Ich denke an dich, wenn der Wind weht - Kapitel 91
"For example... how did you leave Yangzhou?" His slow, deliberate words piqued her curiosity, his bright, drunken eyes filled with desire as he caressed her soft body, his breath growing heavier. "And..." He suddenly thrust forward, penetrating her deeply. The abrupt action interrupted her quiet listening, and she couldn't help but moan.
When he was drunk, he was very different from usual. He seemed to enjoy teasing her, teasing her slowly and deliberately until she trembled uncontrollably and her fair face flushed red.
"Call me." He whispered seductively in her ear, his long, slender fingers twisting wickedly.
She remained silent, her breathing erratic, and fine beads of sweat appeared on the tip of her nose.
"Call my name, okay?" He persisted in coaxing, enduring the same hardship.
“You…” Her dark eyes, like pools of water, brimmed with anger and a deadly allure.
"Yun Shu." He chuckled softly. "I want to hear you call me that."
Desire drove her to lose her mind, and her cherry lips trembled slightly.
"cloud…………"
She uttered only one word, then shook her head and tried to push him away, only to be met with even more stimulating teasing, which she could no longer resist.
"…Xie Yunshu!" she screamed angrily, her fingertips digging into his back.
He chuckled softly, lowered his head to kiss her lips, and his well-built body finally let loose, thrusting wildly like a wild horse, releasing his long-suppressed desires. In the ecstasy of pleasure, she forgot everything, responding again and again, until she was utterly exhausted…
"Are you angry?" He smiled.
Her slender body remained motionless, her back turned.
"I just wanted you to call me," he said apologetically. "Such a beautiful voice, just once. It's your fault for never calling me."
"I hate this kind of tactic." The angry words seemed to burst out.
“But I love seeing you lose control.” He turned her around and kissed her forcefully, his expression playful and mischievous. “Such a sensitive body, it’s wonderful.”
"You're just taking advantage of my weakness." She angrily punched him, but no matter how hard she tried, her fists were weak and limp, landing on his chest like a game.
"I don't get many chances to bully you," he admitted with a wicked grin, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. "Or maybe next time it'll be your turn?"
"I'm not like you..." Jun Yan was utterly shameless, and she didn't know which words to choose.
“Pianxian.” He suddenly called out softly, lifting her delicate chin. “I like this name; it suits you better than Jia Ye.”
She paused for a moment, her stubbornness vanished, and she silently lowered her eyes.
“Fluttering…” As she murmured softly, her fingertips slowly traced her dark eyelashes, as if caressing a priceless treasure. “…This time, I’ve caught you.”
Sending off the bride
Jun Suiyu, the patriarch of the powerful and wealthy Jun family in the northern martial arts world, personally escorted her to Yangzhou for her wedding. The extravagant and lavish procession astonished everyone, and countless people speculated about the appearance of the Jun family's young lady, obsessed with catching a glimpse of her. Some said she was a celestial being, others said she was a fox spirit; the rumors, both true and false, reached their peak at the moment of departure.
Jun Pianqian was hidden inside an exquisite carriage drawn by six fine horses, her true face unseen. Riding alongside her was the incomparably handsome third young master of the Xie family. Contrary to rumors of being forced, he was always smiling and in a very good mood.
The car moved extremely slowly, as leisurely as appreciating flowers and scenery.
It took several times longer to reach Yangzhou, where they checked into the Jun family's villa.
Xie Yunshu and his elder brother returned to the Xie family and began making preparations for the upcoming wedding. More guests flocked to Yangzhou from all directions, and prominent families from both the north and south gathered. The number of guests was unprecedented, even exceeding that of Xie Zhenchuan's birthday banquet. The entire city of Yangzhou was filled with anticipation for the grand event.
The Xie family's villa was peaceful and undisturbed. Upon arriving in Yangzhou, everything was handled by the Xie family, making things much easier.
Shuangjing placed a bowl of lotus seeds and several dishes of delicate snacks on the table, then helped her to sit under the osmanthus tree to cool off. It was summer, the sky was full of stars, and fireflies occasionally flew low among the green grass and flowering trees, mingling with the faint fragrance of lotus seeds, creating a tranquil and serene atmosphere.
"Everything is arranged, and tomorrow will be a fine day." His warm smile remained unchanged. "Don't overthink it. He told me to keep a close eye on you before he left."
"Such elaborate and extravagant arrangements," she couldn't help but scoff. "How could I possibly have a chance to back out?"
"It was all from his heart."
She gave a soft hum and didn't say anything.
Jun Suiyu laughed again and readily admitted, "Alright, I agree with him that it should be more formal."
It's not just words that can describe it; even the faint whispers and fragments can reveal a glimpse of what tomorrow will bring.
Shuangjing stepped forward and explained the arrangements in detail, outlining the various customs to be aware of on the auspicious day, such as bowing upon entering the house, serving tea, and kowtowing. The whole process was complicated and tedious, and Xiu's eyebrows gradually furrowed as she listened.
Jun Suiyu was not surprised. "It was indeed a bit troublesome, but fortunately it only happened once."
After a long silence, she rubbed her temples with her slender fingers. "Wouldn't it be too embarrassing for the bride to collapse halfway through?"
Jun Suiyu chuckled in comfort. "Don't worry, the matchmaker is supporting you every step of the way. With the internal energy she transferred to you, you won't make a fool of yourself."
Looking at her delicate, jade-like hands, she sighed softly.
"I really don't understand why I had to marry someone like this..."
The person on the other end wouldn't allow any growing wavering. "You will be happy."
“I can’t do anything except kill people, and I’m not the kind of daughter-in-law the Xie family wants. I’m so incompetent right now, I’m just a burden.” She didn’t belittle herself, she was simply stating the facts.
“He doesn’t need you to do anything to marry him,” Jun Suiyu said gently. “To love someone, all you need is for that person to be there; nothing else matters.”
"Won't you regret it? You know how much trouble I cause."
Jun Suiyu picked up a jade bowl from the side and peeled the lotus seeds for her. The green lotus husks fell onto the table, and the lotus seeds were as white as jade. "He knows what he wants, and besides, he is capable of doing so."
His listless gaze fell on the heavy load of green grapes hanging from the trellis. "I'd rather be stronger myself."
"Why does this sound a little strange to me?" After removing the bitter core, Jun Suiyu placed the lotus seed in her slender palm. "Such inner turmoil is unlike you."
She paused for a moment, then Jun Suiyu smiled again, a smile of relief and emotion.
"But I feel good, finally there are things you care about, people you care about."
Thinking back to their first meeting four years ago, it was probably the first time she tried to believe, to let go of her pride and defenses in the face of love. But because of the unfamiliarity, she felt even more lost and confused. "I hope you can have a little more faith in him."
Are you encouraging me to be weak?
"Don't be too hard on yourself; we are all just ordinary people."
She disagreed. "Who likes to carry a burden when they have to rely on others for everything?"
“Such a beautiful woman, every man in the world would fight over her,” Jun Suiyu joked. “Miss Jun should marry the most outstanding man and need not worry about anything.”
Qingyan disagreed, and he couldn't help but sigh softly.
"My father would think the same way in the afterlife, and he would be just as proud of you as I am."
Her long eyelashes drooped as she spoke of her deceased father.
“I…I don’t think so. Maybe he would hate me. I killed him…”
“It’s none of your business.” Jun Suiyu interrupted her, preventing her from continuing. “You’ve done enough, so much so that it makes me feel ashamed.”
She paused for a moment. "Did he... tell you?"
"Hmm." Gently prying open her clenched palms, all she felt was tenderness and guilt. "I'm sorry, I only had time to apologize for making you suffer so much all by yourself."
Gazing at her trembling long eyelashes, Jun Suiyu spoke in a very soft voice.
"Tomorrow you will be the most beautiful bride, and they will all be watching from heaven... My only sister, you have nothing to fear, and you don't need to suffer any grievances. No one in the Xie family will dare to look down on you. If anything unpleasant happens one day, you can come home, and I will arrange everything. It would be a real joke if Jun Suiyu couldn't even protect his own family."
He raised his hand and touched her dark hair, his gesture full of protective intimacy.
“Pianxian, you are outstanding and deserve anyone. I’m not saying this just because you’re my sister.” Her gentle words couldn’t hide her pride. “Not everyone understands your worth. He has good taste, knows how to cherish you, and will make you happy.”
"Thank you... for everything you've done for me."
After a long silence, he smiled, his dark eyes misty.
"elder brother."
Author's Note: Thank you for the long review from "Walking Away," it's my absolute favorite! I'm so excited I'm starting to ramble on!
I originally wanted to add a little extra chapter, but to show my gratitude, I'll update the main story instead. (Tearful eyes, falling down for a passionate kiss)
Xiaoye got married, and she couldn't refuse. Circumstances were beyond her control; the two men had already made the decision, hehe.
Many relatives felt that marrying into Yangzhou was unsuitable. Objectively speaking, Xiaoye's personality... is quite aloof and cold, and she doesn't like socializing.
Unless something forces her to change, she'll probably stay isolated from people for the rest of her life. As her mother, how could I bear that? So...
Who threw that brick? Ouch, that hurts! π_π At least wait until someone has a pot lid on their roof before throwing it...
Marriage compatibility
The Lotus Viewing Festival falls on June 24th.
The Xie family held a grand banquet with a thousand tables and countless guests, welcoming this distinguished lady on an unprecedented scale.
Countless distinguished guests gathered, with representatives from numerous prominent families in attendance. The martial arts world of both the north and south was practically empty, as no one wanted to miss this unprecedented feast. Carriages from all directions clogged the streets for miles around, spectators thronged the area, drums and music resounded, and gifts piled high like mountains. The bride's dowry was magnificent, and the procession was splendid, leaving everyone in awe.
As the matchmaker helped the bride down from the sedan chair, everyone looked over, as if trying to see through the tasseled red veil. The bright red wedding dress was elaborate and beautiful, accentuating her slender waist and graceful steps; every movement was delicate and charming.
Before even seeing their faces, most of them had already felt pity for them.
Several pairs of eyes were fixed on the scene, one of them glistening with tears, seemingly overwhelmed with emotion and completely deaf to her brother's words of comfort. Jun Suiyu, as a member of the bride's family, sat in the hall, smiling as he watched the bride enter, surrounded by her wedding attendants and bridesmaids.
Amidst laughter and chatter, the traditional wedding ceremony was performed: bowing to heaven and earth, paying respects to the elders and guests. The scene was lively and joyous. Finally, everything was settled, and the newlyweds were led to their bridal chamber by a red ribbon. They hadn't gone far when suddenly a mournful whimper was heard, and a snow-white puppy darted out from the side, lunging straight at the bride's skirt. The usually docile pet had suddenly become agitated, and Madam Xie's face paled. The entire room gasped in surprise. The matchmaker reacted swiftly, leaping forward and deftly deflecting the puppy aside, averting a potential disturbance.
With her head covered by a veil, she couldn't see clearly. The numerous and tedious rituals had already exhausted her legs. Now, without support, she lost her balance and took a step back, accidentally stepping on her trailing red dress. She was about to fall backward. Xie Yunshu reacted quickly, grabbing her slender waist and managing to stop her fall. However, the red veil on the bride's head couldn't be saved and fluttered to the ground in the wind.
To make matters worse, as she turned around, she tore off the pearl tassel hanging from the phoenix crown, and a string of bright pearls immediately scattered and fell to the ground with a clatter, each pearl the size of a fingertip rolling all over the ground.
The noisy wedding hall fell silent instantly.
Beneath the dazzling phoenix crown, a face of unparalleled beauty was revealed.
A floral decoration adorned her brow, her snow-white cheeks painted with delicate makeup, her fair and jade-like face flushed with a rosy hue, and her bright, watery eyes filled with regret and embarrassment as she stared at the two remaining pearls in her hand, unsure of what to do.
The stagnant atmosphere made things increasingly awkward, and her beautiful face grew redder as she looked at Xie Yunshu for help.
"...This...this dress is a bit long..."
Her bewildered and helpless face evoked deep tenderness in everyone. Although her voice was very soft, everyone in the room heard it clearly and silently responded, their eyes wide with admiration.
The handsome man in red took the pearl from her delicate hands and smiled generously.
"It's my fault. I should have protected you and helped you get in."
Without regard for etiquette, he scooped her up in his arms, her slender body nestled within. A commotion erupted around them, whistles and laughter nearly lifting the roof off. Amidst the sighs and laughter of the two figures, praise mingled with envy. Who would have thought the bride would be such a stunning beauty, possessing both wealth and grace, a match made in heaven?
Amidst the commotion, a distraught face stared in the direction where the figure had disappeared, tears suddenly streaming down her face as her brother led her to an inconspicuous corner.
"Fengge, why are you doing this?" Bai Kunyu whispered, standing in front of her sister.
