In the dim light, someone shouted, "Help! Murder!"
The whole bar was in an uproar.
People were like ants on a hot pan, scrambling to get out.
In the chaos, Yan Shenyu and Wu Yun were separated. Yan Shenyu lost his support and fell to the ground, surrounded by hurried footsteps. He used his hands to hold onto the sofa and slowly climbed up on his own. Just as he was about to get up, someone reached out and helped him.
"Thank you." Yan Shenyu finally stood up straight and thanked him gratefully.
However, the hands behind her did not let go. Yan Shenyu turned around and saw a portly man.
Yan Shenyu pulled her arm away: "Thank you for earlier, now please let go of me."
"Are you drunk?" The man not only didn't let go, but instead grabbed his arms tightly, being overly enthusiastic. "I know a hotel nearby. Let me take you there to rest first."
"You stumbled upon a corpse on your father's head?" Yan Shenyu sneered and raised his fist to smash it over.
However, he did not expect that under the influence of the drug, he had almost no strength left. Let alone punching the other person away, it was even a problem whether he could touch the person.
The light, effortless movement was quickly dodged, and the other person grabbed his wrist, a lewd and greedy smile on their face: "You've got personality, I like that. Once we're in bed, you can hit me however you want..."
Before he could finish speaking, Yan Shenyu smashed a wine bottle down.
With a loud "whoosh," the fat man took a solid hit to the head.
"Are you looking for death?" The fat man was enraged and raised his hand to punch him.
Yan Shenyu gripped the sharp bottle tightly, ready to strike hard.
However, the next moment, the fat man's hand, which had been used to commit the violence, was grabbed by a large hand. The fat man's face turned red, but he couldn't move an inch.
"Get lost." A tall man stood in front of Yan Shenyu, his eyes cold and sharp.
The fat man was really reluctant to part with such a gem, but when he met the man's sinister gaze, he didn't dare to linger for a moment and left in a panic.
Yan Shenyu still gripped the beer bottle handle tightly, stubbornly holding on despite his body being at its limit.
"Alright, it's fine now." Xie Siyan turned around, worried that the beer bottle might have cut his hand, and gently took the bottle out of Yan Shenyu's palm.
Yan Shenyu did not answer, but she was no longer as fierce as before, and let Xie Siyan take the weapon from her hand.
After taking the beer bottle away, Xie Siyan didn't touch him, but kept a safe distance and politely asked, "Can you still walk?"
The next moment, Yan Shenyu's body went limp and she fell into Xie Siyan's arms.
Chapter 20: Grasp the Ankle.
Xie Siyan instinctively hugged Yan Shenyu, but when he actually touched her body, he couldn't help but stiffen—he had never been so intimate with anyone before.
It felt like holding a hot potato; you couldn't throw it away, and you couldn't hold onto it either.
But Xie Siyan quickly had no time to think about these things, as more people poured out of the bar, pushing him and Yan Shenyu out together.
Xie Siyan helped Yan Shenyu walk towards the exit, his sharply defined face tense.
Before this, he had almost never been to a bar, and he had no idea that the smell inside could be so suffocating. The bar was poorly ventilated, and the smell of alcohol, cigarettes, snacks, fruit platters, desserts, and human sweat mixed together to create an almost nauseating odor.
Xie Siyan quickened his pace and walked outside.
During this process, people kept bumping into them, but Xie Siyan carefully held Yan Shenyu in his arms, preventing him from getting hurt in the slightest.
As the city night breeze blew against him, Xie Siyan breathed in the fresh air of the street and finally let out a long sigh of relief.
Just then, Yan Shenyu, who had fainted, woke up. He got up from Xie Siyan and said gratefully, "Thank you for bringing me out."
He already felt bad about being helped all the way, and now that he was awake, he naturally couldn't keep leaning on the person.
But Xie Siyan mistakenly thought he wanted to go back by himself. He had drunk so much, how could he not even have the slightest sense of self-preservation?
Xie Siyan frowned, tightened her grip on his shoulder, and said in a serious tone, "I'll take you home."
"No need to trouble yourself, my friend will come to pick me up."
Where is your friend?
"We got separated just now."
Hearing this, Xie Siyan's expression turned cold: "A qualified friend would not leave a drunk friend alone in a bar."
Hearing the other party question Wu Yun, Yan Shenyu's expression also turned cold. He broke free from Xie Siyan's grasp and said coldly, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Xie, but whether my friend is qualified or not is not up to you to decide."
Neither of them was willing to back down, and the atmosphere became deadlocked for a time.
Yan Shenyu stood at the door with his arms crossed, staring motionless at the bar exit.
His black T-shirt clung to his body in the wind, outlining his thin and frail frame, with a slender and white neck visible behind him. His eyes were flushed with a physiological redness from the medication, yet his expression remained cold and stubborn. A blend of vulnerability and strength clung to him, making it almost impossible to look away.
For some reason, Xie Siyan suddenly felt a little uncomfortable. He glanced at Yan Shenyu's reddened eyes, then quickly looked away, and awkwardly apologized, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have made such a hasty judgment about your friend just now."
Yan Shenyu was taken aback for a moment, and his attitude softened accordingly.
"Thank you for saving me just now," he said, tucking the hair that was blowing in his face behind his ear and looking up as he asked, "If it won't take up too much time, could you please stay with me while I wait for my friend?"
Xie Siyan did not refuse and stood with him on the roadside.
Because of the earlier conflict, all the customers in the bar rushed out and crowded at the entrance, waiting to hail a taxi. People kept trying to squeeze towards them, but whenever someone was about to touch Yan Shenyu, Xie Siyan calmly blocked them away.
On the other side, Yan Shenyu took out her phone to call Wu Yun, but no one answered.
Could something have happened? Yan Shenyu was a little worried and turned to walk into the bar, but her legs went weak after taking just one step. The feeling that she had just managed to suppress came back.
"Watch out—" Xie Siyan caught him in time.
The places he was touched burned intensely, almost consuming his reason. Yan Shenyu clenched his hands until a sharp pain shot through his palms, which barely brought him back to his senses.
"I'm sorry," he said weakly, leaning against Xie Siyan, "my friend didn't answer the phone, I want to go in and check on him."
"How are you going to get in looking like this?" Xie Siyan thought for two seconds and calmly said, "I'll go, you wait here."
However, as soon as he let go, Yan Shenyu's legs went weak and he collapsed.
"You..." Xie Siyan quickly supported him, finally realizing that Yan Shenyu's condition was not right.
He was supposed to be drunk, but he was spotless and smelled nothing of alcohol; yet, he wasn't drunk, his cheeks were flushed and his limbs felt weak. Xie Siyan racked his brains but couldn't find a reasonable explanation.
Yan Shenyu: "I've been drugged."
"Drugned?" Xie Siyan was stunned and didn't react for a moment.
He's made it so obvious, and you still don't understand? Are you really that naive? This isn't abstinence; you've clearly never had sex education!
"Do you know about aphrodisiacs?" Yan Shenyu leaned on Xie Siyan's shoulder as she explained, unable to suppress a laugh. "I was drugged with an aphrodisiac, the kind that makes you feel horny and want to have sex with someone..."
The boy was leaning on his shoulder, talking to him, his head buried in the side of his neck. As he spoke, his warm, moist breath sprayed onto his neck, like a feather gently brushing against him, making him feel ticklish.
Xie Siyan had never experienced such a scene before. His muscles were tense, and he almost forgot to breathe.
After what seemed like an eternity, he cleared his throat and said in a hoarse voice, "I'll take you to the hospital."
Yan Shenyu was led to the back seat of the Rolls-Royce by Xie Siyan.
This car is custom-made, much longer than the Phantoms on the market. With the rear seats fully folded down, it's big enough for a 1.8-meter-tall adult to lie down. As a CEO who treats work as a mission, Xie Siyan has perfectly mastered the skill of resting during his commute.
Seeing that Yan Shenyu was not in a good state, he took the initiative to help adjust the seat to be fully reclined before getting into the car from the other side.
The car door closed, and the driver's side partition slowly rose, leaving only the two of them in the spacious back seat.
Rolls-Royce's excellent sound insulation and vibration damping system keeps the cabin at an extremely low decibel level, so quiet that you can even hear each other breathing.
A moment later, Xie Siyan added, "I'll have someone keep an eye on your friend."
After he finished speaking, he asked Wu Yun for his name and physical characteristics, and then made a phone call to ask someone to keep an eye out for him.
Yan Shenyu breathed a sigh of relief and sincerely thanked him. He had to admit, Xie Siyan's appearance had been a great help.
No one spoke after that. Yan Shenyu closed her eyes and lay on the back seat, enduring the effects of the drugs in her body.
He lay quietly in the chair, his exposed limbs so white they were almost dazzling, blending into the white sheepskin cushion.
Xie Siyan glanced at it once before looking away, but even with his eyes closed, that bright white image remained in his mind. His hands, resting on the seat, unconsciously clenched, the veins on the back of his hands bulging. A moment later, Xie Siyan took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, opening his iPad to distract himself with work.
He didn't know how much time had passed when he heard Yan Shenyu calling him. Xie Siyan looked up and saw Yan Shenyu's flushed cheeks.
Xie Siyan closed the tablet, his voice still relatively calm: "Is it hot? Should we turn the air conditioning down a bit?"
The latter shook his head and whispered, "Is there a small refrigerator in the car? Could I have a bottle of ice water?"
Unfortunately, the CEO doesn't have the habit of drinking beverages; his car only contains a bunch of alcohol and ice to accompany it.
Xie Siyan opened the small refrigerator, feeling inexplicably embarrassed: "Is it okay to freeze things?"
"Okay." Yan Shenyu licked her dry lips and said thank you.
Xie Siyan filled a glass to the brim for him. When his hot palm touched the cold glass, Yan Shenyu let out a long breath, finally suppressing the restlessness within him.
After cooling his hands, he pressed his cheek against the cool glass and breathed softly through his open lips. The air condensed and adhered to the glass, leaving a trail of water droplets on his skin, like dewdrops trembling on the grass in the early morning.
Xie Siyan sat upright to the side, not daring to look at him for even a second.
About ten minutes later, Yan Shenyu returned the water glass to Xie Siyan. He had drunk all the melted water, and now only hard chunks of ice remained inside.
Xie Siyan glanced at it, somewhat puzzled, and asked, "Do you want more ice?"
“No need,” Yan Shenyu shook her head, then sat up and began to untie her shoelaces.
It wasn't the kind of untying you do when taking off your shoes; it was just pulling the shoelaces off the sneakers directly.
Xie Siyan looked at this scene with a somewhat bewildered expression.
"Sorry, did the smell bother you?" Yan Shenyu said somewhat embarrassedly. After speaking, he lowered his head and sniffed again, saying, "My shoes and socks are newly changed, and I didn't do any strenuous exercise, so there shouldn't be any smell."
"Uh..." It really has no taste, but...
Xie Siyan cleared his throat and asked casually, "What are you doing?"
"Untie your shoelaces."
"Clam?"
"Then tie yourself up."
"Huh??" For some reason, that feeling of helplessness he had when facing Yan Shenyu resurfaced. Because he never knew what astonishing thing this person would do next.
"Wasn't I drugged? That's why I tied myself up so I wouldn't harm you."
