Chapter 53

She uncontrollably fell into his arms.

His lips, thick with passion and filled with a sense of catharsis, bit her. Jiang Jianhuan instinctively braced herself against his shoulder, but a hand pressed down hard on her waist.

Her body went limp, and she fell completely into Su Mo's palm.

Jiang Jianhuan was dazed from the kisses and felt a slight pain on her lips. She rarely saw Su Mo like this, unless it was when they lost control in bed before, when he would fiercely twist her tongue as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

Jiang Jianhuan felt like she couldn't breathe and couldn't help but sob and struggle, pounding his shoulder hard. Su Mo seemed not to hear her, and finally kissed her twice more before letting go.

The two men were breathing heavily, their heads pressed together, their lips wet and bright red.

Before Jiang Jianhuan could even utter a rebuke, Su Mo unexpectedly moved closer, burying her head in Jiang's neck, licking and biting. Her lips and tongue were warm and wet, sending a tingling, numbing sensation through her, like being bitten by insects.

Jiang Jianhuan shuddered and reached out to push his head.

Su Mo remained unmoved, still kissing her neck, and even seemed to be moving downwards. Jiang Jianhuan became fierce, inserting her fingers into his thick hair and pulling hard.

Su Mo winced in pain and finally released her.

"What are you doing?!" Jiang Jianhuan said fiercely, meeting his eyes. Those once clear and cold eyes were now dark and gloomy, filled with a sense of loss of control, and a faint red tinge had spread at the corners of his eyes.

Su Mo stared at her, remaining silent for a long time, a clear look of pain flashing across his face.

"What exactly do you want me to do for you to forgive me?"

His voice was low, hoarse, and slow, as if it were slowly torturing her heart. Jiang Jianhuan stared wide-eyed for a long time without blinking.

Su Mo waited motionless for her answer, as if accepting some kind of judgment.

“I forgave you a long time ago, Su Mo,” Jiang Jianhuan said quietly.

"What happened back then was a series of unfortunate events, it's not entirely your fault." She paused, a glint of light flashing in Su Mo's eyes, but a strange unease welled up in her heart.

The next second, Jiang Jianhuan calmly announced.

"I just don't want to be with you anymore."

A single, casual remark felt like a death sentence; Su Mo lost all strength in an instant, his gaze becoming unfocused.

The constraints on her gradually disappeared, and her hand gently slid down from her waist. Su Mo lowered her head, her bangs obscuring her eyes.

"Why?" A soft question came, but it vanished into thin air before Jiang Jianhuan could react. He blinked slowly, and the words he uttered were resolute and cruel.

"There's no reason why, I just don't want to think about it anymore."

"Have you fallen for someone else?" Su Mo looked up at her, his eyes empty. His lips trembled, as if he wanted to say something, but he couldn't get the words out.

What he really wanted to ask was, "Don't you like me anymore?"

But Su Mo knew that he simply couldn't bear that answer.

"This has nothing to do with you and me."

Jiang Jianhuan said, having already stood up and straightened his clothes, quietly waiting to the side, seemingly ready to see the guest off.

After a long silence, Su Mo finally stood up slowly, walked to the door, and turned to look at her as he opened it.

"I'm leaving."

"Be careful on the road," she said softly, her eyes lowered.

The wind was cold downstairs. Su Mo shivered as soon as he went out. A chill rose from the depths of his body and spread to his limbs. He walked along the alley and wandered aimlessly for an unknown amount of time until he was recognized by two girls on the street.

He rubbed his face, snapping himself out of it. He looked around, took out his phone, and called Li Sa to come pick him up.

The iro Fall/Winter fashion show required a total of thirty outfits, with the main model's outfit designed by Jiang Yuan herself, appearing as the finale.

Each lead designer is required to submit six ready-to-wear designs, and the remaining slots are reserved for the ordinary designers.

Jiang Jianhuan has always performed exceptionally well since joining the company, and this time is no exception. Among all the design drafts submitted, her approval rate is the highest.

This not only aroused envy but also won the respect of others.

The entire process was open and transparent, and the design of her clothes was indeed unique, novel, and aesthetically pleasing, leaving no room for criticism.

Fang Xiaoli was essentially just a participant this time, a trial opportunity. Although she had prepared herself mentally, she still couldn't help but look dejected and unhappy when the two ate together.

"Sigh, I knew it. None of my designs were good enough. Director Jiang didn't like any of them."

"It's okay, everyone has a first time." Jiang Jianhuan continued to comfort her dutifully. Fang Xiaoli gave her a reproachful look and said quietly.

"Don't say that in front of me. All the words of comfort you say sound so weak."

"..." Jiang Jianhuan wisely remained silent, while Fang Xiaoli announced her reasons in a dejected and frustrated manner.

"Because you've done all of these..."

Jiang Jianhuan had heard similar words from her a lot recently. After pondering for a few seconds, he finally spoke.

“Actually, this isn’t my first job,” she said earnestly, looking at Fang Xiaoli.

"I did internships when I was studying abroad, and that's when I started getting into design. What you see now is all the result of those years of accumulation." Of course, there's also a certain amount of talent.

"Really?" Fang Xiaoli looked surprised, then a hint of joy appeared in her eyes.

"Jianhuan, then quickly tell me about what happened back then. What did your first draft look like?!"
