Chapter 21

"Was the master's red string a gift from someone?" Ji Zhaoming suddenly heard Gu Yunzhou ask.

The red string in his hand twirled around, and Ji Zhaoming thought for a moment: "I don't remember either."

Gu Yunzhou said, "The master seems to care a lot about this red string."

He had seen it more than once: whenever Ji Zhaoming was thinking or in danger, he would subconsciously touch his red string.

Judging from the books Gu Yunzhou has been reading recently, they must have been given by a very important person.

Gu Yunzhou emphasized, "It looks very good."

The topic jumped so quickly that Ji Zhaoming looked at Gu Yunzhou with a completely bewildered expression.

Then he looked at the pile of gifts behind him.

Thinking about it this way, he received so many gifts from the robot, but it seems he hasn't given anything back yet.

Ji Zhaoming understood, and clenched one hand into a fist, tapping it against the palm of his other hand: "I also have something I want to give you."

“…you guys?” Gu Yunzhou repeated these two words.

Ji Zhaoming asked, "Hmm? Isn't that what you meant?"

You gave him so many gifts, and then asked about the gifts. Didn't you want gifts in return?

Ji Zhaoming said with a smile, "Don't be shy, it was my oversight. But I need to think carefully about what to give you. The gifts you gave me are all too precious."

You can tell by how scared the little fox was.

The little fox had just picked up the Milky Way, and Gu Yunzhou delivered it to him right afterward.

Gu Yunzhou wasn't present when he was discussing this with the little fox, so it must have been another robot who overheard it, told Gu Yunzhou, and then they worked together to find it.

He really owes robots too much.

Ji Zhaoming tentatively asked, "Is there anything you like?"

Without thinking, Gu Yunzhou replied, "Master."

Who says the leader of the robots is taciturn and never smiles?!

She's clearly very good at sweet talk!

Ji Zhaoming blushed and said, "Besides this."

Even if he really wanted to give it away, he couldn't possibly cut himself into so many pieces.

Gu Yunzhou thought, then there's nothing good to give.

All he wanted was Ji Zhaoming.

Meeting Ji Zhaoming's bright, sparkling eyes, Gu Yunzhou paused before replying, "Anything given by the master is fine."

Even if Ji Zhaoming casually picked a fruit and gave it to those robots, they would be overjoyed and want to keep it for a lifetime.

Just as Ji Zhaoming was about to tell Gu Yunzhou to think it over seriously, he suddenly remembered the snowman they had built outside and fell silent.

He actually found Gu Yunzhou's words to be quite reasonable.

Ji Zhaoming had no money on hand, and he didn't plan to borrow any. If he borrowed money from the robot, what kind of gift would that be?

Of course, this place is full of robots, so he couldn't find a place to buy anything.

Finally, he asked Gu Yunzhou for some wire, some paper, and a box of paintbrushes.

When night fell, Ji Zhaoming locked the doors and windows, turned on the warm yellow light, and lay on the table to start coloring the paper.

In front of him lay the Milky Way, the gift Gu Yunzhou had given him during the day.

Ji Zhaoming audited a few classes at the handicraft club during his university years. He first painted the paper blue-black and then decorated it with long starry lines.

The Milky Way looks like the Milky Way, but there are subtle differences. For example, one Milky Way is extremely conspicuous, but other than that, there is nothing else.

Ji Zhaoming added dots of starlight to the paper, distributing them around the Milky Way, and their brilliance was comparable to that of the Milky Way itself.

If he were to draw the moon, the picture would become too complicated. Ji Zhaoming stopped drawing, folded the paper into the shape of flower petals, and stuck them onto the wire bit by bit.

The paper was small, so the fake Milky Way that was made was also smaller than the real Milky Way. Ji Zhaoming covered his mouth with his hand, yawned lightly, and made several more, clustering them together.

Finally, tie it securely.

Ji Zhaoming had a good memory. He identified the robots he had seen in his mind and decided to give each robot a bouquet of flowers. Fearing that he might miss one, he made a few extra flowers.

By the time I finished, it was already past eleven o'clock.

The night was eerily quiet. Ji Zhaoming got up, moved a chair, and quietly pushed it into the table. Just as he was about to turn off the light, he suddenly heard rustling sounds outside.

The footsteps stopped outside the door, lingered for a moment, and then remained still.

Ji Zhaoming: ?

He tiptoed and quietly walked to the door.

It's so late, is anyone else coming?

Strangely, the voice never left after it appeared outside the door; it remained quiet, as if no one was there.

Ji Zhaoming was a little scared.

Could it be... a thief?

That's not right either. The security system here has been upgraded. How could a thief possibly break in?

Or perhaps a rabbit/fox?

Otherwise, why would the footsteps be so light?

Just in case, Ji Zhaoming still walked over to the table, picked up the scissors, and turned off the light.

The room was plunged into darkness.

When vision is obstructed, the sense of hearing is amplified, and Ji Zhaoming heard what sounded like movement outside.

Finally, the doorknob was turned.

They were very careful, afraid of disturbing the people inside.

Before entering the house, Ji Zhaoming listened to Gu Yunzhou's words and obediently locked the door, which was not opened.

Ji Zhaoming dared not utter a sound and leaned against the wall.

Soon, Ji Zhaoming heard the sound of a key being inserted into the door lock.

Ji Zhaoming was puzzled. The person who had the key should be a robot, right? Could it be Gu Yunzhou?

But what is Gu Yunzhou doing here so late?

Like doing something thief.

Ji Zhaoming muttered to himself for a moment, then relaxed his grip on the scissors a little.

The door was opened.

By the moonlight, Ji Zhaoming could see the person's prominent nose and deep-set eyes.

It really was Gu Yunzhou.

Ji Zhaoming was completely relieved and said with a smile, "Why were you so quiet? I thought it was someone else."

Gu Yunzhou looked down at the scissors in Ji Zhaoming's hand, somewhat embarrassed: "Master, you're not asleep yet?"

"Well, I was making a gift for you guys, so I stayed up a little late. I'm going to bed now."

Ji Zhaoming walked to the bedside and placed the scissors on the small table at the corner of the bed. Gu Yunzhou followed and bent down, preparing to put the scissors further away, when he suddenly stopped.

He saw his king, who, without any warning, casually and brazenly took off his coat.

Next came the shirt.

His skin, as warm as jade, revealed its full beauty in the dim night, bathed in the bright moonlight. His owner was completely unaware as he reached out, his figure elongated, revealing two dimples at the back of his waist.

The dimples of my waist were filled with a large expanse of moonlight.

Ji Zhaoming finally managed to snag a pair of pajamas.

He buried his head in his pajamas, then turned around, revealing two cherry-red nipples on his chest.

In the quiet night, Gu Yunzhou heard his own heartbeat, so fierce, like a beast released from its cage, ready to devour him whole.

Gu Yunzhou's Adam's apple bobbed up and down.

When the robot woke up the next day, it was busily running outside.

As soon as Ji Zhaoming opened his eyes, he heard footsteps that had been deliberately slowed down.

A hushed conversation came from the window. Ji Zhaoming rubbed his eyes, yawned, and followed the sound, getting out of bed barefoot and glancing outside.

The window was closed. As soon as Ji Zhaoming opened it, a cold wind rushed into the room. Ji Zhaoming, who was not dressed warmly, shivered and quickly put on an outer coat to avoid catching a cold.

Just as I was about to return to the window, there was a knock on the door.

Ji Zhaoming exclaimed "Ah!" and opened the door.

Gu Yunzhou said, "Good morning, Master."

Before he could make his next move, his gaze shifted downwards and landed on Ji Zhaoming's bare feet.

Her feet were fair and clean, with slightly reddish toes. Her owner felt guilty being stared at like that, and her toes curled up.

Gu Yunzhou quickly grabbed the shoes from beside the bed.

Just as Ji Zhaoming bent down to put on his clothes, Gu Yunzhou dodged him, pointing to the edge of the bed and gesturing for Ji Zhaoming to sit down.

It seemed to imply that she was helping him put on his clothes.

Ji Zhaoming's face flushed, and he reached out to snatch the shoes back, but shook his head at the same time: "It's okay, I can do it myself."

"Master never wears shoes." Gu Yunzhou disagreed and forced Ji Zhaoming to sit on the edge of the bed.
