A Dream of Transmigration - Chapter 112
Beside the flower stand.
"Let me water it first."
He nodded, then looked at her with amusement: "Strange, aren't you afraid I'll get jealous?"
"You?" She pouted in surprise, rolled her eyes at him, but couldn't help but beam with joy. "Didn't you say I was a jealous person? And you're already jealous! Besides... you know I just..."
He pursed his lips slightly: "Nian'er and I are waiting for you in the hall."
.
On the shelf, the orchid leaves sway, each one sprouting a vibrant green, as fresh and delicate as jade.
Lin Feifei carefully watered the orchids, muttering to herself, "I wonder how you are now? There are so many orchids in the world, I don't know which one is you."
daze.
Behind him, a sigh escaped.
It was none other than Master Zixu. He wore a purple Taoist robe and a white whisk, and his kind face remained unchanged, still exuding the same ethereal and otherworldly air as before.
She smiled and asked, "Master, when did you arrive?"
“I was just passing by,” Master Zixu slowly walked over, frowned as he looked at the orchid, then smiled: “Six hundred years later, when he has achieved success in his cultivation, he will naturally shed his plant form and be reborn as a human, which will fulfill his wish.”
"Reincarnated as a human?" she exclaimed with delight.
Master Zixu did not answer. After a long while, he shook his head and left.
"Abandoning the path of immortality and defying fate will only result in ten short lifetimes, and in the end, you will only have one chance to meet us. Foolish child! Foolish child!"
The long sigh faded away, and the person was nowhere to be seen.

August 2008.
On Maoshan Road.
A girl around 18 years old, wearing a T-shirt and jeans, with a sweet appearance, was squatting next to a roadside stall, staring intently at a pot of orchids, seemingly lost in thought.
The slender leaves, like jade, sway lovelyly in the wind.
.
"You like orchids?" A clear, distant male voice rang out, as if from the clouds.
The girl was startled and turned her head.
A pair of half-closed eyes, like icebergs and snow-capped peaks.
Before she knew it, a man of about twenty-five or twenty-six years old was squatting beside her, handsome yet aloof. His long eyelashes fluttered in the wind, but he didn't look at her; he was only staring at the orchid in front of him.
"Wow, handsome!" The girl stared, stunned. After a moment, she muttered something under her breath, then asked with a grin, "How did you know?"
“You’ve been looking at it for a long time.”
“Really?” She seemed a little surprised, shook her head, and then winked at him mysteriously. “I think I was dreaming about it just now.”
"Oh?" He turned his head. "Dreaming during the day?"
“Uh, I forgot too,” she thought for a moment, “maybe it wasn’t a dream, anyway I think I remembered something.”
He fell silent again and turned to look at the flowers.
She looked at him curiously: "You like orchids too?"
"I'll plant it."
"Growing flowers?" she laughed.
"No, I'm studying medicine. I just returned to China and came here with my mom."
She nodded and casually asked, "Your mother's surname is Su?"
He asked, somewhat puzzled, "You know him?"
She was stunned: "Yes, how would I know?"
The two stared at each other.
After a while, she shook her head and stood up with a grin.
"Ouch!" Her smile vanished instantly. She groaned, her face contorted in pain, and pounded her almost numb leg. "I guess I just bumped into him by chance... Oh dear, I've been delayed for so long. I'm going to the Imperial Palace now. Are you coming too?"
"I just went there."
"Well..." she said with great regret, "He's such a handsome guy! I'll be going now, bye-bye."
"Okay, goodbye." He stood up as well.
They smiled at each other, then turned and walked toward their destination.
.
In autumn, the soft sunlight shines on the mountains, and the long orchid leaves sway gently in the wind, like a painting, like a poem, like a dream.
