El personaje femenino secundario es inocente - Capítulo 3
Ouyang Han ignored her and continued to eat with relish, accompanied by beautiful "music".
Seeing this, Du Peiru immediately went into battle mode, eating voraciously as if afraid there wouldn't be enough to eat. And just like that, the meal was finished!
"Ah! I'm so full!" Du Peiru patted her belly "elegantly".
Ouyang Han listened intently, then gave Du Peiru a wink.
Du Peiru asked, puzzled, "What do you mean by that?"
"Someone's coming!" Ouyang Han said helplessly, pointing to the door as he spoke, then immediately feigning a sickly appearance.

Upon seeing this, Du Peiru cursed inwardly: "I wonder what disease this guy has. How could he suddenly get sick?"
She muttered something as she went to open the door. An old woman stumbled in, knocking Du Peiru to the ground. "Ouch! Who was that blind fool who bumped into your aunt..." Du Peiru hadn't even uttered the word "grandmother" when she remembered she was playing the role of Li Yushan. So Du Peiru immediately changed her expression, put on a fake smile, and gently helped the old woman up, saying, "Grandma, are you hurt?"
Ouyang Han almost burst out laughing at her dramatic change of expression. He suppressed his laughter and asked in a lifeless voice, "Mother Li, is something the matter?"
Mrs. Li chuckled sheepishly as she replied, "No...it's nothing really! I just came to check it out! Hehe, hehe, hehe!"
Upon closer inspection, Du Peiru realized it was just a servant, not an elder, so she scolded, "Look? What are you looking at? Have you lost your mind? Is this something you should be looking at? Aren't you afraid of getting a sty? What kind of status do you have to meddle in your master's private affairs..."
Li's mother blushed with shame and lowered her head after being scolded by Du Peiru.
Seeing this, Ouyang Han coughed, interrupting Du Peiru, and then said, "Mother Li, if you have nothing else to say, you may leave!"
Upon hearing this, Li's mother felt as if she had been granted a pardon, walked out of the room, and left, closing the door behind her.
"Hey! How could you just let her go like that?" Du Peiru asked angrily.
"So how long do you plan to keep cursing her?" Ouyang Han asked, regaining his previous anger.
"This... um! Forget it! I'm magnanimous, so I'll let her off! If she dares to provoke me again, I will never let her go... Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?" Du Peiru saw Ouyang Han walking towards the bed, so she hurriedly ran in front of him to block his way.
Ouyang Han looked at Du Peiru with a puzzled expression and replied, "Of course, it's for sleeping!"
(11)
Upon hearing this, Du Peiru immediately pounced on the bed, sprawling out to claim the entire space. Then, turning her head to Ouyang Han, she said, "I've already claimed this bed. If you want to sleep, go somewhere else!"
After hearing this, Ouyang Han stared at her in astonishment. No! He should be said to be glaring at her!
Seeing Ouyang Han's silly expression, Du Peiru angrily shouted, "What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a beautiful woman before?"
Ouyang Han continued to stare at Du Peiru, utterly astonished. This bride was completely different from what he had imagined. Recalling Du Peiru's series of surprising actions, a smile involuntarily crept onto Ouyang Han's lips.
Seeing Ouyang Han's smile, Du Peiru assumed he was mocking her, so she shouted at him, "What are you laughing at? You're not convinced? Don't think I'd consummate our marriage with a sick man like you. Being a widow is bad enough, but having to suffer with a child is unbearable! If another sick man is born, the consequences would be unimaginable. So we'd better sleep in separate rooms!" Seeing that Ouyang Han remained standing there motionless, Du Peiru assumed he was still resentful and wanted to continue the affair, so she said, "Alright! How about this, we have a three-round contest. If you win, I'll give you the bed; if I don't lose, you'll have to listen to me and find somewhere else to sleep. How about that?"
Ouyang Han remained silent, only looking at her with his eyes.
Du Peiru felt uncomfortable under his gaze, so she shook her head and said, "If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes! To be fair, I'll set the questions!"
Ouyang Han raised an eyebrow, but remained silent.
"Hey! You seem to have some gray hair! Let me pluck it out for you!" Du Peiru said as she went behind Ouyang Han and plucked a hair.
Ouyang Han had no idea what she was up to, so he let her pluck a hair from his head.
"Hmm! Now I announce the first competition is—whoever gets the other's hair first! The winner of the first competition is the female representative, Du... um... Li Yushan wins!" That was close! I almost gave myself away! Luckily, I'm quick-witted, or I'd be dead! Du Peiru thought to herself.
Ouyang Han grinned, thinking: What a mischievous and clever girl.
Du Peiru was stunned when she saw Ouyang Han's smile. Wow! What a charming smile!
Seeing Du Peiru staring blankly at him, Ouyang Han couldn't help but tap her on the head and ask, "So what's the next match?"
"Damn it! Don't you know how to be gentle with a woman? It hurts! Do you know that?" Du Peiru cursed, clutching her head.
Ouyang Han composed himself and said, "Young ladies shouldn't use foul language!"

"Alright! Alright! I won't say anything, okay?" Du Peiru said, giving Ouyang Han a sidelong glance. Then she looked around the room, finally ran to a vase, moved it to the furthest spot from Ouyang Han, found a piece of red paper, tore it in half, crumpled it into two balls, and handed one of the balls to Ouyang Han, saying, "The second competition is to see who can throw the paper ball into the vase first! Men first, you go first!"
Ouyang Han casually tossed the paper ball aside after hearing Du Peiru's words. But it seemed as if the paper ball had eyes, landing perfectly in the vase.
Du Peiru was dumbfounded. How could this be? She clearly saw him not even aim, how could he have made it in? Humph! He was just lucky!
“Your turn!” Ouyang Han said to Du Peiru with a wicked look.
"Oh!" Du Peiru woke up, then walked closer to the vase and put the crumpled paper into it.
“You…” Ouyang Han was so angry at Du Peiru that he couldn’t speak.
"What's wrong with me?" Du Peiru raised her head and glared at Ouyang Han. "I never said how far away I had to stand before throwing the crumpled paper into the vase!" As she spoke, she patted Ouyang Han's shoulder. "Kid, sometimes you have to use your brain!"
"Fine! You win!" Ouyang Han replied resentfully, thinking to himself: She really is a cunning girl!
"There's no need to compete in the third match!" Du Peiru waved her hand and said.
"Why don't we compete? I can still draw with you!" Ouyang Han said defiantly.
"What are your ears for? Did you even hear what I just said?" Du Peiru said, hands on her hips.
"Of course! You said, 'There's no need to play the third match!'"
“That’s not what I said! Before the match, I said, ‘If I don’t lose, you’ll listen to me and find somewhere else to sleep.’ Wasn’t that right?”
Ouyang Han was speechless, thinking to himself: What a clever, mischievous and cunning girl!
“So this bed belongs to me!” Du Peiru emphasized.
Suddenly, Ouyang Han's face turned extremely pale, and he coughed violently, his body swaying as if a gust of wind could blow him over.
Seeing Ouyang Han's condition, Du Peiru quickly helped him sit down and poured him a cup of tea.
Ouyang Han took a sip of tea and gradually stopped coughing.
Du Peiru asked worriedly, "Are you alright?"
"No...it's nothing! It's an old ailment! Don't worry! It's late, you should go to sleep! I'll just lie in the recliner for a while," Ouyang Han said weakly.
(14)
"That won't do! You're the patient, I'll sleep in the recliner!"
"No, no, the bed is yours, there's no reason for me to take it!"
"Just go to sleep when I tell you to! You're so sick, why are you still trying to be strong!"
"How about we sleep together?" Ouyang Han's eyes gleamed.
Upon hearing this, Du Peiru thought Ouyang Han was incredibly immature. But how mature could a pampered 18-year-old nobleman be? Perhaps he didn't even know what a wedding night was? However, she didn't want to sleep on a recliner; that would be too uncomfortable! So Du Peiru nodded in agreement. If Du Peiru had been more alert at that moment, she would have noticed the smile on Ouyang Han's lips and his sharp gaze.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Du Peiru pushed Ouyang Han, who wanted to sleep next to her, off the bed.
"Go to sleep!" Ouyang Han said, feigning ignorance.
"Go away! Go away! Go to the other side of the bed! Don't push your luck!" Du Peiru shouted.
Ouyang Han looked at her pitifully.
"What? You're not convinced? If you're not convinced, you don't have to sleep. I won't pity you anymore!" Du Peiru said.
A wise man doesn't suffer immediate losses, nor is he in a hurry. With that thought, Ouyang Han climbed over to the other side and lay down to sleep.
That night, Du Peiru had a wonderful dream. She dreamt she was sucking on a lollipop, surrounded by piles of all sorts of snacks. "Hehe! Hehe!" Du Peiru giggled foolishly. Wait a minute! Why was the lollipop salty and smelly? Which unscrupulous merchant was selling expired lollipops? I'll smash your shop to pieces! Du Peiru woke up in anger. She was about to confront the merchant, but when she opened her eyes, she saw not the merchant, but a pair of large feet, one toe covered in drool. Du Peiru froze for a moment, then let out a scream, and sprinted at 50-meter speed, overcoming all obstacles to reach the teapot, pick it up, and pour water into her mouth to rinse.
(15)
Ouyang Han was awakened by Du Peiru's screams. Opening his blurry eyes, he saw Du Peiru spraying tea everywhere. He asked curiously, "What are you doing?" Du Peiru seemed not to hear him, continuing to pour and spray water in a manner comparable to a musical fountain. "What are you doing?" After Du Peiru repeated the same action more than ten times, until the teapot was empty, Ouyang Han still stubbornly asked the same question for the fifth time.
"You still have the nerve to ask me why? You heartless bastard! You actually stuck your toes in my mouth! I curse you to die a horrible death, to go to the eighteenth level of hell; I curse you to get foot sores, and for your legs to rot away..." Du Peiru cursed in a very uncouth manner.
"Hey! First, figure out if I'm the one who stuck my toes in your mouth, or if you're the one secretly nibbling on my toes!" Ouyang Han teased Du Peiru. "I absolutely believe my sleeping habits are top-notch!"
Ouyang Han's words successfully stopped Du Peiru's "machine gun barrage." She thought back carefully and remembered that she dreamed of being surrounded by snacks in a room, and then casually picked up a lollipop to eat... Thinking of this, Du Peiru's face flushed red to the roots of her ears.
Just then, there was a rapid knocking at the door.
A voice asked, "Young Madam, open the door quickly! What happened?"
"It's nothing! It's nothing! I just saw a mouse!" Du Peiru quickly replied.
"Give the order to have someone fetch water so that I and the young mistress can wash up!" Ouyang Han said.
"Yes!" the man replied, and he and the others withdrew.
"Oh no!" Du Peiru suddenly remembered something and immediately started rummaging through drawers and cabinets looking for things.
"What are you looking for?" Ouyang Han asked curiously.
"Have you seen a small porcelain bottle containing some red liquid?" Du Peiru asked anxiously.
"No! Why are you looking for it?" Ouyang Han was still confused.
"Fine! Fine! I guess I'll just have to sacrifice myself!" Du Peiru said, picking up the scissors from the dressing table. She walked to the bed, rolled up her sleeves, and prepared to cut, but the scissors had vanished. Du Peiru stared at her empty hands, completely bewildered.
"Do you regret marrying me that much? You'd rather commit suicide!" Ouyang Han demanded loudly. He was still holding Du Peiru's pair of scissors in his hand.
"What did you say? I'm perfectly fine, why would I commit suicide for no reason?" Du Peiru looked at Ouyang Han with an expression that said, "You're such an idiot."
