Глава 33

Yan Zhen glanced at the sky, then found an inn and placed An Xin on a soft couch. An Xin didn't seem to notice anything at first, but then her expression slowly changed.

Yan Zhen gently loosened her silk sash—it was hers!

"Stop!" An Xin finally panicked. The word "shy" hadn't been used in decades, and its sudden, unrestrained attack sent chills down her spine. It was more frightening than seeing a ghost!

"I am second only to the emperor, and no one has ever dared to order me around like this before. Hmm... you have quite the nerve." Yan Zhen spoke slowly and deliberately, but his hands never stopped. He didn't mind taking a look at the spring scenery under the silk robe. He would have to see it sooner or later anyway, so he might as well enjoy it sooner.

"Yan Zhen!" An Xin tried hard to suppress her anger, feeling that if this continued, who knew what this bastard might do!

"Are you angry that I betrayed you?" An Xin, after much painful reflection, decided to examine herself.

"Oh?" Yan Zhen raised a mysterious smile, her fingers pausing for a moment, as if she intended to listen to An Xin continue.

An Xin took a deep breath and said, "You said you would lure them away so I could enter the tomb, but they are all difficult to deal with. If they join forces, wouldn't you be at a great disadvantage?! Although I pushed you to Yu Xian, I at least stopped the other three from attacking together. In the end, it was all for your sake. You can't do this to me!"

Yan Zhen tilted her head slightly to one side, the coldness in her eyes instantly melting away, and instead smiled and said, "In that case, I was the one who misunderstood you?"

An Xin said angrily, "Hurry up and release my pressure points!"

Yan Zhen's eyes flickered, and he casually tied her sash and tucked her into the bed, saying, "I think you must be exhausted after a long day of running around!"

An Xin was puzzled, but then she saw him also get on the bed and lie down beside her.

An Xin gritted her teeth: "What are you going to do now!?"

"Sleep," he answered crisply this time, "with you."

He pulled her into his arms, and the faint scent of his perfume filled her nostrils, mixed with his masculine aroma, causing An Xin's face to flush red.

Yan Zhen pulled her into his arms, his heart pounding slightly, but then a deep weariness washed over him. A metallic taste of blood filled his throat. Yet, at this moment, he was actually ignoring his injuries to catch this little woman! He truly had no principles or bottom line when it came to her!

"Are you injured?" An Xin suddenly asked after a long silence, which made Yan Zhen raise an eyebrow.

The little animal, who was baring its teeth and claws just a moment ago, is now calmly asking him if he's hurt. This girl is really restless...

Yan Zhen raised her eyelashes slightly and lazily looked at her, saying, "Thanks to you, I am badly injured." It turned out that when she held her, she felt so at peace, as if her heart, which had been wandering for many years, had finally found a harbor and tranquility. In just a moment, she had become attached to her.

"Is Yu Xian too strong, or are you too weak?"

Yan Zhen smiled languidly: "You're too conspicuous, you distracted me."

An Xin's body suddenly froze, and the hairpin in her hand inexplicably failed to go in. She was no stranger to acupressure, and Kuang Yanzhen's attack was not heavy-handed. She quickly released the acupressure points. She had originally intended to deliver a fatal blow to this bastard so that she could slip away, but now she hesitated...

This hesitation led to some trouble, and somehow An Xin fell asleep!

In her dream, she was still playing detective games alone in the back garden of her past life. When she looked up, Jing Lan was smiling at her, his chin resting on his hand. Sunlight shone through the French windows onto the boy's face, and at that moment, the sunlight was as warm as a flower.

She didn't know why she ran over there, but when she got there, the boy was gone. The painting on the easel was of a short-haired girl with gentle eyes and a smile as she turned her head.

An Xin thought she had never been like a girl, not gentle enough, and no less capable than a man in a fight. Although the painting clearly depicted herself, she felt very unfamiliar with it.

She couldn't help but ask, "Jinglan, where have you gone? Jinglan, if you come back, I will be as tender as the girl in the painting, but I will no longer treat you like a stranger."

Anxin was just waking up when she suddenly opened her eyes!

She saw a man's face!

"Awake?" The man lying on his side in front of her, one hand supporting his forehead, smiled languidly, like a datura flower blooming leisurely under the moonlight. He was stunning for a moment, but in An Xin's eyes, he was no different from a stone in a cesspool.

She moved her hands and feet; they were slightly numb, but she could still move them. Then she raised her hand, and "slap!"—a five-finger print appeared on the back of Yan Zhen's hand.

This slap in the face is meant to prove them wrong!

"A night of passion between husband and wife is worth a hundred nights of kindness. My lady, you should at least consider our marital bond." Yan Zhen smiled, but An Xin found it incredibly irritating.

An Xin suddenly sat up, like a satiated customer, quickly straightening her clothes and saying expressionlessly, "Husband and wife? Fine, you're divorced!"

"Oh? Is this how the Grand Tutor was divorced?" Yan Zhen turned over, shifting to a more comfortable position, and lazily looked at her.

Ling Xiyao hadn't been mentioned to An Xin for a long time; if he hadn't brought him up, she would have almost completely forgotten about him.

“He’s luckier than you!” An Xin straightened her clothes, then turned to look at Yan Zhen and suddenly smiled. “At least he lives up to his name.”

Yan Zhen's expression suddenly turned somewhat unpleasant. Ling Xiyao and An Xin had been married for three years, and it was obvious what An Xin meant by "true to her name"!

He may have been too late three years ago.

Are you blaming me for not doing anything last night?

"..." This logic is beyond incomprehensible. An Xin rolled her eyes, pulled open the door, but the door didn't budge.

An Xin pulled harder, but it didn't change anything!

An Xin turned around and walked to the window, pushed it open, glanced outside, and her lips twitched.

Yan Zhen's nonchalant voice came: "I was worried that you would jump out of the window, so I specially found the highest inn in Yi'an County. If you jump out from here and die, that's fine. But if you don't die, but break an arm or a leg, Lord An will inevitably be implicated. Am I right?"

Without saying a word, An Xin jumped down!

Yan Zhen's expression changed drastically. He had underestimated An Xin's personality; this woman was completely unyielding to both soft and hard approaches! Almost instantly, Yan Zhen's figure floated away.

Yunlai Inn was originally the highest inn in Yi'an County, about ten zhang high. If an ordinary person jumped out, he would be half-dead even if he didn't die!

Just as Yan Zhen floated out, a figure suddenly flipped in – it was An Xin!

She crossed her arms and leaned against the window, watching Yan Zhen's figure gracefully descend. She shrugged and said loudly, "My lord, if you jump out from here and die, so be it. But if someone survives but breaks an arm or a leg, the entire Prime Minister's residence will inevitably be implicated. Am I right?!"
