Kapitel 22

Xia Cheng: "Impossible, I'm 27."

He stated frankly, "I've only actually lived for 24 years."

"Ha," Xia Cheng suddenly perked up, "Call me brother."

Ming said, "...Thank you, I've arrived."

Before I knew it, the car had smoothly arrived at its destination.

Xia Cheng was getting really into the conversation and was actually a little reluctant to let the person off the plane, saying, "Why so fast?"

The driver's heart skipped a beat; he hadn't guessed what his boss was thinking.

He regretted it a little; he should have driven at 30 mph and gone in a circle.

Mingyan had already gotten out of the car. He rested his hand on the car roof, ran two fingers of his other hand across his brow, and smiled slightly, saying, "See you later."

"Goodbye." Xia Cheng pursed his lips and rolled up the car window.

Mingyan noticed his dimples again.

The car drove away quickly, and Mingyan looked back.

Half of the funds for the class meeting were donated by classmate Keli, and everyone agreed to use the rest all at once, so the restaurant was pretty good this time.

Just as he thought of Kriri, Mingyan actually saw people there.

He still had his usual entourage when he went out, with about seven or eight people surrounding him, all of whom looked like they had just gotten out of the extended sports car behind him.

But at this moment, everyone's expression was strange.

Only Kerry's face was flushed crimson. He glared at Mingyan with his nostrils and said viciously, "Hmph!"

Then, looking furious, he strode into the restaurant with his toes pointed outwards.

Clearly stated: "?"

Several of his followers went inside with grumpy faces, while the remaining classmates greeted Mingyan somewhat awkwardly.

Mingyan asked in surprise, "How did I offend Kerry this time? Why does he have this expression as soon as he arrives?"

One classmate hesitated a bit before asking, "Did you see Kerry's car?"

Mingyan glanced at Kerry's car.

...Well, as an old fossil unearthed from the ground, Mingyan didn't recognize any sports cars. He could only judge by appearance and thought they were quite expensive.

A classmate stepped closer and whispered, "That's a limited edition business vehicle that came out here this year. It's incredibly expensive; I heard one costs several million..."

“Yeah,” someone chimed in, “he made a scene the moment he arrived; the hotel manager even reserved a parking spot for him. Who would have thought…”

My classmate said, "Who would have thought that once you arrived, we'd be nothing anymore."

Mingyan thought for a moment: "Was the car I was in quite expensive?"

"Holy crap, you really don't recognize cars?" The classmate clasped his hands in shock. "I'm impressed! Did you see the little wings on that car? Those are special energy vehicles from the Vermilion Bird Empire. They're never sold; they're always given as gifts when the two countries establish diplomatic relations. I've only ever seen them on the news... In short, one word: awesome!"

Another chimed in, "That manager was just standing at the parking lot entrance. As soon as he saw you get out of the car, his eyes widened. He was sweating profusely and called the boss through his earpiece, not knowing where to tell him to park."

Clearly stated: "..."

Young Master Xia is truly a fighter among the second-generation rich kids.

If we're talking about luxury cars, Mingyan can actually afford one now.

But he always felt it was unnecessary; these were all external possessions!

He clearly stated that he was a person who had transcended vulgar interests and was a noble person.

He doesn't make games for money, otherwise he wouldn't have donated 99% of them.

For example, if an author always writes about niche topics that don't make money, what's their motivation?

That's obviously for the effusive praise in the comments!

Every fart is the motivation for creators to keep updating every day, even while eating cornbread with tears in their eyes. It is the fire of life, the light of desire, and the thirst of the soul.

In short, the indifferent designer smiled nonchalantly and went into the hotel.

For our last class activity, we booked a fairly large private room. The students who arrived early had already started ordering food and even a few bottles of wine.

Both Kerry and Mingyan were late, but Kerry sat in the corner with a sour face and ignored everyone.

Mingyan said as soon as he entered, "The buses to my place just stopped running, so I was a little late. Sorry! I'll have a drink by myself first."

"It's okay, it's okay. A lot of people are late, we all know that."

The students talked and pulled out a seat for him.

As soon as Mingyan sat down, Keli started acting up: "Oh my, the champion from Mingda University is here. Looks like making money really makes a difference. We haven't heard from you for a month. Have you already forgotten about your classmates?"

He said frankly, "No, no, I was just doing a job."

Kerry laughed, stood up, and said, "Everyone has seen his work, right? It was recommended on the IPP platform! Over 100,000 comments, he must have made a lot of money."

The henchmen chimed in, "That's right, that's right, still pretending to be poor! Are you afraid we'll ask you for money or what?"

Kerry raised a hand, and the men immediately shut up.
