Liu Lanyan didn't give him any face at all, shaking her head and simply throwing out two words: "I'm not going."
Don't think you can just do whatever he says. Humph, she won't compromise.
If they dare to do this today, who knows what they'll do in the future!
Liu Lanyan thought indignantly, her lips still feeling the lingering heat of that burning sensation, and the mere thought of it made her cheeks burn.
What a despicable guy!
They actually attacked her!
Before I could finish thinking, my body swayed violently, and I was suddenly lifted up horizontally in mid-air.
"What are you doing?" Liu Lanyan stared nervously at the demon god, unsure of where to put her hands.
He nervously clutched his clothes, refusing to put the object on the demon god.
Anyway, it's only a short distance, so even if he can't hold her, she won't fall.
"I'll show you something," the demon god said with a smile.
Knowing that Liu Lanyan was stubborn, he naturally didn't force her to put her arms around his neck.
If she were to take such initiative, he would suspect that something had happened to her.
"Who cares to go see it?" Liu Lanyan mumbled as the demon god held her in his arms, but she didn't struggle and let him hold her like that.
The demon god was not annoyed and quickly left with Liu Lanyan in his arms.
As the scenery around her changed, Liu Lanyan understood where the Demon God was taking her.
The platform that made her very uncomfortable last time was a platform from which she could see everything in the demon realm, a platform from which she could stand on layers of white clouds.
She hasn't set foot here since the last time.
Actually, the scenery here is very beautiful, even giving one the illusion of being in a fairyland, but she doesn't like it.
There was a strange, slight feeling of rejection deep inside me.
"What's there to see?" Liu Lanyan subconsciously grabbed the front of the demon god's robe, trying to find a sense of security.
"It's beautiful," the demon god said with a smile. "Don't rush."
Liu Lanyan couldn't help but roll her eyes. Did she look anxious?
Soon, we arrived at the platform's entrance.
As the demon god stepped in, they were enveloped by abundant spiritual energy from heaven and earth.
Is it dark yet?
Liu Lanyan looked around in surprise. It was only noon, so why was it so dark?
"What's going on?" Liu Lanyan asked the Demon God, looking up at him.
The demon god gently put Liu Lanyan down, helped her stand up, and whispered in her ear, "Look, there's something."
"Huh?" Liu Lanyan turned her head and looked at the boundless darkness, as dark as night.
The fog was so thick that you couldn't see anything at all.
Just as Liu Lanyan was about to ask a question, a faint light flashed in front of her.
It wasn't moving very fast; it was still flashing intermittently.
Then a second flash of light appeared.
"This is..." Looking at the increasing number of shimmering, glowing lights around her, Liu Lanyan blinked, "Fireflies?"
All around were fireflies fluttering about, like stars in the sky hiding in the mist, twinkling.
A light mist, a soft glow, and a dreamlike atmosphere create a sense of ethereal lightness, almost as if one's body is floating.
"Do you like it?" The demon god asked softly from behind Liu Lanyan, watching her leave his embrace and walk slowly forward. He reached out his hand, and a faint mist passed through it. This scene was so familiar.
It was so familiar to him that he felt as if time had turned back.
It was a simple question, only three words, but only he himself knew how much he suppressed those three words were.
Only after suppressing so many emotions and feelings could one ask such a question so calmly.
Liu Lanyan did not answer immediately, but slowly raised her hand, watching the mist flowing between her fingers and the fireflies that lightly swirled around her hand.
She raised an eyebrow slightly, and instead of answering, asked, "Is it daytime now?"
Even if it gets dark here now, she won't mistake it for nighttime.
"Hmm." The Demon God nodded; the answer to this question was obvious.
"Fireflies can glow during the day?" Liu Lanyan raised an eyebrow, looking at the Demon God.
"I think so," the demon god said with a smile, his tone so matter-of-fact it was outrageous.
Liu Lanyan nodded in frustration. Okay, he thought.
He is a demon god; what he wants, others will naturally do.
She didn't need to argue with him about this, and there were more important things to do right now.
Why did this scene feel so familiar to her?
It seems as if she once strolled and danced amidst a swarm of fireflies.
There are vague fragments, indistinct and incomprehensible, yet they seem to have happened before.
A light mist obscured her vision, making her want to tear it open and see the blurry scene clearly.
Through the misty fog, she saw the eyes of the demon god, eyes filled with deep tenderness and a touch of sorrow.
Just one glance was enough to cause Liu Lanyan excruciating pain in her heart.
It was as if a sharp dagger had pierced her heart without mercy.
it hurts.
Why does this demon god, who is usually indifferent to everything, have such a faint sorrow?
A faint, inescapable sorrow pierced her heart, reflected in his clear, lake-like eyes.
A gust of wind suddenly rises.
The mist swirled and flowed, like a wisp of white gauze, rapidly moving and dissipating between the two people.
Tiny specks of light flew past my eyes, faint and flickering, yet they couldn't illuminate this world.
My heart aches in waves.
A cool liquid slid down my cheek and landed on my lips, spreading a slightly salty taste in my mouth.
Did she cry?
Why?
She raised her eyes, blinking, trying to wipe away the tears welling up.
She wanted to confidently see the appearance of the demon god.
"I..." Her mind was filled with something, as if it was about to explode. She opened her mouth, but after uttering only one word, a wave of darkness swept over her, quickly swallowing her consciousness.
Her body went limp, and she collapsed softly into the Demon God's outstretched embrace, eliciting a soft sigh from him: "Lanyan... were those memories... painful for you?"
Amidst the light mist, the demon god sighed softly: "You cried..."
He slept for a whole day and night.
When Liu Lanyan regained consciousness, she heard the clear chirping of birds.
A hazy consciousness returned to my body, and I vaguely wondered where I was.
A flash of light streaked through my mind like lightning—a firefly!
Liu Lanyan suddenly sat up, as if she had only seen half of the firefly, and then... then she lost consciousness again.
"Awake?" A familiar voice rang in her ears, and Liu Lanyan turned her head to see the Demon God's warm smile.
A gentle warmth, like the warmth of spring.
Liu Lanyan searched carefully in those bright eyes, but after looking for a long time, she couldn't find the sorrow she had seen before losing consciousness.
She reached out, and by the time she realized what was happening, her fingertips had already touched the demon god's eyelids.
The demon god was slightly surprised, but did not dodge. He simply smiled and gazed at Liu Lanyan, letting her fingertips caress his eyelids.
He didn't care at all that if Liu Lanyan exerted even a little force, she might injure his eyes.
"I was dreaming." Liu Lanyan gently stroked it for a while before putting her hand down.
Was she seeing things or hallucinating?
"How are things now?" the demon god asked with a smile, not even bothering to figure out Liu Lanyan's intentions.
He knows best what happened.
"I slept very well." Liu Lanyan smiled. Indeed, she slept very well, feeling completely refreshed and without any fatigue.
Looking up at the sky, he asked hesitantly, "How long have I been asleep?"
“One day and one night.” The demon god didn’t hide anything. After saying that, he took some porridge from the small table next to him and held it in front of Liu Lanyan. “Eat.”
Liu Lanyan took it; she wasn't sick and wasn't so weak that she needed to be fed.
After taking a sip, Liu Lanyan paused slightly, a pause so subtle that no one would notice.
"I want to sleep a little longer, you should go back," Liu Lanyan waved her hand and said casually while drinking her porridge.
"Alright, eat slowly." The Demon God nodded, having absolutely no objection to Liu Lanyan's words.
He didn't move, watching Liu Lanyan finish the porridge, then poured her a glass of water to rinse her mouth before getting up to leave.
"Hey." Liu Lanyan suddenly called out to the Demon God.
The demon god paused in his act of getting up, and looked at Liu Lanyan strangely.
Liu Lanyan beckoned the Demon God closer with her finger; she had something to say.
The demon god had doubts, but he still obediently lowered his head and leaned closer.
Liu Lanyan looked at the demon god's profile as he approached. His skin was very fair, a clean white, and his jawline was long and slender, tracing a beautiful arc in front of her eyes. His fair skin slid down the perfect arc until it disappeared into his clothes.
