Kapitel 5

Night fell quickly.

I thought my career at Hunyuan Boxing Gym was over, but then an unexpected incident happened.

"Open the door! Open the door now!"

"Dazhu?"

Li Boyang had just returned to his room when there was a sudden, urgent knocking at the door. When he opened it, he found Wang Dazhu, who had just left.

"Hurry up and pack your things and leave. Manager Yan heard that you were unwilling to sign a contract with the boxing gym, and even stopped working for the cook. He thinks you are a traitor and is coming to cause you trouble."

Yan San is a senior martial arts master in the boxing gym, a strong person in the acquired realm, and belongs to the manager level, two levels higher than Wang Dazhu.

"Manager Yan said that you are not a disciple of the martial arts school, but you have learned the school's kung fu. If you want to leave now, you will not be allowed to leave unless you lose your kung fu."

"What?"

It was no secret that I had been training with Wang Dazhu for the past year; in fact, the boxing gym even encouraged it. I never expected it would end like this.

Li Boyang felt that he was earning his wages through labor, but the boxing gym didn't think that way. That's how the feudal system works. You learn someone's skills and receive their wages. Now that you've mastered the skills, you actually want to leave. That's disrespecting the boxing gym.

The key issue is that Li Boyang didn't pay to learn the skills. He was an internal employee before, so the gym turned a blind eye. Now that this employee is leaving, the gym is settling old scores immediately.

"What are you standing there for? Hurry up and pack your things, I'll go and hold them off."

Thanks.

"I'll take this favor from you." Seeing Wang Dazhu turn and run out, Li Boyang didn't waste any more words. Besides the "mountain" token left by the old man, he only had two sets of clothes to change into. He quickly packed them up, since his place wasn't far from the gate, and ran out under the cover of night.

Not long after they left, a group of people barged into Li Boyang's house.

"That kid got away."

"The blanket is still warm; they must have just left."

"Chase him! Have people search the city. If you find this kid, take one of his hands."

Yan San said fiercely. As soon as he finished speaking, the people from Hunyuan Boxing Gym rushed out of the gym with lanterns and searched everywhere along the main road of the city.

However, Li Boyang was oblivious to all of this. He was also unaware that although the people at the boxing gym hadn't contacted him directly, they had used their connections to blacklist him in Anyang. Given the gym's extensive network of relationships, this essentially meant that he was no longer a viable option in Anyang.

After leaving the boxing gym, Li Boyang naturally ignored all of this and went straight to the two houses he had bought, preparing to enter the dream world in his mind.

After the night had fallen and all was quiet, Li Boyang began to visualize countless worlds in his mind. Suddenly, a starry sky appeared in his mind, and countless stars lit up.

These starlights vary in intensity; the strong ones illuminate all directions like a blazing sun, while the weak ones emit only faint glows. These starlights are actually star gates, and the calls from the soul also originate from these starlights.

Having chosen a stargate with extremely dim starlight, Li Boyang responded to the call from within the stargate, and in an instant, he vanished without a trace.

Chapter 4 The World of Wong Fei-hung

"This wish is quite difficult to fulfill."

After Li Boyang finished processing the information he received, he suddenly felt utterly bewildered.

The man who summoned him was also named Zhao Tiezhu. He had died in a brawl and was a militia member of the Foshan militia. The leader of the Foshan militia was named Huang Feihong, and he was Huang Feihong who knew the Shadowless Kick.

Before his death, Zhao Tiezhu had two wishes: to become Huang Feihong's disciple and to overthrow the Qing Dynasty's rule.

Based on the information Zhao Tiezhu received, this should be the world of the Wong Fei-hung movies. The fact that the militia hasn't disbanded suggests this is the first film in the Wong Fei-hung series. Therefore, the current timeframe should be around 1877, at which point Wong Fei-hung would be around 30 years old.

The first Wong Fei-hung film primarily tells the story of Liu Yongfu, commander of the Black Flag Army, who is sent to Annam to fight against the French. The Black Flag Navy is incorporated into a militia under Wong Fei-hung's command. The admiral, seeking personal revenge, closes the Po Chi Lam clinic and disbands the militia. Under unequal treaties, foreigners tout America as a goldmine, deceiving large numbers of laborers and trafficking women. Thirteen Aunt is also abducted onto a foreign ship and nearly raped by thugs, but is rescued by Leung Foon. Wong Fei-hung fights fiercely against the foreigners and their henchmen, ultimately exposing their conspiracy and rescuing Thirteen Aunt, along with the deceived laborers and women. The misunderstanding between Leung Foon and Wong Fei-hung is resolved, and Leung Foon becomes Wong Fei-hung's apprentice.

Zhao Tiezhu was a militiaman before his death. Obviously, the Huang Feihong storyline has not officially begun yet, because the militia is still around. It's just unknown how long it will take before it starts.

Zhao Tiezhu's first wish was very similar to Li Boyang's goal. Li Boyang originally entered the dream world to find the method of breaking bones. If he became Huang Feihong's personal disciple, would he still have to worry about not finding the method of breaking bones? Huang Feihong was a relatively famous martial arts master in modern Chinese history.

The second one is more problematic. He has no foundation in this dream world. Although he comes from the 21st century, the problem is that apart from his knowledge, he is no better than the people of this era.

If we're talking about technologies that are helpful now, I really thank my teacher; I've already forgotten everything he taught me. So, trying to overthrow the Qing Dynasty is like trying to escape hell.

Now it should be the Qing Dynasty under the rule of Empress Dowager Cixi. Although this old woman is not very bright in foreign affairs, she is very good at domestic politics. According to the actual history, the Qing Dynasty was overthrown by the revolutionaries after she died.

His only wish was to overthrow the Qing Dynasty. Theoretically, as long as the revolutionaries rose to power, the Qing Dynasty would naturally fall. But that would mean he would be trapped in this dream world for more than 30 years, which was completely unacceptable.

However, it's no use thinking about these things now. These two wishes must be fulfilled. The moment Li Boyang arrived in this world, he sensed that he had to help the person who summoned him fulfill their wishes, otherwise he would not be able to return. And if he couldn't return, let alone go back to Jiuhua Kingdom and achieve the conquest of the plane, he would be trapped in the dream until he died.

In other words, if Li Boyang could not become Huang Feihong's personal disciple and overthrow the Qing Dynasty, the grand plan to return to Earth would be out of the question. For Li Boyang, Earth was his obsession, and he was determined to go back.

"Looks like we need to think of a solution."

My wish must be fulfilled, as it relates to whether I can return. I also need to achieve my goal of coming here. Obviously, I am quite lucky. Modern China is in the last glorious stage of martial arts. Not to mention Huang Feihong, there are many martial arts schools in Foshan for me to choose from.

Ideally, one should join Po Chi Lam. Firstly, it would fulfill one's goal of learning martial arts and becoming a disciple. Secondly, Huang Feihong's reputation is very well-known in Guangzhou. It would be better to rely on his strength to overthrow the Qing Dynasty than to fight alone.

Li Boyang turned his head and looked around. In the distance was the city wall. If nothing unexpected happened, that was Foshan City, a place he had to go to.

"Barbecued pork buns!"

Candied hawthorn berries.

Upon entering Foshan, seeing the crowds with braids on the street and hearing the familiar yet unfamiliar cries of vendors, Li Boyang couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.

Modern China has endured many hardships. Foshan was under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou, which was one of the Qing Dynasty's trading ports. Due to the open trade policy and the Qing Dynasty's neglect and dereliction of duty towards Guangzhou, Guangzhou has now become one of the world's trading capitals.

The well-known Thirteen Factories were a product of this policy, and due to persecution by the Qing government, many modern martial arts masters also stayed in Foshan.
