Kapitel 16

Huang Feihong felt a surge of frustration. Why did he always think of the government when his compatriots were in trouble, believing that the government would stand on his side and stand up for them? And why was he always disappointed? Perhaps the roots of the Qing Dynasty were indeed rotten, just as Boyang had said.

"It is because of inactive officials like you that foreigners have become increasingly arrogant on our territory."

Huang Feihong slammed his fist on the table and said angrily, "Foreigners have set up concessions and restricted areas in our territory. If we Chinese are still suspicious of each other and tolerate foreigners at every turn, this dynasty will perish sooner or later."

Seeing that Huang Feihong didn't take him seriously at all, the admiral threatened him fiercely:

"Huang Feihong, I know you have a close relationship with Liu Yongfu of the Black Flag Army. Unfortunately, he's too far away to exert his influence, so he's always going against the imperial court. Now the court has sent me south to keep an eye on you and make an example of you." After saying that, he slammed his hand on the table and stared at Huang Feihong without showing any weakness.

Huang Feihong felt a pang of sorrow. He had originally hoped that the government would stand up for him, but instead, he ended up arguing with the government and making a fool of himself in front of the foreigners.

Just then, the sounds of fierce fighting came from outside the consulate.

"Hey kid, don't run away."

However, it was the leader of the Shahe Gang, wielding a large Guan Dao (a type of halberd), who swung it with great skill and followed Liang Kuan into the consulate.

Liang Kuan was not in good condition at the moment. His arm was still bandaged and he had several more knife wounds on his body. He was being chased by the leader of the Shahe Gang and was jumping up and down, shouting, "Help! Murder!"

Following closely behind the two, about a hundred people rushed into the consulate. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that members of the Shahe Gang were chasing a dozen or so people. These dozen or so people were none other than the members of the militia, led by Pork Rong.

"Be careful, kid."

"Clang."

Seeing that Liang Kuan was about to die, Pork Wing handed over his steel fork, which landed precisely on the Guan Dao that was about to fall in front of Liang Kuan.

Seeing this, the leader of the Shahe Gang stopped chasing Liang Kuan and turned to slash at Pork Rong with his sword. Pork Rong was not afraid and twirled his steel fork to meet him.

The leader of the Shahe Gang unleashed one slash after another, his movements fluid and dynamic, his body twisting and turning, displaying a variety of sword techniques including chopping, thrusting, slashing, cutting, wiping, carrying, spreading, pulling, and intercepting. The swordplay was continuous and unrestrained, like a swimming dragon or a flying phoenix, ever-changing.

"His Bagua sword technique is quite good."

Pork Rong recognized that the leader of the Shahe Gang was using a Bagua knife. He dodged left and right with his round body, avoiding the blade flashes, but he was at a disadvantage.

The leader of the Shahe Gang was clearly a master, no less skilled than Pork Rong. In the blink of an eye, he unleashed dozens of slashes without batting an eye.

"You stray dog from Tianhe, you can't make it in Tianhe and you don't even know how to behave, so you dare to come to Foshan and steal our territory. I'll teach you a lesson."

Pork King's mouth was full of foul language.

The leader of the Shahe Gang swung his Guan Dao with a sharp, powerful force, slicing through the dining table that stood in his way, as thin as paper.

"That was close."

The leader of the Shahe Gang's knife was so sharp that it was said to kill anyone who grazed it or touched it. Even a highly skilled martial artist with perfected skin would be torn to pieces if he was stabbed once.

The banging sounds continued. Two groups were fighting in the consulate's restaurant, and soon they had smashed all the equipment in the restaurant.

“Master, they are Pork Rong and the militia’s brothers.”

Buck-toothed Su looked down at the people fighting and realized they were all familiar faces.

"I'll go stop them."

Huang Feihong was even more furious. He seemed to leap out of the grass like a monkey, covering eight meters in a flash. In the blink of an eye, he snatched a small fry from the Shahe Gang. He lashed out with his hand whip, sending the small fry flying three meters away, clutching his chest and unable to stand up.

"Stop it, everyone! Stop fighting!" He said this, but his hands didn't stop. With each step, he dragged and pulled, knocking down everyone he touched. However, they only suffered minor injuries, which showed that Huang Feihong's control over his strength was superb.

The restaurant was in complete chaos.

Seeing these people acting so arrogantly on his territory, British Navy Admiral Wissgren pointed at the admiral's face and shouted, "Admiral, I need an explanation for such impolite harassment. You'd better behave yourself."

Without giving the admiral a chance to explain, he turned and left the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant, dozens of people had already been knocked to the ground by Wong Fei-hung and were groaning in pain.

"Brother, that's Wong Fei-hung."

"We outnumber him, let's go up and chop him down."

The leader of the Shahe Gang, wielding a large Guan Dao (a type of halberd), charged forward and launched a sneak attack on Huang Feihong's back.

Without Huang Feihong turning around, it was as if he had eyes in the back of his head. Before the knife could fall, he tilted his body and dodged the sneak attack. With a kick, he lifted three legs, leaving only a blur in sight.

Bang bang bang!

The leader of the Shahe Gang was sent flying backward, rubbing his chest and letting out a muffled groan.

It was clear that Wong Fei-hung had shown mercy; otherwise, those three kicks could have killed the leader of the Shahe Gang.

"This is utterly lawless." The admiral's face darkened at the sight of the scene in the restaurant. He called over one of his men and whispered a few words in his ear.

A short while later, dozens of soldiers rushed in.

"The soldiers are coming, we're retreating."

Upon seeing the government troops, the leader of the Shahe Gang felt uneasy. He gave a look and quickly waved his hand, signaling the Shahe Gang members to retreat.

The Shahe Gang members fled the consulate in a chaotic retreat, like defeated soldiers, while the officers and soldiers ignored them.

“Peng”.

A gunshot rang out.

Only after the Shahe Gang members had all fled did the admiral pull out a foreign pistol and fire a shot into the air.

"No one is allowed to move. Anyone who disobeys will be killed."
