Chapter Fifteen: The Kuang Family Heirloom
Author: Xiao Tianyi
"I just received a message from Smiling Tiger from Interpol. He was in Amsterdam just a few hours ago. We need to get to the Netherlands immediately." From various clues, Kuang Tianyou deduced that Smiling Tiger committed the crime in Hong Kong. First, the drugs were his; second, the day before the incident, he rented a boat and went to international waters. This matched the escape route of the walking corpse that Kuang Tianyou had detected using his spiritual sense. Therefore, Kuang Huashi quickly used her influence to find Smiling Tiger's whereabouts. The three of them boarded a plane and headed to the Netherlands.
After arriving in the Netherlands and settling into a hotel, the three of them rested. It was Kuang Huashi's first time in the Netherlands, so she suggested they look around. Uncle Qiu declined, citing his age and fatigue. So, Kuang Tianyou and Kuang Huashi went to explore.
Amsterdam exudes an old-world charm. All the three- and four-story buildings are meticulously decorated in blue, green, and red, making them look like something out of a fairytale. The doors of these toy-like buildings are so narrow that only one person can pass through at a time. In ancient times, a strange law existed here: the larger the door, the higher the tax. Forced by circumstances, people made their doors as small as possible, but their windows were made very large, with furniture and other items hoisted in and out through the windows. Every building has several protruding iron hooks on its roof to secure the ropes used for hoisting goods. A dense network of canals divides these charming streets into sections, with flocks of seagulls flying between the canals and buildings, harassing the ducks foraging in the water, reminiscent of Venice in the north. The Netherlands has long been a popular tourist destination. As is well known, the tulip is the national flower of the Netherlands, and along with ancient windmills and wooden shoes, it has become a symbol of the country. The air in Amsterdam's streets is filled with the fragrance of tulips, refreshing the mind and spirit. But this is only the Netherlands under the sun. From another perspective, the Netherlands is a haven for drug addicts and fugitives. Dutch law allows the use of drugs such as marijuana, and due to lax government control over tourists, an increasing number of drug users and fugitives are flocking to the Netherlands. Therefore, the country is relatively chaotic, a melting pot of all sorts of people, and bloodshed and violence are a constant occurrence.
Kuang Tianyou and Kuang Huashi walked side by side down the street, attracting many envious glances. Several beautiful young women openly stared at him with burning eyes. Of course, many men also turned their gazes to Kuang Huashi. In the eyes of others, this Eastern couple was a dazzlingly perfect match. He was handsome, she was beautiful, and their remarkably harmonious demeanor exuded an elegant Eastern charm. This gave onlookers a strange feeling, as if the two were an inseparable whole. Many who wanted to hit on the other side saw the strange indifference they displayed and quickly gave up the idea. The two strolled around for a long time, only returning to their hotel after dark. Kuang Tianyou had truly experienced the power of women shopping. He secretly vowed never to shop with a woman again.
Back at the hotel, they found Uncle Qiu engrossed in a book in his room. Hearing their footsteps, Uncle Qiu stretched. "You're back! I thought I'd be eating dinner alone." Kuang Tianyou laughed. "Of course not, Uncle Qiu, are you hungry? Let's go eat." After dinner, Uncle Qiu said his back was a little sore and asked Kuang Tianyou to give him a massage. Kuang Tianyou laughed and said, "Your back pain is just an excuse; you really want me to massage you, don't you?" Uncle Qiu, realizing his trick had been seen through, smiled awkwardly. "It's because your massage skills are so good; I've become addicted. Besides, these old bones of mine haven't had a good massage in ages. I came here specifically for you, so of course I have to enjoy your massage. Miss Kuang, you should learn from me; Tianyou's massage skills are the best in the world!" Kuang Huashi said with a smile, "I know, I'll definitely learn from you."
Then, Kuang Tianyou began the massage. With each movement, Kuang Huashi's smile gradually turned to surprise. "Tianyou, who taught you this massage technique?" Kuang Tianyou was massaging Uncle Qiu and didn't see her expression. He casually replied, "I figured it out myself. What's wrong? Do you think I'm amazing and want to become my apprentice?" Kuang Huashi ignored his teasing. "You vain fool! I've known this massage technique since I was seven." Seeing Kuang Tianyou's disbelief, Kuang Huashi said, "Move aside, let me show you." She walked to Uncle Qiu's side and began massaging him. Strangely, her movements were exactly the same as Kuang Tianyou's, and she was very skilled, clearly not someone who had just learned it. Kuang Tianyou's heart skipped a beat. "Hua Shi, how did you manage to learn my massage technique?" Kuang Hua Shi retorted playfully, "No, it's a family heirloom taught to me by my grandmother, and she said she learned it from my grandfather. It's my grandfather's unique skill. By the way, how did you learn this massage technique?" These words sent shockwaves through Kuang Tianyou's mind. He had been avoiding the past all along, even when he saw that Kuang Hua Shi looked very much like Ah Xiu, he preferred to believe it was a coincidence. Today, he finally knew that the girl before him was his granddaughter, and for a moment, he was speechless.
"Hey, you're spacing out. I'm asking you a question." Seeing that Kuang Tianyou didn't reply, Kuang Huashi became slightly annoyed, revealing a childlike demeanor. Anyone who knew her well wouldn't believe it. The usually icy Kuang Huashi suddenly displayed such a charming expression. "What's your grandmother's name?" Kuang Tianyou countered. Although puzzled by Kuang Tianyou's question, Kuang Huashi answered, "My grandmother's name is A-Xiu." "A-Xiu," Kuang Tianyou murmured, his head bowed. Memories flooded back to sixty years ago.
"Ah Xiu, are you feeling better now?"
Ah Xiu nodded. "Will you teach me? I can help you relax in the future."
Kuang Tianyou (Kuang Guohua at the time) laughed: "Then you're going to have a lot of work to do in the future."
Ah Xiu smiled happily, "I will study hard and teach it to our children in the future, so that it can become a family heirloom of the Kuang family, okay?"
"Great, other people's family heirlooms are treasures, but ours is just massage."
Happy memories are always so sweet, and Kuang Tianyou was immersed in happiness. His gentle, joyful expression was something Qiu Shu and Kuang Huashi had never seen before. Seeing his smile, the two were unconsciously infected, and smiles appeared on their faces as well.

Chapter Sixteen: Reunion with an Old Friend
Author: Xiao Tianyi
Kuang Tianyou snapped out of his reverie and, noticing the two's unusual behavior, coughed lightly, startling them from their reverie. Kuang Huashi stared at Kuang Tianyou, her starry eyes unfocused, seemingly still unable to believe that Kuang Tianyou's hazy smile had been so infectious, that even she, a specially trained person, couldn't resist it.
As the saying goes, experience counts, and Uncle Qiu broke the deadlock first. "Tianyou, let's discuss our next move," Kuang Tianyou said, sitting on the sofa. "We're unfamiliar with the Netherlands, so we'll have to rely on the Dutch police. How about this, Hua Shi, go to the police station tomorrow and ask around to see if they have any information about Smiling Tiger. I still have a few old friends here; they might know something we need." Having discussed their plan, the group went back to their rooms to rest.
Kuang Tianyou was completely disheartened by the day's events. He tossed and turned in his room, unable to sleep, so he got up and went for a walk to clear his head. Walking along the street, he felt inexplicably restless. Seeing a small bar on the side of the street, he went inside. It wasn't a large bar, but it didn't feel crowded at all. The interior style was unique, unlike ordinary bars with their dark overall color scheme, but the counter was bright white. The contrast was striking. There weren't many customers inside, just a few gathered in small groups drinking. Behind the counter was an Asian girl with shoulder-length, glossy black hair like flowing tassels, a fair, ivory-white neck, pearly teeth and red lips, a small, high-bridged nose, and eyes that sparkled with life. Opposite her was a tall, blonde woman holding a glass of bright red wine. For some reason, Kuang Tianyou felt he had seen this blonde woman somewhere before. He walked over and said, "A whiskey, please." The Asian girl smiled sweetly and handed him the drink. Kuang Tianyou glanced at the blonde woman while drinking, and nearly choked. He never expected to run into Sophie here. The Sophie before him was very different from before. Her former arrogance was gone, replaced by a faint sadness. "Miss Sophie, do you still recognize me?" Kuang Tianyou asked in a friendly manner. Although Sophie and her group had killed someone in Hong Kong, Kuang Tianyou knew it wasn't her fault, and besides, they were both zombies, so he didn't reject her. But Sophie ignored him, not even replying. Having been rebuffed, Kuang Tianyou gave up and turned back to drinking his wine. The Asian girl, on the other hand, watched Kuang Tianyou with great interest.
Kuang Tianyou ignored her, keeping his head down as he drank his wine. Just then, Sophie's phone rang. Kuang Tianyou didn't pay it any mind. But the last voice he heard forced him to listen. "I've contacted Smiling Tiger. Come back as soon as possible; we need to make the deal tonight." Sophie hung up and left the bar, and Kuang Tianyou hurriedly followed her out.
