Kapitel 17

Abandoning her wild thoughts, Kuang Huashi opened her eyes. But the scene before her made her heart leap into her throat. She saw Simon flying towards her, his face contorted with rage, a veritable demon. "Tianyou, watch out!" Years of experience as a detective made her instincts kick in, and she quickly turned to shield Kuang Tianyou with her body. Simon punched Kuang Huashi in the back. Kuang Huashi's body went limp, and she coughed up a mouthful of blood. She collapsed back into Kuang Tianyou's arms.

"Hua Shi, pull yourself together, you can't die! Why are you so foolish?" Kuang Hua Shi forced her eyes open and smiled faintly. "Tian You, it's alright, I won't die." She said this, but in her heart she knew her days were numbered. Grandma was right, a woman who falls in love with a man is willing to give everything for him. Kuang Tian You looked at the beauty in his arms, his heart bleeding. "Hua Shi, don't speak, I'll take you to the hospital right now." "No need, I know my injuries myself. Can you kiss me?" Looking at Kuang Hua Shi's hopeful eyes, Kuang Tian You couldn't help but merge his granddaughter and Ah Xiu into one, and kissed Kuang Hua Shi's lips passionately. Kuang Hua Shi smiled and closed her eyes.

"No..." Kuang Tianyou let out a painful howl, the grief in his heart indescribable. It felt as if his heart was being slowly torn apart by a dull knife. Holding Kuang Huashi, Kuang Tianyou felt a splitting headache, only one thought in his mind: Kill Simon, avenge Huashi. Suddenly, a small but powerful stream of blood leaped from between his brows, quickly spreading throughout his body. Lost in his grief, Kuang Tianyou didn't notice the strange change happening to his exterior. His hair had grown considerably longer and turned silver-white. His dark pupils were now completely blood-red. In that instant of transformation, an aura of a powerful ruler emanated from him, soaring into the sky and spreading through the atmosphere. Centered on him, a dense killing intent enveloped the entire room. Sensing this powerful aura, zombies all over the world awoke from their slumber, kneeling on the ground in unison, bowing in worship towards the Netherlands. Only a very few first-generation zombies, exerting their full power, struggled to resist, preventing themselves from kneeling.

I had kidney stones for the past few days and couldn't sit up, so my updates were a bit slower. I'm better now, and I'm sure everyone will be seeing new posts soon.

Chapter Twenty: Sophie the Slave

Author: Xiao Tianyi

In France, inside an ancient castle, zombies at a banquet felt an immense pressure weighing on their hearts. They simultaneously knelt, bowing towards the source of the pressure. Dark clouds filled the sky, lightning flashed, and thunder roared. Deep within the castle, a blond, blue-eyed zombie exerted all its energy, barely resisting the external pressure. In Japan, in the high-level offices of the Nitto Group, several Japanese men knelt in agony, zombie fangs sprouting from their mouths. In Egypt, inside a pyramid, a stunningly beautiful woman felt a powerful force, awakening from a thousand-year slumber. "Master, you have finally reappeared! I must return to your side!" She paused, passed through the thick pyramid, and stood outside. Bathed in golden light, her black satin-like skin shimmered, and she smiled, revealing pearly white teeth. If a talent scout witnessed this scene, their heart would surely pound with excitement at discovering a future global superstar. All of this occurred after Kuang Tianyou exuded an aura of royalty. And it wasn't just these events. Supernatural locations around the world were also affected to varying degrees.

At the Vatican, the statue of the Virgin Mary collapsed with a crash, shedding two lines of clear tears.

In Kono, Japan, the Demon-Subduing Staff, a symbol of supreme authority, inexplicably emitted strange noises. Auspicious light shone brightly, enveloping the entire Kono. To the untrained eye, it was merely a beautiful sight; but the powerful monks of Kono were terrified, for this was only the second time since Kono's founding that a protective barrier had been erected. This barrier was only used when Kono was in its most perilous situation.

In the Asakusa family of Japan, their ancestral divine blade automatically leaps out, emitting a clear, long chime.

In Hong Kong, Ma Xiaoling's benevolent dragon pearl suddenly emitted a brilliant light and floated in the air...

After a while, Kuang Tianyou withdrew his aura, his blood-red eyes coldly staring at Simon kneeling on the ground. Sensing the pressure disappear, Simon returned to normal, looking at Kuang Tianyou in terror. He jumped out of the window as fast as he could. Just as he was about to pass the window, he felt a tightening around his ankle and was pulled back. Looking closely, he saw that the person who had grabbed him was Sophie. "Sophie, you…" Simon was momentarily confused. He then saw Sophie lower her body, kneeling at Kuang Tianyou's feet, and reverently kiss the instep of his foot. "Master, please accept Sophie as your humble servant."

Kuang Tianyou remained silent, but Simon was furious. "Sophie, you betrayed your master! You'll get your comeuppance!" Kuang Tianyou suddenly appeared before Simon, moving so fast Simon couldn't even see him. He grabbed Simon by the neck. "You must die! Give me back the power you gave me!" With a breath, a drop of zombie blood spurted from Simon's forehead, and he disintegrated. The Smiling Tiger, already pale with fright, tried to run, but found Sophie standing before him. Sophie kicked him, sending him flying in front of Kuang Tianyou. Kuang Tianyou looked at him and casually said, "Someone like you doesn't deserve to be a zombie." He then tapped the Smiling Tiger's forehead with his finger, and a drop of zombie blood flowed from between his eyebrows. The Smiling Tiger's head lolled to the side, and he died.

"Are you really willing to be my servant?" Kuang Tianyou asked, looking at Sophie. Sophie knelt down. "You are the most powerful person I have ever seen. I want to be your servant so that I can take my revenge." "Revenge?" Kuang Tianyou asked doubtfully. "Yes, revenge." Sophie raised her head, her firm gaze meeting Kuang Tianyou's. "I want to kill the person who turned me into a zombie and made me suffer for hundreds of years, Simon's master, the head of this drug trafficking ring. But I don't have the ability to kill him, so I want to be your servant. I want to watch you kill him with your own hands." Kuang Tianyou thought for a moment. "Alright, I accept you." Uncle Qiu was anxious from the side. "Tianyou!" Kuang Tianyou raised his hand. "Uncle Qiu, I've made up my mind. I also need her help." After saying that, he went straight to Kuang Huashi on the ground. "Huashi, you can't die. Look, I've already killed the person who injured you. I promise you, no one can hurt you anymore. Kill anyone who gets in my way, kill even Buddha if he gets in my way. Just bear with it, you'll be fine soon." After saying that, he was about to bite Kuang Huashi. Kuang Tianyou, now fused with demonic blood, retains only a small portion of his independent consciousness, which explains his extraordinary and domineering aura. Uncle Qiu, watching from the side, said, "Tianyou, do you want her to endure eternal loneliness and solitude like you? You're not saving her, you're harming her, do you know that?" These words were like a wake-up call, instantly restoring Kuang Tianyou's sanity. "Uncle Qiu, please, save Hua Shi." Uncle Qiu approached and said, "Two of her souls and six spirits have already left her body, leaving only one soul and three spirits. To save her, we must first recall her soul. I'll cast a spell to see if I can find her soul." Uncle Qiu performed a ritual, and after about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, he opened his eyes and said weakly, "Tianyou, Hua Shi's soul has been led to the underworld. There's only one way now: you go to the underworld and bring her back." Kuang Tianyou nodded. "Sophie, you protect me outside. Don't let anyone disturb us." Sophie nodded, "Yes, Master," and watched from outside. "Uncle Qiu, let's begin." "Tianyou, take this thread. Make sure it doesn't break. Find Huashi and come back as soon as possible. My magic power is insufficient; I can only sustain myself for two hours." "Don't worry, Uncle Qiu, I will do my best." "Tianyou, remember, you must find Huashi before she crosses the Bridge of Helplessness. Once she crosses the Bridge of Helplessness, it's difficult to return to the mortal realm." "Uncle Qiu, I understand." Kuang Tianyou leaped into the entrance to the underworld opened by Uncle Qiu and jumped down.

Chapter Twenty-One: Storms in the Underworld (1)

Author: Xiao Tianyi

The underworld was shrouded in a chilling wind and heavy black mist. For ordinary ghosts, being swept by such winds would be excruciating, like being cut by knives. But for Kuang Tianyou, it was far from unpleasant; in fact, he found it quite comfortable. Zombies, by nature, are more yin than yang. Therefore, in the underworld, Kuang Tianyou found it even more comfortable than the mortal realm. It was his first time in the underworld, and Kuang Tianyou was genuinely a little disoriented. The underworld he had always seen in books and TV dramas was always eerie and terrifying, but now, here, it didn't seem as frightening as depicted in the movies. The underworld, like the outside world, had physical paths, and stepping on them was no different from walking on them. It wasn't shrouded in mist like in the films. However, the sides of the paths were pitch black, and there were several branching paths.

Kuang Tianyou stood there, eyes closed, his mind extending infinitely, his spiritual senses searching. Since becoming a zombie, Kuang Tianyou had inexplicably gained many abilities. For example, his hearing, sense of smell, and speed far exceeded human capabilities. This spiritual search was one of them. When Kuang Tianyou concentrated his mind on a particular thing, he could, like the nascent soul described in Taoism, have his soul leave his body, mysteriously sensing every movement within several kilometers. Even the smallest things, like a blade of grass sprouting or ants moving, could not escape his notice. This time, to find Kuang Huashi, he spared no effort, using this ability.

His mind expanded, giving Kuang Tianyou a general understanding of the underworld. Aside from the various paths, the surrounding darkness served as an excellent barrier; within the darkness lay absolute emptiness, and anyone who entered would surely drown, like in a swamp. Suddenly, he sensed two extremely yin and cold energies rapidly approaching him. Adjusting his mind, he focused his spiritual senses to observe carefully. It turned out to be two men in suits flying towards him. Kuang Tianyou withdrew his spiritual senses and quietly awaited their arrival.

After a while, the two men appeared before Kuang Tianyou. Seeing him standing calmly in the middle of the road, they were taken aback. "Who are you, daring to trespass into the Underworld?" Not wanting to cause trouble, Kuang Tianyou politely replied, "Brothers, my name is Kuang Tianyou, and I've come to find my granddaughter's soul." "What's your granddaughter's name?" "Kuang Huashi." The two men exchanged glances and nodded. "Bold fiend, daring to trespass into the Underworld! Surrender now!" Kuang Tianyou immediately recognized their expressions and guessed they knew Kuang Huashi's whereabouts. Without further ado, he stepped forward, intending to grab one of them and extract information about Kuang Huashi's location. Seeing Kuang Tianyou dare to attack first, the two men were enraged. "How dare you! You dare to fight with us, Black and White Impermanence? You're tired of living! I'll..." Before they could finish speaking, Black and White Impermanence were already knocked to the ground.

Unable to conceal their shock, the Black and White Impermanence's expressions changed drastically. They scrambled to their feet, chanting incantations, and each produced a chain in their hands. With their weapons in hand, the Two Impermanence immediately gained confidence. "You brat, let me show you the power of my Soul-Binding Chains (Life-Taking Locks)!" These Soul-Binding Chains (Life-Taking Locks) were one of the magical treasures of the underworld. Once a mortal's soul was caught in them, it would inevitably leave the body; they were truly formidable. Even cultivators with low levels of cultivation could not resist them. Only those who had cultivated to the point where they could freely use their spiritual projection could be immune to them. With a wave of their hands, the Black and White Impermanence had already bound the Soul-Binding Chains (Life-Taking Locks) to Kuang Tianyou. The Two Impermanence were overjoyed and chanted incantations to seize Kuang Tianyou's soul. A strange thing happened: no matter how they activated their magical treasures, Kuang Tianyou remained standing there perfectly fine, as if nothing had happened. The Two Impermanence stood there dumbfounded.

Kuang Tianyou was a zombie, devoid of any soul, so the Soul-Binding Chain (Life-Taking Lock) was naturally useless against him. However, being bound was still unpleasant. Kuang Tianyou transformed into his zombie form and struggled fiercely. The Soul-Binding Chain (Life-Taking Lock), as expected of a treasure of the underworld, remained completely unmoved. The Black and White Impermanence laughed smugly, their voices particularly grating to Kuang Tianyou's ears. "Don't even think about breaking free. If our treasures could be so easily broken, how could we possibly have the face to live in the underworld?" Seeing Kuang Tianyou still struggling, the two Impermanences began to beat and kick him. Kuang Tianyou, now fallen from grace, felt a burning hatred but was powerless to do anything about it.

After a while, the two Impermanences said, "Truly, they're grandfather and grandson, both so stubborn." Kuang Tianyou struggled to ask, "Where's Hua Shi? What have you done to her?" The Black Impermanence smiled sinisterly, "That brat, it's her good fortune that I took a liking to her. I wanted her to be my third concubine, but she dared to disobey. So I put her in the Yin Wind Formation and let's see how long she can last." Upon hearing this, Kuang Tianyou was filled with grief. "Release her immediately, or I won't forgive you!" The Black Impermanence stepped forward and kicked him again. "You can't even protect yourself, yet you dare to threaten me. A living soul in the Yin Wind Formation can't last an hour. Even if you release her, I won't want her anymore. This is the consequence of daring to disobey me. She can just wait there to die. I want her soul to be scattered and never reincarnated."

Upon hearing this, Kuang Tianyou was so enraged that every cell in his body seemed to explode. He threw his head back and roared, his resentment soaring to the heavens. With all his might, a series of loud crashes rang out, and the Soul-Binding Chain (Death Lock) shattered into pieces. Kuang Tianyou stood there, coldly staring at the Two Impermanences. The Two Impermanences were stunned, experiencing fear for the first time in their lives, and regretting having provoked such a malevolent star.

If Kuang Tianyou was a demon just now, then he was now a grim reaper, radiating a chilling aura of death. Although the Black and White Impermanence were already ghost immortals, and theoretically nothing should be able to evoke their sense of death, this zombie before them truly gave them the feeling of the depths of hell. It was terrifying; he had even broken the Soul-Binding Chain (the Death-Taking Lock). How much spiritual power did that require? Even their king—Yama, the King of Hell who governs life and death—didn't possess such power.

Kuang Tianyou looked at the Black and White Impermanence with the same disdain that Asuras would show to two ants. "Where is the Yin Wind Formation? Take me there quickly, and I might spare your lives. Otherwise, I'll annihilate your souls and destroy your primordial spirits." Although the Black and White Impermanence were terrified of Kuang Tianyou, no one had ever been so arrogant in front of them in thousands of years. In a moment of rage, they completely forgot how terrifying the zombie before them was.

"If you want to enter the Yin Wind Formation, defeat us first." The two exchanged a knowing glance, simultaneously transforming into two gusts of wind. These two gusts merged, forming a massive tornado that swept towards Kuang Tianyou. Kuang Tianyou, unaware of the true nature of the attack, dodged it instantly. Seeing this, the Black and White Impermanence assumed Kuang Tianyou was afraid and felt a surge of smugness. "Kid, now you know how powerful we are! If we don't teach you a lesson, you'll think we brothers are afraid of you!" They said, and charged again. Kuang Tianyou roared and charged headlong into the whirlwind. His body spun rapidly in the opposite direction. Slowly, the tornado slowed down, then began to spin in the opposite direction again. The wind spun faster and faster until it suddenly stopped, throwing the two figures out.

"Ouch!" Black and White Impermanence collapsed to the ground, rubbing their backsides, still feeling dizzy. Kuang Tianyou stood there like a statue, coldly watching the two pathetic creatures. Black and White Impermanence took a while to recover, looking at Kuang Tianyou, this time terrified. "Brother, get out of here." Damn, they even used underworld slang. When it came to escaping, these two were no pushovers; in the blink of an eye, they were gone. How could Kuang Tianyou let them go? He gave chase…
