Geister im Medizinstudium Horror-Akten - Kapitel 19
Hongxi Village, sixty years ago.
Kuang Guohua led a guerrilla force in a raid on a Japanese base, killing Yamamoto Kazuo's father. However, he was pursued by Japanese soldiers and, wounded, arrived at Hongxi Village. He hid under the protection of the village chief and villagers. But his safety was short-lived. Yamamoto Kazuo, seeking revenge for his father, led Japanese soldiers to Hongxi Village, searching house to house. The villagers initially tried to protect him, but the Japanese soldiers found his blood-stained clothes. Seeing his fellow villagers about to die at the hands of the Japanese, Kuang Guohua could no longer bear it and stepped forward. Fortunately, the guerrilla force arrived in time and saved his life. Kuang Guohua then chased Yamamoto Kazuo into the mountains. The two fought from dawn till dusk, until the sky darkened and they were both covered in wounds. The vast, yellowish-brown wilderness was filled with a murderous aura. Suddenly, a roar shook the heavens and earth. The mysterious and unpredictable Zombie King—Jiang Chen—awakened from his century-long slumber. He stared at the monster before him. Instinctive fear caused Kuang Guohua and Yamamoto Kazuo, who were fighting, to put aside their grudges and stop simultaneously, staring dumbfounded at Jiang Chen before them. Yamamoto Kazuo charged forward first, swinging his katana to meet Jiang Chen's attack head-on. Jiang Chen swung his massive hand, knocking him away. Although Kuang Guohua hated Yamamoto Kazuo, he felt a surge of camaraderie with Jiang Chen. He swung his broadsword like lightning, aiming for Jiang Chen's head. Jiang Chen didn't take him seriously at all. With a similar swing of his massive hand, Kuang Guohua was also sent flying, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Jiang Chen approached step by step. "No, I don't want to die! I haven't killed any Japanese devils yet, I'm not reconciled!" Seemingly sensing Kuang Guohua's thoughts, Jiang Chen stopped. After a while, Jiang Chen approached again, opened his mouth, and extended his long fangs, lunging at Kuang Guohua. Kuang Guohua, utterly despondent, closed his eyes, awaiting death. Just then, he heard a clear voice, "Jiang Chen, stop hurting people!" His eyes snapped open, and he saw a scene he would never forget for the rest of his life.

Yesterday's Yellow Flowers (Part 2)
Under the dim moonlight, a beautiful figure descended from the sky like a celestial maiden. The newcomer carried a long sword, had two black braids, and wore a floral dress. She thrust her sword straight at Jiang Chen's crown. Jiang Chen dodged, and the two clashed. Kuang Guohua, focused only on their fight, didn't see Yamamoto Kazuo quietly get up and stagger away. Although the newcomer was highly skilled, she was no match for Jiang Chen. Seeing the situation was dire, Kuang Guohua rushed to help. However, he was utterly exhausted, his limbs weak, and soon his steel sword was knocked away. In desperation, he grabbed Jiang Chen's arms from behind. The woman seized the opportunity to escape. With her hands forming a mudra, she uttered a mantra with each mudra: "Lin, Bing, Dou, Zhe, Jie, Zhen, Lie, Zai, Qian, Zhu Xie." After reciting the mantra, a golden dragon rose from behind her, thunder roared in the sky, and lightning flashed towards Jiang Chen in an instant. Jiang Chen realized the danger he was in and shook himself violently, instantly knocking Kuang Guohua unconscious.
After an unknown amount of time, Kuang Guohua slowly awoke. Through his blurry vision, he saw a beautiful woman's face above him. "You're awake," the woman smiled gently. "Thank you for saving my life. May I ask your name, my benefactor?" Kuang Guohua, though barely awake, hadn't forgotten the woman's life-saving grace. "My name is Ma Danna, the current descendant of the Ma clan of the Exorcist Dragon Clan," Ma Danna introduced herself with a smile. Kuang Guohua carefully examined the woman before him. She had a lovely apple-shaped face, and beneath her delicate eyebrows were a pair of large, bright eyes, clear and expressive. She had a high, straight nose and rosy lips. Her simple clothes couldn't conceal her curvaceous figure. She was truly a beautiful girl. Kuang Guohua looked at the beauty before him and couldn't help but admire her inwardly. "My name is Kuang Guohua." "So it's Brother Kuang. I must thank you for your great help earlier. It's a pity that Jiang Chen escaped. Alas, I wonder when we'll be able to kill him." Kuang Guohua was completely confused. "Who is Jiang Chen?" Ma Danna glanced at him and said, "He's the monster you just encountered. He's the true ancestor of zombies. He's also the ancestral enemy of our Ma family. A long time ago, our Ma family started hunting him down, but we never succeeded." Kuang Guohua was still confused. Seeing this, Ma Danna had no choice but to explain it to him in detail. "I know you might not believe it. But there are many things in this world that we cannot explain. Take Jiang Chen, for example. We don't know when he appeared. He is the king of zombies. Anyone bitten by him will turn into a zombie, and the righteous become more righteous, and the evil become more evil. He has immortal life and can live for thousands of generations. Our Ma family can be said to exist for him. We have been fighting against him since our ancestors, but every generation of Ma family descendants can only hurt him, but cannot completely destroy him. Now that he is gone, it will be another hundred years before we can get rid of him." Kuang Guohua asked in surprise, "Why will it be a hundred years before we can get rid of him?" Ma Danna said quietly, "Jiang Chen only appears every hundred years and stays in the world for three years. If we cannot destroy him during this period, we will have to wait until he has been asleep for a hundred years before we can find him." Kuang Guohua suddenly understood. "To prevent him from harming more people, I must kill him within these three years. Otherwise, the world will descend into chaos again, demons will roam freely, and the people will suffer once more." Hearing this, Kuang Guohua was deeply moved by her compassionate heart. "If there's anything I, Kuang Guohua, can do to help, please send someone to let me know. I will do everything in my power to help you deal with Jiang Chen." "Alright, I will definitely let you know if I need your help." The two made a pact, high-fiving each other. Little did they know that this promise would change their entire lives, and even the entire world.
Two years passed in a flash. Kuang Guohua and Axiu got married and had a son. With the changing domestic situation and the end of the World Anti-Fascist War, Japan's strategic advantage in China was gone, and it was defeated by the People's Liberation Army. Kuang Guohua also left the guerrilla force and worked in the local government. One day, suddenly, Madana appeared before him. "Brother Kuang, we meet again." Kuang Guohua was overjoyed to see an old friend and quickly entertained her. Accompanying Madana was a young man. Ma Danna introduced them: "This is Brother Kuang, whom I mentioned before. This is Mao Yingqiu, who is known as one of the 'Southern Mao and Northern Ma' of our Ma family. His skills are profound, even more so than mine." Mao Yingqiu smiled shyly, "Danna, don't boast about me. Even my ancestor admired the Taoist arts of your Ma family. My abilities are far inferior to yours." Seeing this, Kuang Guohua said, "Alright, don't be modest. Since you've come here, you are my guests. Let me treat you well." He led the two men home, killed a chicken and cooked fish, and began to chat about their experiences over the past two years.

Fate/stay night (Part 1)
After Kuang Guohua and Ma Danna recounted their experiences over the past two years, Ma Danna said solemnly, "Brother Kuang, we've come here on an important mission. Remember what you said? We need your help this time." Kuang Guohua wasn't surprised. "You've come for the Zombie King Jiang Chen, haven't you?" Ma Danna said, "Yes, for the past two years, I've been tracking Jiang Chen, experiencing dozens of fierce battles, but I haven't been able to completely eliminate him. Now, three years are almost up, and I can't wait another hundred years. So, I sought help from Mao Yingqiu, the only heir of the Mao family. With the combined strength of the Southern Mao and Northern Ma families, we must find Jiang Chen before he falls into a deep sleep again and completely eliminate this threat." Kuang Guohua listened, his expression serious. "You want me to do this?" Ma Danna stared at Kuang Guohua with her beautiful eyes. "Based on my understanding of Jiang Chen..." Jiang Chen will return to Hongxi Village soon, and that will be the best time for us to deal with him. However, to avoid frightening and harming innocent villagers, I hope Brother Kuang can persuade everyone to hide for the time being, so that we can unleash our full power to deal with Jiang Chen. "Don't worry, I will tell the villagers. But when should we tell them to hide?" Ma Danna calculated with her fingers. "The day after tomorrow is the night of the full moon, which is also the time when the yin energy is at its strongest. Jiang Chen will definitely appear then. Just tell the villagers not to wander around during the day and to stay at home at night." "Okay, let's do that." After that, Kuang Guohua began to persuade the villagers. Fortunately, he still had a lot of prestige among the villagers, so he got them on his feet without much effort. On the third day, the long wait finally began. Kuang Guohua, Ma Danna, and Mao Yingqiu quietly conserved their energy, waiting for dusk to arrive.
The sun slowly set behind the mountains, the sky a blood red, as if foreshadowing a bloody night. Madana opened her eyes: "Yingqiu, it's time, we should set off." Kuang Guohua hurriedly said from the side, "How could you forget me? I'll come too, more people means more strength." Madana hesitated: "Brother Kuang, you just had a baby, and besides, this journey is very dangerous. I don't want anything to happen to you." "Madana, I know you mean well, but I can't just let you deal with Jiang Chen alone. Take me with you, maybe I can help you." "Alright then, but you must take good care of yourself, otherwise I'll let down my sister-in-law and nephew." "Don't worry, I know what to do." Kuang Guohua went back inside to say goodbye to Axiu.
Because Jiang Chen's affair was too shocking, Kuang Guohua kindly lied to A-Xiu and the villagers, saying it was a task assigned by his superiors to prevent the villagers from going out that night. Therefore, A-Xiu was unaware of the seriousness of the situation. Seeing Kuang Guohua come in to say goodbye, she didn't pay much attention, only offering a few words of advice. Kuang Guohua looked at A-Xiu, then at their infant son. "A-Xiu, this mission of mine is rather special. If—I mean, in the unlikely event that I can't come back—you must take good care of yourself and find a good man to settle down with." A-Xiu didn't mind, because Kuang Guohua always said the same thing to her when he had missions. "Guohua, look at you, talking nonsense again. Don't think too much about it. I'll wait for you to come home." Kuang Guohua didn't say anything more, kissed his son, and looked at A-Xiu with deep affection. He knew this might be the last time he saw his wife; he wanted to remember A-Xiu's face with all his heart. This last glance was the image of A-Xiu that would be deeply imprinted in his heart for the next sixty years. It remained vividly in his mind until the day he died. Ah Xiu's eyes were filled with concern and worry, hidden in her misty eyes.
Kuang Guohua could no longer bear it and hugged Axiu tightly. "Axiu, I promise you, I will definitely come back, I definitely will." With that, he turned and walked away without looking back. He dared not look back at Axiu and her child, afraid that it would soften his resolve. He walked towards the valley with Madanna and Mao Yingqiu. Under the setting sun, a woman watched the three figures slowly disappear into the distance. No one knew that this night would bring these people separation by death and endless pain and longing.
Kuang Guohua and several others entered the valley, surrounded by the pitch-black night. The mountains resembled monstrous beasts, the forests eerily beautiful. From within the jungle, a pair of eyes were fixed intently on the three men. "Kuang Guohua, it's time to end everything between us, to settle our scores. Let the sun god bear witness, let the Emperor protect us, tonight, I will kill this Chinese pig and avenge my father." He was Yamamoto Kazuo. Japan was on the verge of defeat, but fueled by hatred, he disregarded everything and hid here, determined to kill Kuang Guohua and avenge his father. Tonight, he too had arrived at Hongxi Village. Thus, these destined enemies embarked on their separate paths.

Fate/stay night (Part 2)
Kuang Guohua and the others were completely unaware that this "oriole" was like a venomous snake, eyeing them menacingly, waiting for the right moment to bite them. All their attention was focused on the approaching zombie king—Jiang Chen.
The night passed quietly, and before they knew it, it was midnight. A deathly silence reigned. Suddenly, a zombie's roar shattered the stillness in the wilderness. Madana's spirits lifted: "Everyone, be careful! Jiang Chen is coming soon!" Kuang Guohua was filled with a mixture of fear, excitement, and indescribable emotions. Madana glanced at him: "Brother Kuang, when Jiang Chen comes out, you stay in the back. Only make your move when we can't handle him. If we all die, don't linger. Go back quickly; Jiang Chen will be asleep for a hundred years anyway." Kuang Guohua remained silent, only offering a faint smile. Madana knew these words were useless; if they couldn't kill Jiang Chen tonight, the three of them would likely not return alive.
A night wind blew, swirling withered leaves into the air before they slowly drifted down. Jiang Chen's tall, terrifying figure appeared before them in the wilderness. Madanna attacked first: "Jiang Chen, tonight is your death night!" Gripping her demon-slaying blade, she charged at Jiang Chen. Mao Yingqiu, fearing she couldn't handle Jiang Chen alone, followed suit. The three clashed. Jiang Chen, worthy of being the true ancestor of zombies, held his own against the two most outstanding demon-slaying families of the era. His tall frame was not cumbersome, but rather agile as a swallow, easily navigating the encirclement of Madanna and Mao Yingqiu. Seeing the situation was dire, Kuang Guohua brandished his steel blade and joined the fray. A fierce battle ensued. They fought for two or three hours, until the first light of dawn appeared. Kuang Guohua and the others were exhausted, only sustained by their strong will. Jiang Chen, on the other hand, showed no signs of fatigue.
Just then, two white cats darted out from the path. A small figure followed closely behind. "Big White, Little White, come back quickly, stop being naughty!" Hearing his calls, Big White and Little White ran even faster, dashing towards the fighting group. Unfortunately, they darted right onto Jiang Chen. Enraged, Jiang Chen frantically groped around, grabbing Big White and Little White in his hands, and with a forceful pull, strangled the two kittens to death. The child, witnessing this, was filled with hatred for the murder of his pets and friends. He lunged at Jiang Chen, his small hands pounding on his body like drums. Jiang Chen, still furious, raised his hand and sent the child flying. "Xiao Qiang!" Kuang Guohua recognized the newcomer as his neighbor, Xiao Qiang. Remembering Xiao Qiang's usually well-behaved nature, his anger flared, and he swung his steel knife at Jiang Chen with all his might. Ma Danna and Mao Yingqiu were shocked by what they saw. They knew that Kuang Guohua was exhausted, both physically and mentally, after several hours of fighting. Letting him face Jiang Chen alone would be tantamount to suicide. In desperation, they disregarded their own safety and lunged at Jiang Chen. Having fought all night, Jiang Chen already knew that Ma Danna and Mao Yingqiu were his formidable opponents. Seeing them risking their lives to save Kuang Guohua, leaving him vulnerable, he wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by. Changing his position, Ma Danna and Mao Yingqiu saw a fist gradually grow larger in front of them, and with two loud thuds, they were both knocked out of the circle and knocked unconscious. But this gave Kuang Guohua an opening. His steel blade struck Jiang Chen's shoulder, drawing blood. Kuang Guohua was overjoyed and struggled to pull out his blade, but his body was weak and he had no strength. In desperation, he loosened his grip, opened his arms to embrace Jiang Chen, and bit down on his neck. Kuang Guohua felt a sweet liquid flow into his mouth and down his stomach, instantly giving him a surge of new strength. But at the same time, his consciousness began to fade; only one thought remained in his mind: to bite Jiang Chen to death and prevent him from harming others. Jiang Chen, greatly alarmed, also bit Kuang Guohua's neck, fiercely sucking his blood. The blood within their bodies formed a strange cycle, like the yin and yang of a tai chi symbol, generating a mysterious power that neither Kuang Guohua nor Jiang Chen could escape.
This stalemate lasted for more than ten minutes, until the blood in their bodies reached a balance. At this moment, Madanna and Mao Yingqiu slowly awoke. Seeing the situation, they used the last of their strength to summon a divine dragon and heavenly lightning. A strange phenomenon appeared in the sky. Amidst the roar of thunder, a golden dragon flashed out, rushing towards Jiang Chen and Kuang Guohua. In the face of death, Jiang Chen unleashed a powerful force, sending Kuang Guohua flying. Struck by the golden dragon and then enduring a bolt of heavenly lightning, Jiang Chen finally collapsed to the ground. Seeing this, Madanna and Mao Yingqiu could no longer stand and also collapsed.
"Hahaha..." A burst of maniacal laughter erupted as a figure emerged from the dense forest. "Kuang Guohua, Kuang Guohua, don't die so young! You're mine, and you must die by my hand!" The newcomer was none other than Yamamoto Kazuo. He walked up to Kuang Guohua and plunged his katana into Kuang Guohua's body with a swift motion. "Stop, you bastard!" Just as Yamamoto Kazuo's katana pierced Kuang Guohua's chest, Xiao Qiang woke up and, seeing his beloved elder brother Kuang being killed by a Japanese devil, lunged forward in a frenzy. Yamamoto Kazuo was truly inhuman; he plunged his katana into Xiao Qiang's body and then kicked him away, sending him flying next to Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen awoke, a strong will to survive gripping him. He stretched out his long teeth and bit into Xiao Qiang's neck. Then he coldly stared at Yamamoto Kazuo. Yamamoto Kazuo felt uneasy under his gaze and charged forward with his katana. Jiang Chen easily knocked the katana away, then grabbed him, lowered his head, and bit down. With another flick of his wrist, Yamamoto Kazuo was thrown into the valley.
Seeing the fallen men, Jiang Chen was puzzled that he hadn't killed Madanna and Mao Yingqiu, and turned to leave.
After a while, Kuang Guohua woke up, and strangely, his wounds had completely healed. Looking at the people lying on the ground, he noticed someone who shouldn't be there. "Xiao Qiang, what happened to you?" Under his gaze, another strange thing happened. Xiao Qiang's teeth marks gradually disappeared, and his wounds healed. Long fangs also grew out of his mouth.
