Zhou Qishen had even taken a shower. He stood at the door, drying his hair, and asked, "Aren't you practicing your martial arts today?"
Her habit was to stretch her legs and do a split anytime, anywhere after getting up in the morning. Zhao Xiyin said angrily to herself in the mirror, "My groin hurts, I can't do a split."
Zhou Qishen nodded. "That's right, I already helped you practice last night."
Zhao Xiyin turned around and scolded, "Go further away!"
Zhou Qishen laughed heartily, then went back to the bedroom to change. No longer caring about her, he loosened his bath towel and let it fall to the ground, revealing his all-black underwear. He put on his suit trousers, which accentuated the silhouette of his upper body. Zhou Qishen had originally intended to wear a shirt, but then hesitated and changed to a cashmere turtleneck underneath.
I have to go out to run errands today, and my neck is covered in scratches from last night when a woman scratched me.
"Where are you going today?" Zhao Xiyin asked, leaning against the door.
"Going to see a friend." Zhou Qishen glanced at her in the full-length mirror. "Want to come along?"
"No, I have something to do too." Zhao Xiyin asked, "Do you know Su Ying?"
Zhou Qishen wasn't wearing a suit today; he was casually draped a short black down jacket over his shoulders. "I know, the one who wasn't very friendly to you." He turned his head. "What? Did I give you the cold shoulder?"
“No,” Zhao Xiyin said. “She wants me to go to the art center to dance after I finish filming this movie, learn the dance ‘Rainbow Clouds and the Moon’, and then go on a national tour with her.”
Zhou Qishen asked, "What are your thoughts?"
"I haven't decided yet," Zhao Xiyin pouted. "The filming here isn't finished yet, let's take a break for now."
Zhou Qishen hummed in agreement. "I won't interfere with your decision. Whatever you choose is fine."
Zhao Xiyin ran over with a smile, hugged his waist from behind, and rubbed her face against his back, saying, "Boss Zhou, how can you be so handsome!"
Zhou Qishen was a little unsteady on his feet from her rubbing against him, and said with a smile, "It's all yours from now on."
After they finished getting ready, just before leaving, Zhou Qishen took something out of the drawer, walked over to Zhao Xiyin who was changing her shoes, and then put it in her palm. "Running around isn't convenient. You can use this car for now. If you don't like driving it, I'll get you another one."
It's a brand new Audi.
Zhao Xiyin had held her driver's license for many years and had considerable driving experience, so Zhou Qishen had a good grasp of her skills and she was perfectly capable of driving alone. Since things had progressed to this point, there was no need to refuse or distance themselves further. Zhao Xiyin readily accepted, even waving her hand smugly, "From now on, I'll pick you up from get off work."
Zhou Qishen took her hand: "It's my honor."
——
He didn't know when he bought the new car, but it had all the necessary paperwork and license plates. After getting used to it for a while, Zhao Xiyin picked up the speed and drove to Su Ying's art center in the suburbs.
Meanwhile, Zhou Qishen went in the opposite direction to the west of the city.
"Mr. Zhou, this way please." The nurse led the way to the third floor.
The corridor was clean and bright, with doctors' offices on both sides. At the very front, Zhou Qishen pushed open the door and nodded, saying, "Dr. Hu."
The man was thin and had a refined appearance; though he was in his early forties, he didn't look his age. He said, "Qishen, please sit down."
"Has the test report come out yet?"
"It's out." Dr. Hu took a folder out of the drawer, flipped to a page, handed it to him, and then pointed to one of the items.
Zhou Qishen knew what was going on, and looked up. "Your suggestion."
Dr. Hu said, "Observe first. If your symptoms continue to worsen, then have another check-up."
Zhou Qishen paused for a moment, then said, "Okay, I understand."
——
"Move around a bit more here, Xiaoxiao, look, the formation isn't straight. Yes, turn around, very good."
Su Ying personally guided the young actors from the audience. They looked inexperienced, but their expressions were focused, and they danced with great seriousness. Su Ying treated them all equally and then went back to the camera screen to check the results.
"What do you think?" she suddenly asked Zhao Xiyin, who was standing beside her.
“Here.” Zhao Xiyin gestured to the left, “The arc of this position is too round, while the front of the line, look at this triangular shape, it’s very symmetrical. The transition is a bit unnatural.”
After thinking for a moment, Su Ying stood up straight and called out, "Zou Yu and Xiao Tian, you two change your positions."
Looking at it this way, she nodded, "It is indeed much better."
Zhao Xiyin then quietly retreated to the sidelines, not wanting to disturb her work.
A few minutes later, Su Ying came over and handed her a bottle of water. "How's your decision?"
Zhao Xiyin hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Teacher Su, if I sign a contract with you, are there any other stipulations?"
"For example?"
"So, during the contract period, I can't date or get married, etc." Zhao Xiyin's voice grew softer and softer.
"No." Su Ying answered calmly. After two seconds, she probably thought her idea was absurd and gave her an impatient look that said, "Do you even have a brain?" "I don't want you to act in idol dramas. What does it matter to me whether you're in a relationship or not? Just dance well, and you can do whatever you want."
Zhao Xiyin puffed out her cheeks and said, "Oh."
Su Ying was discerning and clear-headed, and knew that there must be a reason for her question, so she said directly, "Teacher Dai also contacted you."
Zhao Xiyin was taken aback.
Judging from her expression, the answer was obvious. Su Ying glanced at her sideways, "Then why didn't you agree?"
"I don't want to act in movies." Zhao Xiyin's expression was blank, but she had something on her mind.
Su Ying said, "Teacher Dai is doing very well now, and she is successful in every industry. You are her beloved student. When she needs you, you turn to my side instead. Have you ever thought about it? Aren't you afraid of damaging your teacher-student relationship?"
