Your Majesty - Chapter 17

Chapter 17

"It's still here," another voice replied. "The Alliance Leader instructed me to take the clothes over and put them away first."

Pang Wan was immediately jolted awake.

She remembered what the imposter Wang Gang had said that day—important treasures should always be with you.

So he remained calm and used his lightness skill to follow behind the maid.

In the lush bamboo forest, a stream flows gently by. From a distance, a long-haired, half-naked young man appears to be growing out of the valley—no, wait, standing there.

Ignoring the erotic scene before him, Pang Wan seized the opportunity to knock the maid unconscious, then took the clothes from her hands and began to search them.

I searched and searched, turning over every pocket and even prying open the inner compartments, but still found nothing.

"Could it be that you're carrying it with you?" Pang Wan frowned and tiptoed toward the bamboo grove by the stream.

She decided to shamelessly spy on him.

The stream murmured, the sun blazed, and whether intentionally or by coincidence, every time she changed her angle, the leader would slowly turn around, always keeping his back to her. Reflected in the sunlight, Pang Wan couldn't make out any details of him; she only saw that he stood there, covered in water droplets, like a radiant statue.

"It even has its own built-in reflector?" Pang Wan was both angry and anxious, and finally couldn't bear it any longer, so she flipped over and leaped onto the tip of the purple bamboo. She planned to peek down from the air—the Alliance Leader couldn't possibly lie flat in the stream all at once, could he!

In that split second, the leader of the alliance suddenly looked up and looked in her direction.

His eyes were sharp and piercing.

The moment their eyes met, Pang Wan's eyes widened, and with a sudden gulp, he couldn't catch his breath and thrashed wildly into the water with a loud "plop."

After coughing and choking on several mouthfuls of water, she finally managed to climb out of the water and meet the slightly pursed face of the person opposite her.

"How come it's you?" she stared at him blankly.

"It is I." The man looked at her disheveled, drenched appearance with a half-smile.

"You're the alliance leader?" Pang Wan's jaw nearly dropped off his face. "You've betrayed us?"

The veins on the man's forehead throbbed twice as he said, "Who told you that the alliance leader has been replaced?"

Pang Wan looked surprised: "Could it be that the maid lied to me, and the Alliance Leader doesn't bathe here?"

The veins on the man's forehead bulged twice more as he slowly said, "Wanwan, I am Gu Xiju myself."

Pang Wan pushed her mouth back down, took a deep breath, and roared, "You lied to me! You lied to me! Bai Xiaosheng, you actually lied to me!"

Bai Xiaosheng—no, he should be called Gu Xiju—helplessly covered her mouth: "When have I ever lied to you? I've never admitted it myself."

"You didn't admit it, you just kept tacitly agreeing!" Pang Wan was both angry and resentful. He punched and kicked Gu Xiju in the water, but the other party was thick-skinned and the water resistance was great, so his attacks were just scratching the surface.

Gu Xiju didn't say anything, letting her struggle as she pleased.

After struggling for quite a while, Pang Wan finally gave up, exhausted.

"You brat, if you dare to lie to me again, I'll rip out your heart, liver, spleen, and lungs and feed them to the wolves!" She bared her teeth at him, like a ferocious little beast.

Gu Xiju smiled and patted her head.

Pang Wan eventually forgave Gu Xiju, and this "finally" came very quickly, in about a third of an incense stick's time.

Gu Xiju said that the white-clad man she mistook for "Gu Xiju" last time was actually the real Bai Xiaosheng, and he just went along with the mistake for a moment because he thought it was funny; but today he asked her out to come clean and he had no intention of deceiving her anymore.

Pang Wan thought to himself, firstly, it seemed that he had never actually said that he was Bai Xiaosheng, so at least he still had some conscience left; secondly, since the other party had already lied to him, what else could he do? Should he cry and beg the leader of the martial arts alliance for compensation for emotional distress?

Pang Wan was clearly not that kind of person, so she quickly accepted the fact that she had been deceived, and casually explained to Gu Xiju why she had mistaken Bai Xiaosheng for him—she said that she had seen him for the first time many years ago.

Gu Xiju seemed unconcerned about the matter, treating it merely as a joke by the young girl. However, he did make a suggestion, hoping that Pang Wan could become his maid.

He said that his maid was easily ambushed, clearly indicating that her martial arts skills were inferior to Pang Wan's, and it would be difficult for her to protect him in the future. On the other hand, Pang Wan's martial arts skills were very high, and he would definitely be able to lend a hand in critical moments.

Pang Wan thought that being a maid would allow her to observe Gu Xiju up close, find out the whereabouts of the Jade Dragon Token, and perhaps even have a chance to meet Sang Chan. In addition, she could earn some money. It was really not bad. So she only hesitated for less than three seconds before happily agreeing.

She thought that the martial arts alliance leader's maid was just a thug and bodyguard, and that her job was very simple and silly.

Well, we have to say, this idea is actually quite silly and simple.

Maidservant with broad thinking

Under the scorching sun, Gu Xiju was practicing his sword in the courtyard again.

There's no need to use adjectives like "graceful as a startled swan" or "swift as a dragon." In Pang Wan's view, he was deliberately showing off his muscular physique, glistening with sweat.

The air was thick with the scent of male hormones, and the other two maids had already blushed secretly. Pang Wan looked at the broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted inverted triangle physique of the person opposite her, feeling both jealous and envious: Such excellent natural features have been enjoyed by Fairy Sang Chan, senior, you have such a lucky life!

Just as he was lost in thought, the person opposite him stood still and sheathed his sword.

"Give it to me." He turned his head, his clothes wide open, and stretched out a hand to her.

A slightly heaving bronze chest suddenly came into view, and Pang Wan jumped, grabbing the robe beside him and running over: "Here, put this on quickly!" To cover up your exposed body!

Gu Xiju looked at her with a puzzled expression and shook her head: "It's not this one."

Not this one? Then which one is it? Pang Wan tilted her head to look at him—she was truly confused.

Gu Xiju sighed, took the robe from her, and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his face.

Pang Wan then realized what was going on.

The other maids began to show disdain.

After wiping his face, Gu Xiju ordered, "Tea."
