Chapter 459 Request
In the peach grove of Luojia Mountain in the South China Sea, Mo Mo was drinking tea with some distress. He had returned to Luojia Mountain three days ago because Guanyin had sent him a message that she would soon emerge from seclusion. So, after ending his conversation with the Jade Emperor and leaving the Heavenly Court, he returned to Luojia Mountain.
At this moment, Mo Mo was troubled not only because Guanyin was about to emerge from seclusion, but also because he had encountered someone when he left the Heavenly Court. That person was named Taishang Laojun. That's right, Mo Mo was intercepted by Laojun after leaving the Heavenly Court. Laojun's purpose was very simple. He hoped that Mo Mo would visit his Tushita Palace often. Moreover, he even showed a hint of appreciation for Mo Mo's residence on Luojia Mountain. Judging from his appearance, he was almost about to directly encourage Mo Mo to win over Guanyin.
Mo Mo had more or less guessed Laozi's thoughts. As an incarnation of a sage, and sages are immortal, they stand at the pinnacle of the entire prehistoric world. They no longer have much desire for material treasures, unless it's a supreme innate treasure. Otherwise, very few things can catch their eye. Therefore, they care more about their reputation. However, the Three Pure Ones lost face greatly in the Investiture of the Gods. Not only did the three brothers turn against each other, but their disciples suffered heavy losses, and the two Western sages schemed against them and gained a lot of benefits. Although Hongjun suppressed it in the end, how could they swallow this humiliation? So now that there was an opportunity to embarrass the Buddhist sect and make those two lose face, how could Laozi let it go? So he directly approached Mo Mo. However, his ultimate goal was to win Mo Mo over, to get him to side with the Heavenly Court to fight against the Buddhist sect, and preferably to suppress the Buddhist sect. That was what he wanted most.
However, Mo Mo didn't want to get involved in their struggle, because it would be a thankless task, and if their true forms intervened, Mo Mo would have no choice but to run away. Although he agreed to Lao Jun's request to visit the Tushita Palace more often in the future, he didn't agree to anything beyond that. Lao Jun, having received Mo Mo's final reply, didn't say anything else and left with a smile. However, Mo Mo knew that this matter was definitely not over yet. They had already come knocking on his door; how could it be resolved so easily? Therefore, Mo Mo concluded that Lao Jun would definitely have some other tricks up his sleeve, which was what troubled Mo Mo. Although he wasn't afraid, it was still annoying.
The Jade Emperor sought him out to win him over. During their conversation at Yaochi, the Jade Emperor listed all the crimes of Buddhism, his words filled with disgust for the sect. This was inevitable, as Buddhism was a sect of saints, not under the jurisdiction of the Heavenly Court, while the Jade Emperor was the ruler of Heaven and Earth, governing the Three Realms. Yet, this sect, which should have been cultivating in the West, repeatedly interfered in the affairs of the Three Realms, meddling in almost everything. How could the Jade Emperor, as the ruler of the Three Realms, not be angry?
Originally, he intended to completely win over Mo Mo, but he failed. However, he was not discouraged. Since he could not completely win over Mo Mo and make him work for him, he could try another method. Therefore, his purpose in finding Mo Mo this time was very simple: to spend a certain amount of money to make Mo Mo thoroughly disgust the Buddhist sect in the upcoming Journey to the West. It was impossible to ruin the Journey to the West, but it was still possible to thoroughly disgust the Buddhist sect. After thinking about it, Mo Mo finally agreed to the Jade Emperor's request. The reward was ten peach trees that ripened once every nine thousand years, plus a handful of Nine Heavens Breath Soil.
This reward is already quite generous. You must know that the peaches of immortality are the lifeblood of the Queen Mother of the West. Although many peach trees have been cultivated and planted over the years, the vast majority of them ripen once every six thousand or three thousand years. There are only about a thousand trees that ripen once every nine thousand years. Moreover, because the ripening period of the peaches of immortality is so long, after cultivating them for so long, the peaches that grow on these peach trees only provide a small surplus after supplying the Peach Banquet. So this is already considered quite good.
However, these peach trees are not the most precious, because as long as the innate spiritual root is still there, it is just a matter of spending some time cultivating them. Therefore, the most precious thing is the handful of Nine Heavens Breath Soil. This Nine Heavens Breath Soil can be said to be the foundation of the Peach Garden. Without the Nine Heavens Breath Soil, even if the Queen Mother spent a lot of effort, she could not have cultivated so many peach trees. And this Peach Garden with thousands of peach trees only has a little over one square meter of Nine Heavens Breath Soil. It can be seen how precious this Nine Heavens Breath Soil is.
Most importantly, there is only so much of this Nine Heavens Breath Soil in the world. It is the first type of soil that emerged at the beginning of creation, possessing all sorts of magical properties. It was divided up as early as the primordial era, so there is nowhere to find it in later generations. This handful of Nine Heavens Breath Soil is enough for Mo Mo to plant a hundred or so peach trees that ripen once every nine thousand years. The reward is only generous.
Having received the reward, one must certainly do something. However, the Journey to the West has not yet begun, so there is no rush. The most pressing matter now is how to deal with Guanyin, who is about to emerge from seclusion. After all, she has already processed almost all the bamboo shoots dug up by the little black dragon. Apart from drying some, she has pickled the rest into sour bamboo shoots. As for fresh bamboo shoots, there are plenty in the Purple Bamboo Forest. If you want to eat them, just go and dig up a couple.
Amidst a slight annoyance, Mo Mo waited another three days before Guanyin emerged from seclusion. There were no extraordinary phenomena such as heavenly flowers falling or golden lotuses springing from the ground when Guanyin emerged from seclusion; on the contrary, there were no signs whatsoever. Mo Mo only realized that Guanyin had emerged from seclusion when she arrived at the Peach Blossom Forest. After all, Guanyin had only gone into seclusion to adapt to her newly acquired power, so there were no unusual phenomena.
As Guanyin gracefully approached him, Mo Mo felt inexplicably guilty, because the bamboo shoots were still obediently lying on his body in his little world. However, to his surprise, Guanyin didn't seem to have any intention of settling scores with him. Guanyin glanced at him and noticed a hint of doubt in Mo Mo's eyes. She quickly understood what he was wondering about and said softly, "I'm not that petty. It's just some bamboo shoots. With some water, the bamboo forest will be full of bamboo shoots again when we come back. But this is a one-time thing, and it won't happen again."
When Mo Mo heard Guanyin's words, he knew that she had truly let go. Of course, there was also a hint of a threat in her words. After all, the bamboo shoots would have to wait for them to return from their descent to the mortal realm to save all living beings before they could grow. So, another meaning behind Guanyin's words was that if Mo Mo didn't go with her, the matter wouldn't be over. Therefore, Mo Mo compromised. Moreover, there were still nearly a thousand years until the Journey to the West, so it wouldn't hurt to go to the mortal realm with Guanyin.
Guanyin truly lives up to her reputation as the Bodhisattva who saves people from suffering. After leaving Mount Luojia with him, she went straight to the mortal world. Although this era was rich in celestial energy and the people of this world were generally very strong, there were also many demons and monsters. Fortunately, the Heavenly Court had not yet disappeared in this era, and the gods and immortals often appeared, so the world was relatively peaceful. However, due to the large number of strange beasts in the mountains and the relatively backward planting techniques, the lives of ordinary people were still hard.
After accompanying Guanyin in saving sentient beings for a period of time, Mo Mo learned that Guanyin's salvation of sentient beings was not about bringing these people into Buddhism and making them Buddhist believers, but about teaching them the principles of being a good person through examples of their own experiences of lightness of body. Moreover, Guanyin often transformed into scholars, old farmers, and other figures to teach ordinary people to read and farm. Of course, Mo Mo would not miss out on such things.

Chapter 460 A Helping Hand
Time flies, and hundreds of years have passed in a flash. During these hundreds of years, Mo Mo has transformed into an old farmer, a scholar, a merchant, a cook, and even a beggar. Of course, he has also transformed into an emperor. The biggest change during these hundreds of years has been the change of dynasties. During this time, Mo Mo finally had the good fortune to witness the legendary Peach Banquet.
In just a few hundred years, the dynasties that ruled the human world have changed hands several times. The Great Zhou Dynasty was punished by the Heavenly Court because its emperors were obsessed with cultivating their minds and had no interest in governing the country. The Great Zhou Dynasty collapsed, and the human world entered the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. The Five Hegemons of the Spring and Autumn Period, namely Duke Huan of Qi, Duke Xiang of Song, Duke Wen of Jin, Duke Mu of Qin, and King Zhuang of Chu, all appeared. During this period, Mo Mo transformed into King Fuchai of Wu and spent several years with Xi Shi, the most beautiful of the Four Beauties. During this time, the gods and immortals in the heavens were not to be outdone and seemed to be speaking out in the mortal world, which led to the flourishing of the Hundred Schools of Thought.
Although Mo Mo transformed into King Fuchai of Wu, he was bound by the rules of Heaven and could not change history. Of course, Mo Mo was not the kind of person who did nothing. During his time as King Fuchai, he used his advanced knowledge to promote many advanced agricultural techniques throughout the country, such as seedling cultivation and crop rotation, which made the Wu Kingdom as powerful as ever. It even reached a point where no one would pick up lost items on the road and doors were left unlocked at night. However, in order not to change history, Mo Mo was eventually "forced" to fall into the arms of Xi Shi, which led to the Wu Kingdom being defeated by King Goujian of Yue.
After the fall of the Wu Kingdom, Xi Shi eventually left the Wu Kingdom with her beloved Fan Li. Mo Mo also wanted to continue to save people with Guanyin, so he secretly helped the two escape from the Wu Kingdom and eventually went into seclusion by Taihu Lake.
During the late Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, the Qin state gradually became the dominant power. Finally, under the rule of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of all time, China was reunified. However, Qin Shi Huang was too tyrannical. After sweeping through the six states, he forcibly tried to gather the dragon energy of one state in order to attain the Dao of Da Luo. As a result, he was ambushed by the remnants of the six states who were unwilling to accept defeat. In the end, he failed and the Qin dynasty was destroyed by the second emperor.
After the fall of Qin, and after a period of struggle, Liu Bang, the previously unknown Emperor Gaozu of Han, unexpectedly broke through the encirclement and led the Han Dynasty to reunify China. However, unlike in history, the Han Dynasty in this world did not have the division between the Eastern and Western Han Dynasties. It was not until the end of the Han Dynasty that the Han Dynasty fell into disintegration due to the decline of the Han court and the rise of treacherous officials. The world once again entered a period of warlordism, with various princes vying for control of the country.
This period was the busiest time for Mo Mo, because Guanyin did not abandon the people of the world who were displaced and often intervened to save them. However, it was only a drop in the ocean. Later, Guanyin realized that unless she appeared in person, she could not stop the situation. In the end, she could only use her compassion to help those souls pass on little by little. What Guanyin found ironic was that she was only helping the souls pass on, but the merit she gained was far more than the merit she gained when she helped the people.
Of course, Guanyin and Mo Mo were not the only ones to discover this situation. Some people with impure motives secretly instigated wars among the various lords, and then went to the battlefield after the war to exorcise the souls of those who died unjustly. During that period, Mo Mo's task was to slay and purify these evil spirits disguised as humans. However, something astonishing happened on the way. Guanyin encountered a little girl of only thirteen or fourteen years old being chased by thugs on one of her exorcisms. For some reason, Guanyin felt that she had a connection with the girl as soon as she saw her, so she took her in and made her sit down. To Mo Mo's great surprise, the girl's name was Diao Chan.
What surprised Mo Mo even more was that after Diao Chan was taken under Guanyin's wing, she actually went to Luoyang. Soon after, news came that Lü Bu and Dong Zhuo had fallen out. Mo Mo later learned that Diao Chan had used a willow leaf given to her by Guanyin to create an incarnation that looked exactly like her. She then controlled this incarnation to stage a honey trap in Luoyang, successfully sowing discord between Lü Bu and Dong Zhuo. However, she was subsequently confined by Guanyin to the Purple Bamboo Forest on Luojia Mountain.
Perhaps it was because the Journey to the West was nearing its end after the Three Kingdoms period, or perhaps it was because of some gains during this time, that Guanyin returned to Mount Luojia after the Three Kingdoms period. Mo Mo naturally had no objection to this. What surprised Mo Mo was that in the past few hundred years, Kaguya, the Wu sisters, and the little fox had all entered the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm. Kaguya, whose cultivation was the most profound, was only half a step away from stepping into the Daluo realm, which greatly amazed Guanyin.
As the saying goes, time knows no bounds in cultivation. Nearly a hundred years passed in the blink of an eye after Mo Mo and the others returned to Luojia Mountain. And if you do the math, the moment when Sun Wukong was born is not far away. After Guanyin digested the merits she had gained during this time, she finally left the Purple Bamboo Forest.
That day, Mo Mo was comfortably reclining on a deck chair, enjoying Diao Chan's massage while looking at a sword manual he had obtained from Lü Dongbin. However, Diao Chan, who was a maidservant under Guanyin, did not feel anything was wrong. On the contrary, her face was full of anticipation. This was because she had received a lot of benefits from Mo Mo during this period, and Guanyin did not care about her. So this scene could be said to happen every day.
Just then, Guanyin suddenly appeared, startling Diaochan who was thinking about something good. However, when she realized that the person was Guanyin, she breathed a sigh of relief, because Guanyin had tacitly approved of this matter. After all, Diaochan was being taught better by Mo Mo than by her personally.
Since returning, Guanyin had been staying in the Purple Bamboo Forest, so her sudden arrival surprised Mo Mo. However, judging from the time, she should have finished digesting the merits by now. But it seemed that Guanyin had something to discuss with him this time, so Mo Mo tossed the sword manual in his hand into Diao Chan's arms and said softly, "Take it. This sword manual is not bad, but your cultivation level is not high enough to fully master it, so I sealed the later parts. You can only see the later contents when your cultivation level reaches that level."
Diao Chan instinctively caught the sword manual Mo Mo tossed to her. When she realized it was Mo Mo's sword manual, she was stunned. This was a sword manual personally written by the Pure Yang Sword Immortal Lü Dongbin, which could be said to be priceless. Outside, it would be something that countless immortals and gods would fight tooth and nail for. But Mo Mo just casually threw it to her. This made her extremely happy. She had only wanted to learn a few moves from the sword manual from Mo Mo. As for what Mo Mo said afterward, she didn't hear a single word.
Guanyin couldn't help but shake her head upon seeing this. No wonder Diaochan liked to run to Mo Mo's side. She was surprised by the deep generosity of giving away such a precious sword manual so casually. However, she still had something to say to Mo Mo, so she said softly to Diaochan, "Hurry up and thank the True Lord."
Diao Chan was startled awake upon hearing this. She bowed to Mo Mo, holding the sword manual, and thanked him before running away with it. She naturally realized that Guanyin had something to say to Mo Mo. After Diao Chan left, Guanyin stared at Mo Mo for a long time, then sighed softly and said, "Wang Chen, I wish to advance to Quasi-Saint before the Stone Monkey is born. I wonder if you could lend me a hand?"

Chapter 461 Guanyin's Advancement
As the saying goes, "A single encounter between the golden wind and jade dew surpasses countless encounters in the mortal world." After uttering those words, Guanyin was no longer the Guanyin of Buddhism; she was merely a seeker of the Dao who aspired to become a Quasi-Saint. Mo Mo never expected that after so many years, just when he had almost forgotten about this matter, Guanyin would suddenly bring it up again. And this day has finally arrived. But to be honest, Mo Mo is actually quite looking forward to it.
There were no sweet words, nor were they needed. When she uttered those words, it meant that she was ready. So Mo Mo gently picked up the beautiful woman, who had shed her holy aura and was now wearing only a snow-white dress and bare feet, her gentle and tender nature, and carried her into the bamboo house.
After a rustling sound, accompanied by a soft hum, spring light filled the bamboo house. As time passed, the originally purple bamboo house gradually became tinged with a faint golden light. Then, peach blossoms on the peach trees outside the bamboo house began to fall rapidly, and tender yellow fruits quietly hung on the branches. With the rising and setting of the sun and moon, this change gradually spread throughout the entire island. Everything on the island seemed to be fast-forwarded, growing rapidly. However, this change was not endless. Just like those peach trees, once the peaches on the trees ripened, the trees stopped changing. Only the peaches on the trees became more and more crystal clear and tempting with the passage of time, making people want to pick one and take a big bite for a delicious feast.
The next day, as the golden sun rose over the sea, a new change occurred on the island. First, spiritual springs gushed forth from the ground, and everything that the spring water touched seemed to be given new life. Flowers and plants became more full of ethereal energy, swaying their branches as if cheering. Animals seemed to have been reborn, not only becoming stronger but also having their eyes full of intelligence, as if they had been awakened to wisdom.
However, this was only the beginning. As the world progressed, the spring water gushing from the spiritual spring spread to more and more places. Gradually, green shoots emerged from the connected spring water. After these green shoots appeared, they grew wildly. In just a few breaths, the entire Luojia Mountain was covered with these verdant lotuses. At the same time that the entire Luojia Mountain was surrounded by lotuses, golden light suddenly descended from the sky above Luojia Mountain. When illuminated by this golden light, the lotuses all over the mountain quickly sprouted and bloomed. In the blink of an eye, the entire Luojia Mountain was surrounded by golden lotuses. And at the same time that the golden lotuses were in full bloom, golden petals fell from the sky.
Meanwhile, inside the Purple Bamboo Forest, Diao Chan and Kaguya were completely stunned by what they were seeing. They didn't even notice that the scrolls in their hands had fallen to the ground. Among the women present, only the little black dragon remained calm, still eating the snacks on the table without a care in the world. This wasn't the first time she had seen such a scene. However, looking at the scene before her eyes, a trace of longing flashed in her eyes. "It's been so many years. Are you all doing well? I wonder how much you've improved over the years. Have you already left me far behind?"
The golden lotus swayed, and the spiritual spring gushed forth. The strange phenomena of Luojia Mountain continued for three days. By the evening of the third day, the golden lotus petals withered one by one, and golden lotus pods stood proudly. As the sun gradually set in the west, these huge lotus pods gradually bent over. When the last rays of the sun disappeared below the sea, the surrounding strange phenomena suddenly gathered towards these lotus pods and disappeared into them. After all these phenomena disappeared into the lotus pods, the lotus pods exploded with a bang. The exploded lotus pods gradually dissipated, leaving only golden lotus seeds lying quietly in every corner of Luojia Mountain.
Such a strange phenomenon occurring on Mount Luojia could not be hidden from the eyes of all the gods and Buddhas in Heaven. Their reactions to this phenomenon varied. The Buddhist sect was overjoyed upon hearing the news, while the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother of Heaven frowned. Of course, many people were amazed, but most of the immortals and gods were bewildered and had no idea what had happened. Without exception, these immortals and gods were either rogue immortals or newly ascended minor immortals, and only they would not know what such a strange phenomenon meant.
It wasn't until the morning of the fourth day that Mo Mo emerged from the bamboo house, feeling refreshed. Without a doubt, this strange phenomenon was caused by him and Guanyin. To be more precise, it was caused by Guanyin's ascension to Quasi-Saint status. This phenomenon was practically a standard feature of Quasi-Saint advancement, so news of Guanyin's advancement had already spread throughout the Three Realms in just a few days. This news also stirred up waves in the Three Realms, which had been peaceful for a long time. However, these matters were temporarily irrelevant to Mo Mo and his companion.
Mo Mo was lying comfortably on a recliner under a peach tree. A small table next to the recliner was filled with various fruits, the most attractive of which were a plate of crystal-clear peaches and a small dish of golden lotus seeds. Mo Mo was quite satisfied with the powerful divine energy flowing slowly through his body. He had received a rich reward for his hard work. The source of the Black Dragon Quasi-Immortal Emperor in his body had shrunk by a large margin, now only the size of a grain of rice. His cultivation had also successfully advanced to the late stage of True Immortal, which was also the late stage of Quasi-Saint in the Primordial Realm (a Quasi-Saint who had severed his three corpses, only one step away from becoming a Saint through the Righteous Path). Guanyin had also successfully advanced to Quasi-Saint and severed her benevolent corpse. She was currently in the house consolidating her realm and familiarizing herself with the power within her body.
As the sun set and the moon rose, three days passed in the blink of an eye. Today, three days later, Guanyin finally emerged from her hut. She had initially consolidated her cultivation, but it would probably take some time before she could fully familiarize herself with her newly acquired power. Therefore, after Guanyin came out, she nodded to Mo Mo and returned to her Purple Bamboo Forest. To fully consolidate and familiarize herself with this surge of power, she would still need to spend a considerable amount of time. Thus, Guanyin returned to the Purple Bamboo Forest, and after Guanyin went back, Little Black Dragon and the others were driven out of the Purple Bamboo Forest.
After leaving the Purple Bamboo Forest, the little foxes were very curious about this matter. They didn't understand how Guanyin had suddenly advanced to the level of a Quasi-Saint, so they all pressed Mo Mo for answers. However, this concerned Guanyin's reputation, and he dared not tell them without Guanyin's permission. However, Huiye and the others had been following Mo Mo for quite some time, and after observing Mo Mo's expression and recalling Guanyin's changes and their own experiences, they had already made some guesses. Only Diaochan was still completely confused.
During Guanyin's seclusion, Mo Mo didn't have much to do, so he remembered the mountain of golden lotus seeds and the peaches hanging from the branches. He and Huiye spent three days picking all the peaches off the trees in the orchard, except for the few that were reserved for fresh fruit. Under Mo Mo's direction, most of the peaches were made into fruit wine, while a small portion was made into candied fruit or other preserves. The lotus seeds were considered Guanyin's property, so Mo Mo only took a little and sealed the rest away, intending to give them to Guanyin when she emerged from seclusion.

Chapter 462 Cohabitation
It is said that time has no limits in cultivation, and this is indeed true. Guanyin's seclusion lasted for ten years. During this time, Mo Mo's peach grove turned pink again. In these ten years, Mo Mo saw off no fewer than ten groups of immortals and gods who wanted to visit Guanyin. Among these immortals and gods were even powerful beings at the quasi-saint level. Today, Mo Mo was teaching Diao Chan cultivation while drinking wine made from the peaches from that year, just like usual. Such days were quite pleasant.
Just then, light footsteps suddenly came from the peach grove. Mo Mo thought it was the little black dragon and the others, so he ignored it and continued to look down at the cultivation manual in his hand, thinking about how to teach Diao Chan to quickly master these things. Diao Chan should be glad that she was a girl, otherwise today's teaching method would be completely different. She would be able to experience what it means to teach by example and what it means to be unforgettable.
However, at that moment, Mo Mo's vision went dark, and then a somewhat familiar yet unfamiliar fragrance wafted into his nostrils, making him feel refreshed. When he looked up, the first thing that caught his eye was a slender waist wrapped in a snow-white dress, then the breasts covered by the dress, and finally a charming face that seemed to be both angry and smiling.
"Oh, Guanyin, you've come out of seclusion?" Upon seeing her delicate and pretty face, Mo Mo was taken aback at first, then greeted her with a smile.
“Fellow Daoist Wangchen, you have mistaken me for someone else. I am not Guanyin. My name is Yichen. This is Guanyin.” Yichen smiled slightly at Mo Mo. Then Mo Mo saw bursts of light rise from Yichen’s body, and then a woman who looked exactly like her walked out from her body.
The woman was dressed in white and barefoot, with a deep expression of compassion on her face. In her hand, she held a crystal-clear white jade pendant, into which was inserted a crystal-clear green willow branch. As soon as she walked out, bursts of holy light rose from her body, and a huge golden wheel of merit appeared behind her head.
"Fellow Daoist Wangchen, I have missed Guanyin dearly since we last met. How about we discuss the Dao today?" The woman smiled sweetly after speaking. Her appearance and attire were exactly the same as Guanyin's in the past. This was the benevolent corpse that Guanyin had created with the Jade Purification Technique after she ascended to the Quasi-Saint level.
Mo Mo was taken aback at first, then stood up, cupped his hands to the two of them, and said with a smile, "Fellow Daoist Yi Chen, please forgive me. However, you really look too much like Guanyin, so it's no wonder I mistook you for someone else. Wang Chen, please forgive me for drinking a cup of wine as punishment." After saying that, Mo Mo picked up the small wine jar on the table and tilted his head back to gulp down a large mouthful of wine.
Seeing this, Yi Chen smiled and nodded, indicating that she accepted Mo Mo's apology. Then, without any hesitation, she reached out and picked up the small wine jar that Mo Mo had just put down. She brought her pretty nose close to it and took a light sniff. Her eyes lit up, and she imitated Mo Mo by tilting her head back and taking a big gulp of wine. However, perhaps because she drank too fast, her face turned red from coughing after putting down the wine jar, but she looked even more charming and lovely.
After Yichen calmed down, Guanyin said, "I wonder what fellow Daoists Yichen and Wangchen think of my suggestion?"
"Good!" Mo Mo and Yi Chen answered in unison. Then the three of them sat down. Soon after, golden lotuses sprang from the ground and flowers rained down from the sky in the peach grove. Not long after the phenomenon appeared, the little black dragon and Diao Chan arrived at the peach grove and sat down cross-legged to listen to the sounds of the Dao. Although it was called a discussion of the Dao, only Mo Mo spoke from beginning to end. The others just listened. At most, Yi Chen would occasionally ask Mo Mo a few questions.
The sermon was short-lived; Mo Mo stopped as the sun began to set. After a long while, Guanyin and the others opened their eyes and looked at Mo Mo with expressions of lingering interest. However, they did not ask Mo Mo to continue, but instead discussed the matter amongst themselves.
As the sun set and only a sliver of light remained on the horizon, Yi Chen and Guanyin led Diao Chan back to the Purple Bamboo Forest. The little fox, watching the three figures disappear, asked Mo Mo with some confusion, "Brother Mo, aren't Sister Guanyin and Sister Yi Chen the same person? Why do they have two names? And why do they pretend to be two different people?"
Hearing the little fox's words, Mo Mo smiled slightly, stroked the little fox's head affectionately, and said softly, "Of course they are the same person, but she cannot allow them to be the same person because she has already broken the precepts. However, Guanyin is the Guanyin of Buddhism, and she represents the face of Buddhism to a certain extent, so she cannot break the precepts. Therefore, Yi Chen came into being, and there must be Yi Chen because Yi Chen is not a member of Buddhism, so naturally she does not have to abide by the rules and regulations of Buddhism. Therefore, everything she did before is naturally not considered a violation of the precepts."
"Oh," the little fox nodded, seemingly understanding, while the little black dragon and the others understood what Mo Mo meant. To put it simply, Guanyin had two identities. Because of the desire for her identity, the Guanyin Bodhisattva who saves people from suffering must continue to exist. However, she had already broken her vows and was practicing Yin-Yang dual cultivation with Mo Mo. Therefore, after severing her good corpse, she let the good corpse inherit Guanyin's identity, while her true self remained hidden behind the scenes. Because of the characteristics of the good corpse, it could be regarded as an independent individual. Therefore, as Yichen, she had broken free from the shackles of Buddhism.
Such practices are very popular at the level of Quasi-Saints and above. For example, Laozi is one of the three corpses that the Supreme Lord Laozi, the head of the Three Pure Ones, cut off. Another example is Bodhi Patriarch, who taught Sun Wukong in Journey to the West, who is also an incarnation of one of the two saints in the West. So even though people with eyes can see that this is you, they will not expose you. Moreover, human relationships and karma will mostly not involve the original body.
Of course, the little black dragons didn't know this. After Guanyin and the others left, Mo Mo returned to his small world and took out a lot of ingredients to cook a sumptuous meal for them. However, just as Mo Mo put the food on the table, Yi Chen stood prettily at the door with her hands behind her back. When she saw that Mo Mo had filled the entire table with food, her eyes lit up. She walked in without any politeness and took his seat. However, she still left a seat for Mo Mo, so the two sat down next to each other.
The meal was very enjoyable, especially for Yi Chen, who had never tasted such delicious food before. The little black dragon was also quite happy, and while happily eating the delicacies on the table, she would occasionally take out her phone to take a couple of pictures of Mo Mo and Yi Chen, while secretly plotting what she could extort from Mo Mo. Mo Mo, on the other hand, was exasperated. This brat was really unruly; it seemed he needed to teach her a lesson, otherwise his authority as the head of the family would be completely lost. However, it seemed he had never had such a thing before, but he still had to teach this little girl a lesson, otherwise all she did was eat, and she was almost turning into a fat girl.
Little Black Dragon had no idea that Mo Mo was planning to teach her a lesson like this, but even if she did, she wasn't afraid. Could Mo Mo eat her? So, in this joyful atmosphere, everyone ate until their bellies were round.
However, after they had eaten and drunk their fill, Yi Chen's next move surprised Mo Mo quite a bit, because Yi Chen followed him back to his room and told him that she would be living there from now on.

Chapter 464 Advantages and Disadvantages
In mythology, immortals are said to be able to fly through the sky and disappear into the earth, and to be omnipotent. Moreover, they are said to be detached from worldly food. However, this is not the case. They simply rarely taste human food. In addition, immortals and gods cannot descend to the mortal world at will, which is why there is a misunderstanding that immortals and gods are detached from worldly food.
However, they did not really like mortal food, because mortal food had too little spiritual energy, so it was not very useful to eat. Moreover, it was not as delicious as the food in the celestial realm, which contained abundant spiritual energy. In addition, immortals and gods could replenish their own energy by absorbing spiritual energy from the outside world, so even immortals and gods rarely ate in their rooms.
However, they don't truly abstain from mortal food. On the contrary, they are quite happy to descend to the mortal realm from time to time to taste human delicacies. Because they possess long lifespans, many things become meaningless. Therefore, their pursuit of food is more fervent than that of mortals. This is why immortals and gods descend to the mortal realm from time to time. However, they don't descend to the mortal realm to truly taste human food, but rather to learn how to cook it. As a powerful being, Yi Chen has naturally tasted many delicacies, but none of the delicacies she has tasted before can compare to Mo Mo's.
When she arrived at the restaurant, she found that Mo Mo had just set all the food on the table, and Xiao Heilong and the others were already seated at the table. What surprised Yi Chen the most was that Diao Chan was also there, and judging from her practiced movements, this was obviously not the first time. Mo Mo and the others at the table naturally noticed her as well. Since Xiao Heilong and the others returned to the small world at night, they did not know about what happened last night, so they were a little surprised to see Yi Chen at first, but then they greeted her and invited her to come and have breakfast together.
Breakfast was simple, consisting of a large bowl of steaming hot meat porridge and a few boiled crystal eggs. However, the rich spiritual energy emanating from these foods indicated that they were definitely not ordinary, and indeed they were.
The millet used to cook the meat porridge is a spirit rice carefully selected and bred by Mo Mo. He then created an environment in the small world that is most suitable for the growth of the spirit rice. Each paddy field has a fairy spring that provides water specifically for these spirit rice fields. The meat is taken from the spine of a dragon, and the soup used to cook the porridge is a white and clear soup made from dragon bones.
If this meat porridge is so extraordinary, then the crystal egg must be extraordinary as well. This egg is produced by the Phoenix-tailed Chicken, which has the bloodline of a phoenix. The whole egg is light blue, the shell is crystal clear, and there are white dots on it, making it look like a vast starry sky.
This dish looked delicious, and since it was made by Mo Mo, the taste was naturally excellent. In just a short while, the bowl of porridge on the table was empty, and the crystal-clear eggs were reduced to just a few shells.
Perhaps freed from the constraints of their identities, Yi Chen became more lively. After breakfast, they addressed each other as sisters and left Mo Mo behind to go out and play. Diao Chan, however, stayed behind to learn the Seventy-Two Transformations from Mo Mo.
The Seventy-Two Transformations is not easy to learn, and to learn it, one must have a certain understanding of nature. Although Luojia Mountain is not small, there are not many living beings on the island, but there are quite a lot of plants. So Mo Mo asked Diao Chan to observe the shapes and characteristics of the plants on the island. Only by understanding these things can one truly begin to learn the Seventy-Two Transformations. Only in this way can one transform into things that are indistinguishable from the real thing, instead of becoming a strange hybrid that can be easily identified with a little attention.
After sending Diao Chan to observe the plants on the island, Mo Mo lay back down on the recliner under the peach tree. Just as he sat down, Guanyin came to visit, and her purpose was simple: to discuss the Dao. However, even though it was supposed to be a discussion, in the end it would definitely be Mo Mo giving her a private lecture. But Mo Mo did not refuse.
This is where the benefits of the Primordial Era's practice of severing the corpse to attain enlightenment become apparent. Although the avatars they create are connected to their original bodies in terms of mind, memory, and senses, what's even more amazing is that they also possess a certain degree of autonomy. In other words, they don't need the main body to control them, so they can do two things at the same time without any interference. Therefore, once they sever their corpses, it's as if they have an extra person cultivating.
However, this method also has a drawback: it causes a dispersion of power. Since severing a corpse is equivalent to cutting off a part of the body and soul from their body, it will weaken the main body to a certain extent. Although it can be replenished afterward, it will still take some time. Moreover, once the part is severed, it cannot be integrated with the main body. To be able to merge and separate the incarnation at will is something that can only be done after becoming a saint. During this period, their overall power remains unchanged. In other words, within the same realm, the power they possess is roughly the same. Of course, this refers to the peak value. As everyone knows, there will always be some freaks and abnormalities in this world who will break the norm, so there are some special cases that cannot be classified in the same way.
Mo Mo's cultivation method does not involve the concept of "severing the corpse," so he doesn't have any avatars at all. However, with his cultivation level, creating several avatars is as easy as playing around. But these avatars have little combat power, probably less than one ten-thousandth of his main body's combat power, unlike the avatars of the "severing the corpse" method, which can reach nearly seventy percent of the main body's strength.
Unexpectedly, Guanyin took the initiative to ask Mo Mo to stop the sermon around noon. After stopping, Guanyin looked at Mo Mo's face and pondered for a long time before speaking, "Fellow Daoist Wangchen, I will be giving a sermon in the Purple Bamboo Forest in three months. I wonder if you would be willing to come up on stage and help me?"
"Since Guanyin has spoken, how can I not help? But I wonder what kind of people will come?" Mo Mo readily agreed. After all, they had such a relationship, how could he not help someone who asked for his help? Besides, he lived not far away, just a few steps away, and preaching was free. He was just sharing his understanding of the Tao, which would only take a little time.
