Chapitre 48

"Using formulas is harder than using tricks."

"..." Su Jinning's face darkened.

Shen Moyu turned her face away and chuckled quietly.

Su Jinning: The deepest path I've ever walked is nothing more than Shen Moyu's schemes.

Chapter 19 Chicken Legs Aren't Tasty?

During the lunch break, the sky became a bit overcast, and the temperature dropped accordingly, but it wasn't cold, which was a good thing for the sports meet. We were waiting for a breeze, so it wouldn't be too hot during the competition.

"Brother Ning, what are we having for lunch?" Chen Hang asked, wiping the sweat from his forehead, repeating his daily question.

Su Jinning looked down at his phone and casually replied, "Anything is fine." Actually, what he meant by "anything is fine" was simply that he didn't want fried food, food that was too spicy or too salty, food that wasn't too bland, food that wasn't too expensive or too cheap, food that wasn't too complicated, and food that wasn't too simple... that's all.

This left Chen Hang speechless. He scratched his head and said, "How about noodles then?"

"I won't eat."

Grilled meat bibimbap

"I won't eat."

"Liangpi (cold skin noodles)".

"I won't eat."

Chen Hang was speechless: "Brother Ning, is this all you're going to do?"

Su Jinning was still scrolling through her phone when she replied, "Anything but these is fine."

"..." Chen Hang pouted.

When the air was quiet, Shen Moyu walked past the two of them, and Chen Hang grabbed him as if he had met a savior: "Hey, top student, where are we going for lunch?"

"Go to the cafeteria," Shen Moyu replied after a moment of surprise.

“Let’s go to the cafeteria too.” Su Jinning put away her phone and then met Shen Moyu’s gaze.

As Shen Moyu watched him lead the way toward the cafeteria, he couldn't help but think, "Isn't this guy the kind of person who never comes to the cafeteria except when it's raining or thundering?"

I ate quite a lot at the cafeteria because it's the sports meet, and I heard they're making delicious food. The cafeteria, which used to be unpopular, has become a hot spot.

The three of them lined up one after the other. The cool weather did not affect the temperature in the cafeteria. The noise and the crowded people made Shen Moyu feel stuffy and annoyed.

What do you want to eat?

While Shen Moyu was in a daze, a familiar voice came from behind him. It seemed to be very close to him, and his voice was the most prominent in the noise.

Su Jinning looked down at him slightly, wanting him to hear clearly, and unconsciously moved a little closer.

"Ah..." Shen Moyu was stunned for a moment. He felt Su Jinning's breathing stirring his hair.

"I'm fine with anything, let's talk about it when it's our turn." Shen Moyu took a step forward.

Su Jinning didn't say anything more, and started scrolling through her phone again.

The cafeteria did indeed serve delicious food, including chicken legs and fried skewers. After more than a year of vegetarianism, the cafeteria finally had meat again.

There were many people, but very little good food. By the time the second-year students arrived, the food had been snatched up by the first-year students, leaving only a chicken leg on Su Jinning's plate.

Chen Hang looked at the two empty basins and complained, "What kind of school treats the second and third year students like dirt? Seriously, is this all they prepared? And what's more!"

He emphasized the last two words, speaking loudly as if he wanted the cafeteria lady to hear: "Why does Brother Ning get a chicken leg? Do the cafeteria ladies judge people by their looks too?!"

Shen Moyu didn't seem to care, and with a smile, he pulled out the plate and said, "Who told you all to squeeze into the cafeteria?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Hang regretted it: "Brother Ning, it's one thing for you to make me suffer in the cafeteria! But you, you, you! You betrayed the gang and ate all by yourself." His tone was comical, like a male protagonist betrayed in a martial arts drama.

"Hiss, do you want some?"

"eat."

The three of them searched for a long time before finding an empty seat. Chen Hang rushed to the seat like a mad dog, saying that he didn't like the food here, but he ate it more deliciously than anyone else.

Shen Moyu sat down next to Su Jinning and quietly picked up his chopsticks to put potato chips in his mouth.

The potato slices weren't cooked properly; they were a bit raw, and he even made a "crunching" sound when he ate them.

"Hmm!" Shen Moyu clearly felt sand stuck in his teeth. He had bitten too hard, and the sand was causing him to feel a sharp pain in his nerves.

"What's wrong?" Su Jinning asked hurriedly as she picked up a piece of food to eat.

"It's nothing, just sand..." Shen Moyu spat out the sand, saying with some disgust.

He looked at the food he had barely touched. It was a pity, but not only were the potatoes undercooked, but the rice also contained sand and was very hard, indicating it was no longer fresh. It was probably because of the sports meet today, and the cafeteria had reheated yesterday's leftovers for the students.

He frowned, subconsciously pushing the plate to the side, his appetite gone.

"You can't skip this." Su Jinning's voice rang out again: "We'll be out all afternoon, and there are activities tonight." He was reminding Shen Moyu that he would be very busy in the afternoon and that he should eat more.

He gave Shen Moyu these instructions, but he didn't eat any himself.

Shen Moyu picked up his chopsticks and stirred the food. He had a vague feeling that there might still be strands of hair in it...
