Chapitre 124

He wanted to catch up with Shen Moyu, not let Shen Moyu unilaterally hold him back. They wanted to join hands and walk together into each other's future.

"Then, why not try to make it happen?" Shen Moyu stared at him.

"I don't know how to achieve it, I can't see the way..." His voice was weak, and in the end he couldn't even hear himself.

He couldn't see the road, because among all the lights in the houses, not one was for him, and among the long line of pedestrians, not a single person would give him a push.

"I can't see it either."

Shen Moyu's words struck a chord with Su Jinning.

“But I’m figuring out the way.” Shen Moyu rested his chin on his hand, his smile deepening, so much so that Su Jinning couldn’t understand it.

"Want to give it a try?" Shen Moyu placed his hand on Su Jinning's shoulder. Want to try walking forward with him?

On my shoulder, there was that warmth that even the cold wind couldn't dispel...

Su Jinning met his eyes, those burning gazes filled with tenderness, like a clear spring in a vast desert, like a universe containing a sky full of stars. He gazed at them, gazing into those clear, pure eyes, and was even a little afraid that his own face would be reflected in them.

"Give it a try?" Su Jinning hesitated, also having some doubts.

Shen Moyu asked softly, "Would you like to try doing it with me?"

Join me in searching for the light, and as we walk the unknown path ahead.

Su Jinning rubbed her fingers together: "And then?"

Shen Moyu suddenly laughed: "Didn't you want to apply to Fudan University? As long as you want, I'll stay with you for the next four years of college."

Su Jinning suddenly stood up. He no longer dared to look into those eyes that held so much emotion, and his heart began to race with panic: "I'm going to the restroom."

"Why are you running?" Shen Moyu grabbed his sleeve, his voice hard yet pleading, halting Su Jinning's steps.

Su Jinning faced the window, where the bright glass reflected the figure of Shen Moyu, who had slightly risen and was grabbing his sleeve.

He closed his eyes, but remained where he was.

Shen Moyu gently squeezed Su Jinning's wrist: "Brother Ning, can you be yourself again? Just do it for me."

Su Jinning had lost count of how many times his words had touched her heartstrings, but each time, she just stood there, letting him throw a tantrum.

"Do you remember the wishes we made to each other at my house before?" After a moment of silence, Shen Moyu spoke softly.

Su Jinning still had her back to him, looking at his figure in the window: "Yes, I remember."

Shen Moyu slid his hand down, stopping precisely on the back of Su Jinning's hand. He tried to get Su Jinning closer to him: "You said you wanted me to step out of this black and white world, and I did."

"Hmm," Su Jinning replied in a muffled voice.

"You also said back then that you hoped I would be happy." Shen Moyu paused, then smiled, her voice clear: "So I hope you can help me achieve my simplest happiness right now."

"What?"

"Grab me."

The three large characters swept past Su Jinning's eyes following Shen Moyu's resolute yet gentle gaze.

He suddenly shuddered. As if he'd been electrocuted, he quickly shook off his hand and rushed into the bathroom.

The tap was running, but the sound of the water did not calm Su Jinning down.

He rubbed his face vigorously twice and looked at himself in the mirror.

A bitter feeling welled up inside him. It had been so long since anyone had said such a thing to him that he had forgotten how to respond.

After being cooped up in my own world for so long, I've actually become a little afraid of the light outside.

He really liked Shen Moyu and wanted to be a part of his future. But alas, he only had a heavy heart, which wasn't enough for him.

Shen Moyu's words kept replaying in his mind, carrying a weight that no one could measure.

He said, gripping his wrist.

"As long as you want, I'll stay with you for the next four years."

I pushed open the door; the ward was completely silent. Everything that had just happened felt like a brief dream after a deep sleep.

He tiptoed over, looked at Shen Moyu sleeping soundly on the bed, and sighed heavily.

My mind was racing with random thoughts, but I already had fragmented answers in my heart.

It's like it's waiting to be pieced together.

"Brother Ning." Shen Moyu's soft, gentle voice made Su Jinning stop in her tracks as she got up to leave.

He turned around helplessly: "You're not asleep."

Shen Moyu said softly, "I haven't finished speaking."

Su Jinning stepped forward and tucked the blanket around Shen Moyu, looking even more helpless: "Go ahead and tell me."

"I've told you all this today, not to discuss anything with you." He raised his voice slightly: "I'm just letting you know that after the midterm exams, you'll be joining Class A with me."

Su Jinning was facing him, and this time, he didn't rush to turn around.

The clouds have parted a bit, and tonight will be a clear night. Moonlight shines through the large area that was obscured.

Under the moonlight, Shen Moyu said to him.

"This time, you're coming with me."

Moonlight always appears in the silent darkness, yet it is more enchanting than sunlight.
