Chapitre 204

Su Jinning grinned, clearly having been hit quite hard, and while covering her mouth, she gave him the middle finger: "You really have no childlike fun."

Shen Moyu was stunned for a moment, then laughed in exasperation: "Are you fucking childish?"

Su Jinning thought it was because he was unsociable, so she deliberately moved a few steps away from him and looked up, like a naughty child who never learned his lesson.

"You like eating snow, right?" Shen Moyu looked around, grabbed a layer of snow from the artificial hill by the door, and slapped it into Su Jinning's mouth without saying a word.

"Holy crap...cough cough cough!" Su Jinning's mouth was stuffed full of icy snow, and she coughed violently with her head down, but Shen Moyu was already laughing like crazy next to her.

"Don't you fucking love eating snow? It's not too much to ask your boyfriend to help you out, is it?" Shen Moyu laughed so hard he bent over, his nose turning red.

"Not excessive." Su Jinning spat, looking at him with a forced smile, then suddenly grabbed a handful of snow: "This is fucking romantic." Saying that, she threw it directly at him.

"Your mother's Su Jinning."

The two of them played around for a long time, but although it was snowing heavily, there wasn't much snow in the yard, so playing wasn't very interesting. After thinking it over, Su Jinning went upstairs to his father's room and stole his motorcycle keys.

"Come on, come on, I'll take you to a fun place." He opened the garage door and haphazardly wiped the dusty motorcycle.

Shen Moyu rubbed her cold fingers together and looked him up and down: "Aren't you afraid your uncle will find out?"

Su Jinning laughed, his breath lingering in the air and blurring his cheeks: "Actually, he can't control me. I can ride this motorcycle anytime, I just don't want to make him angry."

As the motorcycle started, Shen Moyu chuckled. What he said made sense; he knew exactly where the key was, and if he wanted to drive it, if he wanted to go crazy, who could stop him?

Rebellion is instinctive; at this age, they are free even under supervision.

In mid-December, it snowed in Shanghai. The world was covered in silver, and two people rode their motorcycle through the swirling snowflakes, quickly crushing the thin layer of snow on the roadside. Their figures never stopped, leaving only mottled tire tracks, which were soon covered by snowflakes again.

Even with a helmet on, the wind still whistled past her ears. Su Jinning lowered her body and suddenly shouted, "Hold on tight! I'm going to show you something thrilling!"

The wind was already strong, and with a helmet on, Shen Moyu didn't quite hear what was happening. When he came to his senses, he was suddenly forced to bend over by a sudden impact, his hands instinctively tightening around Su Jinning's waist. The oncoming north wind was completely blocked by Su Jinning's body. The sudden acceleration made Shen Moyu's heart race, and he couldn't help but close his eyes and press himself tightly against Su Jinning's back.

Perhaps he was holding on too tightly, because Su Jinning was amused by his fear: "Don't be afraid, trust me, this feels amazing!"

Shen Moyu was terrified, squeezing her eyes shut: "Are you fucking crazy?! Slow down!"

To everyone's surprise, Su Jinning didn't listen at all, and instead laughed loudly: "Whoa!!"

Su Jinning's cheerful voice echoed through the deserted street; at that moment, even the wind could not keep up with her speed.

(Do not imitate dangerous actions, because you don't have the protagonist's halo.)

Shen Moyu could hear his own heartbeat clearly through his helmet, and his fear turned to rage: "Fuck your mother! Su Jinning!"

"What? You say you love me?" Su Jinning suddenly raised a hand to her mouth: "I love Shen Moyu too!!"

Shen Moyu was stunned, then suddenly laughed: "Why are you so annoying!"

"I know I'm a heartthrob, so I'll keep a low profile!"

"Get lost!"

Shen Moyu finally let go of her reservations and immersed herself in the extreme speed and excitement, going wild with him.

The fluttering snowflakes landed on my shoulders and quickly melted. They seemed to exist solely to melt into the earth. Though those brief few dozen seconds were short, there was no regret, for melting into the warmth of what one loves is a kind of immortality.

After driving for an unknown amount of time, the car stopped at the seaside. The two of them were so cold they were almost numb, but they still had smiles on their faces.

"You're taking me to see the sea in the dead of winter?" Shen Moyu rubbed her hands together, feeling that her boyfriend was incredibly silly.

Su Jinning sniffed sheepishly and chuckled, "I've never seen what the sea looks like when it's snowing. I want to see it."

The winter sky is gray and white, but the sea is blue, as if it stole the blue of the sky and quietly froze, secretly sealing away this azure.

Looking at his childlike, eager eyes, Shen Moyu said with a touch of arrogance, "Alright, I'll take a quick look with you."

Before he could finish speaking, Su Jinning suddenly grabbed a snowflake and threw it at him, stopping Shen Moyu in his tracks, but his anger burned fiercely within him.

"Su Jinning, you've got some nerve, haven't you?"

The snow showed no sign of stopping; instead, it fell heavier and heavier. The two of them laughed wildly for a long time until their faces were stiff from laughing and their down jackets were rustling from the cold. Then they collapsed into the snow. Large snowflakes fell down, and they closed their eyes, feeling cold but happy.

"The last time I saw snow was when I was in my third year of junior high school." Su Jinning looked at the swirling snowflakes in the air, feeling a chill as they melted on her face. "The year my mother passed away."

Shen Moyu opened his eyes and suddenly felt that not only his body was frozen, but also his heart.

He always understood. This incident left a very deep wound in Su Jinning's heart, and even after it scabbed over, it still looked ugly.

That year wasn't called 2017, nor was it simply "that year." It had a crueler name: "The Year My Mother Passed Away."

"Is the wind getting stronger again?" Su Jinning whispered.

"Hmm." Shen Moyu's nose brushed against the collar of his down jacket. He shrank back inside and mumbled, "The wind at the beach is always so strong."

"I wonder... if my mom is cold."

It turns out that Su Jinning didn't come to see the sea in winter, but rather missed her mother terribly.

For a moment, Shen Moyu hated himself for not realizing it sooner. His heart ached terribly. He suddenly stood up from the ground and walked to the beach under Su Jinning's dazed gaze, looking up at the hazy white sea.

"Auntie, Happy New Year!" He smiled, his face flushed. "I know it might be a bit early, but I don't think I'll be able to come anytime soon, so I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year in advance."

Su Jinning stood behind him and couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't worry, Su Jinning is doing very well now, and so is your uncle." Shen Moyu smiled gently, like a rare warm sun in winter: "Your son is exceptionally outstanding now, ranking in the top ten of his grade, and in the teens in the whole city. He has made tremendous progress. He said he wants to go to Fudan University. He has never forgotten your wishes, and he has always loved you. So please rest assured, I will definitely take good care of him and will not let you down."

"But it's all thanks to my boyfriend. I've gotten to where I am today." Su Jinning smiled, his eyes sparkling with love. "Sometimes I wonder if it's because I've suffered so much these past few years that you felt sorry for me and sent this angel to be by my side. Mom, didn't you say you've always been there for me?" The wind picked up, reddening his eyes. "Then you must be able to see how much we love each other."

The sea breeze whipped up a thin layer of snow, which rippled across the ice.
