Chapitre 253

Su Jinning didn't want to move at all. She wrapped her arms around Shen Moyu's waist, buried her face in his chest, and said aggrievedly, "I'm too tired. Can we quit our jobs?"

Shen Moyu wanted to say no, but then she noticed the bandages lying haphazardly on Su Jinning's hand.

Forget it, he's been working with me anyway, and besides, he doesn't really need the money, so why drag him down with me?

"Okay, I'll tell the boss's wife tomorrow morning, and you can come back after you collect your wages." Shen Moyu patted his hair.

"What? You're not quitting your job?"

Shen Moyu shook her head. "I don't want to. I can work for another two months. I can earn a lot of money."

Su Jinning couldn't take it anymore. She sat up and pulled him into her arms: "I understand you don't want your dad's money, but why do you have to work a summer job during this perfectly good holiday? If you need money, just tell me. I can support you now. Why bother working? Look at your hands, look what they've become!"

Shen Moyu was used to this kind of work and picked it up quickly. He also taught Su Jinning a lot during this time. Knowing that Su Jinning was a clean freak, he took on the dishwashing job himself and let him take charge of the clean work. But his hands were soaked in water every day, and over time they became peeling.

Su Jinning carefully rubbed the object in his hands. "I don't want to see you do that kind of work anymore..." He lowered his head and kissed Shen Moyu's eyes. "I can take care of you from now on. Okay?"

He never wanted to see Shen Moyu do such rough work again. He had truly experienced what hardship meant. While wondering how Shen Moyu had managed all those years, he secretly vowed that in the future, he would definitely provide Shen Moyu with sufficient living conditions and happiness.

“I know you feel sorry for me.” Shen Moyu patted his hand. “I also know you are capable of supporting me. But I can’t always rely on you. With this money I’ve earned, we’ll have a bigger budget and can go wherever we want. We’re just killing time anyway, so why not treat it as a chance to experience life with you?”

Su Jinning rolled her eyes: "There are so many ways to experience life, do you have to be exhausted every day?"

He held Shen Moyu's wrinkled hand and gently massaged it. Shen Moyu patted his head and said as if coaxing a child, "How about this, we'll work for a month, and after a month, we'll use this money to go to Disneyland, okay?"

Su Jinning's eyes lit up instantly: "Really?"

"Of course it's true." Shen Moyu leaned against him. "Haven't you always wanted to go? I'm afraid I won't have time after university. With the remaining money, can we prepare some accommodation supplies?"

"Great!" Su Jinning suddenly felt fully revitalized.

——

Summer is peak season, and the two of them waited in line for almost an hour to get into the park. In the 30-degree weather, just getting in had already taken a lot of their energy, and they were sweating profusely in no time. They sat under a tree to rest for a while, holding the map and pondering for a long time what to do.

The park was crowded with people, and laughter and music filled the air. The most attractive feature was the towering princess castle in the distance. The various attractions and buildings were dazzling, making it feel like you had truly stepped into a fairytale world.

"So what do you want to play?" Shen Moyu asked.

"I don't know, maybe the pirate ship? My mom took me here once when I was little, but I can't remember where it is." Su Jinning scratched her head.

Shen Moyu was speechless, unable to quell his resentment: "Can't you be a little more reliable?"

Su Jinning chuckled: "Let's take it one step at a time."

He has never been a planner; he always prefers to act spontaneously, even when going out.

After running around like crazy and doing almost everything they wanted to do, Shen Moyu was exhausted from running with him and couldn't help but complain about this guy's stamina. Was he made of iron? He was like a brat, going on and on like a madman.

"Hey, top student, wanna try the dwarf roller coaster?" Su Jinning raised an eyebrow at the roller coaster that was emitting screams.

Shen Moyu didn't dare to breathe loudly and quickly waved his hand to back away.

"Give it a try, give it a try!" Su Jinning grabbed Shen Moyu and pulled him into her arms before he could react.

Shen Moyu has been afraid of large and thrilling amusement park rides since she was a child. Seeing others ride them and scream makes her heart tremble.

"Su Jinning, we're here to have fun, not to risk our lives," he said earnestly.

Su Jinning clicked her tongue, seemingly quite dissatisfied: "If you're going to play, you have to play big! Come on, come on! If you're scared, just grab me! Don't worry, I'm here."

He puffed out his chest proudly, still wearing the Mickey Mouse hair clip I'd just bought him, looking rather silly. Shen Moyu couldn't help but laugh, and the next second he was led to the ticket area.

Having just boarded the roller coaster, Su Jinning looked at the flat tracks ahead and curled her lip in disdain: "Eh, that's it? It's not that exciting. What were those girls yelling about?"

Shen Moyu swallowed hard, gripping the seatbelt tightly: "I feel... it's not that simple."

Su Jinning was as arrogant as if he owned Disneyland: "Don't worry, if you're scared, just come over here."

Shen Moyu suddenly felt that he was a bit unreliable, but still nodded.

It was quite gentle at first, and we even went into a particularly cute tunnel filled with sculptures of dwarfs and various colored lights, which was very soothing to look at.

Su Jinning suddenly felt like she was losing money: "This is like playing house..."

Before she could finish speaking, a rapid descent occurred, and a violent gust of wind blocked Su Jinning's mouth. The next second, she cried out, "Ahhh! Holy crap! Holy crap, weren't you prepared? Holy crap, ahhhh!"

The two little girls in front hadn't intended to shout, but he startled them, and then they started yelling in unison, as if they were having a contest to see who could shout the loudest. A five-year-old girl in front calmly glanced back, then turned and tugged at her mother's clothes: "Mommy, what's wrong with the boy in the back?"

"He's an idiot, baby. Handsome guys are all bad at brains."

"profound."

Shen Moyu immediately lowered her head: "I really don't know him."

Su Jinning kept leaning towards Shen Moyu, catching her breath on flat sections of the track, but starting to yell whenever they reached the lower or upper tracks, often startling the two girls in front of her.

Then they all started shouting together.

Su Jinning was wearing a mask when he came down. He said he didn't want to change planets to live on yet.

Shen Moyu gave a cold laugh: "I think so."

He vowed never to ride roller coasters with him again.

At noon, Su Jinning took him to see the floats. He really liked them and waved with all his might when he saw them, almost bumping into the little girl next to him.

Perhaps realizing he was a simpleton, the person waved to him.

“You really look like a five-year-old, no, a three-year-old.” Shen Moyu looked him up and down.
