Super détecteur de fantômes - Chapitre 13
As I was thinking, my hand was suddenly grasped, and my palm felt warm.
Shen Zhili was startled and turned around to try to shake him off.
But then she saw Su Chenche looking at her earnestly: "Zhi Li, I don't want to see you being taken away from me again."
Shen Zhili thought for a moment, then asked in a daze, "You don't mean that day..." when she got off the carriage alone and was taken away by Hua Jiuye.
Su Chenche nodded and admitted, "I still hold a grudge."
Shen Zhili shook her hand and rubbed her forehead: "You don't have to hold my hand."
Su Chenche thought for a moment, let go of her hand, and tugged at Shen Zhili's sleeve, saying, "Uh, how about this then?"
Shen Zhili looked down at the hand gripping the hem of her clothes. It was clean and slender with distinct knuckles, yet it was clenched extremely tightly, just like the hand that had held onto her even when she was poisoned and unconscious and fell into the secret passage that day. It was incredibly stubborn.
The thought flashed through her mind in an instant. Shen Zhili forcefully brushed Su Chenche's hand away, her tone slightly cold and hard: "Stop fooling around, let's go."
In the stillness of the night, the only sound in the quiet Huichun Valley was the howling wind crashing back and forth.
Shen Zhili tightened her outer garment slightly, ignoring the burning gaze behind her, and quickened her pace to catch up with Dieyi.
Dieyi led them, dodging the guards, until they reached the valley entrance.
"Miss, I'll leave you here. You know the way out of the valley well..."
Shen Zhili nodded slightly, then suddenly asked, "Aren't you coming with us?"
Dieyi twisted her sleeves, and her cheeks, bathed in the faint light of the sunrise, flushed slightly: "This servant will stay in the valley to serve Young Master Hua."
He must have done something to you!
Shen Zhili angrily asked, "Did he force you?!"
Dieyi slightly raised one eye, smiled shyly, and turned her head away: "No."
Shen Zhili asked in confusion, "Then you..."
Dieyi covered her face shyly: "Only now do I realize how charming perverts are... Whether it's the way Young Master Hua sleeps with a snake, the way he teases beauties, or his wicked smile, he's incredibly sexy, making my heart pound so hard."
Shen Zhili was shocked: "...Dieyi, have you had a stroke?!"
Dieyi chuckled softly again: "Actually, I was quite terrified when I found out, but I've gotten used to it. It's such a blessing to be able to stay by Young Master Hua's side and serve him."
Shen Zhili stared intently into her pupils.
After a long while, he breathed a sigh of relief, patted Dieyi's shoulder, and said with deep sorrow, "...Good Dieyi, I will remember your sacrifice...One day, I will definitely save you!"
Dieyi moved her lips: "Miss, what are you saying? This servant doesn't..."
Shen Zhili had already turned and walked away.
What's wrong with her?
Shen Zhili pressed her temples and muttered, "Self-hypnosis. My senior brother is too shrewd. The only way to fool him is to fool yourself as well... Let's go quickly."
Walking quickly, after a while when she couldn't hear the sound behind her, Shen Zhili turned around and said, "You..."
As he spoke, his heart suddenly pounded, and he held his body at a semi-leaning position, frozen in place.
Su Chenche helped Shen Zhili up: "What's wrong?"
Shen Zhili struggled to lift her head. The man in front of her had handsome features and a gentle temperament. His extremely clear eyes were tinged with worldly dust because of his deep affection, yet they were so pure that they seemed otherworldly. In the misty morning light, his breathing was slow and long, like a sigh, and his breath brushed against her cheek with a tingling warmth.
Shen Zhili took two steps back, staring blankly at Su Chenche, almost losing her balance: "What did you do to me?!"
The way those three words came out was incredibly sweet and alluring.
...For the first time in her life, Shen Zhili discovered that her voice could produce such a terrifying sound.
Sure enough, as soon as she spoke, Su Chenche's eyes suddenly darkened.
In this situation, Shen Zhili wanted to cry but had no tears.
wrong……
Su Chenche had plenty of opportunities before he could make a move against her, so it must be... Shen Zhili quickly ruled out possibilities in her mind, but came to an even more terrifying conclusion: the previous Southern Border Gu poison?
******************************************************************************
"Zhi Li, what exactly is it..." Su Chenche asked with a hint of nervousness, his gaze sincere and without the slightest pretense.
But... no matter how sincere he is at this point, the more you look at him, the more dangerous it seems!
Shen Zhili covered her collar, turned her gaze away, and continued to back away: "You, you... don't come any closer."
She just wanted Su Chenche to go away, but the tone of her voice... ahhhh, it makes me want to die!
This is utterly disgraceful to our master!
After only a moment of doubt, Su Chenche decisively took a step closer, his eyes sparkling, and said with even greater sincerity and seriousness, "Zhili, your face is so red."
Shen Zhili retreated straight back until his back pressed against the boulder at the entrance of the valley.
Su Chenche had a wonderfully pleasant scent, not like the fragrance of flowers, but faint yet refreshing. His face seemed to be magnified several times and projected into Shen Zhili's field of vision. His gentle voice lingered in her ears, and Shen Zhili's ears immediately turned red.
I want to get closer...
A bead of cold sweat rolled down Shen Zhili's forehead. She reached out to block him, her voice trembling with panic for a moment: "Stay away from me."
However, neither the atmosphere nor the tone of the sentence had the imposing presence it should have; instead, it sounded soft and gentle, like an invitation.
Yunxiu brushed her sleeves against her forehead, their breaths audible from such close proximity.
Su Chenche's voice seemed to carry a hint of allure as he blinked, his tone as innocent as ever: "Did you catch a cold? Your forehead is so sweaty..."
More than just sweat, Shen Zhili felt that her whole body was radiating heat.
Dry mouth and throat.
I really, really want to do something...
But what should we do...?
Balancing between reason and desperation, Shen Zhili bit her lip and forced a hoarse voice, saying, "Stop pretending, I don't believe you didn't notice something's wrong with me..."
Su Chenche was silent for a moment: "...Can I pretend I don't know?"
Shen Zhili gritted her teeth: "No way!"
With a "what's the use" attitude, Shen Zhili suppressed the urge to get closer and stared wide-eyed at Su Chenche, panting, "Either stay away from me or help me think of a solution. This thing will only last for a while... Damn it, what kind of broken Gu is this!"
She had some knowledge of Gu poison in the Southern Frontier, but the Central Plains was isolated from information. She only knew about a few well-known Gu poisons that had appeared in the past and simple methods of suppressing them. Hua Jiuye's Gu poison was clearly not on the list. Not to mention the antidote, she didn't even know what kind of Gu poison it was!
A warm hand suddenly covered her eyes.
Shen Zhili heard the sound of Su Chenche's Adam's apple bobbing, followed by his slightly lowered voice: "Zhili, don't look at me. My self-control isn't as good as you think."
As Shen Zhili opened her mouth to speak, she felt a finger pressed against her lips.
"Don't speak."
Unable to see, yet with heightened senses, Su Chenche's voice was like the deepest allure of the darkest night.
All senses of touch were stimulated to the extreme.
His chest heaved, and he was breathing rapidly.
"Relax and trust me."
Unconsciously, Shen Zhili obeyed the voice, closed her eyes, and relaxed.
Someone held her hands down and hugged her.
A faint, pleasant scent lingered around her, tempting her to lean closer, but her body was firmly restrained, completely unable to move.
Struggling in vain, Shen Zhili's eyes began to blur, and she murmured unconsciously, but even she herself did not know what she was saying.
However, the hand holding her tightened even more.
It was as if she was afraid that if she let go, she would disappear.
Being so close, Shen Zhili leaned in and his soft lips brushed against her smooth cheek.
Her body, which was restrained, trembled.
Seemingly finding this amusing, Shen Zhili stuck out his tongue and licked the delicious-tasting cheek, then chuckled foolishly and said, "Master..."
The sound was like a thunderclap.
Her body stiffened, and a hand quickly cupped her chin.
Shen Zhili's eyes were still blurry, seemingly unaware of what she had done, and she even smiled inexplicably.
Su Chenche's voice was hoarse as he stared at Shen Zhili's flushed, bewildered face and asked, "Zhili, do you remember who I am?"
Shen Zhili shook her head.
Su Chenche: "Do you remember who you are?"
Shen Zhili continued to shake her head.
Su Chenche: "Do you know what you're doing right now?"
Shen Zhili shook her head again.
Su Chenche: "...Very good."
As he spoke, he held Shen Zhili's face close and lowered his head.
The distance is getting closer and closer.
The moment their lips touched, a strong killing intent suddenly swept over them!
Su Chenche pulled Shen Zhili back two steps, only to see a menacing nine-ringed broadsword stuck in the spot where he had just been standing!
As the sun rose, a beautiful woman in red suddenly pulled her knife from a crevice in the rocks. The rising light on the horizon shone on her, as if she were coated with a thin layer of gold, so dazzling that it was hard to look directly at her.
Her eyes glanced indifferently at Su Chenche, her aura of cold elegance and nobility fully unleashed, her languid voice like a sword slowly being drawn from its sheath: "Su Chenche... is this the important thing you'd rather take a knife from me than not go back and do it?"
"I've been waiting for you at the valley entrance for two days!"
Ye Qianqian weighed the knife in her hand and tossed it upwards again and again, the fierce, cold light reflecting off it, incredibly sharp!
Chapter Thirteen
Shen Zhili stumbled, her hand brushing against the stone wall behind her, and she fell to the ground.
The sharp pain from the back of her hand brought her back to her senses. She gripped the back of her hand, shook her head, and her vision gradually cleared in the sunlight.
