The two walked towards the city. Tang Yu remained vigilant the entire way, but didn't spot anyone suspicious. The suddenness of the incident caused Song Hao to worry. Back at the guesthouse, they sat there, speechless.

After a while, Song Hao said, "No matter who they are, let's ignore them for now. Once that lama returns, we'll retrieve the book and head back to Tianyi Hall. They shouldn't take any action against us in the meantime, otherwise they would have already done so."

Tang Yu listened and smiled with relief, "It's good that you're not worried. I've also been wondering about these people's intentions. Your actions have always been under their surveillance. In fact, I discovered that someone was already monitoring you when we were in Baihe Town."

“I know someone is watching me in the dark, but the people who destroyed our cars today must be a different group,” Song Hao said.

“Yes, there are two groups watching you at the same time. One group is concerned about you, while the purpose of the other group is still unclear. Although they destroyed one of our cars today, I feel that they don’t dare to openly attack you. Because this group must know that you have a special identity. Therefore, I have never been too worried about your safety. I just don’t know what this group’s purpose is for you,” Tang Yu said.

"You mean the people from the Gate of Life and Death are still around me?" Song Hao asked in surprise.

“I’m certain!” Tang Yu said, “I’ve met Gu Xiaofeng. He’s unfathomable. The people from the Life and Death Sect won’t leave until your matter with the Heavenly Medicine Sect is resolved. That’s why the other group didn’t dare to take action against you. Destroying the car might have been a desperate measure. Of course, there might be something more powerful involved, but we don’t know.”

“However…” Tang Yu continued, “Because of you, those who dare to confront the Heavenly Medicine Sect and the Life and Death Sect are not to be underestimated; they must also be a powerful force.”

"Could it be that it's still about that bronze statue?" Song Hao asked, frowning.

"Judging from the current situation and next year, this factor is not absent, but I feel that the other party still has other purposes. Could it be because you are a descendant of the Qi family of the Heavenly Medicine Sect...?" Tang Yu said with a sudden realization.

"Is it the Qi family who caused this trouble?" Song Hao's expression changed.

"It's just a guess. Perhaps it's also related to the 'miracle cure'," Tang Yu said.

"What do you mean?" Song Hao was taken aback.

“Ever since Ji Dongyang fled from us, I feel like there’s another pair of eyes watching us. Someone might be trying to find clues about Ji Dongyang from us in order to obtain the miraculous cure,” Tang Yu said.

Song Hao scratched his head and said, "I'm confused. How is this related to the 'miracle cure'?"

Tang Yu said, "The things that have happened these days are complicated and unpredictable, which makes me think about them in a complicated way. Not to mention that you don't understand, I still haven't figured it out myself."

Song Hao smiled helplessly and said, "Then let's not think about it anymore. What's done is done."

"When things happen, it might be beyond our control..." Tang Yu said, then suddenly got up, opened the door, and rushed out.

Then, Tang Yu turned back and shook her head, saying, "So fast!"

"What? Was someone eavesdropping outside just now?" Song Hao asked in surprise.

"Mm!" Tang Yu nodded, then quickly leaned over the windowsill to look out at the street.

Song Hao also looked out the window but didn't see anyone suspicious.

“We shouldn’t have stayed here so long, it’s all that lama’s fault!” Tang Yu said, closing the window.

Song Hao said, "We are in the open, while they are in the shadows. Let's remain calm and wait for the right moment to act."

Tang Yu said, "That's all we can do. But we don't need to worry too much. No matter who it is, if they try to take any actions that endanger our lives, the people of the Gate of Life and Death will stop them. So let's just continue with our business."

"What exactly are these people trying to do?" Song Hao shook his head, puzzled.

“You’re quite a figure now, with many powerful connections, you just don’t realize it yet. Also, I want to prove something, if we can successfully return to the Heavenly Medicine Hall…” Tang Yu said thoughtfully, seemingly out of nowhere.

The next morning, Song Hao and Tang Yu arrived at Kumbum Monastery again. After asking the lama who was receiving them, they learned that Lama Usang had returned, so they sat there and waited.

It took more than an hour for the Usang Lama to stroll in.

"You're the ones who came looking for me! Why haven't you left yet?" Usang Lama was taken aback at first, then said casually, and sat down to the side.

“Master Wusang, we have come from afar to retrieve the copy of ‘Qi Fang Yan Chao’ that Mr. Ding Fengjie entrusted to you. So please don’t make things difficult for us. If you have any conditions, just state them,” Song Hao said.

"The Miraculous Prescriptions! Since you know what you're looking for, why didn't you explain it clearly the first time you came?" Usang Lama said, his expression softening.

"So you admit it happened! You didn't mention it the first time you came, assuming Master Wusang would know." Song Hao was delighted to hear this.

“The person who came is not right, and they didn’t explain what they were taking, so naturally I won’t admit to it. Ding Fengjie is a Han Chinese friend of mine. A few years ago, he entrusted a book to me, saying that a Taoist priest would come to retrieve it later. But it was the two of you who came instead. How can I believe you?” said Lama Usang.

"So that's how it is!" Song Hao felt relieved and quickly said, "The Taoist priest that Mr. Ding Fengjie mentioned is my Taoist master. He ordered me to come and fetch him. I'm so sorry that Master Wusang misunderstood. We didn't explain clearly."

“That won’t do either. This book still cannot be given to you,” said Lama Usang.

"Why?" Song Hao was taken aback.

“I was entrusted with this task by a friend. If I entrust it to the wrong person, wouldn’t I be letting down my Han friend? He clearly instructed me back then that no matter who comes to collect it in the future, I should not give it to anyone who is not a doctor,” said Lama Usang.

Upon hearing this, Song Hao secretly breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Old Master Ding has considered everything thoroughly. Although he and my master have a twenty-year agreement, in order to prevent unpredictable variables from causing this book to fall into the hands of someone who is not capable of using it, he gave the instruction that it should not be given to anyone who is not a doctor. To be honest, I have been studying medicine since I was a child, and I came to obtain this book for the purpose of healing people."

"Oh! You must be studying Traditional Chinese Medicine." Usang Lama nodded and asked.

“Yes!” Song Hao replied.

“Then come with me to verify it. It’s not that I don’t trust you, but I must safely deliver the book entrusted to me by my deceased friend to the intended recipient. Please understand.” Ulama stood up and said.

"Very well!" Song Hao shook his head and smiled. He still held this cautious lama in high esteem.

"If I had known it would turn out like this, I would have explained it clearly the first time we came. Why wait until now?" Tang Yu muttered helplessly.

Lama Usang led Song Hao and Tang Yu to another courtyard, through a corridor covered with murals, and into a spacious room filled with the smell of medicine. Several patients lay on beds, and several lamas were busy at work; it was a ward set up within the temple.

Usang Lama came to a hospital bed, pointed to a middle-aged man on the bed, and said to Song Hao, "This is a patient who was just brought in. He has a persistent high fever. Traditional Chinese medicine and Tibetan medicine are different in their treatment methods and terms of address. You should treat him according to the methods of traditional Chinese medicine."

Song Hao suddenly realized that this Usang Lama was actually a Tibetan doctor.

Song Hao immediately stepped forward to examine his pulse. The pulse was floating, large, and rapid, indicating a high fever caused by external wind-heat. However, Lama Wusang was deliberately making things difficult for Song Hao, as there was no quick and effective way to reduce such a high fever.

Song Hao understood his meaning and smiled, "If Tibetan medicine were to treat this illness, how long would it take to bring down the high fever at the fastest?"

Usang Lama said, "That depends on what type of patient he is. This patient is of the Chiba type. With the secret Tibetan medicine of my Kumbum Monastery, his fever can be reduced within two hours."
