Kapitel 33

Okay, this is so much fun!

"I can't say." His little face immediately darkened.

"Why? Don't be afraid, your big brother will help you solve anything." Fang Weiyang patted his chest, looking quite heroic.

“Because…” Ye Pei said slowly, glancing at the indicator light with his beautiful eyes, and then a strange smile appeared on his face.

"Because I am an illegitimate child, my mommy said I am not allowed to tell anyone."

"Oh—" No, then why did he tell him that?

"Because you are not 'others'."

The moment the elevator arrived, Ye Pei directly stated his thoughts. After answering, he still gave him a strange smile, then took a step and walked out first.

For some inexplicable reason, Fang Weiyang shuddered. It was a strange feeling, as if he had fallen into some kind of trap and couldn't turn over.

"Hey, little brother, you're going the wrong way." On the left wing of the 25th floor, only he and Feng Zi were there; the part-time assistant girl naturally wouldn't bother with that.

She looked no more than eighteen or nineteen years old, so of course she couldn't possibly be that big...

"Mommy—"

The child's voice interrupted his reverie. He looked up and saw a small figure rush in... Ugh, he really wanted to turn around and run away, or jump out of the window.

"Oh, what brings you here?" She had only come out to check if the person with the one leg had returned, but she was unexpectedly greeted with a pleasant surprise. Lucky's soft "Mommy" had just touched her heart, not to mention her stubborn son's "hug-and-pull" move, which was clearly meant to make her unable to resist.

"I've come to bring you and your sister lunchboxes."

Ye Pei proudly showed off the extra-large bento box he was carrying, and immediately saw a string of bright little stars appear in his mother's eyes.

"Good boy!" She happily kissed her son on the cheek, then took his little hand and led him inside.

"Wait a minute!" Ye Pei grabbed her mother and innocently pushed Fang Weiyang, who was trying to escape, into hell. "Mommy, that big brother said he knows you, and he was very friendly when he came up with me."

Big brother? Why does that back view look like—

"Vice President!" she called out.

Oh no, I'm doomed, this is so embarrassing...

Fang Weiyang turned around helplessly, grinning foolishly, trying to get away with it.

"Big brother, she's my mommy, you know her, right?"

Ye Pei's pretty face was full of sweet smiles.

"We know each other!" Not just know each other, we're practically best acquainted.

He answered dejectedly, but unexpectedly saw a familiar sly smile on the kid's face and immediately jumped up in fright.

"You, you..." He was so angry that his outstretched fingers almost cramped up. He couldn't believe that he, who had been so shrewd all his life, had been outmaneuvered by a mere brat.

"Mommy, big brother is so fierce!" Ye Pei reacted quickly and hid behind Feng Zi, looking scared.

"Stop fooling around."

She gave Fang Weiyang a reproachful glare, then pulled her son and turned to leave. Her full red lips involuntarily curved into a wide smile, and finally, as she entered the reception room, she let out a series of silvery laughs.

"Oh my god, haha... I... my son... haha... call you big brother... then you have to... have to call me something... hahaha... so funny... ha..." She collapsed onto the sofa without any regard for her image, laughing uncontrollably.

"According to seniority, you should call her Auntie."

Ye Pei put down the lunchbox, answered the question, and stretched out her little hand to pat her mother's back, looking as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Yes... call her Auntie... ha..."

Fang Weiyang, who followed behind, first blushed with shame and anger, then, after seeing Ye Pei's actions, he glared at her with jealous eyes.

"Xiao Zi, you're laughing at others!" he accused resentfully, and tried to take over Ye Pei's work.

To his surprise, Ye Pei returned his gaze with a provocative look, then reached out and stroked Feng Zi's lower abdomen, saying softly, "Mommy, if you laugh for too long, your little sister will feel uncomfortable."

Fengzi stopped laughing and, rubbing her lower abdomen, said pitifully, "Yes, but Mommy is so hungry."

When Fang Weiyang realized that the object of her coquettishness was only this wretched brat in front of him, he immediately became consumed by jealousy. "Xiao Zi, I bought you some delicious ramen, do you want to..." he said with a smile that was almost ingratiating.

She couldn't hear a word he said because Fengzi's entire attention was captured by the bento box Ye Pei had opened. "Wow, this is amazing! Sweet and sour pork, Kung Pao chicken, beef with oyster sauce, and, and braised prawns... Oh! Why are there stir-fried bell peppers? I don't want to eat this!" Her excited expression instantly turned into one of grievance.

Fang Weiyang's handsome face, which had been drooping, immediately brightened with a smug look. He was just about to put on his "understanding" act when—

"You can't not eat! Mommy, you're too picky about food, it's not good for your sister's health. The doctor said so, so you have to eat!" Ye Pei crossed her arms, looking like she wouldn't back down.

Wow, this kid's stern and fierce demeanor is comparable to Pei Youde's, Fang Weiyang exclaimed in amazement.

"Oh." With a sigh, Feng Zi picked up the spoon, scooped up a bell pepper with a hint of resentment, and then quickly threw it into her mouth, chewing vigorously. After a moment of stunned silence, she smiled broadly and said, "So delicious! Everything Lucky makes is so delicious."

Watching her wolf down her food, Fang Weiyang glared at her with a sour expression, quite displeased that she, already the mother of his child, was praising another man so effusively. But that wasn't the point; the point was to deal with this cunning brat in front of him first.

Seeing Ye Pei walk into the tea room as if it were his own kitchen, he immediately followed.

"What are your skills?" Ye Pei asked without turning his head.

"Huh?" Just from his certainty, Fang Weiyang knew he couldn't be taken lightly. He narrowed his eyes and asked, "What do you mean?"

“My mom can’t cook, and she’s not good at managing household affairs. Besides, she seems shrewd, but she’s actually quite careless and absent-minded. So, she’s of no benefit to you, both personally and professionally. But since you want to marry her, you should at least show some appreciation, right?” He rattled off all his thoughts in one breath, then took some high-calcium milk from the refrigerator, poured it, and warmed it up before turning around and glancing at him sideways.

This brat...
