Chapter 16

Volume 1: A Folk Woman Named Qingyun is Admired (Part 3)

A gentle breeze stirred, and Qingyun and Junwuhen's hair danced in the wind, the ends intertwining. The glow of the setting sun bathed their hair in a golden light, making it shimmer softly.

This was the first time Qingyun had seen Jun Wuhen...

This was the first time Qingyun had shown such excitement in front of outsiders...

This was the first time Qingyun had felt her heart beating so fast...

Jun Wuhen, dressed in black, looked at Qingyun, who was wearing a green dress, and a hint of surprise flashed in his blue eyes.

This was the first time Jun Wuhen had seen Qingyun in disguise...

This was the first time Jun Wuhen had ever seen such clear eyes...

This was the first time Jun Wuhen had restrained his domineering aura in front of outsiders...

All of our first times were defined in that moment when our eyes met and our hair intertwined under the setting sun!

This was their first meeting, but they didn't know that this encounter would determine their intertwined fates in the future.

"I have long admired your name, Your Excellency!" Qingyun clasped his hands in greeting, his eyes calm, having suppressed the initial excitement.

Jun Wuhen gripped the pear blossom earring in his hand, nodded slightly, and said, "Miss has a good eye."

Noticing his hand, Qingyun smiled and said, "May I ask if Your Excellency would like to discuss with me the fate of the pear blossom earrings?" Her slender fingers pointed to the nearby Yunlou Inn.

Staring at her slightly upturned lips and smiling eyes, Jun Wuhen nodded.

After moving to the Yunlou Inn, Qingyun and Jun Wuhen sat down at a window seat. Seeing their guests seated, the waiter quickly poured them tea, but Qingyun waved his hand, and the waiter withdrew.

After Jun Wuhen took a sip of tea, Qingyun spoke up, "Young Master Jun, may I have those pear blossom earrings?"

Jun Wuhen frowned and remained silent.

Looking at the pale yellow tea, Qingyun continued, "If this humble woman can ease Young Master Jun's brow, then would Young Master Jun be so kind as to give me the pear blossom earrings?"

Jun Wuhen raised an eyebrow, his blue eyes gleaming slightly.

Qingyun smiled and beckoned to the waiter, "Waiter, call your boss over."

When the waiter saw Qingyun's smiling eyes, he nodded.

A moment later, the waiter led the boss to Qingyun's table.

Qingyun first clasped her hands in a fist and palm salute, then said to the boss, "This humble woman has a suggestion for Yunlou."

"Oh? Young lady, tell me about it."

"It's summer now, I wonder if the boss has considered replacing the hot tea served to guests at Yunlou with a cup of iced flower tea?"

The boss's eyes lit up.

"Boss, what do you think of this suggestion?"

"You have a good eye, young lady!" The innkeeper nodded slightly to Qingyun. "To express my gratitude, the items you used at Yunlou this time..."

“Boss…” Qingyun interrupted the boss, “I have a favor to ask. I would like to use Yunlou’s kitchen.”

The boss hesitated, "This..."

"I'm just brewing a cup of tea; I have no other intentions."

"All right."

Qingyun stood up and nodded slightly to Jun Wuhen, "Please wait a moment, Young Master Jun."

Jun Wuhen looked at her, his eyes still full of smiles, as if there was a strange attraction that he couldn't refuse. "Okay."

The boss and waiter also left quickly.

They were afraid of this guest; dressed entirely in black and possessing an innate air of dominance, he was like a black flame, making him unapproachable.

A moment later, Qingyun placed a cup of tea in front of Jun Wuhen.

She stared into his blue eyes, "Please, young master, have a taste."

He tilted his head back, the teacup slightly angled, the coolness seeping into his heart drop by drop, a faint pear blossom fragrance lingering in his mouth. Jun Wuhen's brows relaxed, his blue eyes as blue as the ocean.

“Young Master Jun, how about we exchange this pear for that pear?” Qingyun’s lips curved slightly, revealing a smile as radiant as pear blossoms.

After pondering for a long time, Jun Wuhen seemed to be in a dilemma.

“Young Master Jun…” Qingyun hesitated for a moment and asked, “These pear blossom earrings, do you… want to give them to your sweetheart?” Qingyun’s voice became as soft as a mosquito’s bite at the end, and there were two faint blushes on her cheeks.

"My wife."

The flush on Qingyun's face quickly faded, and she looked somewhat pale.

Seeing her face turn red and white, Jun Wuhen seemed to realize that what he had just said was a bit inappropriate, and explained, "My future wife."

Hearing his words, Qingyun's complexion gradually regained its color, and she forced a smile, "The future? Young Master Jun, is that..."
