Princess Xiangsi - Chapter 126

Chapter 126

Suddenly, he noticed a figure on the bed.

He was overjoyed and staggered over.

He closed his eyes and began kissing the person on the bed, the strong liquor in his system now taking effect. Jun Wuhen felt his whole body burning; he desperately needed Qingyun before him.

He didn't care about anything else, and his burning lips immediately pressed against the person beneath him.

He lowered the curtain.

The moon outside quietly withdrew its light, while inside, spring was in full bloom.

Book review, sorry.

I've been staring at the blank document with my hands on the keyboard for a long time, but I can't type a single word.

Even though the laughter of Situ Xingyun, Jun Wuhen, Li Ge, and Feng Xueqingyun still filled her mind, she couldn't write a single word in front of the blank document.

A side story can be considered a patch for a book. Moreover, since this book is written in the third person, writing a side story allows readers to relive the original events.

Furthermore, I feel that if you completely dissect a person's inner world, then they are no longer the person everyone knows. Therefore, it's better to leave room for everyone's imagination.

Personally, when reading novels, I always focus on the process rather than the ending. A good book is about the emotional enjoyment it brings to the reader throughout the story. Therefore, who Qingyun ends up with is not important to me. What matters is that he can bring Qingyun happiness, whether it's Xingyun, Wuhen, Lige, or someone else.

Due to editorial requirements, I hereby officially announce that updates for "Princess of Longing" will be temporarily suspended. However, please believe me, I will post the ending as soon as possible. Please understand. I will promptly inform everyone of any new developments. Thank you to everyone who has accompanied me and "Princess of Longing" from the beginning until now. Dan Ying bows in gratitude!

As for those who want to insult the author or launch personal attacks, please leave. After all, I don't write for free; at least I've refused VIP invitations from multiple literary websites. If you have enough patience, you can read the entire story for free without spending a single penny. If you want to finish reading it earlier, you'll have to buy the book. o(∩_∩)o... Of course, I really hope that those of you with the financial means will buy the book, (*^__^*) hehe... I hope readers will enjoy the book.

The editor said the book will be out by the end of the year, (*^__^*) hehe... Thank you everyone for your support. Even if senior year of high school is tough, I will persevere!!! Because I know there are still many people who hope I will produce more works, so I will study very hard, get into the university I like, and then write more works that everyone will enjoy!

In order to keep "The Princess of Longing" from falling off the homepage, and to thank the readers who have supported me since I started writing about longing, I will post some book reviews of "The Princess of Longing" below.

First, there's Yu Chenling's book review of "Love in the Sunny Days." Yu's book review is gorgeous, kudos!

As I read on, I couldn't help but marvel at how a masterpiece is born. Perhaps one day, the physical book "The Princess of Longing" will be in our hands. The entire text is ingeniously conceived, with beautiful and elegant language. Every character, every glance, and every action carries its own metaphor.

She is Qingyun, a talented and beautiful woman renowned in Fengxi for her literary talent, and also Princess Fengxue, a dignified and noble woman from the imperial palace, with a scarred face. From the moment she appears, her vastly different identities captivate readers. What's more, her husband is Situ Xingyun, a charming, suave, and domineering man who despises her. This inevitably arouses our curiosity: how will this seemingly ugly princess with unusually bright eyes win him over? And this win-win situation is so casual, not her true nature. In the end, Situ does indeed fall in love with her.

The author subtly introduces a self-righteous ideal man for the female protagonist, leading one to believe she would strive for her relationship with Jun Wumian. However, the writing takes a turn, revealing that he is merely her childhood idol. We, too, seem to share the protagonist's indifference; even if she were to become his wife, we remain unmoved. This foreshadowing deserves praise. The protagonist and Jun Wumian are destined to be together, like the pear blossoms. One might assume she is already married and has no further hope, especially given her childhood memory of being saved by Situ in Fengcheng. This memory holds significant weight in her heart. Yet, her innocence leaves much to the imagination, suggesting that anything is possible. Indeed, due to persecution, she falls off a cliff, loses her martial arts, and suffers amnesia. To survive, she becomes Jun Wumian's wife. I thought it was fate, and that's how it was supposed to be. But when we actually got together, it just didn't feel right. I always felt that she wasn't the one destined for me. Maybe it was because of her unintentional evasive glances, or because of her quiet contemplation.

At this moment, Li Ge's figure gradually became clearer. Even the seemingly indifferent man had fallen in love. For the female lead, he was willing to humble himself as a slave, solely for her happiness. But then an obstacle arose: who was more important, her or his patient? He was the only one without personal grudges, a saint completely thinking of others. Compared to Situ Xingyun's ambition and domineering nature, and Jun Wumian's loyalty and devotion, he was undoubtedly the greatest. Perhaps he would even disappear if it meant her happiness. Although it was heartbreaking, it felt like precisely such good people became tragic figures, while those with flaws and arrogance became the happy ones.

How can Qingyun's poison be completely cured? On the surface, it seems that only becoming a true husband and wife with Jun Wumian can cure it, but this depends on who Qingyun truly loves. Xingyun is an important part of her memory, and we don't know what kind of turbulent waves will be unleashed when she unlocks it; we don't know if Jun Wumian's deep affection can truly move her; we don't know if Lige's otherworldly selflessness is her deepest longing; and we don't know how the astonishing conspiracy in Ligong is related to her; and we don't know what kind of secrets will emerge on the day Lijing and Lijing unite. We can only say that we look forward to it, looking forward to a more exciting sequel. No matter who the female lead ends up with, it seems that she will be happy.

Book Review 2

First, Li Ge is so outstanding, and the only one truly loyal to Princess Feng Xue, only wanting to silently protect and care for her. I think this devotion will eventually move Feng Xue, making her realize that only Li Ge truly belongs to her. However, there's a problem: what if Li Ge is Situ Xingzhi (Situ Xingyun's younger brother), and Shuang Die only married him because she mistakenly believed Situ Xingyun was the same Situ Xingzhi who saved her as a child? If that's the case, what kind of entanglement will occur when Situ Xingyun learns that her brother is going to steal away her beloved Feng Xue?

Second, this Qingyun is not the same as that Qingyun. Wuhen wants to marry Qingyun. If Qingyun were really Feixue, I think Feixue would not be happy, because her love for Wuhen is just a childhood infatuation that cannot be transformed into true love. But Xiaoqing's name is the real Qingyun, and she loves Wuhen so much. I think only when this Wuhen and the real Qingyun unite can they produce true offspring and ensure the continued prosperity of the Ligong Sect.

Third, Shuangdie is merely a pawn in Situ Xingyun's game. I wonder if Shuangdie is the Palace Master of Qin Palace, a spy sent by the Palace Master, or perhaps a relative of Eunuch Lan's old acquaintance, who came seeking revenge. And Situ Xingyun should know some of all this.

Fourth, Situ Xingyun is about to find out that Qingyun is his beloved Fengxue. He will stop at nothing to take her away, but will Fengxue still accept him despite past grievances? Not necessarily. What Fengxue wants is a husband. When she was still a princess, she gave Situ Xingyun a chance, but unfortunately, everything went wrong, and in the end, Situ Xingyun will regret it for the rest of his life.

Therefore, I think Fengxue's ending is that she ends up with Lige, living their truly ordinary yet great immortal life.

*****************This is a comment I saw on Sina. (*^__^*) Hehe... Several points really resonated with me.

Book Review 3

This is a book review by Qianming, the author of *Misstepping the Beat*. I really like Dandan's *The Princess of Longing*, not only because of its captivating plot, but also because of the author's writing style. Those beautiful sentences depict dreamlike scenes, and the characters are vividly portrayed. Whether it's Feng Xue, Situ Xingyun, Jun Wuhen, or Li Ge, they all come alive, gradually taking shape in our minds. We like them, we dislike them, we feel heartache because of their expressions, anger because of their actions, and sadness because of their sorrows. They seem to truly live in this world.

As for Feng Xue, the only princess of Fengxi, she was born into a life of pampering and endless luxury. However, these privileges silently transformed into invisible shackles, binding her tightly. She was powerless to change her fate, yet utterly helpless. I think she wasn't born so indifferent; the responsibility weighing on her frail shoulders was far too heavy. If she weren't Fengxi's only princess, burdened with the responsibility of ruling the Fengxi kingdom, perhaps she could have freely pursued what she wanted. She could have married the man she loved, relinquished her princess title, and lived in seclusion in Liren Valley with Li Ge, assuming the identity of Qingyun. But how could she bear to disappoint her father's expectations? How could she bear to see his disappointed expression? She was so sensible and understanding, never even once rebelling, before marrying Prince Situ, whom she didn't love. This makes my heart ache.

Regarding Situ Xingyun, at the beginning of the story, I thought he would be Feng Xue's destined partner. However, I gradually realized that they couldn't be together. Even if they liked each other, a happy ending wouldn't await them. A man as ambitious and capable as him, even if he loved Feng Xue deeply, couldn't give up his ambition to conquer the world for her. He wanted both the world and the beauty. I can't deny that I was genuinely angry when I saw him marry Shuang Die, but I slowly came to understand. After all, in ancient times, it was common for men to have multiple wives and concubines, especially someone of Situ Xingyun's status. Besides, he mistakenly believed Shuang Die to be Feng Xue as a child. He liked beautiful women, yet he still fell in love with Feng Xue, whose appearance was ruined—that was true love. However, national and personal hatred would inevitably stand between them, preventing them from getting close.

Jun Wuhen, the master of the Li Palace, shares many similarities with Feng Xue in terms of helplessness; both are unable to decide their own marriages and bear heavy responsibilities. So far, I quite like Jun Wuhen, although Dan Dan hasn't devoted much space to him yet. I think that when the second volume focuses on him, more and more people will fall in love with him. I'm really looking forward to the stories that unfold around him, and I hope Dan Dan won't disappoint us!

Li Ge has always been a mysterious figure, an enigma that fascinates and captivates all. I believe he is not merely a reclusive, detached healer; he too has his own story, and one that is sure to be quite compelling.

I believe Dan Dan will give us an ending that won't disappoint us, but I also hope that, no matter what the ending is, and who Feng Xue ends up with, all readers can sincerely wish her well and not blame Dan Dan. After all, those characters have already developed their own souls and thoughts, and Dan Dan often has no control over them.

Thank you so much, Dandan, for writing such a wonderful piece! I'll always support you, keep it up!

************************ Hehe, next time I update my book review, I'll give you all something more substantial. For example, a summary of later chapters or some character dialogue, like a preview of the next episode in a TV series. What do you all think?
