Liu Meixiu's face flushed red, because her husband's hand had somehow moved to her breasts.

Looking at her, Lu Qingcheng said with a half-smile, "Let's go back, I'm tired."

"Let me serve my husband so he can rest in peace."

Liu Mei reached out to help him undress, but Lu Qingcheng pushed her away with his hand.

"No need. Let's go back."

"Husband, how can you treat me like this? We've been married for three years, yet we've never consummated our marriage. What have I done that violates the virtues of a wife, making you so disgusted with me? Have you forgotten what you promised me when you were courting me? How can you go back on your word?"

Liu Mei looked resentful.

Lu Qingcheng gave a strange laugh, "Are you blaming me for not sleeping with you?"

Liu Mei was so angry at his vulgar words that her face turned red and her chest heaved rapidly.

Lu Qingcheng stared at her with a mocking look in her eyes, "Take off your clothes, shall we? Let's see if you can arouse my interest."

Liu Mei was utterly humiliated. She wanted nothing more than to slap him and walk away. But she couldn't. To achieve her goal, saving face was no longer important; the most important thing was to get him into bed once. Once she conceived, would she still be afraid of losing power in the future? She gritted her teeth, her hands trembling as she undressed, exposing her snow-white body to the bright light.

Lu Qingcheng looked at it for a while, then smiled and said, "Put it on."

Liu Mei glared at him, her eyes blazing with fury. If the fire in her eyes could burn someone, Lu Qingcheng would have been reduced to ashes long ago. She put her clothes back on, then suddenly lunged at him, slapping him hard across the face. "You lied to me. Qingfeng will never forgive you if he finds out."

Lu Qingcheng suddenly grabbed her, and with a flick of her wrist, threw her against the wall, shouting, "You slut, how dare you mention Qingfeng? Get out!"

The door opened, and Qing Jianyue entered with a late-night snack. She witnessed this scene and quickly lowered her head, about to leave. Lu Qingcheng called out, "Jianyue, stay!" Qing Jianyue had no choice but to stand stiffly. Liu Mei's self-control was truly first-rate; seeing someone enter, she immediately returned to normal. She gracefully wiped away her tears, raised her head high, and walked out of the room with a swaying gait.

"Come in, don't just stand there spacing out." Lu Qingcheng lay down on the bed. The white fox hopped in from outside, leaped to the bedside, and howled loudly. Lu Qingcheng grabbed it, "Is your injury healed? Doesn't it hurt anymore?"

Kiyomi Tsuki placed the late-night snack on the table. "I wasn't feeling well during the day, but I'm fine at night."

The white fox playfully nibbled at Lu Qingcheng's wrist, but Lu Qingcheng pinched its little snout with her other hand. "Wang Jie complained to me that you stole the dried meat her mother made again. Is that true?"

"Yes. But it wasn't stealing, it was taking. They took it and ate it, and the fox ate it too," Kiyomi Tsuki readily admitted.

The white fox broke free from Lu Qingcheng's hand, shook its silver fur, let out a joyful cry, and flicked its tail, happy to have become an accomplice with its master.

Lu Qingcheng sighed and said, "Jianyue, I don't need you to eat or drink, so please don't steal his dried meat, okay?"

Qing Jianyue pouted and said, "But Lord, his mother's dried meat is really delicious." Lu Qingcheng glared at him, and he quickly changed his mind, "Alright, I'll just leave him a piece next time I get some."

Lu Qingcheng was too lazy to waste her energy arguing with him, so she got up and took the bird's nest he offered. Qing Jianyue watched him eat a couple of bites, then suddenly stopped.

Kiyomi Tsuki asked, "Isn't it tasty?"

Unexpectedly, Lu Qingcheng suddenly asked, "Lei Yongxiang likes his sister-in-law Yang Xueli, so why didn't Cai Bo'an mention it at all in his letter?"

Kiyoshi's heart skipped a beat. She thought to herself: Since Cai Bo'an didn't mention it at all in the letter, and I didn't say anything either, how did you find out?

Lu Qingcheng's deep gaze was fixed on Qing Jianyue's face. "Why aren't you saying anything?"

Could it be that he planted a spy among Cai Bofa's men? Thinking this, Qing Jianyue's heart pounded even harder. He took a deep breath and replied, "I think that Chief Enforcer Cai must believe that it doesn't matter which woman Lei Yongxiang likes; what matters is that he can take over the position of the Third Lord and is willing to serve the Lord of the Fortress."

Kiyoshi said with dissatisfaction, "What are you saying? I have the thinnest skin; you could squeeze water out of it with just a pinch."

Lu Qingcheng's gaze swept over his fair and delicate face, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter in her heart. She quickly lowered her head to eat the bird's nest, finishing it in a few bites.

"Want more?" Kiyomi Tsuki took the bowl.

"No need. Take the rest out and eat it yourself. Don't waste it." Lu Qingcheng raised her hand to unbutton her clothes, preparing to take off her clothes and go to sleep.

Qing Jianyue, beaming, picked up the bird's nest soup and said happily, "Please rest, Lord. I'm just outside. If you need anything, please feel free to call me."

This kid, he'd risk his life for food. Lu Qingcheng suddenly had a mischievous thought and shouted, "Wait a minute!"

"Please give your orders, Lord."

"Help me undress."

Qing Jianyue's hand trembled slightly when it touched his waist. She tried several times but couldn't untie it. Growing impatient, she gave it a sharp tug. The belt didn't come off, but it tore Lu Qingcheng's pants, and her gaze fell directly on that area. Qing Jianyue was almost mortified and hurriedly covered herself.

Just as they were wondering what to do, Lu Qingcheng suddenly reached out and pinched Qing Jianyue's chin, lifting it up. When their eyes met, they both couldn't help but tremble.

In an instant, the atmosphere in the room became ambiguous.

Qing Jianyue felt extremely uncomfortable, a strange feeling welling up inside her. She could only glare at him, opening her mouth but unable to utter a word. Lu Qingcheng's gaze changed; his usually cold and deep eyes suddenly seemed to burn with two flames, scorching and intense. Under his gaze, Qing Jianyue's face turned even redder, and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

Suddenly, Lu Qingcheng sat on the bed, raised her foot, and commanded, "Take off your boots."

Kiyomi Tsuki let out a long sigh, knelt down, and hugged his legs, her mind still racing. That look in his eyes...it was like he wanted to devour her. Was he not full? If he wasn't full, why was he pretending to be? Was he trying to lose weight?
