Kiyomi Tsuki and His Fox - Chapter 32

Chapter 32

It's no wonder they're so afraid. The strength of Tianlong Fortress is simply too formidable. Coupled with Fengyue Manor, if they were to join forces with the Tianying Sect, Lu Family Fortress would surely be annihilated.

Kiyomi Tsuki quietly observed the expressions on everyone's faces. Suddenly, he saw a sly, triumphant smile flash across Qingfeng's face. Although it was fleeting, Kiyomi Tsuki, as perceptive as an eagle, caught it. Kiyomi Tsuki thought: He's threatening me. Perhaps his information is true, but things might not develop as terrible as I imagine.

“It’s not that bad.” Kiyomi Tsuki couldn’t hold back any longer. “I actually think this is good news.”

All the surprised looks on everyone's eyes were fixed on him.

"Why do you say that?" As expected of the lord of a fortress, Lu Qingcheng quickly calmed down.

Qing Jianyue feigned surprise, "Don't you know? Madam Long utterly despises Feng Piaoxiang. Feng Piaoxiang is a lecherous scoundrel. The first time he met Madam Long and Madam Long's second wife, he saw two stunningly beautiful women sitting above him and fainted, almost wetting his pants. Madam Long reprimanded him in public, showing him no respect whatsoever. From then on, whenever Feng Piaoxiang saw Madam Long, he would tremble like a mouse before a cat. That idiot Li Ying made a huge mistake in trying to win him over."

The expressions on everyone's faces changed rapidly.

"How could Young Master Jianyue know so clearly?" Bai Yiting asked.

Kiyomi Tsuki immediately felt the sharp, arrow-like gaze directed at him by the wind. Even so, he pretended to know nothing and said nonchalantly, "I'm a street performer, wandering around everywhere. Where haven't I been? What don't I know?"

Lu Qingcheng calmly said, "Qingfeng's news is very important and cannot be ignored. But who are Long Zhenyu and Kang Boying? Are they people who can be swayed by a petty person's deliberate attempts to win them over? Jian Yue is right, things may not be as bad as we imagine. We need to make a calm judgment."

His few words calmed Cai Bo'an, Lin Feng, Lei Yongxiang, Cai Zhonghe, and Bai Yiting down. They then began to make various assumptions and deductions. While they continued their discussion, Qingfeng's attention was entirely focused on Qing Jianyue.

This time, Qing Jian Yue didn't avoid his gaze. Instead, she opened her clear, bright black eyes wide and looked at Qing Feng. It was as if she was telling Qing Feng, "Yes, I know what you're thinking."

A fierce light flashed in Qingfeng's eyes, a light so cruel it resembled that of a heartless beast.

Kiyomi Tsuki gazed at him calmly, his eyes as serene as a dark blue sea, yet the powerful confidence they held was unyielding to any force. Gradually, under his gentle gaze, Qingfeng calmed down. Suddenly, Qingfeng chuckled softly, and Kiyomi Tsuki laughed too, like a child who knew nothing, innocent, pure, and happy.

"We cannot allow the Sky Eagle Sect to form an alliance with the Wind and Moon Manor," Lei Yongxiang said.

Bai Yiting said, "I have an idea. Since Li Ying started with Fengyue Manor, why don't we start with Tianlong Fortress?"

Lu Qingcheng nodded.

"I heard that Madam Long's birthday is coming soon." Qingfeng's gaze shifted, and he said lazily, "Cousin, why don't you send someone capable to her?"

Lu Qingcheng glanced at her cousin with a beaming smile, looking so happy and joyful, before turning to Cai Zhonghe and saying, "Zhonghe, why don't you go?"

Cai Zhonghe stood up and said, "Your subordinate obeys."

Lu Qingcheng smiled with satisfaction: "I have the most confidence in Zhonghe going. However, since we are going to send a gift, it must be one that Madam Long likes. Otherwise, we will only be asking for trouble."

“That’s right.” Cai Zhonghe pondered, “On that day, Li Ying will undoubtedly be among those who give gifts. And this villain’s gift will certainly not be light.”

Kiyomi Tsuki immediately raised one hand, eager to speak.

Lu Qingcheng said, "Just say what you have to say, no need to raise your hand."

Everyone was watching him, listening to what profound insights he would have to offer next.

"Lord of the Fortress, I have a hairpin that I can give to Madam Long." Qing Jianyue's eyes crinkled into crescent moons as she smiled, looking like she was presenting a treasure.

Lu Qingcheng cursed, "You bastard, would Madam Long even care about a hairpin?"

Qing Jianyue exclaimed, "Lord of the Fortress, others may not care about this hairpin of mine, but Madam Long will."

Cai Zhonghe laughed and asked, "What's the story behind it?"

"Of course there is." Kiyomi Tsuki said in a very arrogant manner. "This story goes back to three years ago."

Everyone stared at him in silence.

"Three years ago, Lord Long accompanied his wife to Shandong to visit their daughter and son-in-law. They happened to stay at an inn. I still remember the name of that inn; it was called Shunfeng Inn."

That night, I couldn't sleep and went for a walk. I noticed some suspicious people behaving furtively, so out of curiosity, I followed them. They sneaked into a luxurious guest house. At that time, I didn't know that Lord Long and his wife were staying there. I called out to them to warn them of assassins and then hid.

The rest is history. Lord Long took care of all the assassins in the blink of an eye, and then his wife came out and stood in the flower bushes where I was hiding. After they went inside and his servants cleaned up, I crawled out of the flower bushes and found a hairpin.

Just as I climbed the tree, ready to jump over the wall and leave, Lord Long and his wife came out of the house again, searching the ground with lanterns. Lord Long said, "It's just a hairpin. Let it go; we can just make another one." Lady Long complained, "This hairpin was a gift from you on our wedding night. You even engraved it with your own words. How can you just throw it away?" His wife's command was not to be disobeyed, so Lord Long crawled on the ground for half an hour, but still couldn't find it.

Everyone burst into laughter.

"If this hairpin can be returned to its rightful owner, you can imagine how overjoyed Madam Long will be," Cai Zhonghe said with a smile. "After all that, where is the hairpin?"

"This one?" Kiyomizuki said with a grin.

"What are you grinning about?" Cai Bo'an urged, "Hurry up and take out the hairpin."

"How much?" Lu Qingcheng knew him best.

"Money?" Cai Bo'an was completely confused.

Kiyomi immediately held up one finger.

“One hundred?” Lu Qingcheng said.

“One thousand,” Kiyomi Tsuki called out.

"Too expensive. How about two hundred?"

"No, no. This hairpin of mine is no ordinary hairpin. If I were to ask Lord Long, he would give me at least five hundred."

"Three hundred. I don't care who you go to, you can only sell it to me now."

"Okay, okay, let's make it clear first, I want the yellow ones, not the white ones."

"Enough with the nonsense, hurry up and get the hairpin."

To everyone's astonishment, Qing Jianyue took a small cloth bag from her pouch and handed it to Lu Qingcheng. Upon opening it, a beautifully crafted hairpin, gleaming with dazzling light, was revealed before them.
