Kiyomi Tsuki and His Fox - Chapter 47

Chapter 47

Bai Yiting placed a chess piece on the chessboard and said gently, "Rabbit, I warned you long ago. Although Fox is a fox, it is loyal to Young Master Jianyue, and has vowed to stay by his side until death. If Young Master Jianyue, who is human, were to betray us first, wouldn't that be a disgrace to us humans?"

Kiyomi Tsuki's face, which had been full of imposing manner just moments before, immediately changed, and he practically begged with a fawning expression.

"Manager Bai, I'll call you Dad, but hurry up and persuade your daughter, okay? The snacks won't taste good if they get cold."

Lu Qingcheng nearly fell off the couch. Bai Yiting burst into loud laughter.

Having lost so much face, the white rabbit was not about to let it go. She became fierce again, "Don't even try, I'll throw them all into the pond to feed the fish, and you won't get any."

"No!" Kiyomi Tsuki hugged the table tightly, tears streaming down her face like a fountain. "It's too cruel. You can't do this."

"Then agree to my conditions."

"We cannot agree to that."

"If you don't agree to my terms, I'll throw you into the pond to feed the fish."

"You're wasting your time; you'll be punished by heaven."

"I'm so angry!"

Looking at the two noisy guys, Cai Bo'an said incredulously, "I really suspect that this kid has never been full, or that he is a reincarnated starving ghost."

Bai Yiting smiled broadly, "This room is full of snacks. Even ten strong men eating them together could burst their stomachs."

“As far as I know, the Lord of the Fortress never eats snacks,” Cai Bo’an continued.

The two of them stared at Lu Qingcheng meaningfully.

Lu Qingcheng snorted and focused her attention on the chessboard.

The white fox's ears twitched slightly. Suddenly, it pounced on the window, letting out a long howl. In an instant, the room fell silent. The autumn wind blew, carrying with it the chilling sounds of battle cries.

Lu Qingcheng said calmly, "Has it started yet? It seems we'll have to wait a while before playing this game."

Bai Yiting and Cai Bo'an bowed and said, "Your subordinates will take their leave now."

"Rabbit," Bai Yiting called out.

"Yes, Father." The white rabbit glared at him before leaving and said, "Don't steal any. When I come back, I'll throw them back into the pond to feed the fish."

Kiyomi Tsuki made a face at her back.

Wang Jie entered the room, bringing a cloak and a precious sword, and helped Lu Qingcheng with her makeup. Afterwards, Wang Jie brought a cloth bag, opened it, and took out a black vest.

"Jianyue," Lu Qingcheng called out.

"Um?"

Qing Jianyue's mouth was stuffed full, and her hands were full of snacks. Wang Jie couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"I'm really fed up with him." Lu Qingcheng strode towards him. "Take off your outer robe." Qing Jianyue blinked his crystal-black eyes, completely bewildered. However, before he could think any further, Lu Qingcheng had already begun to remove his outer robe. Qing Jianyue almost choked on the food in his mouth. "Fortress... Fortress Master..." "Shut up. Don't move, I won't eat you." Lu Qingcheng ordered roughly, "Put on your vest."

Qing Jian Yue stared, his face flushed, at the black vest Wang Jie had brought him, his mind filled with confusion. Why did Lu Qing Cheng want him to wear that ugly vest? Did it hold some important secret? His mind was clouded with doubt as he stared blankly as Lu Qing Cheng helped him put on the black vest, then put on his outer robe and draped the cloak. A thought flashed through his mind like lightning, and Qing Jian Yue cried out.

Lu Qingcheng frowned and said, "Don't wail like a banshee."

"Lord of the castle, is there a secret treasure of our castle hidden in this vest?" Qing Jianyue's crystal black eyes sparkled with excitement, filled with gold ingots.

Lu Qingcheng's face looked as if she had been slapped with feces.

Wang Jie thought to herself: Poor Lord of the Fortress!

"Who would entrust something so important to a stupid idiot like you?" Lu Qingcheng roared.

Kiyomi Tsuki was so frightened that her face turned pale.

Zhang Zhichun strode into the room and reported, "Lord, the Second Lord has sent word that the enemy has breached the castle gates and will be here soon. Please, you and Young Master Jianyue, mount your horses quickly."

"Stay by my side and don't wander off. If you want to dream, wait until dawn." After scolding, Lu Qingcheng strode out of the room.

Kiyomi Tsuki picked up the white fox and followed behind dejectedly, muttering angrily under her breath, "Even if I'm not smart enough, you don't have to be so vicious with my words."

Chapter Twenty-Two: The Final Battle

Outside the academy, torches lit up half the sky, and twenty iron-clad cavalrymen stood in a proud, imposing line. As soon as Lu Qingcheng and the others emerged, a clear, melodious neigh rang out, and Feiyun broke free from its groom's grasp, wagging its tail and galloping towards Qing Jianyue. Qing Jianyue put down the white fox and quickly embraced its neck affectionately.

The white fox jumped angrily below. "Master, what's so great about that stinky horse? I'm your most beloved fox!" Fei Yun raised his hooves and stomped, determined to break its neck. The white fox, terrified, circled around its master and fled, abandoning all semblance of fox king decorum.

Over there, Lu Qingcheng nimbly mounted a robust, all-black BMW and shouted, "Jian Yue, you still dare to be naughty at a time like this."

Kiyomi Tsuki stuck out her tongue, hurriedly grabbed the white fox and stuffed it into the pouch in her bosom, then nimbly leaped onto Feiyun's back.

The earth trembled beneath the iron hooves of the warhorses as the twenty-odd riders galloped at breakneck speed. A white fox emerged from the pouch in Kiyomi Tsuki's arms, its snow-white fur ruffled by the oncoming autumn wind. In the blink of an eye, the twenty-odd riders had exited the inner city gate and arrived at the large drill ground, which could hold a thousand men.

The outer city gates had been breached by the enemy, and Lin Feng was leading the Lu Family Fort warriors in a fierce battle. Cai Bo'an and his daughter Bai Yiting led two teams of men to quickly meet them.

Cai Bo'an roared angrily, "Lord, I have failed in my duty! Liu Jianhua was rescued by his accomplices, killed the brothers guarding the city, opened the castle gates, and colluded with Li Yingli to kill us, catching us completely off guard!"

Bai Yiting advised, "For the safety of the fortress lord, please have your subordinates escort you to evacuate immediately."

Lu Qingcheng angrily said, "How can we flee without a fight?"

However, unable to withstand the enemy's fierce advance, Lin Feng led his warriors in retreat. Nearly a thousand Sky Eagle Cult warriors stormed in, and the young man at the head raised his sword and shouted, "Lu Qingcheng, dismount and kneel to surrender!"

Cai Bo'an said, "It's Li Ying."

Kiyomi Tsuki opened her eyes wide to get a better look. Under the bright torchlight, Li Ying's face was clearly illuminated. He appeared to be around twenty-five years old, with a hooked nose like an eagle's, and a pair of triangular eyes that gleamed with a chilling light, giving him a sinister and ruthless air. He sat upright on his horse, his sword pointing steadily in their direction, exuding the heroic aura of someone commanding thousands of troops. A feeling of disgust immediately welled up in Kiyomi Tsuki's heart.
