Chapter 1
"How many times has this happened? At least three times, right? It's true what they say, 'Once is unfamiliar, twice is familiar, three times is...'"
"Come on, this is alright. The dorm we lived in during our language class was so cramped that if even a little water got into the food while cooking, it would immediately trigger the alarm. I'm used to it."
"The problem is, it's one thing for the alarm to go off while I'm cooking at night, but what the hell happened at 3 a.m.? Which idiot set up the smoke alarm?"
"Could it be the new guy smoking in the middle of the night?"
"Damn, Chi Cheng, you still have time to grab the Switch."
Zhao Yongbin and Fang Ze noticed that Chi Cheng hadn't made a sound for a while, and then they saw that he was leaning against the dormitory wall playing a video game. In the dark, and with him half-turned, they hadn't seen him playing the Switch.
If the fire alarm hadn't been so loud, you could actually hear Zelda's monster-fighting sound effects if you got close.
Logically, these international students, whose families are not poor, should have no problem getting one of the new Nintendo consoles. However, when the fire alarm went off, despite the complaints, everyone grabbed their passports and phones and rushed downstairs. There was no time to grab a game console.
Chi Cheng lazily raised his eyes, annoyed that the two of them were blocking his view, so he simply shoved the Switch into Fang Ze's hands, stretched, and brushed his messy bangs aside.
He even looked at his reflection in the glass door of the dormitory. He was wearing a thin white sweater, and after smoothing his bangs, he looked even more handsome and refined.
"Because I didn't sleep at all. I was playing FIFA online with someone when the fire alarm went off."
"..."

Once Fang Ze took it, he wouldn't let go and started playing with it himself.
Chi Cheng reached out to take it twice, but the other man held it tightly to his chest each time, so he simply gave up. "Is it really worth it for just a little while? Go back and play with your game."
Fang Ze sighed, "Didn't I attend a ten-week language course? My dad was afraid I wouldn't pass the language course and would be deported, so he insisted on leaving my Switch at home."
The three of them discussed the game for a while, and their anger at being woken up by the fire alarm in the middle of the night subsided considerably.
At this moment, no one cared that the alarm in the dormitory building was still flashing red and making loud noise.
In less than a minute, they were already talking about a heated topic.
"Actually, this is the best time to see a girl's looks. By this time, all the girls have taken off their makeup, and since they're wearing pajamas, you can really see their figures."
"Did you see anything nice?"
"No."
Chi Cheng looked around and came to the conclusion that "the quality of the girls in this building is really average."
Even Fang Ze, who was engrossed in the game, glanced up a few times: "You can't say that. Didn't you see that long-haired girl in the blue nightgown? She's pretty and has a great figure."
Chi Cheng scoffed, "Didn't you see her boyfriend standing there? They obviously got off the same bed."
Fang Ze looked up again and sure enough, the boy was wearing the same pajamas. He immediately felt a pang of heartache.
Zhao Yongbin suddenly remembered and asked Chi Cheng, "You have a girlfriend, right?"
"No."
He looked at the obsidian earring glittering beside Chi Cheng's wispy bangs with suspicion. "Which side is that earring from again?"
Zhao Yongbin is from Hong Kong. He is open-minded and humorous. Chi Cheng knows that he has misunderstood.
"What are you thinking? We broke up a few months ago."
Fang Ze looked up in surprise upon hearing this, "Brother Chi, when did you get a girlfriend?"
"It's been around for a long time, you just didn't know."
Seeing that Fang Ze still looked surprised, Chi Cheng reached out to take back the Switch, but Fang Ze quickly dodged and lowered his head to play the game.
While commenting, Zhao Yongbin said, "Look at that short-haired girl, the one wearing flip-flops, her legs are really beautiful."
Chi Cheng looked over and saw that her legs were indeed thin, white and straight. The main thing was that she came down wearing pajamas and shorts, and her thin, white legs were shivering from the cold.
Chi Cheng gave a fair assessment: "Nice legs, average face."
Zhao Yongbin, increasingly resentful after Chi Cheng picked out several girls he liked, watched as a girl hurriedly pushed open the dormitory door and ran out. As the door closed, it lifted a strand of hair from the side of her face, revealing a face that could express both anger and joy. Her skin, even without makeup, was porcelain white, and more importantly, she exuded a sophisticated aloofness.
Zhao Yongbin hurriedly nudged Chi Cheng with his elbow.
"Hey, look, the good ones are all at the back, like that girl who just came out."
Upon hearing this, Chi Cheng looked over and switched to Cantonese when he turned back to speak to Zhao Yongbin.
"generally."
They all speak Cantonese, and they often mix it in. It's not uncommon for them to say half a sentence in Mandarin and half in Cantonese, let alone when they also mix in English.
Zhao Yongbin also subconsciously switched to Cantonese, eagerly pointing to the woman and saying, "How could that be? You must be mistaken. It's the one in the dark green pajamas, with super fair skin."
Of all the girls, she was the most dressed. She wore a dark green pajama set with long sleeves and pants, and a black trench coat draped over her shoulders. Even though she was covered up so much, her figure was still quite alluring. Compared to the other girls who had been scrutinized earlier, she was indeed fair-skinned, beautiful, and had long legs.
