Aviso de muerte 2 Destino - Capítulo 15
She couldn't wait any longer; she had to turn around immediately to see who it was. When she turned around, she saw a man standing not far away, dressed in tattered clothes and with disheveled hair.
No! To be precise, he was a beggar. He stood there blankly, his eyes glazed over, looking rather foolish, muttering to himself, "I intend to marry you, for life. Even if I am... even if I am... even if I am what? What exactly is it?" He couldn't remember the last two lines, so he frowned and pondered, occasionally scratching his head like a child frustrated and anxious about not being able to recite the poem.
Ling'er was stunned. She scrutinized him closely. Was this Zhu Chengyu? Was this Zhu Chengyu? How did this nemesis become like this? He just kept reciting the poem to himself, as if no one else was around. But when he got to the last two lines, he couldn't continue.
She gazed at him, tears welling in her eyes. Cheng Yu, Ling'er's Cheng Yu! The name she had called out a thousand times in her heart. Now he stood before her. But was this him? Was it really him? Where had her dreamlike Zhu Cheng Yu gone? His deep, affectionate eyes, his enigmatic smile, his slightly furrowed brows, his dashing figure, his imposing stature? Had they all truly vanished like smoke and clouds, like a dream, like a shadow? Was the person before her truly the Cheng Yu she had longed for day and night, the one who haunted her dreams?
Yes! This is Zhu Chengyu! It's Ling'er's Zhu Chengyu! Although he has become mentally impaired and unrecognizable, Ling'er can still recognize him at a glance. Not because he looks like him, nor because they recite the same poem. Tell me, what woman in the world wouldn't recognize her husband? Let alone a living person standing right in front of her, even just a glance, a silhouette, or a soft sigh, they can accurately determine if it's their husband!
He kept muttering, "Zongbei..., Zongbei..., what exactly is Zongbei? Ugh!" He was getting angry, angry at himself, angry that he couldn't remember the last two lines.
Ling'er froze, her face contorted in an almost convulsive expression. She trembled as she replied, "Even if I am heartlessly abandoned, I will not be ashamed!"
When Zhu Chengyu heard Ling'er recite the following lines of poetry, he looked up at her with a delighted smile. He ran to Ling'er's side and asked excitedly, "So you know it too! I just couldn't remember the next two lines. Thank you so much!"
"Cheng Yu!" Ling'er, filled with fear and terror, grabbed his arm and shook him violently. Her eyes were filled with tears, pleading and begging for forgiveness. She asked in a trembling voice, "Why don't you recognize me? I'm Ling'er!"
Zhu Chengyu scrutinized her with a strange, cold, and distrustful gaze, as if he had never seen her before. He shook Ling'er, and this look and action only made Ling'er more heartbroken.
"You really don't recognize me anymore?" she asked, still unwilling to give up.

Reply [43]: Zhu Chengyu suddenly grabbed her chin and commanded, "Don't cry! You'll look ugly if you cry." Ling'er raised her tearful eyes to look at him, her silver teeth clenching her lower lip, "Chengyu!"
Zhu Chengyu said in a serious tone, "Since you're so beautiful, I can't be too ugly. Alright then, I'll show you my most beautiful features." With that, Zhu Chengyu opened his mouth, stretching his lips wide to reveal two rows of perfectly white teeth, while making soft "ee-ee" sounds. Despite Zhu Chengyu's beggar-like appearance, his teeth were indeed very beautiful.
"Am I pretty?" Zhu Chengyu asked smugly. Ling'er was at a loss for words at this sudden question.
"Am I pretty or not? Am I pretty or not?" He was a little annoyed and kept asking.
"Beautiful, beautiful!" she murmured.
"Really?" Zhu Chengyu's face was filled with excitement, but also disbelief.
"real!"
Zhu Chengyu was overjoyed. He raised his head, tilted his head back, and shouted at the top of his lungs, "She said I'm beautiful! She said I'm beautiful! I am beautiful! I am beautiful!"
"Chengyu!" Ling'er choked out, her heart filled with anguish. Suddenly, she threw herself into his arms, burying her tear-streaked face in his embrace. She clung tightly to his waist, as if he would disappear if she let go. She cried out, "Chengyu, what's wrong? What's wrong with you? Don't you really recognize me?"
Zhu Chengyu ignored her and continued reciting that poem. Ling'er's heart was breaking as she listened, and tears streamed down her face like a burst dam, her shoulders shaking as she cried.
Zhu Chengyu felt her trembling. He slowly lowered his head and saw the long-lost pearl hairpin adorning Ling'er's cloud-like black hair. As Ling'er trembled, the hairpin trembled incessantly. A feeling of pity rose in Zhu Chengyu's heart. He felt sorry for the hairpin and thought it shouldn't be trembling anymore. So he took it off and examined it carefully, as if studying and pondering something.
Suddenly, Zhu Chengyu said softly, "I've got it! The last two lines are: 'If I live, I will return; if I die, I will long for you forever!'"
Ling'er trembled again. She sobbed and looked up, asking hesitantly, "Chengyu, you remember!"
Zhu Chengyu didn't answer. He took a few steps back, looked at Ling'er, and then at the hairpin in his hand. Suddenly, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, and a sly glint flashed in his eyes, which was then replaced by his blank stare.
"You!" Ling'er was furious. She was incredibly intelligent; how could she miss the subtle change in Zhu Chengyu's expression? Forgetting all about status and manners, she pointed at him and cursed, "You, Zhu Chengyu, dare to play the fool in front of me? Come here!"
Zhu Chengyu was taken aback, and then that same roguish smile he had shown when they first met reappeared on his face.
"Come here!" Ling'er shouted, barely containing her anger. Zhu Chengyu didn't come over; instead, he took a few steps back. Ling'er was truly enraged. She took a step forward and raised her hand to strike him. Seeing that Ling'er was about to hit him, Zhu Chengyu turned and ran away with a mocking laugh.
The laughter further enraged Ling'er. She took a few steps forward, but Zhu Chengyu was running extremely fast, and she couldn't catch up at all. Ling'er simply gave up. She was anxious, angry, and aggrieved. She stomped her foot and shouted, "Stop right there!"
That one shout actually worked; Zhu Chengyu stopped. He slowly turned around to look at her, his gaze unable to leave her face. They stood there, their eyes locked, their gazes firmly and tightly intertwined.
Ling'er didn't want to cry anymore, but tears still flowed uncontrollably. She didn't want to face him, so she turned away, gazing at the lake, silently weeping.
Suddenly, Ling'er felt someone hug her from behind. The familiar body temperature and the gentle feeling told her that it was Zhu Chengyu!
She struggled in frustration, trying to escape his grasp, but he held her even tighter, as if trying to embed her into his body.
"Ling'er, I was wrong!" Zhu Chengyu's magnetic voice rang in her ears.
"What did you do wrong? You've finally decided to come back?"
He remained silent for a long while before softly saying, "I was wrong in every way! I... I can't live without you!" It was that childlike tone again, and even her heart of iron softened.
"Chengyu!" Ling'er called softly, turning around and embracing him tightly without hesitation. She hooked her arms around his neck, and tears welled up in her eyes again, as if she wanted to turn all her endless longing into tears and spray them into his arms. Zhu Chengyu's eyes also moistened. He simply held Ling'er without moving, letting her run wild in his arms.
After a while, she finished crying and slowly raised her head, her eyes filled with boundless tenderness and reluctance. She lovingly stroked his eyebrows, eyes, and nose with her hand, finally placing it on his lips.
Zhu Chengyu felt Ling'er's fingers were so cold. He took her hand, gently pecked at her fingers, then pressed her hand against his face. His eyes were fixed on her cherry lips, and he leaned his head closer to them. But he did not kiss her; he only softly murmured, "I will return when I am alive."
Ling'er's excited eyes kept scanning his face, and she replied tremblingly, "I will die longing for you!" A complex emotion flashed in Zhu Chengyu's eyes, and then he quickly pressed his burning lips with the tenderness of a volcano against hers... This is Zhu Chengyu! This is Ling'er's husband! Her gentle, playful, affectionate, and tender husband has finally returned! Ling'er shed tears of happiness and joy---The Magpie Bridge Fairy replied [44]: Epilogue "Mother! Mother! Get up, the sun is already high! Get up quickly!" The six-year-old Princess of Suning ran in from outside, she wanted to wake her dear mother up for her father. She had two small braids, her face was rosy, her eyes were clear and bright, and her eyes were completely inherited from her mother--Ling'er, with long eyelashes naturally curled. She went straight to the bedside, calling her mother to get up while gently shaking her body, just like Zhu Chengyu.
Hearing the sweet child's voice, Ling'er opened her sleepy eyes. Standing before her was her lovely little daughter, Zhu Chengyu's precious darling. She would never forget the first time Ruoling opened her eyes after being born, Zhu Chengyu exclaimed, "A pair of Ling'er's eyes, both so bright and spirited!" From then on, she had a name—Ruoling.
Ling'er sat up, pulled Ruoling into her arms, looked at her with infinite love, and stroked the soft hair that clung to her face. Her heart was instantly filled with maternal tenderness.
"Mother, you're awake?" Ruoling asked.
"With you making such a racket, it's hard not to wake up!" Ling'er looked out the window; the sun had just risen, and it was still early.
"Father said he's taking me horseback riding today and wants you to come along too! That's why I came to call you."
"Riding a horse?" Ling'er's eyes widened. "My lady, you're only six years old?"
"What's wrong with being six years old?" It was Zhu Chengyu who had returned. "How can my daughter not know how to ride a horse?"
"Father!" Ruoling ran to her father as soon as she saw him return. Zhu Chengyu bent down and picked her up. Ruoling immediately wrapped her little arms around her father's neck, gave him a wink, and mumbled, "Father, Mother might not want me to go?"
"Don't be afraid, I'll go talk to your mother. She listens to me the most."
"real?"
"Of course!" Zhu Chengyu said, then asked Ling'er, "Isn't that right?" Ling'er didn't answer and rolled her eyes at him.
Spring has come again, another gentle, tranquil, and intoxicating spring, a spring where even the breeze carries a hint of intoxication.
Zhu Chengyu took his wife and daughters on horseback for a spring outing. He rode one horse with Ruoling and Ling'er rode another, the two horses moving slowly along.
Ruoling suddenly looked up and said, "Dad, can you tell me a story?"
"Okay! What do you want to hear? As long as Dad knows it, I'll definitely tell you." Zhu Chengyu always granted Ruoling's requests.
"It's the story that you stopped telling when Mom came last time."
"That? Let's talk about it later. Let's talk about something else today," Zhu Chengyu coaxed Ruoling.
"No, I want to hear that!"
Ling'er interjected, "What story is it? Can't I even hear it?"
"Mom, you should listen to this too, it's so beautiful."
Ling'er glanced at Zhu Chengyu and said, "Yes, it's because it sounds so good that your father told someone else about it! Chengyu, don't you agree?"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Ling'er, you're so smart!" Zhu Chengyu said with a smile, already sensing the hidden meaning in Ling'er's words.
"Ruoling, since that's the case, I'll tell you this story later. Let's talk about something else for today."
Before Ruoling could speak, Ling'er continued, "Ruoling, the stories your father tells, your mother can also tell. If you want to hear them, you have to start for your mother so that she can continue."
“Yes, Mother!” Ruoling replied respectfully, “Father said in his last letter that he was pushed into the water by a woman…” “What?” Ling’er exclaimed in embarrassment, “Chengyu, why did you tell Ruoling these things? Are you trying to make me angry to death?”
"You didn't say we couldn't tell Ruoling about this, did you?"
“Yes! Mother, you can’t do this. You know this already, why can’t you let Father tell me?” Ruoling finished speaking and glanced at Zhu Chengyu, whose eyes were filled with approval.
"Ruoling, you're so disobedient! Chengyu, look what you've done to Ruoling! And you're still laughing!"
"That's more like it!" Zhu Chengyu said proudly. "That's more like my daughter!"
"You! You want to..." Ling'er suddenly stopped, her face turned pale, her eyebrows furrowed, one hand covering her chest and the other covering her mouth.
"Ling'er, what's wrong? Ruoling, sit still, I'll go see your mother." Zhu Chengyu immediately dismounted when he saw Ling'er's strange expression, and without saying a word, he picked Ling'er up from the horse and asked anxiously, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Ling'er kept her lips tightly closed, remaining silent for a long time before finally managing to stammer, "Another one has come!"
"What? Another one?" he asked, puzzled.
Ling'er glared at him fiercely, then the corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up, her expression quite strange.
"I know!" Zhu Chengyu exclaimed in surprise, "So it's someone else who's made you angry!"
"You're so annoying!" Ling'er punched his shoulder in exasperation, but Zhu Chengyu quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms, laughing heartily. Happiness enveloped them tightly. Ling'er's eyes shone with a light more radiant than the sun, a light so dazzling that it made her entire face bloom with unparalleled beauty.
