Atavismo - Capítulo 34
A thick layer of dust had accumulated under my feet, and it felt soft and strange underfoot, like stepping on bloody flesh. Just thinking about it, and not being able to see clearly, made me feel nauseous.
Gu Feng and Shi Xin almost simultaneously thought of what happened that day in the Taekwondo club of the Sandao Society. The darkness now was comparable to that time. Gu Feng suddenly remembered the black, deathly face he saw that day, that terrifying, grotesque face that presented a dark and deadly appearance. The situation was much more frightening than it was now.
They walked for about three more minutes. Although they were not walking fast, the distance had definitely exceeded 100 meters. Although the tomb was huge, the depth was so long that it was unbelievable to them. If you counted the distance from the tombstone to the collapsed area, it was only 10 or 20 meters. So where does this road lead now?
Looking at the still dark and endless tunnel, Gu Feng felt a chill run down his spine for no reason. Did this ghostly path lead to the outside world or directly lead them to the underworld?
They gradually began to lose hope in their goal. It seemed that getting out of here was less effective than waiting to evolve at the bottom of that hole and grow wings to fly away.
Gu Feng suddenly stopped. Just a moment ago, he seemed to have seen someone flash past him.
A figure darker than complete darkness!
He couldn't see where the figure came from, but when he touched the spot where it disappeared, wasn't it a cave wall made of hard stone?
What's going on? Am I seeing things?
Gu Feng turned and glanced at the two people who were now completely blurred by the deep darkness: "Did you see them?"
To everyone's surprise, they all nodded in response.
Gu Feng hesitated. Should he continue through this strange tunnel, or turn back and think of another way?
He thought of the black wooden box, and the terrifying thing he realized was about to happen. The words of the female ghost Chu Yun'er still echoed in his ears, and the terrifying power of the thing in the box!
What could be more terrifying than this?
As Gu Feng thought of this, he was suddenly overjoyed. How could he have forgotten her?
Chu Yun'er, whose seventh soul has possessed her!
Gu Feng began to silently chant in his heart: "Hey, are you there? Hey."
He didn't know what appropriate term to use to call this female ghost named Chu Yun'er. He couldn't continue to call her "ancient corpse" as before, could he?
There's another problem with how to address her. In real life, you can just call her MM, Miss, or Young Lady. But Chu Yun'er is from hundreds of years ago, and she doesn't even look as mature as she does in ancient times. Should we call her Grandma, Aunt, or Sister?
In just a few seconds, Gu Feng had already raised so many concerns. Helplessly, he resorted to calling her "Hey," which should be more effective than calling her "Grandma."
No response?
Could it be because she doesn't understand when I call her "hey"?
So... you could say Gu Feng was very persistent, or you could say he was very foolish. He just used every name he knew for women, since Chu Yun'er was suitable for all ages and he didn't care about many other things.
Deep down, there was still no movement!
Seriously? Did they just run away without even saying a word?
Gu Feng was puzzled. What should he do without her guidance? The lives of the two people behind him were in his hands!
After much anticipation failed to elicit a response, Gu Feng, adopting a "take it easy" attitude, continued walking inside with his head down.
Just then, Shixin suddenly screamed from behind.
Gu Feng followed her gaze upwards and saw that the passageway ahead was filled with white skeletons. In the pitch-black space, the phosphorescent light emanating from the bones was indescribably mysterious and eerie!
General's Tomb 3: The Road to the Underworld

A reader questioned the names I created for the characters Ah Mao and Xiao Bing. Let me tell you, these two nicknames are based on real people, and they're even close friends of Yue Han (the fact that Yue Han doesn't object to infringing on their name rights shows the depth of their friendship). I added them to the book because their nicknames are distinctive, and besides, they really are like that, making it easier to write about them. Also, Yue Han wants to clarify that these are just nicknames! Their real names, of course, cannot be revealed. Most characters in the book are not given surnames to reduce the chance of sharing names with others. Yue Han's intentions are very good; how come no one can see that?
I can assure you that for the next month, there will be no possibility of timely updates. I explained the reason before: exams are the most important thing. Writing books doesn't make money; it's purely a hobby. Exams are more important, as they affect my future! 18.59

Gu Feng paused, his heart filled with hesitation once more. The skeleton itself wasn't so scary; what was worse was the unknown strange things hidden inside. To rush in like this was hardly a wise move.
Ah Mao's legs were already trembling slightly: "Brother Feng, should we go out? It's really strange in here. Should we make do for a bit and call someone to come and rescue us?"
Gu Feng grabbed a handful of hair in exasperation: "Do you think I'm dumber than you? If it were really feasible, would we still not have revealed it by now?"
Cat found it strange, took out his phone and pressed a button, only to find that the signal was zero!
"Maybe the signal is too weak in here, but you can probably make a call from outside."
“If I were to use the name you taught me, I would call myself Ah Mao.”
Ah Mao pointed inside: "But... do you really want to go in?"
Gu Feng nodded with a hint of helplessness. Although he might not gain anything from this trip, perseverance was better than sitting and waiting to die, wasn't it?
Gu Feng called out to them and continued walking inside…
With hundreds of skeletons, some hundreds of years old, hanging just inches above your head, the eerie feeling and chilling atmosphere of walking along this path is truly beyond the power of words to describe.
They walked forward, keeping their eyes fixed on their heads, lest one of the hanging skulls fall because the rope wasn't strong enough. If such an unfortunate thing happened, although it wouldn't be fatal, it would be enough to make the person involved feel nauseous for a while.
After walking cautiously for about fifty meters, they suddenly realized they had reached the end.
The passageway extends outwards in all directions, forming a sizable space in the dim underground. Its exact size is unclear, but Gu Feng's attention is not on it. He notices a large stone slab in front of him, more than three meters in diameter, covered with fine lines. Strange red lights are moving across these lines, just like the meridian diagrams he once read in a book.
In this completely dark place, such a thing was indeed very eye-catching. Several people were surprised and all stepped forward to get a closer look.
These glowing red things look like some kind of liquid. I wonder what strange power the ancients used to imbue them, that they seem to move tirelessly across this flat stone slab.
The more they looked, the more amazed they became. Ah Mao's silly expression made him almost want to reach out and touch the red, glowing liquid to see what it felt like to have it dripping on his hand.
Gu Feng suddenly yelled, "Are you crazy?"
Ah Mao mechanically and habitually withdrew her hand: "I just wanted to touch it."
"Who knows what this thing is made of? What if it's poisonous? Haven't you heard about that archaeological expedition two years ago where an archaeologist, out of curiosity, dipped his finger into what was supposedly the finest wine in a flask, and in just ten seconds, it turned into a pile of bones right under everyone's noses?"
Ah Mao suddenly seemed to remember that such a thing really existed. I was annoyed. Although I was quite fleshy, it seemed that even if I held on for a few more seconds in that situation, it wouldn't make any difference. In an instant, I was filled with fear at the constantly flowing red liquid and immediately retreated to what I considered a safe place more than three meters away from the stone plate.
Gu Feng observed for a while longer, his face still completely blank. Just then, from the other end of the dark corridor, a heart-wrenching explosion suddenly came, as if several tons of TNT had been detonated at once.
My heart skipped a beat, and two words immediately popped into my head.
"They're here!"
Seeing the two of them still staring in surprise at the passageway, looking at each other and wondering what had happened, Gu Feng quickly called out, "Quick, stop looking! Let's quickly search for any stone doors or mechanisms here."
They had no doubt about Gu Feng's anxious tone; trapped in such a place, who but a ghost could bear it?
Gu Feng probed and explored along the cave wall, tapping and feeling his way in one direction, glancing occasionally at the passage he had come from. His tension had reached a very high level.
Afraid?
It's definitely not.
He always maintains the mindset that he becomes stronger when faced with adversity!
No matter what level of world champion you are (eighth or ninth dan), as a human being, you will always have weaknesses and a current limit. Strength is limitless. As long as you are not a god who can control me, as long as I work hard, I am confident that I can defeat you. Time is not an obstacle! There are no absolute strongmen in this world. Invincibility is earned through relentless effort. A champion cannot be a champion forever (you may see this sentence in Yue Han's next book, it is copied from there).
Because of this mindset, even though he wasn't the strongest in the Three Paths Society, no one would deny that he was a hero. The insightful Bishop Yuan Hong especially valued him and granted him some privileges that other students could only dream of. As long as there are heroes, even the strongest person can be shaken.
What about now?
He was facing a "ghost" that could not be proven by science.
Does the old system for dealing with people still have the effect it should have?
Gu Feng understood that his concern wasn't there. Looking at the obedient Shi Xin and the other girl exploring everywhere, Gu Feng felt a surge of warmth within him—a feeling of exhilaration. He suddenly thought to himself:
"As long as I, Gu Feng, exist, I will not allow you to suffer even the slightest harm!"
"Such arrogance!"
"What?" Gu Feng was taken aback. He looked around and then immediately understood: "You're finally back."
"I didn't go anywhere at all."
"Then...why didn't you respond when I called you just now?"
"My dear grandson, I heard you! But Grandma is busy helping you find your lost power and doesn't have time to answer."
Why does the ancient style seem like it's being taken advantage of?
"And now?"
"You've already completed the first step?"
"Why don't I feel anything?"
"How could that be? Didn't you notice a warm sensation in your chest?"
"I'm so frustrated. Wasn't that my heroic spirit...?" Gu Feng asked, sounding a little guilty.
Chu Yun'er chuckled in his heart, then suddenly said seriously, "Here you are."

Gu Feng was startled and turned to look at the entrance of the passage.
Strange, wasn't it very dark just now? Now it seems much brighter, and I can even see that the side is made of long stone blocks.
Gu Feng was wondering what was going on when Chu Yun'er's words suddenly popped into his head: "Hehe, my good grandson, you've got results, haven't you!"
Gu Feng felt depressed again, muttering to herself, "Is this even allowed to live? She actually found out all my secrets. This is a complete invasion of my privacy. It seems I can't keep things to myself anymore."
"Hehe, you haven't reached the point where you don't think about things on your mind yet."
I fainted, and she heard me again!
Gu Feng suddenly felt a tightness in the air, instinctively sensing something.
The path we came in through was blocked by something, and it was slowly "squeezing" in.
Seeing the two people over there who seemed completely unaffected and were diligently searching for a way out, Gu Feng couldn't help but worry.
"Can I beat it?"
"You mean things outside?"
Gu Feng nodded
