Hmm... it seems that the drop rate of boss-level monsters really does need a guaranteed drop mechanism.
So I wrote down a few suggestions for improvement, and made it clear that I would take a look back.
Xia Xiaocheng stood where the boss's corpse had disappeared, still pacing around in bewilderment.
219. The Power of Design
Once Mingyan and Xiacheng finish defeating the Volcano Dragon, this internal test of the studio will basically be over.
Xia Cheng felt the game experience was complete and couldn't help but ask, "Is there anything else that hasn't been done? It looks like it's ready to be released."
“We’re still far from it.” Mingyan filled out the test form without looking up. “Right now, we only have two things: ‘monsters’ and the environment.”
Xia Cheng asked, "What's still missing?"
Mingyan chuckled, "What's still missing is the customization of hunters, including appearance, physique, clothing, and other physical attributes; what's still missing is the randomization of hunter camps, NPC relationships, movements, and daily storylines, as well as the randomization of ordinary side quests; and also random map generation for the wild environment, the relationships and food chains of various monster species, and the combat AI and daily storylines of each monster..."
Xia Cheng looked on with a bewildered yet impressed expression: "The designer is awesome."
Take the volcano dragon as an example. Now it just stays inside the volcano, waiting for hunters to come and fight it.
But what the designers are still working on is what the volcano dragon can do while waiting for the hunter, and what it can do in addition to fighting the hunter.
In Mingyan's design drafts, the Volcanic Dragon is enormous, weighing at least 20 tons and over 50 tons, making it the most difficult monster for four-star hunters to challenge.
Despite its large size and fierce appearance, the Volcano Dragon is actually an omnivore. It doesn't like to eat meat or vegetables, but prefers to use its forelimbs to hold metal ores and crunch on them.
Most volcano dragons have different personalities and, like humans, various quirks. However, they all share the common trait of valuing their territory and disliking being invaded by hunters, which may lead them to spend considerable time relentlessly pursuing them.
In addition, the volcano dragon likes to scratch itself on volcanic rocks, which may cause some parts of the mountain to shake, startling a large number of small animals on the volcano map into fleeing in panic.
The volcano dragon will cooperate with the rock snake. The former will not eat the rock snake, while the latter will clean the volcano dragon's scales to remove the volcanic ash that has accumulated inside. Sometimes, it will even brush its teeth...
Some rarer phenomena may not have been discovered by hunters at first.
However, as players explore further, they will eventually become immersed in this incredibly realistic world.
At that time, they might sigh:
[What an amazing phenomenon of biological cooperation! We need a group of biologists to settle in the Hunter world!]
The ecosystem is so complete... I almost suspect the designer lived here.
All of this is the work of the designers.
The Blue Star Building is brightly lit day and night. The employees enjoy the best treatment and honors in the Sixth Star Province, and of course, they are also working hard to produce the best content.
Unlike other companies, Bluestar's goal is not profit or fame, but to set a benchmark.
Today, they have created a game that, in terms of hardware conditions such as graphics, design concepts, and the implementation of a certain cutting-edge technology, has become a top-tier production that the industry cannot surpass, setting a ceiling-like example for all subsequent open-world hunting games.
It's like if other companies were to make a post-apocalyptic survival game.
People seem to come with their own rating scale—
[This abandoned city doesn't look realistic enough; there weren't mountains of abandoned cars and corpses along the evacuation route. Thumbs down!]
[It's already the end of the world, and you still have the mood to make fried rice like usual? Couldn't you handle it like you would when Earth was destroyed? The friendships forged on the brink of death are truly precious...]
The plot wasn't that shocking; it had a sense of apocalypse, but lacked a sense of mission. I'd give it five stars.
Without the groundbreaking "Blue Planet Apocalypse" series, players would still be unable to imagine what a perfect post-apocalyptic survival game should look like.
Perhaps the entire post-apocalyptic survival genre will gradually become neglected and forgotten in the gaming world.
Blue Star's status is already that of an industry emperor, and there's no way to rise any higher. What they are doing is a grand blueprint that no one in the industry has ever achieved before.
For example, Blue Star Paradise, an experience center derived from Blue Star Carnival, has now completed the renovation of its first phase.
The park is divided into three areas: the Age of Legends, the Arena, and the Post-Apocalypse.
The first "Legendary Era" area mainly features medieval works from Blue Star, including "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," the "Assassin's Creed" series, "Inside," and "Minecraft."
The second "Arena" area is easier to understand; it features player-versus-player games such as League of Legends and Dragon Hunter.
The last "After the Apocalypse" zone includes games with interstellar backgrounds such as Star River, Hunter World, and the Mortal Souls series.
Along the main roads of each park, there are naturally various facilities, including souvenir shops, canteens, and convenience stores.
In other areas, there are also mini-game experience halls hidden by Master Ming, featuring games such as "The Story of Hachiko", "Wormhole Wave", "Jump Jump" and "Fly".
Blue Star is now waiting for the progress of various projects while also welcoming the tenth season of League of Legends.
At the start of the season, Ming Yan has once again received an invitation from the First Division Association.
— Galaxy received a score of 10.0 and was nominated for Game of the Year along with Assassin's Way 2!
It must be said that the response speed of the Jialian Association has always been as slow as a tortoise.
The game has been out for half a year, and the association has finally given a rating and an invitation.
Everyone on Blue Star expressed their exhaustion: "We've given up on the results. Please just finish this process as soon as possible so we can wrap up the project settlement report..."
The ratings have finally arrived, albeit belatedly, and the report for "Galaxy" has been filled with a well-prepared entry: a perfect masterpiece.
Interestingly, "Galaxy" seemed to have struck a chord with the judges of the Jialian Association, who spared no effort in praising it.
One reviewer even used more exaggerated language than the testers, saying: "[This is a groundbreaking 4X strategy game that truly perfects the four aspects of exploration, expansion, exploitation, and exterminate. StarCraft will become a model for all strategy games; this is the best strategy game of this century!]"
