Глава 79

Cheng Anlang said to Cheng Dahua, "Stay vigilant to prevent it from attacking."

"Aww!"

Cheng Dahua slowly turned her head on the stage, her gaze sweeping over the edge of the battle platform and slowly landing around the flowerpot. All she could see were gray, hard rocks; she couldn't see anything that could move.

Cheng Anlang: Could there be mutated beasts that can become invisible? If they could become invisible, they should make a sound, right? How come there's not a sound at all? And it's just a level two chipmunk...

Has it started?

"Why hasn't the fight started yet...?"

Where is the chipmunk?

"I'm still waiting for the carnivorous plant to show its power!"

As time ticked by, Cheng Anlang and the onlookers grew increasingly impatient.

Cheng Dahua couldn't wait any longer. She carefully jumped forward and landed on a slightly crooked rock, where she stood at an angle.

Cheng Anlang's heart pounded with fear that Cheng Dahua would get stuck in the pit again.

Cheng Dahua looked around, then jumped forward again, the only sound in her ears being the wind as she leaped.

Finally, it's not far from the starting point on the other side!

With a powerful leap, the sunlight reflected off Cheng Dahua, creating a dazzling display of colors. Against the light, it traversed the jagged rocks like an angel descending, landing on the uneven ground.

Then the flowerpot was gently tapped by a small rock—

"Aww—"

"Big Flower!"

"Bang—"

Cheng Dahua lost her balance and fell face-first to the ground with a thud, startling her so much that most of the substrate in the flowerpot spilled out!

"Aww!"

My flowerpot! My soil!

Before it had finished grieving, it suddenly heard a rustling sound.

"Huh?"

What's that sound?

It lay on the ground, looking left and right, in a fallen position.

Why does that sound sound like it's coming from below?

Cheng Dahua pushed off the ground with her leaves, and her whole body bounced up like a roly-poly toy, wobbled a couple of times, and then stood up.

It hadn't forgotten the substrate scattered on the ground. Using one leaf as a broom and another as a dustpan, it carefully scooped up the substrate and poured it back into its flowerpot.

Cheng Anlang was speechless: You don't need to be so frugal...

After filling the substrate, Cheng Dahua jumped to the source of the sound, which was a long, narrow pit. Looking inside, she saw a little chipmunk jumping up and down, digging back and forth.

"Awooooo!"

How could it fall like that!

Cheng Dahua let out a mocking screech, stretching out its leaves to try and scoop it out, but the pit was too deep for it to reach.

Cheng Anlang watched Cheng Dahua's movements: This... how could she fall in there?

Cheng Dahua pushed harder, and its thin roots squeezed a little deeper into the crevice.

Just as it was about to reach it, the battle platform made a buzzing sound.

Cheng Anlang: What's wrong? Is it over? It hasn't even started yet!

The battle platform announced the result: "Match ended in a draw."

Cheng Anlang: ? ? ? What is this? It's already even?

Chapter 35, Part 35: Butterfly Loves Flowers

"How come it's a draw before it even started? We haven't even seen the carnivorous plants fight yet!"

"They tied after just two jumps?"

"The chipmunk fell in and can't get out, so there's no way to fight it..."

"A waste of time."

The protective shield was removed, and the scene slowly faded away, leaving only the panting little chipmunk and Cheng Dahua grinning at it.

Cheng Anlang scratched his head. He had no idea why the game was decided as a draw. The game hadn't even started yet!

Cheng Anlang walked into the combat platform and questioned the intelligent detector.

The detector flashes a few times to give the result. If no energy collision is detected between the two parties within fifteen minutes, the result is automatically determined to be a draw. Below this, there is a long string of small print explaining the result.

Because the match lasts for two hours and players can continue to be matched as long as they play quickly, some people used to intentionally delay the match, dragging out a game for two hours until the match ended. This resulted in many reports and complaints, so the rules were changed...

Cheng Anlang: There's such a way to play? The problem isn't that I don't want to play, it's that I simply can't play!
