Xu Lie's first feeling upon stepping out of the airport's warm, air-conditioned environment was cold—a much more intense cold than in Shanghuai. He tightened his dark gray trench coat and walked out of the airport.

The trench coat was almost black and didn't even reach his knees. HANDMADE's expensive and exquisite design made the coat fit him perfectly, highlighting his slender figure.

Xu Lie wasn't particularly afraid of the cold, and he hated being bundled up in bulky clothes. Ha! Who would want that? Except for that unambitious little woman. She said, "Xu Lie, you have to buy me lots and lots of clothes in winter, and wrap me up like a dumpling."

Her winter wish was to be wrapped up like a rice dumpling, and Xu Lie couldn't help but laugh. The blonde beauties passing by occasionally cast him suggestive glances, which Xu Lie didn't particularly care about, but he wasn't disgusted either. He just thought, "Looks like this is a warm and welcoming country."

He had been to Switzerland on business trips before, but each time he had a clear purpose, a chauffeur, and a bodyguard who was always by his side. Although his eagerness this time was even greater than before, he would never have had such a delicate and sensitive touch in the past.

In the exotic city of Lausanne, will he be able to find Galan, his beloved wife, and his children?

Xu Lie sighed, his heart filled with fear at the possibility of a negative answer. Unable to obtain any definite news about Jialan and Jiaqi, and having exhausted all other avenues, he could only think of investigating through his in-laws. He didn't care what blame, ridicule, or angry rebuke he might receive. He was even mentally prepared to bear their anger at the thought of their daughter being harmed. As long as they would tell him Jialan's whereabouts, as long as they were still willing to entrust their daughter to him.

Unexpectedly, the only person who agreed to meet him, his father-in-law Lin Cheng, did not blame him. He just said wearily, "I don't know anything about your affairs, so I have no right to scold you on Lanlan's behalf. But if you want to know Lanlan's whereabouts, then I'm sorry, I have no comment."

“Dad… Uncle Lin!” Xu Lie said with difficulty, “I really want to see Jialan… I am her husband, but I don’t trust her. Even if you don’t forgive me, that’s understandable. But I… really want to see her.”

Lin Cheng sneered, "How could I possibly bear the thought of Xu Tian's CEO bowing down to me?"

Xu Lie was speechless. He couldn't even say, "You are my father-in-law, my elder. Such etiquette and respect are only right." This was because he had already given his daughter the divorce papers, printed with cold, hard lettering.

“I really love her…” Xu Lie could only explain in a strained, hoarse voice, weak and pale, “I only realized how much I love her now… I’m hopelessly stupid. But please give me a chance… This time, I will definitely give her a lifetime of happiness.”

The silence was so long that Xu Lie almost thought Lin Cheng had left. Lin Cheng sighed and said, "Gaqi took Galan away. All I know is that they are in Switzerland and send a letter back from Lausanne every month."

Lin Cheng didn't even glance at the ecstatic Xu Lie again. He stood up, shook his head, and said, "I just don't understand your young people's love affairs!"

As soon as Xu Lie stepped out of the airport, he hailed a taxi and said in fluent French, though his accent was clearly foreign, "Place de la Palud."

The driver was a middle-aged man who was balding, with light blond hair, a round face, and a warm smile. Perhaps because he rarely encountered out-of-towners who could speak French, he kept chatting with Xu Lie throughout the journey.

Are you here in Lausanne for tourism?

Xu Lie shook his head: "I'm here to find someone."

"Really?" the driver rambled on. "Have you found a place to stay? If not, I can offer some options."

So it was just a business solicitation. Xu Lie thought to himself, and said indifferently, "No need." Then he closed his eyes.

He was supposed to arrive in Switzerland last week, but all flights to Switzerland were canceled due to a heavy snowfall. When he was suddenly notified that the flights had resumed, Xu Lie didn't even have time to inform his parents, and with only a few pieces of luggage, he hurriedly checked in and flew to Lausanne, Switzerland overnight.

As soon as I got out of the taxi, I saw my friend waiting on the left side of the square. He had a slender figure and a delicate face that made him look like a woman if his hair were a little longer. He was dressed in extremely elegant clothes, and he was still so radiant. It was the kind of radiance that didn't seem out of place even in Lausanne, a city full of exotic charm.

Lü Xiu is the eldest son of Lü Chiyan, the leader of the Flame Alliance, the largest gang in Shanghuai City besides the Dark Street. Xu Tian was once one of the creators of the Flame Alliance, but at its peak, several of its former brothers, bound by blood and ruthlessness, left to pursue their own dreams and aspirations. Only one person remained, maintaining the Flame Alliance's dominant position in the underworld to this day: Lü Xiu's mother, Lü Chiyan.

Unfortunately, despite being the son of a female gang leader, Lü Xiu lacked any interest or talent in the underworld. His overly handsome, even somewhat alluring, appearance made him an easy target for thrill-seekers in the underworld. Moreover, he was naturally lazy, had obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness, and preferred a carefree life. Therefore, Lü Chiyan had long complained to Xu Lie's father that she favored his younger sister, Lü Jingchu, more than hoping he would inherit her position!

So even though he suddenly moved to Lausanne, Switzerland alone two years ago and opened a small restaurant, Lü Chiyan didn't say anything.

Lu Xiu was two years older than Xu Lienian, but the way he walked towards him with a hint of excitement made him look like a young man in his early twenties.

Compared to his somewhat dazzling appearance, Lü Xiu's voice was quite ordinary, the kind you could find anywhere else in a crowd: "I was really startled to receive your call. I thought I wouldn't see you guys again before I returned to China!"

After listening to French the whole way, Xu Lie couldn't help but smile when he suddenly heard familiar Chinese: "You seem to be doing well."

Lu Xiu looked him up and down, then smiled meaningfully and said, "Looks like you're doing better than me."

Xu Lie gave a bitter smile, remaining silent. His complexion was indeed poor; a whole month of endless searching and waiting had taken a toll on his mind and body, and his demeanor had grown increasingly gloomy. Although he still possessed the same handsome features and tall, slender figure, he lacked vitality, appearing as if hanging precariously on the edge of a cliff, half-dead.

"Enough with the talk, come on, let me show you my shop."

As soon as Xu Lie sat in the oddly shaped car, he couldn't help but twitch his lips: "Is this your new car?"

“Yes!” Lu Xiu proudly raised his head. “I went through a lot of trouble to buy this from the Faith Fly market. It almost cost me half a year’s worth of revenue!”

Xu Lie smiled, a faint but extremely relaxed laugh. He had the illusion that this was the first time he had truly laughed in six months. From the moment he set foot on this unfamiliar land, he felt a sense of peace. Even simply closing his eyes and gently inhaling the cold air could slowly calm his restless heart.

"I can find Galan here, I definitely can!" Xu Lie sat in the yellow beetle-shaped car, looking out the window, repeatedly telling himself firmly.

Because of the impact of the car, Xu Lie didn't have any normal expectations for the restaurant that Lü Xiu named Blue Cheers. But unexpectedly, as soon as he stepped through the simple amber glass door, he was attracted by the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Night had fallen, and the shop created a dark yet not lonely atmosphere. Xu Lie's first impression was: this was a very peaceful place. The shop's main color was beige, and the simple decorations were slightly soft, giving it a festive feel even on ordinary days, let alone on Christmas Eve when everything was decorated with Christmas ornaments. So, despite its tranquility, it was also a warm and welcoming place.

Soft music filled the air. Apart from the main drinking area, the rest of the space was divided into small private rooms for families or couples, and everyone consciously kept their voices down. As you walked further in, you could occasionally peek into one of the semi-enclosed rooms and see that everyone's expression was relaxed, immersed in this rare tranquility and comfort.

As Lü Xiu led him inside, he muttered under his breath, "You rascal, you didn't even let me know you were coming. Luckily, I reserved a seat for myself, otherwise you wouldn't have had a place to sit."

Xu Lie shrugged: "It doesn't matter if I don't eat." He was telling the truth. He rarely felt hungry these days, and even if he did eat, he would often hide in the bathroom to throw up, so it was better not to eat at all.

"How can that be? I've been waiting for you for so long, I have to let you see what I've accomplished here in the past two years."

Xu Lie smiled. Lü Xiu sometimes acted like a child who never grew up, which was rare among the younger generation of the Flame Clan.

"Hey! What are you laughing at!" Lu Xiu glared at him, his face showing some indignation, but there was a barely perceptible pride in his tone. "This shop was built entirely by myself, without relying on my old lady for a single penny. It's incomparable to you kids who live off your ancestors' wealth!"

"Yes! Whatever you say." Xu Lie smiled and sincerely praised, "But this shop is indeed very good."

"Of course!" Leading Xu Lie to a relatively small private room, Xu Lie looked at the simple wallpaper and the light gold "Merry Christmas" lettering on the wall. The atmosphere of celebrating Christmas abroad suddenly felt real and intense.

Lu Xiu had two cups of tea and two plates of snacks brought over, and asked with a smile, "Why did you suddenly come to Losang alone?"

Xu Lie took a sip of tea with his usual elegant gesture and said, "I'm here to find someone."

"Looking for someone?" Lu Xiu stared at him wide-eyed. "Who could possibly require you, President Xu, to travel all the way from Shanghuai to Losang to find them?"

The words "President Xu" brought a bitter smile to Xu Lie's face. He silently lowered his head and took another sip of tea. The warm breath traveled through his mouth via his tongue, but it couldn't reach his heart.

"Hey! I was just kidding." Lu Xiu probably noticed his strangeness and quickly stopped teasing him. "Who are you looking for? I've lived in Lausanne for two years, so I'm a long-time resident. It'll be easier for me to find someone than for you."
