Capítulo 13

Xie Chiyuan looked at the boy stewing potatoes and began to interrogate him: "What's your name?"

"Yu An".

Xie Chiyuan paused for a moment, then continued, "What are you doing here?"

The boy, who was focused on stewing potatoes, thought for a moment before pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket. Then, he muttered with a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness I remembered."

"I'm here to find my and Xie Chiyuan's baby."

After reading the note, Yu An put it away. With his back to Xie Chiyuan, and seeing that there was still no sound from behind, he took the initiative to ask, "By the way, what's your name?"

No one answered for a long time.

Just as Yu An was about to turn around, a faint voice finally rang out.

"What a sucker."

A sucker who suddenly gets pregnant.

Chapter 10

Yu An was stunned for a moment. He had slept for too long and didn't understand some of the jokes.

For example, the phrase "sucker" seemed like a strange name to him.

The two looked at each other, and the air seemed to fall silent. Only the strange smell of the small green potatoes wafted from the pot, somewhat ruining the atmosphere.

Yu An tilted her head: "Your head isn't very big."

Why is he called Big Head?

However, he really liked the surname. His son's father's name contained the character "Yuan"!

Xie Chiyuan: "..."

Xie Chiyuan raised an eyebrow and asked him, "Have you never been online before?"

Yu An felt a little embarrassed; he had been sleeping for too long and hadn't been online for ten years. Even ten years ago, he didn't check his phone very often.

"Mobile phones emit radiation, which is bad for your health, so I don't like to go online."

After forcibly saving face for himself, Yu An turned back to continue stewing the small potatoes.

Before long, the small potatoes were finally cooked.

Yu An carried the pot directly to Xie Chiyuan. He said generously, "Big Head, this whole pot is for you. If it's not enough, I'll go get you some more!"

Xie Chiyuan looked at him, then at the pot.

Is this kid really a bit dim-witted? Not only did they call him "Big Head," but they also brazenly tried to poison him.

"I added a little salt, it shouldn't taste too bad."

Yu An watched him nervously and expectantly, hoping he would eat the stewed potatoes.

Xie Chiyuan saw that his eyes were clear and innocent, and he did not seem to be plotting to harm him.

"It's too hot, let's leave it for now."

Xie Chiyuan spoke casually, but was actually about to begin questioning: "Sit down and talk to me."

Yu An quickly sat down, placed her hands on her lap, and earnestly talked to him.

"When you were protecting me just now, were you bitten?" This was Xie Chiyuan's biggest concern. He had personally witnessed Yu An spreading his arms to block the zombie.

Zombies, creatures that only know how to eat, will naturally not miss out on meat delivered to their mouths.

"No, no!"

Although Yu An was dazed, he surprisingly remained clear-headed about this kind of issue. He straightened his face and earnestly emphasized to Xie Chiyuan—

"I wasn't bitten."

His amber eyes stared directly at Xie Chiyuan, unafraid: "You can check if you don't believe me."

That's just being polite.

But Yu An never expected that the big guy in front of him would actually pick him up and examine him.

Fortunately, apart from the tattoo on her arm, Yu An was completely clean and had no wounds at all.

Released, Yu An sat back down, looking rather unhappy. He explained with a pout, "The villagers are raising zombies, so the zombies don't eat me."

"Raising zombies?"

"Yes, I saw it. They said I was reserve food and would be fed to the zombies two days later."

Yu An pulled up the sleeves of her sweater to cover the little green turtle.

Xie Chiyuan's attention was diverted, and his focus shifted to the matter of raising zombies.

Yu An himself is just a little zombie, so he's not sensitive to this kind of thing. Even if humans start raising zombies in the future, he won't be one.

Before he starves to death, he will try his best to find his cub and leave some inheritance for him.

Xie Chiyuan's dark eyes were icy. He looked out the window, his mind replaying the zombies he had encountered not long ago.

The first zombies to appear had no sense of pain, no intelligence, and only the instinct to eat.

Now……

If these zombies are willing to be fed, it means they've already developed brains! And when these zombies attack, they no longer just blindly chase after others like before.

They would come in groups to hunt.

The more Xie Chiyuan thought about it, the heavier his heart became.

Zombies are evolving, and at a rapid pace. However, humans have no way to reverse the evolution of zombies except to eliminate them.

When Xie Chiyuan was thinking, his expression was even more in line with Yu An's aesthetic.

He stared intently at Xie Chiyuan, thinking to himself, "This big head is really good-looking, both beautiful and delicious. I just wonder who's better, him or Xie Chiyuan."

"well."

Yu An sighed and couldn't help but let her thoughts wander: "I wish I could have a baby with Da Tou."

"What did you say?" Xie Chiyuan, who was deep in thought, suddenly snapped out of his reverie and asked.

Yu An was stunned, only then realizing that she had spoken her true feelings aloud.

The two looked at each other. Yu An, being stared at like that, felt a strange, intense sense of guilt, as if she'd been caught cheating on her husband.

"I didn't say anything."

Yu An's voice was so soft it was like a mosquito's hum.

Xie Chiyuan's handsome face held a slightly cold expression. What was more irritating than suddenly having a child—

The other party wants to find a different father for the child.

Xie Chiyuan then thought of the little green turtle on his arm and the stewed green potatoes. It was one green after another, as if Xie Chiyuan was determined to make him a little green.

Time passed little by little.

It gets dark quickly outside, and once night falls, there's no moon or stars. The whole world seems to consist only of glowing green mushrooms.

Xie Chiyuan secretly threw away the potatoes that Yu An had stewed when he wasn't looking.

Several groups of villagers came to check if Yu An was still there. This time, a neurotic old woman also came to check.

The old woman is the village chief's wife.

She arrived last, and immediately grabbed Yu An's hand, her cloudy eyes blazing with a manic emotion: "Yu An, let your sister go, let your sister go!"

"I was wrong. I shouldn't have told on her. I shouldn't have gotten her arrested."

The old woman was agitated and kept confessing to him, "I know I was wrong, please ask her to let us go."

Yu An: "?"

Yu An looked at her blankly, puzzled, and asked, "Is my sister leaving? Why won't you let her go?"

The old woman was stumped by the question, and her repentant expression suddenly changed: "We can't let her go! All the women in the village have gone through this. If she leaves, the Huang family's money will have been wasted."

The old woman's emotions fluctuated, and her words became incoherent.

Not long after, the old woman was pulled away. Yu An looked in the direction she was being led away and suddenly realized that this was not the way back to the village chief's house.

This is the direction to feed the zombies.

Upon seeing this, Yu An immediately wanted to follow. He had arrived late yesterday, and the person who had been fed to the zombies was beyond saving, but this person was still alive.

Where are you going?

Before he left, Xie Chiyuan stopped him.

Yu An pointed behind him and kept saying, "I'm going to check behind them; they're going to feed the zombies again."

Without saying a word, Xie Chiyuan cocked his gun: "Take me there."

Yu An hesitated and didn't move, not wanting to take Da Tou with him.

Big head is so delicious.

The other zombies also really like Big Head. If they find out, you might have to get beaten up before you can snatch Big Head back.

Xie Chiyuan understood his thoughts.

Don't worry.

He said calmly, "I'm not so easily taken away."

Yu An was not at all at ease.

But Xie Chiyuan insisted on going. Since he had come all this way, he naturally wanted to learn more.

This place has now become a closed space, and even the flow of time here is different from that outside.
