Guanyins Tränen - Kapitel 2
Little Blackie crouched down, the fur on its back standing on end, and let out a low warning from its throat. The green-faced man took a step back; he had just been severely injured in the fight and there was no need to get entangled with this little vixen.
"Little cat demon, I'll let you go this time! I'll definitely come back to settle the score with you!" The green-faced man said viciously, looking down at the little girl in green who was stretching out her hand and saying, "I want candy."
The green-faced man opened his mouth, and the little girl turned into a wisp of green smoke, drifting into his mouth. After eating, she licked her lips, seemingly still recalling the taste, then glanced at Lao Bai, and "whoosh—" shot into the night sky, disappearing into the stars in a moment.
Xiao Hei said, "From now on, if you see this man, turn around and run away without hesitation, understand?"
Old Bai nodded, but didn't take Xiao Hei's words to heart. She thought the green star was quite beautiful.
Xiao Hei sighed. House cats are just stupid.
Little Black is the king of cats in this area. Even ghosts are wary of him. He is the little king of the night, and every night he patrols his kingdom.
That guy from who-knows-where just now said he was a cat demon. Could it be that he really has become a demon?
"Have you ever seen a cat demon?" Xiao Hei suddenly asked.
"I've never seen a real one..." Old Bai thought Xiao Hei was saying some strange things tonight. "But I've seen them on TV. Cat demons are usually female. Sometimes they turn into humans, sometimes into demons, and sometimes they turn into humans but have a cat's tail behind them!"
"Oh..." Xiao Hei seemed to be thinking. So the cat demon was half-human and half-cat, or perhaps a hybrid born from the mating of a cat and a human.
Little Black's stomach churned; he hated the human smell emanating from humans the most!
In the early hours of the morning, as the night grew deeper, a black cat and a white cat strolled leisurely along the wall, one after the other. Old White looked up and saw that the light on the owner's balcony was still on in the distance.
"I'm a little cold..." she said, starting to miss her little nest, the comfortable basket, the soft mattress, and a doll.
Xiao Hei turned around and glanced at her, then said, "I'll take you home."
After the passion subsided, Xiao Hei was also a bit tired. He decided to cancel tonight's routine patrol and take Lao Bai home.
What we call a home is nothing more than a pit in the corner of a wall, hidden by weeds all around, with the wall behind it, providing shelter from the wind and rain, and offering a sense of security.
Little Black embraced Old White and fell into a deep sleep.
On the nearby locust tree, an owl was hooting in its sleep, while a man with a long tongue was swinging around the tree, his neck hanging from the branches.

3.
Old Bai has been missing for two months.
For the first week, Mao Mao mobilized the community security guards to search for the cat and posted missing cat notices at the entrances of each building, but to no avail.
Only one older woman looked at the photo in Mao Mao's hand and said, "A few days ago I saw a cat that looked a lot like Lao Bai with a group of stray cats. It was all dirty."
Hearing the old lady's words, Mao Mao's nose tingled again. The words "you're all dirty" triggered her tears. She knew that Lao Bai was the cleanest person.
Old Bai, you crazy girl!
If leaving means happiness, freedom, and joy for Lao Bai, then let her go. Isn't loving a cat about wanting to see that cat happy?
The moment Lao Bai jumped from the ninth floor without hesitation deeply moved Mao Mao. She wished she could have Lao Bai's courage, take that leap, and be free and happy forever.
Now, Mao Mao has given up the search and has gotten used to living alone.
Winter has arrived, and a cold wind is blowing. Mao Mao shivers and quickly closes the balcony window before returning to his study. Lately, Mao Mao has been acting strangely, often standing on the balcony with the window open for no apparent reason, lost in thought. Behind Mao Mao stands a little girl who looks like a doll, smiling sweetly.
"Listen, loneliness is singing, softly and fiercely." Mao Mao has many bad habits. She can only fall asleep by biting an eraser and listening to music with earplugs in her ear.
The house is too quiet, so quiet it's unsettling.
"Ding-dong, ding-dong~" The doorbell kept ringing. Mao Mao fell asleep listening to the music. In her dream, it was a very cold winter. Old Bai was nestled in a snowdrift, smiling at her. Have you ever seen a cat smile? Mao Mao had seen it in her dream.
In the morning, when I opened the door to get the milk, a man was huddled at the doorway, with a suitcase next to him—a mirrored suitcase.
"Mirror!" Momo couldn't tell whether she felt sad or happy, let alone whether she should welcome or reject it.
The mirror looked up, revealing a haggard face and an unshaven beard.
"Mao Mao~" Mirror stood up, swaying slightly from the numbness in her legs, but still looking elegant. "Mao Mao, you said I could come to you if I needed anything..." Mirror's eyes reddened as she spoke. Mao Mao's heart softened, and she picked up Mirror's luggage to let him in.
Old Bai was nestled on the balcony when he saw a little girl following behind the mirror, looking like a doll, smiling sweetly.
"Mao Mao!" As soon as the door closed, Mirror hugged Mao Mao tightly. Mirror carried the chill of winter air from outside, but even so, Mao Mao was melted.
"Mirror, mirror on the wall, my mirror!" Momo cried, but still happily uttered the sweet words of their past, "Who is the fairest of them all?"
“It’s you, it’s you, it’s you, my Queen Mao Mao!” Mirror replied, choking back tears.
Xiao Hei saw Lao Bai on the outer edge of the balcony, jumped over, and together they coldly watched the scene inside the house.
"Ugh—" Little Black warned into the house, and the doll-like little girl vanished in a flash.
"It would be best if that little vengeful spirit never dared to come back," Old Bai said. "Mao Mao is my family."
Little Black let out a "uh-uh" sound. He never made friends with humans, let alone treated them as family.
Mao Mao didn't ask anything.
The mirror said nothing.
At least I'm not alone anymore.
Loneliness no longer needs to be sung.
4.
In the shadows of the corner, the green-faced ghost from last time grinned sinisterly. This time, you can't hide anymore; you have no choice but to come out.
As dusk fell, the moon became full once more.
Xiao Hei said, "Go back to your family."
Old Bai retorted angrily, "How can you be so petty? I only said that one thing during the day."
Xiao Hei looked at Lao Bai's belly, inside which were his children, and said, "Just go back when I tell you to. House cats are so long-winded!"
Old Bai was truly enraged this time. She knew he looked down on house cats, but this was the first time he had said it aloud, "What's wrong with house cats? House cats are at least more civilized than stray cats!"
Little Black retorted angrily, "If you think I'm ill-mannered, why did you jump down from that height to find me? You wretched cat!"
Old Bai felt a sudden pang in his heart. Xiao Li was right; no man could be trusted! "Fine! You win, you win!"
Old Bai turned around with pity and strode home toward Little Pear's house.
Xiao Hei turned around, but Lao Bai didn't see Xiao Hei's tears. The green-faced ghost in the shadows of the corner smiled sinisterly: "The world has changed. Even cats are sentimental now!"
The moon peeked out and grinned foolishly.
Xiao Hei stood on the wall, Green Face stood on the opposite side, and the man swinging on the locust tree was so frightened that he clung to the tree trunk.
"I'm not afraid of you, little kitty. I was in a good mood last time and let you have your way. If you block my way again today, I won't be so polite..." the green-faced ghost said.
Little Black let out a "meow" at the moon, and the nearby stray cats, as if hearing a horn, all stopped eating, defecating, arguing, and mating, and rushed towards Little Black.
Little Black stood tall and proud.
Cats, to a certain extent, possess a kind of spiritual power, capable of suppressing evil spirits. Now that so many cats have gathered together, Xiao Hei suddenly felt that his power was strong enough.
The vengeful ghost laughed disdainfully: "Let's see who can stop me—"
In the distance, a flashlight shone, its light causing a small commotion among the cats. The ghost smiled sinisterly.
Zhang Yong and Liu Wei, carrying flashlights, walked towards the northernmost corner of the residential area.
"Damn it, these stray cats are practically sentient!" Zhang Yong spat.
“There are many pets in the community, and those pets are more precious than human lives. The boss said we can’t put out rat poison.” Liu Wei felt a bit heartburned; he had eaten too much garlic that night.
"Damn it!" Zhang Yong spat again. "Are these cats having a cat convention? They've all gathered here."
“Brother Zhang,” Liu Wei suddenly stopped and said, “Let’s not go. I think this is a weird situation…”
"Damn it, are we going to starve tomorrow if we don't go? Several homeowners have already called to complain!" Zhang Yong was also a little scared. He took out the small jade Guanyin statue from around his neck and held it tightly in his hand.
In winter, the night wind is like a knife, cutting into your face, and light snow is falling sporadically from the sky.
Liu Wei followed behind Zhang Yong, gazing at the pile of cats on the ground from afar—there must have been at least two or three hundred of them…
The green-faced ghost laughed, "Why use a sledgehammer to crack a nut?" With that, it transformed into a cloud of green smoke and rushed towards Zhang Yong. The jade Guanyin in Zhang Yong's hand shattered with a "crack." The green smoke was slightly damaged by the impact, cursed loudly, and then burrowed into Liu Wei's eyes.
The ghost leaned down, entering through the eyes and exiting through the breath in the mouth.
Zhang Yong felt a sudden jolt in his hand, and when he released his grip, the jade Buddha shattered into two pieces and fell to the ground.
"Damn it!" Zhang Yong cursed inwardly, feeling a chill run down his spine. It really was creepy! "Let's go back and get a few more people; there are too many stray cats!"
Seeing that the green-faced green ghost had been weakened by the Jade Guanyin, Xiao Hei decided to strike back at the fallen dog for the sake of the kitten's long-term safety.
"Ugh—that security guard has been possessed by an evil spirit! Everyone rush up and kill him!" At Xiao Hei's command, hundreds of wild cats charged towards Liu Wei.
Zhang Yong and Liu Wei were so frightened that they ran away, but they were no match for the wild cats. Soon, the two were surrounded by the wild cats. The green-faced ghost inside Liu Wei's body secretly cried out that something was wrong. The garlic smell in Liu Wei's mouth was too strong and he couldn't get out. If Liu Wei was really beaten to death and stopped breathing, this possession would become a cage.
Cleverness backfired. The black cat had only been enlightened for two or three days and had no real power. The vengeful ghost had originally intended to use human power to kill the cat, but unexpectedly, it had harmed itself instead. The green-faced vengeful ghost was filled with regret.
Little Black: "Ugh, let's go!"
A group of stray cats surrounded Liu Wei in layers. The only sounds in the entire neighborhood were the howls of the cats and Liu Wei's screams. Zhang Yong had already fainted from fright, and the stray cats left paw prints on his body.
5.
A vengeful ghost, a malevolent spirit haunted by malevolence, is extremely ominous.
The green-faced ghost gritted its teeth, trying to break free from the thick garlic smell. In the distance, sirens wailed, and a dozen men rushed over with stun batons.
"Hit the cat! Save the person!" At the leader's command, the cat's screams pierced the heavens and the earth.
"Run!" Little Black charged at the head of the security team, and the wild cats scattered.
Liu Wei was on the verge of death, but the vengeful ghost forced him to stand up.
"Old Bai is about to give birth!" Mao Mao was at a loss, watching Old Bai curled up on the ground groaning.
"Delivering, delivering! How do you deliver a kitten?" Fine beads of sweat appeared on Mao Mao's forehead. "Crazy girl, crazy girl! Disobedient crazy girl!" Mao Mao scolded Lao Bai.
"I... I'll check online!" Mirror hurriedly turned on the computer.
Xiao Hei felt a dull ache in his heart. While shouting for everyone to retreat, he knocked all of everyone's flashlights to the ground.
"The tail is coming out..." Mao Mao shouted, "Old Bai, come on! The kitten is coming out!"
