Kapitel 25

Yi Heye put his hands in his pockets, sneering inwardly. No wonder it didn't dare to turn around; those lifeless, dead-fish-like eyes made it obvious at a glance that it wasn't SHEEP.

As the blue sheep gradually took shape, Yi Heye asked it, "You haven't been in contact with the real world for many years, have you?"

“You should know that the fixed shopping mall promotion day on the 14th of each month was canceled five years ago, sir. I regret to inform you that the economy outside has been getting increasingly sluggish in recent years,” Yi Heye said. “You don’t dare to place any NPCs in the scene because you don’t know what kind of clothes people wear or what kind of activities they do in real life. You’re afraid of giving yourself away, right?”

At this moment, the blue sheep emitted a strange, electric-sounding male voice:

"You guessed wrong. I just really hate having other people in the world I create."

This was the first time Yi Heye had heard Lan Yang speak.

Yi Heye recognized his voice; it was the most widely used traditional male voice pack on the market, and such voice packs were widely used in audiobooks, video narration, and barrier-free communication.

Nowadays, more sophisticated artificial intelligence has begun to use language systems with self-learning capabilities. In other words, these kinds of sounds that sound rather mechanical are actually more likely to be used by humans.

Yi Heye frowned, finding it hard to imagine what kind of living conditions a human would have if they stayed in a game for more than five years.

At this moment, the sheep stood in front of him. Although its eyes were emotionless, Yi Heye still felt a strong killing intent approaching.

Yi Heye took a step back.

He knew very little about the blue sheep's fighting mechanics; he had no idea what his chances of winning were, or even how he should fight it without weapons.

The map he was in must have been fabricated by it, a one-to-one replica of the details of his home, but it deliberately took away all the high-tech weapons in his drawer, clearly intending to eliminate him on the spot.

He knew nothing, except that if he lost this game, he would become the next case of sudden cardiac death.

At this moment, the aches and fatigue swept over me again, along with headache, stomachache, and dizziness. This time, it was definitely a high fever.

Yi Heye began to feel irritable. He regretted not taking his medicine and instead drinking cold water to torture himself. This time, he might actually torture himself to death.

He gripped the fruit knife, staring intently at the sheep. His high fever had blurred his vision and significantly impaired his reaction time.

But he knew that the sheep was still somewhat wary of him.

At least when dealing with top gaming bloggers, he allowed them to bring their most advanced equipment from other levels into the game. But when it came to him, not only were all his weapons confiscated, but a fake game map was also created on the spot. He even went to the trouble of disguising himself as Jian Yunxian to divert his attention.

He was afraid of himself, Yi Heye told himself—don't be afraid of those mysterious things, he has the absolute strength to crush the other party.

A second before the opponent made a move, Yi Heye took a step forward and swung his knife.

The sheep clearly hadn't expected that this seemingly sickly, standby knife-wielding creature would suddenly become so terrifying, and it took a solid stab to the head.

Before his eyes, the blue wool was cut open and then stuck into the sheepskin, but the moment Yi Heye withdrew his knife, its skin began to slowly heal.

Yi Heye suddenly raised his eyebrows—"Infinite self-healing, how can we play like this?"

In the instant he hesitated, the sheep curled itself into a ball, hovered in the air for half a second, and then flew towards him at high speed like a cannonball.

Fortunately, Yi Heye's dynamic vision and reaction ability were outstanding. He was on guard when the sheep started to clump together and dodged it a step in advance.

But that thing was really fast. The next second after it flew right past me, a loud bang came from behind me. The wall I had just been leaning against was blasted down by the sheep-shaped shell.

Yi Heye finally understood why other players who were unprepared were killed almost instantly upon engaging in combat.

The attack was extremely destructive; a deafening roar exploded behind Yi Heye's ears, sending stones flying everywhere and kicking up a huge cloud of dust.

Yi Heye already had some edema in his respiratory tract, and the smoke and dust choked him, causing him to cough violently.

However, Blue Sheep was determined to kill him and did not give him any time to cough or catch his breath before rushing towards him again.

This time the speed was even faster. Yi Heye used the wall behind him to dodge, but the aftershocks almost made him fall apart. Once, a flying stone grazed Yi Heye's face.

Bright red blood flowed down his fair cheeks. The realistic pain made Yi Heye tense up. After several high-intensity bursts, his muscles were already strained and his physical strength was almost exhausted. The discomfort of being sick swept over him again.

But the sheep in front of them showed no signs of fatigue, coming in waves one after another, their momentum growing stronger and stronger.

Yi Heye was on the verge of collapse. He felt as if a crack had split open in the middle of his head, with countless needles piercing through it, and his muscles were being torn into individual fibers. To make matters worse, a flame was burning on his forehead, making his already mangled body almost melt away.

It won't be long before he completely falls apart.

At this moment, his mouth was filled with the taste of blood, and his lungs were visibly swollen. He was staring at the blue sheep, but his vision kept going black.

It's over. Yi Heye gritted his teeth. When he came to his senses, the blue sheep had already flown in front of him.

He tried his best to dodge to the side, but couldn't stop the shell from hitting his left shoulder directly—

Intense pain exploded instantly, forcing his heart to stop for a few seconds. Then, the excruciating pain that made him want to die spread throughout his body, making it hard to breathe.

!!

"Yi Heye!! Yi Heye!!"

A familiar voice called out from beside my ear, followed by a sharp, throbbing pain in the back of my head. In an instant, the scene in front of me abruptly cut off.

Yi Heye trembled violently, and then, his blurred vision was filled with a new image. He opened his eyes in panic, searching, and the lingering pain forced him to shed tears.

"Breathe, breathe!"

Amidst excruciating pain and suffocation, Yi Heye frantically kicked his legs, forcing himself to use his lungs to absorb oxygen.

"Cough cough...!!"

Catching up in one breath, Yi Heye saw a familiar face in his panic. Even in his near-collapse state, he recognized that it was Jian Yunxian himself.

"Don't worry, the game has been forcibly quit." Jian Yunxian held the brain-computer interface that had just been forcibly removed in one hand, and offered a white pill in the other. "This is a nitroglycerin tablet. Put it under your tongue."

Yi Heye was unable to think at all; he simply followed his instincts and pressed the pill under the back of his tongue.

A little over a minute later, his heart gradually felt better, and Yi Heye became more lucid. But then, the intense aftershocks of pain returned.

"It hurts..." he managed to squeeze out the word through gritted teeth.

It hurt so much, not the kind of pain that would bring him comfort. At that moment, he had only one thought—it would be better to die.

"The pain pump is installed, it will be ready soon..."

Jian Yunxian stopped mid-sentence and then gasped softly.

He looked down and saw the leopard cub, writhing in pain, biting his arm tightly.

hiss……

I'm going to post a clip on Wednesday, so I'll be taking tomorrow off for that. I'll post a long chapter at 11 PM the night after tomorrow!

Chapter 25, number 025

Jian Yunxian looked at Yi Heye, who was biting her tightly, and trembled slightly, but did not pull away.

As a result, a sharp pain seemed to come over him, and Yi Heye bit harder and harder, as if he was about to tear that piece of flesh off.

Jian Yunxian held her breath, preparing to push his head away, but her hand hovered in the air for half a second.

In the end, I just gently ruffled his hair.

Yi Heye was indeed easy to coax. He rested his head against Yi Heye's palm for a moment, then, as if he had found someone to lean on, he hesitated and finally gave in.

Jian Yunxian acted decisively, flicking his forehead with a "smack" and dragging the guy back to his bed in the bedroom.

Yi Heye was completely limp at this point, looking completely helpless.

He was clearly unconscious, but as he fell into bed, the lingering pain made him tighten his grip on the covers.

Hearing his extremely painful breathing, Jian Yunxian frowned: "Adjust your breathing."

Yi Heye vaguely heard those four words, and his voice trembled as he took deep breaths—

Having lived with pain levels 2.5 times higher than normal for a long time, Yi Heye believes that his pain tolerance is beyond that of ordinary people.

But he vowed that the pain he was experiencing was the greatest ordeal he had ever gone through.

He gritted his teeth, his body drenched in cold sweat, and the breaths that escaped his mouth through his teeth turned into painful gasps.

It hurt so much that his vision blurred in waves, and the physiological cramps made him feel nauseous.

"Cough cough..." Yi Heye struggled to get up and gagged a few times, feeling like he was dying.

For a moment, he actually thought it would be better to let Jian Yunxian kill him.

Finally, the pain relief slowly took effect, the ringing in my ears subsided a little, and I was finally able to catch my breath.

He still felt a sharp pain in his heart, and leaned wearily against the bedside, his gaze unfocused, unable to concentrate.

At this moment, he looked as if he had just been pulled out of the water, his whole body was soaked in sweat, and even his bangs were drooping and stuck to his forehead, making him look pale, pitiful and weak.

As his vision gradually cleared, Yi Heye finally slowly loosened his grip on the bed sheet.

Looking at Jian Yunxian in front of him, the connection he had made to the past told him that he had just been saved by his mortal enemy. A sense of shame welled up in his heart, and he couldn't help but weakly ask:

"...Why didn't you take the opportunity to kill me just now?"

It would be better to end it all at once.

Seeing that he could speak again, Jian Yunxian's faint smile reappeared: "Am I that kind of shameless person in your eyes?"

"You just let me off the hook, how could I possibly repay kindness with enmity?"

It means that no one took advantage of his misfortune in the game.

Yi Heye frowned, and just as he was about to say something, he felt nauseous again and hurriedly stumbled to the edge of the pool to vomit.

Jian Yunxian followed him to the bathroom door without offering to help him, thus saving face for the proud Yi Heye.

He subconsciously enjoys the process of humiliating himself, but that doesn't mean he likes to show weakness in front of people he dislikes.

"You'll regret this..." Yi Heye said, panting as he leaned against the edge of the pool, "The day I kill you, you'll regret not striking me today..."

"No, I won't." Jian Yunxian still smiled. "Being killed by you is the thing I look forward to the most."

Yi Heye wearily raised his eyes, then swayed, coughing and dry heaving once more.

"Should we go to the hospital?" Jian Yun asked casually. "I know some really good doctors..."

"I'm not going." Yi Heye interrupted him painfully and decisively, then regretted it somewhat—

Here we go again. Feeling unwell but refusing to take medicine, being sick but refusing to see a doctor, not having even recovered from the losses of the last time, and now starting to torture himself again.

You probably don't want to live anymore, Yi Heye.
