Kapitel 27

Shortly afterward, the security department received a message.

"Yi Heye took the initiative to talk to you about the case?" Yu Yili chewed his bubble gum, five times on the left and five times on the right. "What's going on? Which temple and which bell woke him up?"

Pei Xiangjin, who was twirling a pen, smacked him on the forehead with a "smack," looking at the simple and concise message sent by Yi Heye—

"Regarding the identity of that blue sheep, I suggest you go to Yixi Zhengli and check the internal staff of Siwei."

Meanwhile, Yu Yili, who was completely clueless about solving cases and just watching the show, got excited: "Captain Pei, he's teaching you how to do things, why don't you go over and take it down for him?"

Pei Xiangjin then slapped Yu Yili's forehead with her pen, making a symmetrical mark.

Yu Yili, who had received symmetrical taps, covered his head in a mixture of pain and satisfaction.

It must be said that Yi Heye is completely devoid of the art of speaking. This time, without any evidence and with his words sparing, he has no persuasive power whatsoever.

If one harbors even a hint of doubt, this is more like burying one's head in the sand, a classic case of protesting too much.

But Pei Xiangjin didn't jump to conclusions immediately. He pondered for a moment and replied with a message: "Is it convenient to talk now? I'd like to discuss this with you in detail."

When Yi Heye received the call, Xiao Yang was still sulking.

When he was angry, his little pointed tail wagged back and forth dejectedly. Yi Heye couldn't resist reaching out to pinch it, but missed his target the instant he made his move.

Oh, I forgot again, this is a projection.

Although the lamb's tail wasn't pinched, it still felt the malicious hand. Immediately, like a woman being forcibly taken, it covered its bottom and screamed, accusing him: "Pervert! Indecent assault!"

Yi Heye almost surrendered, but quickly made a "shh" gesture and went to answer Pei Xiangjin's call to interrupt the little sheep's spellcasting.

The moment Pei Xiangjin's call was projected, the little sheep disappeared without a trace.

Pei Xiangjin cut to the chase: "What is the basis for your statement?"

Yi Heye: "Apart from them, no one else has the ability to crack the core game data and create a completely new game map on their own."

Pei Xiangjin: "SHEEP has it."

Yi Heye: "It's not SHEEP."

Pei Xiangjin: "Why?"

Yi Heye paused for a moment and said, "Because I am very familiar with SHEEP, I won't mistake it."

Pei Xiangjin chuckled lightly: "Mr. Yi, you should know that the most important thing for us police officers when handling cases is evidence."

“I have no evidence,” Yi Heye confessed. “I’m just providing you with a direction for solving the case, so you don’t waste time on unnecessary directions and disrupt my normal life.”

“Thank you very much, Mr. Yi,” Pei Xiangjin said. “However, in the early stages of the case, we had already investigated all the current employees of Siwei and found no suspects. We even suspect that this was not the work of a human.”

Yi Heye didn't seem surprised—the police must have already considered such an obvious direction.

He then recalled some details that Lan Yang had revealed when he was impersonating Jian Yunxian.

“It’s a human,” Yi Heye said. “This blue sheep must be a human, and has been out of touch with reality for at least five years.”

The criteria alone—proficient in computer technology, having not been exposed to the real world for more than five years, and having access to confidential internal data—are enough to identify the target.

But it just can't be found. Even using information from the national census, no intersection that meets all the criteria can be found.

Pei Xiangjin didn't press him further about where the data for "five years" came from, but simply nodded: "I understand, thank you for providing the idea, we will refer to it further."

After hanging up the phone, Yu Yili said impatiently, "Nonsense, only a fool would take the bait."

The fool Pei Xiangjin, who had taken the bait, said, "I believe you."

Yu Yili, realizing he had said the wrong thing, shrank back.

This time, Pei Xiangjin surprisingly didn't hold it against him: "You don't know until you solve a case. Sometimes intuition is a very strange thing."

I don't know if she's talking about herself or Yi Heye.

“I feel that this guy is safe for the time being, and he is very capable,” Pei Xiangjin said. “Why don’t we make use of him, at least for the time being?”

So he sent him the compiled personnel information and the contact information of a senior employee who was an expert in HR relations.

At this moment, Jian Yunxian was leading a sheep, talking on the phone to someone as he walked, his expression more gloomy and terrifying than ever before.

The voice on the other end of the phone asked, "Are you sure you want to get involved?"

Jian Yunxian recalled the image of Yi Heye curled up on the bed, suffering terribly, and the temperature around her plummeted to freezing point.

“Hmm,” Jian Yunxian said, “Make him pay the price.”

Chapter 27, number 027

After receiving the message from Pei Xiangjin, Yi Heye glanced through the personnel files of Siwei and frowned.

Impatience is a problem for Yi Heye; he's not good at processing text information.

So he subconsciously looked up at the SHEEP that would highlight the important points for him.

He forgot that the sheep had disappeared since he made the call. Yi Heye rubbed his fingers, which hadn't managed to pinch the sheep's rump, feeling a sense of loss.

After hesitating for a few seconds at the table, Yi Heye stood up.

His throat was still a little sore, and his muscles felt like they were stuck together. He drank a cup of hot water, put on a mask, and decided to go outside for a walk.

Yi Heye thought to himself, "I need to find some work to do. I've been addicted to games for too long, and I've almost forgotten my old profession."

He opened the bounty website and had just found a noteworthy piece of information when the monitoring system sounded a red alert.

Before Yi Heye could even start to feel a headache, he received a call from his guardian.

"Couldn't wait any longer?" Jian Yunxian said with a smile. "The organization specifically instructed me not to let you hunt alone."

Yi Heye: "...I need to go out and find some inspiration."

"Open the door," Jian Yunxian said. "I'll go with you."

Yi Heye was not at all surprised that he was right at the door.

As soon as he opened the door, a man with a bandage on his left arm stood there, elegant and approachable, waiting for him.

Looking at this scene, Yi Heye vaguely recalled the taste lingering on his lips and teeth. He gritted his teeth impatiently and looked away guiltily.

But Jian Yunxian didn't give him a chance to get away with it, and held up the bandage in front of him to show him:

"Sir, you've already tasted it. You should know whether the texture is from a human or a machine, right?"

Yi Heye, after being reminded of this, no longer felt guilty. He smacked his lips, seemingly still wanting more.

"Sorry, I've never eaten human food before, so I can't tell the difference by taste."

Jian Yunxian smiled helplessly, watching the little leopard proudly walk downstairs, and then followed with his fat sheep.

Arriving at the entrance of the underground parking garage via the escalator, Yi Heye suddenly remembered something and turned back expressionlessly: "Why are you with me?"

Jian Yun chuckled, "Of course I'll hitch a ride with you."

Yi Heye's temple throbbed: "I don't need a partner."

“Darling, I am your guardian, not your partner,” Jian Yunxian said with a smile. “It is your duty to cooperate with your guardian in fulfilling their responsibilities.”

Yi Heye gritted his teeth, grabbed the guy by the collar, and dragged him toward the parking space: "Don't fucking get in my way."

Jian Yunxian: "Be gentle, you're being too rude to your guardian."

Just as Yi Heye brought the man to the garage, he heard Xiao Ming start complaining from a distance:

"Go away, just destroy me. You can still have fun with other handsome guys outside without me."

Yi Heye stopped in his tracks speechlessly. Before he could say anything, this crazy idiot saw Jian Yunxian, whom he was carrying, and cheered, "Yi Bao! You brought a friend to play!! I forgive you!"

Jian Yunxian, looking disheveled yet still elegant, laughed in Yi Heye's arms: "Ye Bao?"

Yi Heye angrily raised his leg and kicked Xiaoming, saying something that seemed to be a warning to someone: "Don't call me Yebao."

He glanced up at Jian Yunxian, who was looking for a rope to tie him to the back seat and run. Little Ming, that traitor, excitedly wiggled his butt.

"Come on, come on! Handsome guy, sit in the back. The car's going really fast, so hold on tight to Wild Baby's waist!"

Yi Heye kicked him again in a fit of anger and then cut off his voice message.

Having obtained permission from the mount, Jian Yunxian unceremoniously sat on the back of Yi Heye's horse and obediently supported Yi Heye's lower back: "Excuse me."

Yi Heye slapped his hand away, the words of curse already on the tip of his tongue, but he swallowed them back.

He had lived for over twenty years, and this was the first time he had ever ridden a bicycle with a "person" on it, and the person he was carrying was this bastard.

Just as they were about to set off quickly to let the cold wind give Jian Yunxian a good talking to, they heard a humble "meow" from behind them.

Yi Heye turned around and looked at the cramped little cloud next to the parking space—it really was cramped, with its four toothpick-like short legs almost touching, and its two bright little eyes, like black beans, filled with bewilderment.

Yi Heye: "...We're not going to have to bring it along, are we?"

Jian Yunxian laughed shamelessly, "Little Cloud has never left me since she was born."

After some fiddling, the car rumbled out of the garage.

Xiao Yunduo, wearing sunglasses and riding a skateboard, was tied to the back of a motorcycle and sped off in style, while Jian Yunxian sat calmly and obediently on the back seat.

Yi Heye felt the warmth and breath of another person behind him, and felt so awkward he was about to go crazy.

The wind whistled around him, carrying a faint, elusive sandalwood scent that repeatedly brushed against Yi Heye's ears.

Yi Heye complained angrily, "Don't breathe in my ear!!"

Upon hearing this, Jian Yunxian leaned closer, his breath brushing against Yi Heye's earlobe:

"I didn't, sir. Aren't you being a little too sensitive?"

Yi Heye made a sharp turn and almost threw the person off—damn it, why does this bastard talk so much?

So he patted Xiaoming's speaker—Xiaoming claimed it was his sexy Adam's apple—and made him play hardcore heavy metal rock.

The heart-wrenching roar drowned out Jian Yunxian's breathing, and under the enormous decibels, Yi Heye felt as if the whole world had fallen silent.

Yi Heye's greatest strength is that once he gets into a working state, he can completely eliminate all distractions.

With the rock music playing, Yi Heye's mind gradually cleared up. The wind whipped his bangs, his throat no longer hurt, and his mind was no longer foggy. He felt as if he could fight another eight hundred rounds.
