Transmigrated Empresses (Male and Female) - Chapter 76
"Berenstain Bear, help Madam into the car, I'm taking her somewhere."
"Who are you calling!" Beibeixiong picked up Lu Susu, not forgetting to glare angrily at her.
"Call it ants."...
[Main Text: Chapter Forty-Five]
"Young Master, where are we going now?" Lian'er asked anxiously, supporting Lu Susu, her face ashen.
Who's really uncomfortable? You're a normal person, don't act like you're the one suffering.
"Go to Shizi Lane."
"I'm fine... I just need to lie down for a while." Lu Susu leaned against her, her slender fingers gently stroking her back.
Which of you is comforting whom?
Lian'er choked back tears and said to Lu Susu, "I told you not to come out, but you insisted. I don't know what to do now."
"It's alright... I know my own body." Lu Susu endured the pain and comforted her foolish servant.
After getting out of the car, I expertly kicked open a long-neglected door: "Quack Doctor Hu, come out! Business is here!"
After I finished shouting, echoes returned to my ears, and the desolate space was comparable to a haunted house.
"Quack doctor Hu! Come out here!" After going around the outer courtyard, he kicked open a wooden door that was about to collapse. Spider webs hung swaying from the door beam. Several rats saw someone coming and quickly hid back in their burrows.
I looked at the table, which was covered in two layers of dust. He really is incredibly lazy: "Hey, if you don't come out soon, I'll burn down your lair."
The echo struck the air. The mocking question made me mutter to myself.
Lian'er shrank behind the Berenstain Bears, her face even paler, and asked, "Eleventh Young Master, are you sure you haven't come to the wrong place?"
"Nonsense." I kicked the moldy rice pot at my feet, covered my nose, and continued shouting, "You come out here!"
As the music stopped, a wall clock, with a slip of paper tucked between it and the clock, wobbled towards me. I ripped the paper off, and it read clearly: "To seek medical help, answer the questions first. Question 1: How did this duck die?" Next to it was a drawing of a sleeping duck.
I crumpled the paper into a ball, threw it hard on the ground, and pointed at a blank painting in the courtyard, saying, "If you don't come out, I'll burn your treasure."
I picked up the tinderbox and was about to approach the edge of the painting when a gust of wind, with a blade-like sharp force, instantly extinguished the flaming flame.
I put away the useless fire stick and looked at everyone who was quiet. Standing in the middle of the hall, waiting for the turtle to fall into the trap: "It's a real shame you're not coming out, my mother is still..."
"Where is your mother? Where is your mother?" A wretched old man, his face greasy and shiny, stood in front of me. (He really was greasy, with the souvenir from when I saw him yesterday still stuck to his beard.) I looked at his even worse state than two days ago, shook my head sadly, and asked, "How long has it been since you took a bath? Stay away from me."
"I don't remember. Where's your mother, you brat?" The old man stared around with his cross-eyed eyes.
"My mother didn't come."
"He didn't come!" the old man roared with a booming voice.
I quickly closed my eyes and covered my ears: "Shut up, I have something important to tell you. Can you help me see what's wrong with my fourth sister-in-law?"
"No." The old man turned his head away, his face wrinkled, and sat down on the several-layered earthen chair with a "thump".
I stared at him speechlessly, then pointed at Lu Susu: "Help me take a look!"
"I won't look."
"Are you going to watch or not!"
"I'm not watching!" I picked up a chair leg, held it in my hand, and said, "Are you going to watch or not?"
The old man didn't even glance at me, tidying up his unkempt, bird's-nest-like hair and arrogantly staring into the air.
"Hey, give me some face, I brought a friend." The old man remained unmoved, and Lu Susu held onto the edge of the table to hide her discomfort.
I pinched my nose and walked beside the old man, whispering, "Could you check on my friend? I'll take care of my mother next time..."
"Bring it here." The old man looked at me and made a domineering conclusion.
"Yes, I'll bring it." Where I bring it is my freedom.
"I'll trust you this once, girl."
"Thank you, Grandpa Hu." I bowed to him exaggeratedly.
The old man, with his eyes wide open, exclaimed, "Am I that old?"
"No, you're still going strong."
"What!"
"No, you achieved success at a young age."
"That's more like it."
The petty person gains power.
The old man readily moved to Lu Susu's side.
Just as the Berenstain Bears were about to intervene, the old man looked at her and said, "I can fight both men and women. Don't test your flexibility with your mediocre skills."
The old man easily dodged the Berenstain Bear and took Lu Susu's hand.
Lian'er stared expectantly at the old man.
