Bo Qinghuan - Capítulo 2
Sensing the movement of the person in his arms, the man in white looked at her with interest for the first time that night.
Madam Yun below dared not roar any longer, and said in a deep voice, "I, Qin Hu, swear to the heavens that as long as you return my daughter, I will definitely hand over the Seven Return Spirit Sand."
The man in white smiled and said, "I don't believe you."
Qin Hu suppressed his anger: "Then what does Your Excellency intend to do?"
"Alright, give me the Seven-Return Spirit Sand first, and I'll take your daughter with me as well. I'll release her after a few days when I'm in a safe place. During this time, if I discover that any of your people are following or searching her... well, if I do, I'll cut off one of her fingers."
"
After speaking these words casually, the man in white noticed that the person in his arms, though stubbornly remaining silent, was trembling even more violently. He couldn't help but add with amusement, "Once the fingers are all gone, the toes will be severed..."
"Enough! We agree to your terms!" Qin Hu couldn't listen anymore. "I believe your promise. Please return Xiao Chan safely in a few days."
“Then…” The man in white slowly extended a hand.
Without the slightest hesitation, Qin Hu accurately tossed the Seven-Return Spirit Sand into his hand. The moment the medicine bottle was in his grasp, the white-robed man lightly tapped the stone table with his toes, and in a flash, he and Yun Chan leaped out of everyone's sight.
"Oh, right, if you find out that the Seven Return Spirit Sand is fake, cut off her nose..." The assassin's last words were long and drawn out, and only after a long time did they gradually fade away in this sleepless night.
The beginning of a miserable journey
The night was shrouded in mist, the moon shone brightly, and the hazy starlight sprinkled on the lake on the outskirts of the city, creating a scene like a fairyland.
Yun Chan was carried under the arm of the incredibly skilled martial artist beside her as they sped along. She stared blankly at the bright moon in the sky, wondering if she was about to be killed by a single blow.
It's unclear how long they sped along the lakeside woods, but the man in white suddenly stopped, casually tossed her to the ground, and then closed his eyes and leaned against a tree.
Is this a signal to let me go?
Seeing this, Yun Chan got up and ran without thinking. However, she hadn't run more than a few steps when she felt a palm strike coming from behind.
This palm strike carried a sharp killing intent, which frightened Yun Chan so much that she instinctively threw herself to the ground. But to her surprise, as she fell to the ground, her body stiffened with fear and she could no longer move.
Is he going to die this time?
She lay stiffly on the ground, eyes closed, awaiting death. The brief moment felt like tens of thousands of years. However, the person behind her made no further move, and the expected second palm strike did not fall.
A gentle voice slowly rang out: "Get up, I will not kill you."
After waiting for a while, the cicadas on the ground remained motionless.
The man in white frowned, growing impatient: "If you don't get up, I'll break another finger of yours."
Upon hearing this, the person on the ground shrugged and tried to move again. Finally, with a sob in his voice, he said, "My legs are weak, I really can't get up."
The man in white couldn't help but chuckle, reaching out to lift her up: "You didn't utter a sound when your finger broke just now, I thought you had some backbone." He looked at Yun Chan's face covered in tears and said disdainfully, "Why do you look so ugly crying now?"
Upon hearing this, Yun Chan quickly touched her cheek with her uninjured left hand, only to find that her face was indeed wet with tears. She immediately felt ashamed and yelled at the mask on the other person's face, "My mother was here just now, and she would have felt sorry for me if I cried. Now that my mother isn't here..."
"I'll cry if I want to!"
After she finished yelling, she realized why she had said all that to this thief, so she struggled and shouted again, "You villain, are you going to kill me or let me go?"
The man in white was still smiling. Suddenly, he changed his posture from holding her to carrying her horizontally, lowered his head to get close to her face, and said slowly, "I don't want to let you go. I'll keep you here to keep me entertained on the road."
"My lord." A respectful voice suddenly rang out. Just a few steps away from where the two were, a woman in purple was kneeling on one knee. "The people sent by Feiyun Fortress to follow us have all been dealt with by your subordinate."
"Alright." The man in white didn't turn around, his voice flat and devoid of emotion. "I'll handle things myself from now on. You don't need to follow me anymore."
Upon hearing this, the woman in purple hesitated for a moment, but ultimately dared not say anything more. After bowing, she vanished in an instant.
The man in white spoke slowly, but this time his voice carried a hint of pleasure: "You heard it too, didn't you? Your family broke their promise. They just sent someone to follow you. Tell me, which finger do you want me to cut off?"
There was no response.
He looked down at the person in his arms with displeasure, only to find that Yun Chan's face was pale and her eyes were closed; she had already fainted.
It turns out that after the poor Yun Chan realized that he would not be killed for the time being, his tense nerves relaxed and his mind could not hold up. Therefore, he did not hear his conversation with the woman in purple, let alone his threat of cutting off his finger.
The man stared speechlessly at the unconscious woman in his arms for a while, then finally sighed gently, "Fine, I'll let you off this time."

Yun Chan was awakened by the cold night wind; her back felt chilly, as if an icy hand was stroking it.
Hmm? Cold hands?
She opened her eyes groggily and found herself lying face down on someone's knees. If she turned her head slightly to the right, she could see a pair of feet wearing men's black boots.
She suddenly snapped out of it and jumped up with a "whoa!": "What are you doing?"
"I'll apply the medicine for you." The man in white spread out his long, slender fingers, still covered in ointment, to show her.
Yun Chan touched her back and, sure enough, found a tear in her clothes. The whip mark was sticky, clearly coated with something. She felt as if struck by lightning, and pointed a trembling finger at the man in white: "You...you dare to disrespect me!"
Is it something a man can just touch on a young lady's back?
Before the man in white could answer, she suddenly caught sight of the medicine box in his hand, and her face turned even paler.
That...that's the box of medicine Xia Yi gave her before she left! She remembered hiding it in her clothes when she had nowhere to hide it. Now that the medicine is in the white-clad man's hands, doesn't that mean that when she was unconscious, he gave her not only her back, but also her chest?
Touched it all over?
Her mind exploded: "You lecherous thief! You beast! You shameless filth!"
The white-robed man's lips curved beautifully beneath his mask. He raised the medicine box in his hand and exclaimed, "Tsk tsk, Purple Crystal Jade Cream! How many Heavenly Snow Lotuses must it take to obtain just one box? I really didn't know Flying Cloud Fortress had such wealth."
"What Jade Cream? That's just a wound medicine from Xiaming Manor." Yun Chan jumped up and down, looking like she wanted to bite him.
"Oh?" The man in white stroked his chin. "So this medicine was given to you by the owner of Xiaming Manor? It seems your relationship isn't as bad as the rumors say."
Yun Chan's face turned cold: "None of your business."
The man in white stared at her thoughtfully, his smile deepening. Suddenly, he tossed a set of clothes in front of her and commanded, "Change into these."
It was a set of cheap, coarse cloth clothes, and no one knew where he had found them. The clothes had many suspicious black stains and smelled terrible. Yun Chan rolled her eyes, picked up the clothes, and said, "I'll go change in the bushes over there. You're not allowed to peek."
The man in white chuckled, probably indicating his agreement.
She immediately went into the bushes, glanced back, and, realizing he couldn't see her anymore, crouched down and carefully moved forward, holding her breath. The forest was vast and dark; if she could find a hollow in the trees further away, he might not be able to find her again.
Besides, he already had the Seven Returns Spirit Sand, so there was no need for him to keep searching for his hostage.
She crouched low, silently searching her surroundings, her steps quickening until she suddenly bumped into a warm chest. Staring stiffly at the white fabric in front of her nose, Yun Chan knew something was terribly wrong and immediately ducked back like a turtle.
They dared not look up.
The man in white looked down at her and sneered, "Trying to run?"
Yun Chan shook her head violently in fear, her body trembling like a leaf in the wind.
He snorted, grabbed her right hand, and snapped it cleanly. With a cracking sound of breaking bones, Yun Chan's right ring finger was also cruelly broken. Her vision went black, her legs gave way, and she collapsed to the ground, too pained to even cry.
She had always thought Xia Yi was the most despicable person in the world. But she never expected that today, someone even more despicable would appear!
The man in white said coldly to Yun Chan on the ground, "Hurry up and change your clothes?"
Poor Yun Chan gasped for breath several times before she could suppress the pain. Thinking that a wise man doesn't fight a losing battle, she lowered her head, obediently said "Oh," grabbed her clothes, got up, and walked towards the bushes on the side.
"Stop right there! Who told you to go there to change?"
Yun Chan turned around, incredulous, and asked, "So I have to change here?"
"certainly."
"Then, then could you step aside?"
The man in white showed no intention of avoiding her; instead, he moved even closer and said softly, "What if you run away again if I don't keep an eye on you? For the sake of your finger, it's better for me to stay here."
Which is more important, innocence or her fingers? Yun Chan bit her lip, torn between these two conflicting thoughts.
The man in white suddenly found himself enjoying watching her anxious expression; it was amusing and comforting. He took her hand again, his voice affectionate: "It's alright, take your time thinking. Anyway, you still have eight fingers left. Even if you break all your fingers, you still have your toes."
Yun Chan's shoulders trembled heavily. She immediately decided that since her body and hair were gifts from her parents, protecting her fingers was the priority. As for the man before her, once she escaped, she would definitely have her father kill him. Who would know what happened tonight then?
?
After weighing the options, she forcefully shook off his hand. However, she couldn't bring herself to undress in front of a strange man, so she could only deceive herself by turning her back to him and laboriously using her uninjured left hand to remove her torn outer garment.
After a long rustling sound, Yun Chan finally managed to change into the coarse linen clothes, turned around and whispered, "All done."
However, there was no one behind her. Yun Chan looked around, and the person was indeed gone. She thought for a while, but still didn't have the courage to run away, so she could only obediently wait in place.
A short while later, a hoarse voice chuckled, "Not bad, you were very well-behaved this time."
Yun Chan looked up and saw a man emerging from the bushes beside her, dressed in coarse linen clothes just like her, with a stubble beard and a rugged appearance. She asked uncertainly, "Are you... the masked man in white from earlier?"
The man laughed and said, "Who else do you think I am?"
Yun Chan was suspicious. Was it really true? Although she hadn't seen the white-clad man's face, this person didn't seem to match his voice or appearance at all.
While she was still in a daze, the man suddenly threw a pill into her mouth. Yun Chan was startled and swallowed it unconsciously.
She asked in a panic, "What did you give me to eat?" The words had barely left her lips when Yun Chan realized her voice had become old and hoarse, and soon her face began to feel hot and itchy. Sensing something was wrong, she didn't care whether the person allowed it or not, and started rubbing against him...
They ran towards the lake.
Bathed in moonlight, the calm lake surface faithfully reflected the terrified expression on Yun Chan's face.
How could one not be terrified? The person in the water had sallow skin, a face full of pockmarks, and a large black mole on their forehead—they were as ugly as could be.
After taking the picture, Yun Chan collapsed to the ground and burst into tears.
Although she wasn't exactly a great beauty to begin with, she was at least a normal, standard teenage girl. Now, in the prime of her life, she's been turned into this state; even her mother would be terrified to death if she saw her.
