“Long San…” Feng Ning hugged Long San’s shoulders, burying her face in his chest, but sadly, this chest would never belong to her. She blinked, holding back her tears: “Long San, before, I was all alone. Although I knew the future was uncertain, I dared to take the risk, I dared to live with you. Now, so many things have happened, and with Bao’er, I can’t do it anymore. I can’t let her end up like me. What do you think of her? What will your Long family think of her? What will my parents think of her? And what if her biological father comes knocking on our door in the future? How will she face him?”

She looked up at Long San: "If someone really comes to our door, I don't even know how to deal with it. I don't even know if it's true or not. That kind of thing is too scary for me, too scary for Bao'er. I really don't dare." Feng Ning lowered her head: "So we'll go far away and go somewhere where no one knows us, so we can live a peaceful and stable life."

"And what about me?" Long San asked in a deep voice, "Are you just going to abandon me like this?"

Feng Ning nodded: "Go, Long San. I know you've forgiven me, and I feel relieved. Bao'er and I will be fine, really. Go back to being your Master Long San, and you'll be fine too."

"If I were perfectly fine, why would I have gone through all this trouble to chase after you?" Long San still refused to give up.

Feng Ning glared at her: "Don't play the victim. You were so heartless as to write the letter of divorce back then, so the way I'm treating you today is already being polite. I'll talk to you nicely, and you can leave amicably, that's enough. It's no use saying anything now, I have the letter of divorce as proof, we have nothing to do with each other anymore, so you'd better leave now."

Long Sanyi said with a stern face, "I'm not afraid of being bullied. It's not that easy to kick me out. You'd better bring me the letter of divorce so I can take a look."

Feng Ning jumped off his lap: "I'm not afraid of you trying to cheat me. It won't be that easy for you to stay. I have my reasons. You wrote the divorce papers yourself, and they have your big red fingerprint on them."

Long San looked at her without any panic. Feng Ning turned and left, saying, "I'll bring you the letter of divorce. If you don't leave, I'll report you to the authorities." She ran back into the house and suddenly remembered that her letter of divorce was under her pillow, in the old courtyard. She hurriedly ran back to the courtyard, only to find that the small house where she used to live had been cleaned up and there were no belongings left on the bed.

The peddler from the same courtyard happened to be there and said to her, "The landlord has rented out this house. He's packed up everything you don't need when you move out."

Feng Ning quickly ran to the neighbor's house next door to find the landlord, but they said they didn't see any letters or papers. They had already packed up and washed the pillows and bedding on the bed, and there was nothing else useful.

Upon hearing this, Feng Ning thought to herself, "Oh no! Did they roll up the sheets and throw them in the water, washing away her letter of divorce?"

She returned to the new house dejectedly. As soon as she entered, she saw that Bao'er had already woken up, and Long San was combing her hair. Bao'er held up the mirror and looked at herself: "Uncle, this little bun is higher than this one, it's not aligned."

Long San frowned, struggling with Bao'er's few soft, fine hairs. He finally managed to align both sides, but after wrapping the red string around them, he noticed that one side was shorter than the other.

Frustrated, Long San tried to reason with Bao'er: "Bao'er, how about just a small bun?"

Bao'er shook her head: "Mom always makes Bao'er wear two little buns."

Long San sighed and said, "Alright, Uncle will redo yours." He took one side off and started over.

Seeing this, Feng Ning felt a pang of sympathy, but she reminded herself that a short, sharp pain was better than a long, drawn-out one. Long San turned around and saw Feng Ning standing blankly at the door, so he greeted her, "You're back."

Upon hearing this, Bao'er looked towards the door and saw Feng Ning. She jumped off the chair and rushed over, saying, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty, Bao'er is combing her hair." Feng Ning picked her up and kissed her hard. Bao'er giggled and kissed Feng Ning back.

Feng Ning put Bao'er down, called Xiao Zhuzi over, and said to Bao'er, "Bao'er, let Sister Xiao Zhuzi help you comb your hair. Mother and Uncle have something to say."

Bao'er nodded obediently, walked to Long San's side, took the comb and red thread from his hand, and said, "Uncle, Bao'er will comb your hair again next time. This time, I'll have Sister Xiaozhu comb it."

Long San smiled at her and nodded in agreement. Bao'er turned around, took Xiao Zhu's hand, and they went out together.

Only Long San and Feng Ning remained in the room. He asked, "What's wrong? Didn't you say you were going to show me the letter of divorce?"

Feng Ning twisted her fingers, remaining silent. Long San glanced at her, then suddenly raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "You didn't carelessly lose the divorce papers, did you?"

Feng Ning argued, "I didn't lose it. I just suddenly remembered that I left the letter of divorce with my mother."

"Oh, I see." Long San nodded. "Then you don't have a letter of divorce. If you don't have a letter of divorce, you're still my wife. Since you're still my wife, then it's none of Heaven's business if I'm with you, right?"

Feng Ning looked at him, speechless. Long San reached out his hand to her, looking at her tenderly. Feng Ning seemed bewitched, slowly walking over and placing her hand in his palm. Long San pulled her closer and said softly, "Feng'er, everything can be resolved, don't worry."

Feng Ning felt a pang of sadness and murmured, "What method?"

Long San smiled gently, put one arm around her waist and the other on the back of her head, then lowered his head and kissed her firmly.

37. Master Long, who wants to acknowledge his daughter...

Feng Ning was captivated by his smile and stood there dumbfounded for a moment. Then, her waist tightened, her head was grabbed, and Long San's handsome face pressed down on her.

Feng Ning's vision blurred, and her lips were instantly invaded. Long San's soft, hot lips were tightly entwined with hers. Feng Ning was so frightened that her heart skipped a beat, and her mind went completely blank. Her breath mingled with his, and she saw his eyes so close to hers, his gaze seeming to suck her soul away.

Feng Ning instinctively pushed him away, struggling to take a half-step back. She had just opened her mouth to say "you" when Long San grabbed her back. This time he used more force, making Feng Ning unable to move. He pinched the back of her neck with his fingers, and Feng Ning cried out in pain. She opened her mouth to scream, but he sucked on her tongue.

Feng Ning had never imagined she would be in this situation. She felt all the blood rush to her face, overwhelmed with shame. She tried to struggle, but only received a tighter embrace and kisses in return. Feng Ning's mind was a jumbled mess; at that moment, she couldn't think of anything else but Long San. He slowly coaxed her, and she slowly softened, finally collapsing into Long San's arms like a limp rag.

Long San softened his grip, giving her gentle kisses. Feng Ning gradually caught up with him, wrapping her arms around his neck and standing on tiptoe to meet his touch. The two became increasingly entwined, unable to stop themselves.

Long San kissed her lips, her cheeks, and pecked at her slender neck. Feng Ning blinked, her consciousness slowly returning. She finally realized that she had been seduced by him again. She pushed Long San away abruptly. Seeing his lustful eyes and moist lips, she was both ashamed and angry. She pointed at him and said, "You, you..." but couldn't utter a complete sentence for a long time.

Seeing her like this, Long San laughed, which made Feng Ning even angrier. Finally, she managed to utter a curse: "You pig!"

Long San laughed loudly: "You're a pig too."

"I'm not!" Feng Ning stamped her foot, refusing to admit it no matter what.

Long San pulled her close and pecked her lips: "You are, even if you like me, you're still a pig."

Feng Ning shouted, "No, no, I don't like you."

“Then I am.” Long San hugged her tightly. “I like you, I am.” His voice was so gentle it was almost drowning her.

Feng Ning was speechless. "I, I..." she stammered, unable to utter a complete sentence. Long San, however, knew what was going on. He patted her back and comforted her, "I was wrong too. It's not your fault. I was wrong too. It's not your fault, really."

These words stirred Feng Ning's emotions; her eyes welled up, and she buried her face in his chest. Long San whispered in her ear, "I was wrong too. I shouldn't have neglected you for three years. I shouldn't have left you alone all these years. I made you suffer. It's not just your fault; I was wrong too. If I had treated you well like this, you wouldn't have done that. You were unhappy in the Long family, which gave others an opportunity. I didn't protect you, I made you suffer, I made you get bullied. It's all my fault..."

Feng Ning burst into tears. How could he think like that? How could he be so forgiving towards her? Feng Ning felt ashamed and heartbroken. "I regret it so much. Although I don't remember what happened, I regret it so much. I wish I could start over. I must show you my goodness. Although I forced my way into this marriage, I definitely didn't have bad intentions..." She choked on her sobs, and Long San quickly patted her back gently.

“It was my fault. We were prejudiced against you. You’re right, if we treat each other with sincerity, we will surely be rewarded. We didn’t treat you with sincerity back then, which is why we couldn’t win your heart.” Long San said, “Feng’er, we’ve missed three years. Now that we’ve finally realized each other’s feelings, let’s not miss each other again, okay?”
