Глава 24

Just as the lightning flashed and thunder roared, Pang Wan quickly turned around and looked up at the restaurant.

—Everyone's attention was drawn to the fallen passerby, but the Golden Crown Prince's beautiful eyes remained fixed on her.

Unexpectedly, Pang Wan suddenly turned around at this moment. Before he could even look away, his gaze met Pang Wan's directly, and the young master's expression showed a moment of astonishment.

"You little brat, see if I don't catch you?" Pang Wan gave him a smug smile.

The young master with the golden crown's expression darkened.

People gradually came over to help the innocent passerby, picking up the radishes and cabbages that had been scattered around.

Pang Wan also bent down gracefully and picked up a cauliflower that had rolled to her feet.

Then, holding the bouquet of cauliflower, she smiled sweetly at the golden-crowned prince and silently uttered three words.

"How dare you!" The Golden Crown Prince suddenly slammed his hand on the table and stood up, his usually calm face now contorted with rage and his eyes blazing with fury.

The person who was rebuked had already turned and left.

The guard took a step back, cold sweat dripping from his forehead.

He could see clearly that the little girl was saying from her red, rosy lips, "No, shy."

That's really bold.

Beauty in the Forest

Pang Wan's mood improved considerably after a chance encounter with a mysterious and handsome man who had a crush on her on the street—after all, she still had the looks to attract attention, and her confidence was restored.

At the time, she didn't know that the reason someone stares intently at another person might be because of love, but more likely it's out of hatred and dislike.

Well, let's not rush to tell her. Let her enjoy her Mary Sue dream for a few days first.

The five-day agreement was fast approaching, and in the past few days, everyone in the manor could feel the Alliance Leader's heartfelt joy. His smile was like a spring breeze, his voice was like a booming bell, and even his steps were much lighter.

"Does he always look like this before meeting the fairy?" Pang Wan whispered to Bai Xiaosheng from behind the door.

"The Alliance Leader is truly deeply in love with the Fairy." Bai Xiaosheng's expression was inscrutable, a mixture of envy and regret.

Pang Wan sighed inwardly, not wanting to say anything more—this alliance leader was a complete idiot when it came to matters of the heart. Did he really think Sang Chan would like someone like him, a kind-hearted, loyal, and straightforward woman? Obviously not! In the Mary Sue world, unless the male protagonist was so cunning that his very bones were soaked in ink, he generally couldn't win over a tough nut like the all-powerful female lead. Therefore, it was clear that although Gu Xiju possessed extraordinary martial arts skills, he was a block of wood when it came to matters of the heart! A block of wood! An uncarvable block of wood!

"What's wrong?" Bai Xiaosheng asked, noticing the strange look on her face.

"The Alliance Leader is really..." Pang Wan swallowed his complaints and said with a sigh of disappointment, "A heart full of sorrow is not a long life."

Bai Xiaosheng glanced at her in surprise: "He and the fairy have been fellow disciples for more than ten years, addressing each other as senior and junior brothers. If this relationship hadn't lasted long, it would have ended long ago."

Pang Wan was taken aback, suppressed her other words, and did not intend to ask any further questions.

"Are you sure you want the Alliance Leader to go see Fairy Sang Chan alone?" But Bai Xiaosheng just wanted to tease her.

"Don't worry, why wouldn't I?" Pang Wan rolled her eyes at him. "What can a man and a woman do in the same room? It's just about having a baby."

Bai Xiaosheng coughed loudly.

"You shameless woman!" He sternly reprimanded her, "How can you just casually bring up such a thing!"

The next instant, Pang Wan's rosy little face was right in front of his nose, bringing a sweet fragrance.

"If we don't tell everyone, they won't do it?" Pang Wan stared wide-eyed at him, her long eyelashes fluttering. "If your parents hadn't done this kind of thing, how could you have been born?"

As the soft, fragrant body pressed close, Bai Xiaosheng was somewhat distracted when he heard the first half of the sentence, but upon hearing the second half, his expression changed and he flew into a rage: "You brat! Do you believe I'll beat you up!"

Pang Wan wasn't about to give him a chance. She had already nimbly leaped out of the doorway, her skirt billowing in the sunlight. She turned back and made an ugly face.

Let Gu Xiju go see Sang Chan alone? Hmph, of course she won't.

Pang Wan walked along, lost in thought.

Although Gu Xiju's gaze that day was so icy it could freeze lava, Pang Wan would never give up any opportunity to get close to her idol—since he openly forbade her from going, she would sneak in secretly.

On the appointed day, Pang Wan used his best skills, holding his breath and lying in ambush in the purple bamboo forest.

A pergola has been erected in the bamboo grove at some point, with snow-white gauze curtains fluttering in the wind, giving it an ethereal, fairy-like feel.

Pang Wan picked up a few branches and stuck them on her head. She quietly crouched behind a small mound, staring intently at the white gauze curtain without blinking.

Inside the tent, a purple-clad figure sat at a black jade table, slowly sipping tea.

He was waiting, waiting for the arrival of his beloved.

Ring ring, ring ring.

Suddenly, a clear, crisp sound of golden bells rang out in the air.

Ring ring, ring ring.

"Senior brother, how have you been?" Amidst the melodious ringing of bells, a snow-white figure descended from the sky, her robes fluttering in the wind.

A celestial being descended to earth.

An exquisitely delicate lotus foot emerged from the flowing, misty skirt, completely naked, white with a hint of pink, with golden bells like vines entwining the arch of the foot, adding a touch of enchanting beauty.

"I'm a little late."

The voice, as delicate as a nightingale's, spoke again, with a hint of amusement but no trace of apology.

Pang Wan had never seen such perfect, jade-carved feet, nor had she ever heard such a melodious and enchanting voice. She was momentarily stunned. When she came to her senses and looked up to see the person's face clearly, she found that the person was wearing a bamboo hat and a veil, revealing only a pointed chin and petal-pink lips.
