A woman in red suddenly descended from the roof of Luoxin Courtyard, landing lightly in the courtyard. She looked at Mu Yunhe with contempt and mockery, and said coldly and gleefully, "No matter how arrogant you are, you will still lose her. I said, only... can I have her!"

Sun Yunyun gave a mocking sneer, her gaze sweeping over the dreamlike courtyard with disgust. Her eyes were filled with deep ridicule: "Even if you've put so much effort into her, what good will it do? You're still going to lose her anyway."

With a crazed look in her eyes, Sun Yunyun stomped on Mu Yunhe's injured hand, grinding it so hard that it became a bloody mess. She gritted her teeth and said, "It's such a pity you couldn't see this beautiful moment of my marriage to him today. But just in case, I have to do this. Mu Yunhe, I won't let you die. If you die, I'll have nothing to control Luo Zhiheng, but I will make you wish you were dead. Who told you to be the one he loves? I want to see how Luo Zhiheng will continue to love you when your whole body is rotting and stinking, when your face is unrecognizable! Now, you can continue to endure the pain of the poison. I'm going to have my wedding ceremony with Luo Zhiheng."

Mu Yunhe suddenly convulsed. Sun Yunyun laughed wildly, saying sinisterly, "Can you still hear me now? That's wonderful! You can't move, but you're still conscious. Let me be a good person this once. Luo Zhiheng certainly didn't tell you that she's agreed to marry me, right? Of course she wouldn't tell you, because you're a pathetic wretch. Today, I will prove to the whole world that I've always been right. My devotion and my waiting were all right! Luo Zhiheng is a man, the man I love most, and today he's finally willing to marry me. Now the whole world knows. Mu Yunhe, are you sad? Are you scared? From today onwards, Mu Yunhe is no longer your woman, he is my man! Hahaha!"

Sun Yunyun left with a wild laugh, while Mu Yunhe continued to convulse, his face turning from ashen to ashen, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

At this moment, the streets, from the Sun family residence to their ancestral hall, stretching across three streets, were adorned with lanterns and colorful decorations, with red carpets lining the way, creating a joyous atmosphere. The streets were already crowded with people, their faces filled with surprise, uncertainty, worry, and curiosity.

They were all shocked and incredulous by the rumor that Luo Zhiheng was a man, and even more bewildered by the prospect of him marrying a girl from the Sun family. But today, with the Sun family making their stance clear—allowing Sun Yunyun to be recognized as a member of their clan, to marry within their own home, and even pass through the Sun family ancestral hall—it seemed the rumor might not be false. Everyone awaited the arrival of the wedding procession, eager to see for themselves whether Luo Zhiheng was indeed a man and whether he would truly marry Sun Yunyun.

A lively commotion of music and singing came from afar, and the wedding procession, dressed in bright red, drew a long line of cheers and gasps of astonishment.

The person sitting atop the tall horse at the very front was dressed in a bright red wedding robe, wearing a red silk crown and jade ornaments, and black short boots. His face was as beautiful as a god's, and his expression was cold and stern.

This person was dressed as a man, yet her stunning beauty sent shivers down the spines of those who witnessed Luo Zhiheng's altered appearance. Those who had seen her before gasped in astonishment. Even though her gender was now indistinguishable, the others were ultimately captivated by her unparalleled beauty!

Screams and gasps rose and fell from both sides of the road, but Luo Zhiheng remained expressionless. A cold glint appeared in her eyes as she glanced at her men's clothing and sneered.

In order to make others believe she was a man, and to satisfy her own desires and fantasies, this madwoman, Sun Yunyun, actually made her dress as a man to marry her.

Luo Zhiheng increasingly felt that Sun Yunyun was insane. She naturally didn't want to submit, but Sun Yunyun's attitude and threats made it impossible for her not to. No matter what, she would only submit this once; after that, it would be her time to retaliate.

When the wedding procession arrived at the Sun family's gate, Luo Zhiheng coldly watched the matchmaker bustling about. The Sun family's attitude was strange; they seemed both afraid of Sun Yunyun and obsequious towards her. Their agreement to Sun Yunyun's outrageous actions likely stemmed from her coercion and enticement.

"Please, new groom, dismount to greet the bride," the matchmaker said happily, secretly thinking what a handsome man he was.

Luo Zhiheng's gaze was so cold it was almost icy, making the matchmaker tremble: "I'm a woman! Who are you calling the new son-in-law!"

The surrounding scene abruptly stopped; the screams and gasps froze, and the matchmaker's face turned deathly pale. The Sun family looked embarrassed.

She wasn't wearing a mask, and her face was already striking enough. Her identity only added to the astonishment and speculation. Now, she was dressed as a man and claimed to be a woman, and rumors were circulating that contradicted her claims. Everyone was confused and didn't know who was telling the truth.

"Luo Zhiheng, you've come to marry me, so why can't you even come down and carry me to the bridal sedan chair?" Sun Yunyun disregarded the taboo that brides shouldn't show their faces in public, and actually came out herself, dressed in red, and stood in front of the door looking at her, seemingly confident that Luo Zhiheng wouldn't refuse her.

But Luo Zhiheng curled her lips into a cold smile: "Don't you have legs or is your family all dead? Don't you even have anyone to hold you? If that's the case, then don't come out."

The Sun family members were furious, but Luo Zhiheng was too beautiful, and no one could bring themselves to kill her.

Sun Yunyun wasn't angry at all. She looked at Luo Zhiheng with a smile, feeling that she liked Luo Zhiheng no matter what. Finally being able to see her face under the mask, Sun Yunyun felt a sense of satisfaction. She even said in a sweet voice, "Don't be angry. Even if all my family members were to die, I would still marry you. This is what you owe me. Husband, I promised to marry you, and I will definitely be your wife! Today, we can finally have our wish fulfilled."

Luo Zhiheng felt utterly disgusted by her self-talk, while the others were horrified. They wondered if Luo Zhiheng and Sun Yunyun had a past affair. The Sun family, however, harbored resentment because of Sun Yunyun's words.

Sun Yunyun disregarded her reserve and walked down the steps, smiling sweetly at Luo Zhiheng: "Marrying you is my greatest happiness. I won't ask for much. I'll get into the bridal sedan chair myself and marry you."

"Since Miss Sun doesn't mind two women getting married, I, Luo Zhiheng, have never had a good reputation, so naturally I'm not afraid. However, you'd better remember what you promised me. If you dare to deceive me, I'll make you wish you were never born," Luo Zhiheng said coldly, her nonchalant tone filled with rudeness.

A ruthless glint flashed in Sun Yunyun's eyes as she smiled and said, "Don't worry, for your sake, I can tolerate letting the man you love live. But one day you will forget everyone else and only love me."

After Sun Yunyun finished speaking, she got into the bridal sedan chair.

The others were completely baffled, finding it utterly unbelievable and inconceivable.

Luo Zhiheng's heart hardened. She glanced up at the sky, the softness in her eyes quickly disappearing, replaced by a hardened expression. She spurred her horse around and headed towards the Sun family ancestral hall.

The procession proceeded with music and fanfare, and the people followed closely behind, crowding the nearby streets. Yet, this seemingly lively scene was filled with an eerie and oppressive atmosphere.

Luo Zhiheng did not accept the red silk offered by the matchmaker. She was not really going to marry Sun Yunjun, so why should she lead that madwoman in?

The matchmaker didn't dare force Luo Zhiheng, but a shocking scene suddenly unfolded. Sun Yunyun suddenly kicked the matchmaker in the chest, sending her flying backward, spitting blood as she collapsed into the crowd, dead!

A gasp of surprise erupted from the crowd!

"What's the point of keeping something useless!" Sun Yunyun said casually, lifting the red veil and looking at Luo Zhiheng with a half-smile. "I think our wedding isn't festive or vibrant enough. What do you think, my husband?"

Luo Zhiheng's heart tightened even more. This Sun Yunyun was indeed extraordinary. She wondered what had happened to Sun Yunyun that had made this frail woman know martial arts!

"It's your wedding. If you want to kill someone to add to the celebration, that's your business. Do as you please," Luo Zhiheng said coldly, her expression completely unchanged.

Sun Yunyun's smile froze for a moment, then curled up even more alluringly. She walked seductively to Luo Zhiheng's side, attempting to take Luo Zhiheng's hand, but Luo Zhiheng clearly dodged it. An undisguised ruthlessness appeared in Sun Yunyun's eyes as she laughed, "Husband, aren't you afraid I'll hold a grudge and retaliate after treating me like this?"

here we go again!

"All you can do is threaten me?" Luo Zhiheng sneered, her eyes full of mockery.

"Of course not, but my husband should at least treat me the same way. Otherwise, I'm a cold-blooded and jealous person. If there's no reward at all, how can I willingly help my husband save people?" Sun Yunyun said slyly.

Luo Zhiheng's aura grew even colder, her gaze filled with murderous intent. After a long pause, she let out a cold snort, turned, and walked straight into the ancestral hall. Sun Yunyun giggled and followed her inside.

Standing before the unfamiliar ancestral tablets of the Sun family, the one who came out to preside over the wedding was none other than the oldest living member of the Sun family, the old Duke. He first kowtowed to the ancestral tablets, and then stood trembling beside them, saying, "Sun Yunyun and Luo Zhiheng bow to Heaven and Earth."

Sun Yunyun smiled smugly, put the veil back on herself, and slowly bowed to Luo Zhiheng. Luo Zhiheng clenched her fists, frozen in place.

Sun Yunyun seemed to be able to see Luo Zhiheng's actions and threatened in a low voice, "Think about your Mu Yunhe. If you don't marry me in front of the whole world and make me your wife, Mu Yunhe will definitely die! Husband, are you willing to give up Mu Yunhe?"

Luo Zhiheng frowned, her ruthlessness almost impossible to conceal. She looked away in disgust, but bowed slightly, her manner extremely perfunctory.

While Luo Zhiheng was marrying Sun Yunyun, Mu Yunhe was experiencing the pain and torment of being a concubine. He struggled and screamed in nightmares, trying to escape, but he could not escape the layers of images that were almost imprisoning him to death.

588 A dreamlike, unforgettable romance! A must-see! (Final Episode 4)

"Yunhe, I'm in so much pain! Yunhe, save me! Save me! Yunhe, where are you? Why don't you come to find me..."

The room, blurred by blood, seemed to be stained crimson. Basins of bloody water were carried out, and the woman lying on the bed was unrecognizable. Her groans of pain were weak and feeble, her body sprawled on the bed, as if broken into pieces. Blood was flowing from her lower body. Someone was busy at work, and that person whispered something in her ear. Suddenly, the woman screamed with all her might, "My child! My child! Give me back my child!"

Mu Yunhe was trapped in a nightmare, and the scenes he saw caused him immense pain. He wanted to grab that woman, to see and hear everything in the images clearly. As if bound by something, he struggled to get closer, trying to reach the woman on the bed who was struggling, crying, and on the verge of death.

"Chieftain, is this woman truly a blessing from heaven for our tribe? She is dying and there is no hope of recovery," a man wearing a ghostly mask said coldly.

The man standing to the side, dressed in heavy black clothing and wearing a golden mask, pondered for a long time before calmly and powerfully saying, "No, there is another way: to use the secret techniques in the forbidden book."

"What?!" The man was clearly shocked: "No! That is the supreme treasure of our wilderness. Our ancestral chieftain forbade it to be used or viewed lightly."

"High Priest, I know your concerns, but as you said, all the clan leaders said before they died that they should not be used lightly, but that doesn't mean they can't be used at all. This woman descended from the sky during the sacrificial ceremony. It was fate that led us to choose the abyss on the border of the Mu Dynasty as the location for the ceremony. We traveled through mountains and rivers to get here, only to encounter this woman on the last and most crucial day of the ceremony. Don't you think all of this is fate?"

"Besides, I'd rather take the gamble. I believe that this woman, despite her severe injuries, can still consciously murmur something important. Her willpower is astonishing. If we try our best to heal her but she still doesn't survive, then we can only say we made a mistake, and we won't lose anything if she dies, as no outsiders will know the secret technique. But if she can still live, then it must be the will of Heaven; she is our good fortune!" the clan chief said solemnly.

The high priest said no more.

The scene shifts back to the woman lying on the bed, covered in blood so thick that her clothes are unrecognizable. She lies weakly, clearly in great pain, unable even to twitch. She is limp and lifeless. Blood gushes from all over her body, making it hard to believe she is still alive.

Suddenly, a beautiful maid exclaimed, "Oh no! She's bleeding from her lower body too!"

"She was pregnant, but unfortunately, the child cannot be saved." The high priest coldly shook his head and said, "Her vital signs are rapidly disappearing. Chieftain, are you still planning to use the secret technique? I think it's unnecessary. She is destined to die. And even if the secret technique is used, it may not be able to save her."

The clan chief hesitated, watching as the woman before him gradually lost all signs of life. His hesitation was obvious. After a long while, he watched helplessly as the woman's every movement ceased, even her breathing became so light it was almost imperceptible. Such a bloodied person would be considered dead by everyone.

The clan chief suddenly stepped forward and coldly whispered in the woman's ear in the language of the Mu Dynasty: "Your child is dying. There is a little life in your belly. If you cannot hold on now, if you give up on yourself now, then your child with Yunhe will surely die!"

The clan chief's deep eyes were fixed on the woman before him. The stench of blood was so strong it sent chills down his spine. The woman, who had previously shown no signs of movement or life, suddenly had her chest bounce slightly. That one bounce made the clan chief's pupils constrict, and almost instantly he resolved to save the woman at all costs!

"Can't you feel him draining away? Open your eyes and look, maybe you can see your child one last time. The child of you and Yunhe." The clan chief continued to provoke the unconscious woman, his mouth filled with talk of the child and the name that kept coming from her lips.

The woman on the bed had shattered bones and her hands were limp and powerless; the pain was palpable. Like a dead woman, she raised her hand at that moment, to the horrified gaze of everyone present. Though her movements were sluggish and slow, her hand firmly and resolutely landed on her abdomen.

The next moment, her tightly closed eyes slowly opened.

A collective gasp filled the air!

Her hopeless eyes were empty and blank, devoid of love, hate, innocence, and emotion. But in the next moment, she suddenly became clear-headed, as if she remembered everything. Before tears could even well up in her eyes, hatred, fear, and pain emerged in a mingled manner.

"My child! My child?" Her words were filled with more hesitation and panic than anything else.

Luo Zhiheng's astonishing willpower and unwavering performance prompted the clan leader to immediately resort to a secret technique. All healing unfolded in an instant, everyone withdrew, and even the high priest left with a look of shock and without complaint.

Perhaps, she truly is an auspicious omen bestowed by heaven! An auspicious omen from the wilderness!

During the treatment, Luo Zhiheng lost consciousness several times. Throughout the long treatment, she remained in a daze, unaware of whether she was alive or dead. The clan leader's hair went from jet black to gray in the blink of an eye.

During this time, Luo Zhiheng seemed to suddenly lose her heartbeat and pulse. The clan leader's tightly closed eyes suddenly opened, filled with astonishment, confusion, and resentment: "Dead? How could she be dead!"

"No heartbeat! No pulse! How could this be?" The clan chief, exasperated and bewildered, searched everywhere. Suddenly, he touched Luo Zhiheng's nose and exclaimed, "She's breathing! She's breathing! But how can there be no pulse?! How strange!"

For many days afterward, Luo Zhiheng remained in a state of uncertainty, unsure of whether she was alive or dead. Finally, one day, when the clan chief opened his eyes again, his eyes were no longer mature, but aged, filled with deep regret and loss. He whispered in Luo Zhiheng's ear, "Are you alive or dead? Do you know that your child cannot be saved? He is leaving your body right now. Wake up! Don't you want to see your child off on his final journey? Don't you want to avenge your innocent and pitiful child? Can you bear to let your child leave before he even came into this world, and yet not avenge him?"

The clan leader, with his keen insight into human nature, naturally gleaned much from Luo Zhiheng's few words. Now, to ensure Luo Zhiheng's continued progress, he disregarded reopening old wounds. Even though the child in Luo Zhiheng's womb had already tragically turned into a pool of blood several days prior.

Luo Zhiheng finally regained her senses, tears streaming down her face, her hatred overwhelming and her regret spreading: "My child! My child! Give me back my child! Luo Ningshuang, I'll make you suffer a terrible death! Ahhh!!"

She roared wildly, her face contorted with rage, knife wounds splitting open, veins bulging, blood gushing out, her expression ferocious, like a demon!

Those were the most desperate, painful, and darkest days of Luo Zhiheng's life. They were also the most unknown part of her past.

Mu Yunhe floated in the distance, watching everything unfold. He watched Luo Zhiheng bleed incessantly like a blood gourd, watched her shattered body, watched her grotesquely disfigured face, watched her empty eyes like a rag doll, watched her broken hands clutching her abdomen, watched her hysterical rage for the sake of that child, watched her survive because of hatred. As he watched, tears welled in his eyes, his gaze turned bloodshot, and his heart clenched with unbearable pain!

"Aheng, Aheng..." he called out, roared, and howled, becoming more and more frantic as he went on. But Luo Zhiheng was right in front of him, yet he couldn't see her or grasp her. Every "Aheng" he uttered was so poignant and heart-wrenching, but Aheng remained lying on the bed like a lost puppet.

Mu Yunhe, distraught, collapsed to the side, unable to escape, unable to wake from the dream, and unable to witness Luo Zhiheng's three years, those days that felt like years, those unspeakable, heart-wrenching longings, that bitter journey from love to hate to despair, watching Luo Zhiheng change day by day...

Mu Yunhe finally found out the three years he lost Luo Zhiheng. He finally understood how dark and repressed Luo Zhiheng's life had been.

His heart seemed to age in this dark and hopeless period, growing more gloomy and desperate with each passing day, yet his love only grew stronger. The more Luo Zhiheng hated him each day, the more he loved her.

Memories surged forth in the darkness and in companionship; those fragmented memories, those scenes that could never be pieced together, those beautiful days that had been forgotten were finally filled completely in these three empty years.

Mu Yunhe loved Luo Zhiheng a little more each day, and with each passing day, his pain intensified. He not only reclaimed the three years that had been most missing between them, but also everything he had forgotten.
