Urbaner Blumentraum - Kapitel 43

Kapitel 43

Zhu Huihui quickly puffed out her cheeks, pouted her lips, and blew the grass leaves away forcefully.

The young nobleman simply pulled up the entire blade of grass, moving slowly and gently, even with a touch of tenderness, and piled a large clump of grass, stems and leaves included, onto her face.

Zhu Huihui tried again, puffing out her cheeks and blowing hard. This time, not only did she not get it, but the strong smell also rushed into her lungs, making her cough. Her body ached even more from the shock, and she was furious. She opened her mouth to curse, but unfortunately, a blade of grass fell into her mouth. She was shocked and hurriedly spat it out, feeling extremely embarrassed.

The young nobleman looked at her with a smile: "This grass tastes delicious, doesn't it? Would you like to eat some more?"

Zhu Huihui finally managed to spit out the grass and said, "Delicious! Very delicious!" You can take it back and eat it yourself, you treacherous, smiling tiger! I'll eat you to death, you cunning and treacherous smiling tiger!

As he spoke, some more blades of grass fell into his mouth.

The young nobleman smiled and said, "If you don't want to eat more, then obediently tell me who you are?"

Zhu Huihui dared not be stubborn and said, "I... ptooey... I... Zhu Huihui... ptooey..."

"You came to Luomei Nunnery, what exactly is your purpose—" The young nobleman paused slightly, a sharp glint suddenly flashing in his watery eyes. He asked, enunciating each word clearly, "What...purpose?"

A faint voice sounded from above: "I asked her to come."

Upon hearing this voice, Zhu Huihui was almost moved to tears. If she could move, she would definitely crawl over, hug the person's leg, and rub against him, wagging her tail. If her mouth were that long, she would wag it like a flower!

"Hero! Hero! Ptooey, ptooey... I didn't spit on you... I spit on grass... Ptooey..."

The young nobleman narrowed his eyes slightly, and a genuine smile finally appeared in his eyes. He stood up gracefully and said cheerfully, "Brother Feng, it's been a long time."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Huihui felt a chill run down her spine. She had been hoping to sow discord between the old man and him to help her get revenge, but it turned out that this smiling tiger and the old man knew each other!

Feng Xuese stood atop the pink wall, a slight smile on her face: "Brother Liu Yue, it has indeed been a long time. How have you been?"

Young Master Liu Yue laughed and said, "It's alright, it's alright. We parted hastily at the Sleepless Pavilion in Gusu last time, but I never expected to meet Brother Feng here again."

The two men greeted each other politely, one more courteous than the other, which made Zhu Huihui, who was lying on the ground, very anxious. He couldn't help but cry out, "Great hero, I'm still lying on the ground!"

Feng Xuese glanced at her, then with a flick of his white robes, he gracefully landed and clasped his hands in a fist salute to Liu Yue: "This girl has offended Brother Liu Yue, please forgive her!"

Liu Yue glanced at the ground and asked, "This... is Brother Feng's maid? I was rude, please forgive me!"

Zhu Huihui was in so much pain she was almost suffocating, while those two were still arguing about who was more well-mannered. She was so angry that she blurted out, "Your mother is the one who's Feng's daughter!" You have to consider the owner before you beat a dog. The master is standing right here, why should she be afraid of that bitch?

Na Liuyue's face suddenly darkened, and she scolded Feng Xuese, "Stop talking nonsense!"

He bent down and massaged her waist, releasing her pressure points. "Don't lie there, get up!"

Zhu Huihui felt a warm force coming from his hand, and the numbness and itching on her body gradually disappeared. She lay on the ground for a while to recover, gritted her teeth, used her waist strength, and sat up straight.

Feng Xue first noticed her arms hanging limply at her sides, then saw the large, purplish-blue bump on her forehead, clearly indicating she had been bullied badly. A sudden surge of displeasure welled up within her. She thought to herself: Although she wasn't very familiar with Liu Yue, he was still a martial arts expert. Even if Zhu Huihui was extremely infuriating, she was still a girl; she shouldn't have been so brutal…

While pondering, he looked up at the sky and seemed to discover something.

Zhu Huihui was extremely curious, and even though her arms were in a sling, she still endured the pain and looked up.

Suddenly, she heard two sharp cracking sounds, and a sharp pain shot through her arm. She cried out, "Ah!" and then cursed, "It hurts so much! Can't you set bones?" She blinked hard, forcing two tears of pain out of her eyes.

Feng Xuese meant well, trying to distract her from the pain before setting her arm, but was scolded instead. Just as he was about to teach her a lesson, he saw tears in her eyes and finally held back.

He held out his palm: "Give it to me!"

Zhu Huihui swung her arm, turned her head to wipe the tears on her shoulder, and asked, "What?"

"The bottle of medicine in the Valley of Sorrow."

"It's gone."

"What? Where did it go?"

"Pour the medicine powder into your fish tank, and we'll trade the bottle for sugar."

"..."

Feng Xuese was speechless at this greedy spendthrift. The healing medicine from Beikong Valley was not only good for healing bones and muscles, but it could even bring the dead back to life and make flesh grow back. Its effects were miraculous and it was hard to buy even with a thousand pieces of gold in the martial arts world. This spendthrift actually fed the medicine powder to the fish just to exchange the bottle for a few candies!

"Very well! In that case, you can keep this bump on your head," Feng Xuese said calmly.

Zhu Huihui raised her hand and carefully pressed it against her forehead. The bump was the size of an egg, burning hot to the touch, and throbbing numbly. She frowned, enduring the pain, and said, "This isn't much of an injury; it'll heal in a few days! When I was little, I broke my hand, and that really hurt. I went home and cried to my mother, and she beat me. My mother said, either you learn to become thick-skinned so you don't feel pain when you get hurt, or you just have to bear the pain yourself, because no one will pity you!"

Feng Xuese paused for a moment, then decided there was no need to get angry with this wild girl who lacked proper education. She gently pulled down the hand that was covering her head, glanced at the purplish-blue bump, and thankfully, it wasn't broken. She would apply some ointment later and wait for the bruise to subside.

Young Master Liu Yue gently waved his folding fan, watching Feng Xue Se finish dealing with Zhu Hui Hui, and then asked with a smile, "May I ask, Brother Feng, did you come to this desolate mountain temple to find a granddaughter so you can go back and see your mother one last time before she passed away?"

Feng Xuese, not understanding his meaning, avoided answering and instead asked, "Brother Liuyue, what brings you to Luomei Hermitage?"

Zhu Huihui tiptoed and whispered into Feng Xuese's ear, "Hero, he's having an affair with the nun in this temple!" Although she lowered her voice, she did it on purpose so that the other person could hear her.

Such vulgar and offensive slander left Young Master Liuyue speechless with rage. He paused for a moment, looked away, pretending not to have heard, but his face darkened slightly. With a "snap," he closed his folding fan, then opened it again, fanning himself faster as if he were terribly hot.

Feng Xuese glared at her, then looked at Liu Yue with an apologetic smile: "This girl has had little guidance since childhood, so she is naturally rude. Brother Liu Yue, please don't take offense!"

Liu Yue, being very cultured, simply smiled and said, "Brother Feng, you're overreacting. How could I possibly lower myself to the level of a little girl!" Her gaze, however, lingered on Zhu Huihui's face. She'd never seen such a sharp-tongued girl before; she had to teach her a lesson!

The moment Zhu Huihui met his gaze, her little heart skipped a beat. Suddenly remembering something, sweat beaded on her forehead. She was such a fool; she'd been rambling on like this, and was afraid she'd ruined something important…

She tugged at the snow-white hem of her robe in a panic: "Great hero, something's not right. This temple... seems to be deserted..." She'd been searching here for so long and hadn't seen a single nun!

Feng Xuese nodded slightly: "Even if there are any, they're all dead!"
