Kapitel 7

Xu Chen looked in the direction he was pointing and said, "Who? There's nothing there."

"You can't see or hear anything. This isn't a place to stay. Let's leave quickly."

"You're trying to scare me again. I'm not leaving. If you want to leave, go by yourself." Xu Chen turned his head away and ignored Gu Xing.

Gu Xing said angrily, "If anything happens to you, don't blame me for ignoring you." Then he walked down the stairs.

"Whatever," Xu Chen said in a fit of pique.

Gu hadn't walked far when she thought: What if something really happens to her?

By this time, Gu Xing had already fallen for Xu Chen. Gu Xing hurriedly returned to the rooftop and saw Xu Chen clinging to the railing, the wind constantly blowing through her hair. She tilted her head back, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the cool breeze. Gu Xing went over to her, and Xu Chen, noticing his return, said somewhat angrily, "Didn't you leave?"

"I can't let anything happen to you, I'm worried about you." Gu Xing said these words without thinking at all. After hearing this, Xu Chen turned half of her face away shyly, and a faint blush slowly appeared on both sides of her face.

At this moment, the strange noises stopped, and the woman in the air disappeared. The wind was refreshing, and there were chirping crickets and rustling leaves. Gu Xing approached Xu Chen, hugged her tightly, and kissed her despite her pointless struggles.

Then, Gu Xing held Xu Chen in his arms, chatting while looking at the stars. Gu Xing had already forgotten about the ghosts and monsters; the eerie thing didn't reappear until dawn. The two left the library, Gu Xing collected his things, got on his bicycle, and took Xu Chen back to the girls' dormitory.

In room 202, Li Xu was looking at the newspaper that had been torn in half, while Zhang Da was rubbing his buttocks and cursing angrily: "That bastard Gu Xing, I asked him to buy toilet paper and he didn't come back all night. I had to use the newspaper last night, and then I had an upset stomach and almost rubbed my butt raw."

Gu Xinggang had just returned to his dorm room when he heard Zhang Da cursing at him. He laughed and said, "Don't be angry, I've already bought it, haven't I?"

"I spent a romantic evening with her on the library rooftop last night." Gu Xing looked blissful, seemingly having forgotten about those strange things.

Gu Xing ignored him and sat back on the bed. Zhang Da sneered and said, "We haven't even met her yet. I think that Xu Chen must be very..." Gu Xing disagreed: "Say what you want."

Li Xu walked up to Gu Xing and said, "Why don't you bring him over tonight to show everyone?"

As evening approached, although he didn't call Yang Mian, he came to the dormitory to discuss the trip. Gu Xing had just woken up, and Li Xu told Yang Mian about what happened that morning. Yang Mian was also very interested and urged Gu Xing to quickly call Xu Chen over.

Gu Xing triumphantly dialed the phone number of the girls' dormitory from the dormitory duty room and found Xu Chen.

Gu Xing pointed at Li Xu and said to the air beside him, "His name is Li Xu." Then he pointed at Yang Mian...

Instantly, Room 202 fell silent as everyone watched Gu Xing's solo performance.

Chapter Five: Xu Chen's Game

Da Kai and Yang Mian carried two cases of beer, while Zhang Da and Li Xu carried several bags of snacks. The four walked side by side, with Gu Xing behind them gesturing and muttering to himself. Tonight, they planned to stay at Yang Mian's house all night long.

"Hey, is Gu Xing crazy? He's been talking to himself ever since he got back to the dorm, like he's possessed," Li Xu whispered as he approached Yang Mian.

"I don't know either." Yang Mian turned around and looked at Gu Xing with concern. He saw Gu Xing talking to himself, and the serious expression on his face made it seem as if someone was really listening to him.

"It must be because his girlfriend is ugly and he's too afraid to bring her back to us, so he's just pretending to be crazy here," Zhang Da insisted.

Yang Mian looked back again and said, "No, Gu Xing isn't the type to be so concerned about saving face. I really don't know what he's up to."

They arrived at Yang Mian's apartment shortly afterward. Yang Mian and the others had placed their things on the table, but Gu Xing was nowhere to be seen. Yang Yi asked, "Brother, where is Brother Gu Xing?"

Yang Mian sighed: "It's in the back."

Yang Yi stood at the door waiting, only to see Gu Xing walk in arm in arm with a very beautiful girl, chatting and laughing. Yang Yi was immediately furious and asked, "Brother Gu Xing, who is she?"

Yang Mian said, "Is he Xu Chen?"

"Is she alright?" Xu Chen asked, looking at Yang Yi's door with concern.

"She... is fine." After Yang Mian finished speaking, he sat down on the sofa opposite Gu Xing with Da Kai, Zhang Da, and Li Xu. The atmosphere was heavy.

"Was that girl your sister?" Xu Chen asked Yang Mian with a smile.

"Yes...yes," Yang Mian said with a forced smile.

"Li Xu, I heard you're a Buddhist, is that right?" Xu Chen asked with a smile.

"Yes...yes." Li Xu smiled ingratiatingly.

"Da Kai, you are so tall and strong. You must exercise regularly."

"No problem...no problem." He smiled obsequiously.

"Zhang Da, Gu Xing said you are the best student. I will definitely ask you for help when I have the chance."

"I wouldn't dare... I wouldn't dare," Zhang Da said with a forced smile.

“We were talking about some things related to the trip.” Yang Mian forced a smile and said, “It’s almost eleven o’clock now, Gu Xing, you should take them back to their dorm.”

"It's alright, didn't you guys say you were going to stay here all night? I don't mind." Xu Chen sat back down next to Gu Xing, seemingly not planning to leave.

Yang Mian and the others were very anxious and couldn't think of a solution for a while. Just then, Yang Yi rushed out of the room.

"Get out! You're not welcome here." With that, Yang Yi went back into the room and slammed the door shut.
