Braut mit Geisteraugen 2 - Kapitel 26

Kapitel 26

He couldn't help but open his arms and rush forward, hugging the tree trunk tightly. Due to the excessive force, he almost spun into the pond.

He rubbed his sore lips, took out his phone, and dialed, his voice filled with deep emotion: "Hello? Is this Mengliu? It's Haibing..."

QQ Lost, Chapter 38 (2)

Meng Liu's alert voice came through the phone: "...What is it?"

Xu Haibing hesitated, her voice choked with emotion, "Oh, I..."

"...Never mind if there's nothing else." The other party hung up.

Xu Haibing dialed again: "Mengliu, listen to me..."

Meng Liu's impatient voice: "What else is there to say? Everything's already been explained!"

"I mean..." The only response he got was a busy signal.

Xu Haibing gritted his teeth and dialed again: "Mengliu, I think..."

Mengliu screamed, "If you call again, I'm calling the police!"

Xu Haibing deflated like a punctured balloon, sliding down the tree trunk with a "whoosh" and sitting down on the ground with a "thud".

The tender and affectionate expressions on Meng Liu's face, and her malicious and aggressive ones, flashed back and forth before his eyes. He couldn't understand why she had turned so heartless in an instant. He shook his head in great pain, and soon he leaned against the tree trunk and dozed off...

His hand, holding the phone, rested limply on the grass.

It's almost identical to a pair of backless casual shoes next to it!

A mist is gradually rising over the pond...

Suddenly a frog leaped up and landed on a large lotus leaf, its bulging eyes darting around alertly!

A dark shadow lurked within the sparse canopy of the weeping willow—

He peeked his head down, wearing a black baseball cap, then stretched out his bare legs with rolled-up trousers, before quickly pulling them back in.

Xu Haibing leaned against the tree roots, drooling, and fell into a deep sleep.

The shadowy figure trapped in the tree pondered for a moment, then caught a small insect-like thing from the treetop, held it between its toes, slowly lowered it, and gently placed it behind Xu Haibing's ear before immediately pulling its leg back.

The little insect crawled down Xu Haibing's cheek all the way to the highest point on his face—the tip of his nose.

Xu Haibing suddenly woke up, scrutinizing the uninvited guest on his nose with cross-eyed stares. He shakily reached out and took it down, examining it closely—

A cicada in autumn!

He stood up, intending to throw the captured cicada into the pond, but then changed his mind and respectfully placed it on the tree trunk, watching it tug and scramble upwards, and smiled innocently.

The dark figure lurked in the tree canopy, keeping watch.

As the effects of the alcohol wore off, Xu Haibing left with a sense of relief.

The dark figure nimbly climbed down the tree trunk and slipped onto a pair of casual shoes lying on the grass. Just then, he noticed the phone's indicator light flashing beside the shoe, picked it up, hesitated, looked around, and then swiftly climbed halfway up the tree trunk, hanging the phone pouch on a branch…

Xu Haibing hadn't gone far when he heard a "plop" from the pond behind him. He stopped in surprise, turned around to check what had happened, and reached into his pocket, only to realize that his phone was missing.

He returned to the pond, looked around the big willow tree carefully, looked up in disappointment, but was pleasantly surprised to find his phone dangling above him. He quickly jumped up to pick it up, but missed, and then jumped up again to pick it up again.

The dark figure hidden behind the artificial hill not far away couldn't help but cover its mouth and chuckle.

Xu Haibing finally managed to grab the phone, but before he could even feel happy, the momentum carried him high into the pond, startling a chorus of frogs!

The shadowy figure chuckled, but immediately suppressed it and quietly retreated...

The soft moonlight streamed into Xu Haibing's bedroom, illuminating the wet clothes hanging on the clothes rack, the wet sandals on the floor, and Xu Haibing, half-asleep in bed...

At that moment, a mosquito was buzzing and chirping incessantly around him.

He adopted an evasive attitude, waving his hand haphazardly with his eyes closed to shoo it away a couple of times, then covered his head and went back to sleep.

When a mosquito bites his foot, he pulls his foot away; when a mosquito bites his back, he scratches his back; mosquitoes…

Xu Haibing, unable to bear it any longer, got up in a fit of anger and chased after the mosquitoes. The sheet covering him slipped off, revealing his naked body. He quickly put the sheet back on and continued chasing, but the sheet held him back, preventing him from moving freely.

Without hesitation, he grabbed the sheet and started waving it around the room, naked and unrestrained.

The sheets fluttered in the wind, dazzling the eye.

The mosquitoes scurried away, exhausted from their efforts.

Xu Haibing moved nimbly up and down, his hands and eyes swift and agile.

"Smack!" The sheet slammed hard onto the top of the computer screen.

He carefully lifted the sheet and examined the dead mosquitoes closely: not on top of the monitor! Not on the desktop or the keyboard! He looked further up—

A mosquito was panting heavily, perched on the power button on the screen...

He held his breath, raised his thumb, and pressed it down sharply.

"Bang!" The screen was accidentally turned on.

He saw half a dead mosquito and blood stuck to his thumb, and a victor's smile spread across his face.

He noticed the computer screen was on, so he turned it off. Then he saw that there was still half of a dead mosquito stuck to the power button, so he wiped it with the corner of the sheet. But when he used force, the screen turned on again!

Xu Haibing shook his head helplessly, then wrapped himself in the sheet, sat down, and turned on the computer...

Outside the window, the moonlight was as white as if it had been washed.

The digital clock on the table showed the time as 3:40 a.m.

The QQ panel has been brought up on the computer screen.

Xu Haibing, feeling groggy, was interrupted halfway through a yawn by a "chirping" sound.

A female face kept popping up in the "Strangers" section of the panel!

Under the changing red, yellow, blue, and green fluorescent light, his long-awaited online name appeared.

naughty wild girl

Xu Haibing was quite surprised and quickly moved the mouse to click. A dialog box popped up, displaying the message:

"Are you doing well in that foreign land...?"

Xu Haibing immediately clicked "Reply to Message," typed a few words quickly, and was about to click the "Send Message" button when his raised finger stopped in mid-air!

He thought for a moment, then ran out of the bedroom. Halfway there, he realized he was naked, so he turned back, grabbed a sheet, wrapped it around his waist, and ran out of the bedroom again.

He suddenly pushed open the door to his mother's bedroom next door, and immediately noticed a small light in the darkness. He was startled and looked closely—

QQ Lost, Chapter 38 (3)

The mother, with her hair disheveled, was sitting half-sitting on the bed, smoking and lost in thought!

Xu Haibing reached for the switch on the wall and turned on the room light.

Xu's mother suddenly woke up and quickly put out her cigarette.

"How did you learn to smoke?" Xu Haibing flicked away the smoke with his hand, casually complaining, before walking to the bedside to shake the sleeping Mao Dan.

Xu's mother quickly stopped her, saying, "Hey, why are you doing this to him?"

Tell him he has something to say!

"What's wrong with you? It's not even 4 o'clock yet!"

"Tomorrow's Sunday, and I have something extremely urgent!"

"He has an exam tomorrow morning, so we'll have to wait until tomorrow..."

Xu Haibing stamped his feet anxiously, "Oh dear, by tomorrow it'll be too late! Hurry!"

Mao Dan was woken up by the noise and mumbled sleepily, "...Oh, Brother Hai, oh, Uncle...Uncle..." Xu Haibing asked eagerly, "What's your QQ number? Tell me quickly!"

Mao Dan, his eyes half-closed, said, "Hmm, let me think... it's on the machine..."

"You have it?! What are you thinking about?!" Xu Haibing ran back to her bedroom, picked up Mao Dan's number from the QQ login window, then suddenly remembered something and ran to the next bedroom to shake Mao Dan awake: "Hey, hey, don't go back to sleep, what's the password?"

Mao Dan mumbled indistinctly, "...Um, I'd rather die than tell, I have a right to privacy..."

"I will compensate you according to the law for the value of your privacy rights! Please tell me now, I need the money urgently!"

Mao Dan conceded: "...Um, alright, for the sake of the four old men, I'll tell you... The password is your home phone number, you absolutely must..."

Xu Haibing ran back and immediately entered the password in the "User Password" box of the QQ login window to log in to Mao Dan's QQ. Then, he opened Mao Dan's basic information window and saw that the registered username was "Old Clever Ghost." After thinking for a moment, he changed it to "Honest Silly Boy," which corresponded to "Mischievous Wild Girl." He then brought up the "Search and Add User" window, entered "Mischievous Wild Girl's" QQ number, and added it as a "friend."

The "Mischievous Wild Girl" face appeared in the "My Friends" section of the QQ panel!

Xu Haibing raised his fist in celebration of his initial victory, then brought up the "Mischievous Wild Girl" chat window and began pondering what to say as his first line...

The desktop electronic clock shows the time as 4:00.

"Achoo!" Xu Haibing, who wasn't wearing any clothes, couldn't help but sneeze because of the cold.

He suddenly had a brilliant idea, and immediately typed "Achoo!" into the chat box and sent it to "Mischievous Wild Girl," then crossed his arms and waited expectantly for her reply...

The clock ticked silently, second by second...

The face of the "mischievous tomboy" flashed!

Under Xu Haibing's excited gaze, the mask material transformed into the lifelike image of a girl with pigtails!

He suppressed his excitement as he read her reply, as if he could see that spirited girl with pigtails standing with her hands on her hips, asking him questions like a grown-up:

"Whose child is this! So young, running a fever, and with a long, snotty nose, running around like that? Get your parents to come and take you home!"

Xu Haibing found it very strange. Judging from the tone, the spirited girl suddenly transformed into a fierce old lady with pigtails!

The simple-minded young man asked, "Grandma, how old are you?"

The mischievous tomboy said, "Stop trying to impress me. Just call me 'Auntie.' I've only been eating rice for less than 20 years longer than you."

Twenty years older than me? In Xu Haibing's imagination, that fierce old lady transformed into a stern middle-aged woman with pigtails!

The mischievous tomboy said, "Auntie, your child is almost a senior in high school, right? You must be exhausted taking care of your parents and your child. Why aren't you resting so late? Are you perhaps looking for a second spring online?"

The mischievous wild girl said, "I haven't even found my first spring yet... Hey, how old are you anyway? How do you know so much, you're just a little brat? Are you a fertilizer addict? Or someone who works in a greenhouse? You're way too precocious!"

Xu Haibing suddenly realized what was going on and quickly checked the "Basic Information" window. He saw that the "Age" column was filled with Mao Dan's age: "9". He had forgotten to change it!

He slapped his forehead and quickly changed the "9" to "29," which finally allowed him to smoothly start a conversation with the "mischievous tomboy" young woman he had imagined to be around his age.

The simple-minded young man said, "I just filled in my age randomly; I'm actually 29 this year."

The mischievous wild girl said, "You can fill in anything, but you can't fill in your age! That's a huge disrespect to your parents. Think about it, if you fill it in too old, your mom will still be an unmarried virgin; if you fill it in too young, you can't be recycled and sent back to where you came from. Stay away from me, you seem like a defective product, I'm not interested in you."
