Chapter 41

The door opened the instant the gunshot rang out.

The door was kicked open, and the butler, looking worried, rushed in with several servants.

After a series of loud bangs, the room fell silent...

The butler and three or five vampire servants stood frozen in Qin Chu's room, staring at the coffin in the center of the room.

This coffin, which had been neatly arranged for hundreds of years, not only spun around like a millstone, but even chipped its lid. The thick, soft red velvet cloth inside was now half-protruding from the coffin, swaying precariously.

The other half... was pressed against the back of a vampire hunter.

Their esteemed, great, and tasteful prince was now lying on top of this lowly vampire hunter, tearing his clothes off!

In short, it was fucking intense!

For a moment, everyone in the room seemed to have lost the ability to speak.

Only one shameless person still had the nerve to look at the gun and sigh, "Ah, my only bullet!"

Qin Chu smacked the guy in the face with the butt of his gun, then nimbly jumped out of the coffin.

K covered her face and remained silent. Fortunately, the touch only left a faint red mark; otherwise, she would have been disfigured.

The butler, true to his word, quickly recovered from the shock and asked Qin Chu, "Your Highness, what was that gunshot just now? Was it that lowly vampire hunter who used his beauty to seduce someone and then fired a shot at the crucial moment?"

The butler didn't finish his sentence, but even a ghost could understand what he meant.

The other servants also stared indignantly at the hunter in the coffin, and one of them pointed at the hunter and said threateningly, "Although our prince is old, he is not someone you can lay a finger on!"

Qin Chu: "..." Can't you speak properly? Don't even think about getting promoted.

Seeing several servants surrounding K to tie him up, Qin Chu knew very well that with this idiot's skills, escaping would be more than a piece of cake.

But after glancing at the hunter's wound and thinking about his own mission progress, he casually replied to the butler, "It was just an accidental discharge."

His words only made things worse, as they revealed a deep sigh and emotion in the butler's eyes.

That look in his eyes was like that of a loyal minister looking at a foolish emperor who was bewitched by a seductive concubine and was even covering for her.

After a whole day of running around, the sun soon set.

Qin Chu was forced to stand in front of the "dressing mirror" to tidy up his appearance, mainly to fix his messy hair that had become after the fight.

The servants in the castle are very busy when they get up in the evening.

One of the double doors to Qin Chu's bedroom had fallen off, and the butler was leading people to try and put it back in. The coffin in the room had been straightened, but the hunter who had been lying inside was nowhere to be found.

No one knows how he got there, and no one saw how he left.

The coffin had been re-lined with red velvet cloth, but the lid was chipped, and the replacement wouldn't be ready for another three days. Seemingly unwilling to let Qin Chu use a broken coffin lid, the butler ingeniously covered the lid with another layer of white cloth.

It looks more and more like a funeral scene.

While enduring the hairstylist fiddling with his hair, Qin Chu observed the servants' actions through the mirror.

He noticed that after they rearranged the coffin, they slightly moved the positions of some other items, gradually creating a large open space.

Qin Chu was confused and thought the butler was going to bring in another large coffin.

But Qin Chu's doubts were soon explained when the last remaining door to the bedroom was opened, and several servants carried in a large bed.

The bed frame and bed board came in at the front, and there was a soft and fluffy mattress at the back.

Qin Chu didn't show it on his face, but Noah knew perfectly well that their commander's pleasure level was soaring because of the appearance of this bed. In that instant, Noah was certain that, for the first time, these vampires appeared so handsome in Qin Chu's eyes.

However, before Qin Chu's pleasure level could continue to rise, the butler came over and said, "Your Highness, please don't misunderstand. The human bedding is for that lowly hunter."

Qin Chu's face fell immediately. Damn it, why should I prepare this for him?

Noah interjected, "You should ask why his bed is in your bedroom."

Qin Chu: "..."

He didn't ask, but he had a feeling he would hear some strange answer.

The butler continued to reassure him: "You will continue to sleep in your noble coffin."

Qin Chu's face was practically cracking from the cold: "...Thank you."

Hearing Qin Chu's thanks, the butler was very excited: "It is my duty to share your burdens!"

Qin Chu turned back around with a sullen expression.

This group of despicable vampires treated him with extreme respect.

Qin Chu really didn't have a solution for the time being.

After looking at the gun he had stolen from K, Qin Chu originally planned to take some time that night to disassemble it and see how humanity's current level of weapon development was.

But looking at the vampires around him who were working diligently, General Qin had a change of heart and felt that it was a little impolite to be researching weapons to fight vampires in front of them.

After considering it for a moment, Qin Chu said to the butler, "I'm going out tonight, so don't prepare any more late-night snacks."

The butler was very surprised to hear this: "Do you have something urgent to attend to today?"

He glanced at the time as he spoke: "But it's too late to notify them. The young masters will be here in an hour."

This statement was so revealing that Qin Chu was taken aback: "What young master?"

Last night, just one little kid exhausted him both physically and mentally, and now he's still nagging.

The butler patiently explained, "Your Highness's day off is over, and today is the first day of school. The parents of the newborns have probably already set off, and of course, Young Master Alford, whom you just blessed yesterday, will also be coming."

Qin Chu was stunned by the news. Damn it, what happened to not taking care of the child?

Outside the gates of the Prince's Castle, one magnificent carriage after another was parked.

Stylish and glamorous ladies had already stepped out of the car, greeting each other and exchanging the latest gossip. The scene was not much different from that of people sending their children to school in the human world, except that they weren't in a hurry to get to work, and the atmosphere was even more lively.

Lady Alford did not participate in her sisters' conversation; she stood there with her fan in hand, seemingly lost in thought.

After a while, the lady finally couldn't help but turn her head and ask, "Sisters, do you remember what His Highness the Prince's blessing was for the child?"

Actually, if it weren't for the fear of being too embarrassed, Mrs. Alford would have liked to ask what the posture was at the time.

It can't be just her kid being lifted up like a cat.

Asking a child what blessings they received is essentially asking how their child is doing, isn't it?

Upon hearing this topic, the ladies, who had been chatting animatedly, paused, and a secret pride appeared on each of their faces.

“Blessings… Oh, the blessing my child received two years ago, I’ve almost forgotten it.” A lady proudly shook her fan, but her expression didn’t seem like she had forgotten.

Seeing their expressions, Mrs. Alford felt even more distressed.

Seeing this, a lady comforted her, "Actually, it's nothing. It mostly depends on His Highness's mood at the time."

However, as she continued to comfort him, the lady became a little arrogant: "But when my son came over, His Highness the Prince was in a good mood and told my little one to grow up safely and healthily..."

Upon hearing this, some of the ladies couldn't help but exclaim, "What's so special about this? Do you know what blessing my son received? His Highness the Prince said he will be the new Prince of the vampires!"

These words immediately caused an uproar in front of the castle.

The lady who had just said she forgot suddenly raised her voice: "What did you say? His Highness the Prince said that my child is the future new Prince!"

A lady who had just gotten off the car in the distance chimed in, "Bullshit! The new prince is clearly my little princess!"

The atmosphere grew increasingly heated. The ladies who had just been pretending to be demure argued vehemently about the issue. Upon inquiry, they discovered that all eight parents present, except for the Alford family, had received the blessing of becoming the new princes of the vampire clan.

In an instant, the fiery atmosphere outside the castle gates plummeted to freezing point, resembling a major charlatan's disastrous performance.

Then, as if a storm had just passed, the ladies were fighting tooth and nail over a single blessing.

Mrs. Alford, who was initially quite disappointed, suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of superiority amidst this strange chaos.

She closed her fan and smiled gracefully.

Seeing her like this, the woman, whose hat had been ripped off, retorted, "What are you laughing at? What kind of blessing did your child receive?"

Lady Alford became even more smug: "Anyway, they're all different from yours." Although she didn't understand what the prince meant.

In that instant, all the ladies cast envious glances at Mrs. Alford.

An hour later, Qin Chu, his handsome face frozen in the cold, appeared before the castle gates, where this bizarre scene unfolded before him:

Seven or eight ladies looked at him accusingly, as if he had committed some heinous crime. Meanwhile, Lady Alford, who had left the castle the day before in a daze with her child, gave him a deeply grateful smile.

Looking at Mrs. Alford's smile, General Qin always felt it was ironic.

But Qin Chu quickly looked away from the group of ladies.

One by one, young gentlemen in suits and bow ties, and little princesses in tutu skirts, were carried down from the carriage and ran to Qin Chu, bowing and greeting him: "Good evening, Your Highness."

"Good evening." Qin Chu replied with a blank face. Although he was saying good evening, his tone sounded like "I want to die."

The group of little kids in front of him ranged in age from five or six to seven or eight.

Vampires are generally good-looking; they grow up to be handsome, and they're adorable as children.

But in Qin Chu's eyes, these little things were anything but cute; they were just a bunch of tiny monsters who were incredibly weak but still loved to cause trouble.

Qin Chu mentally kicked himself: "Stop playing dead, is there any way to back out of this?"

“No…” Noah said cautiously, “This is a very important part of the prince’s daily life.”

Qin Chu felt there was something wrong with this mission.

In the last world, although he had children, at least they were high school students, and there were only three of them at most. Now, he's completely degenerated into a kindergarten principal, with eight little vampires revolving around him.

At times, General Qin was very self-aware. He asked Noah in return, "Do you think it's easier for me to ruin my image by refusing them, or by taking care of the children?"

Noah: "..." He was speechless for a moment.

But Noah suddenly remembered something and became somewhat excited: "Sir, don't treat them like children. Each of them represents the progress of the mission! If you give these eight children another blessing, that will be eight percent of the progress!"

Qin Chu: "..." With such a stupid system, he always felt that his life was in danger.

No matter how Qin Chu refused, this matter was not up to him.

While he was still talking to Noah, the little brats in front of him had already swarmed into the castle, with only the youngest, Lord Alford, remembering to turn back and glance at Qin Chu.

Things were worse than Qin Chu had imagined.

He had assumed that with these children being cared for by servants, their arrival wouldn't affect him much beyond being a nuisance. But Qin Chu hadn't expected that these little brats seemed to have some special expectations of him.

In art class, Qin Chu was handed a canvas.

He looked up at the butler: "What do you mean?"
