Chapter 42

The steward looked kindly at the children waiting around and said to Qin Chu, "Your Highness, the children are waiting for your demonstration!"

Qin Chu: "..."

Demonstrating my ass! He's only ever handled a gun in his life, never held a paintbrush.

Qin Chu stood up to leave, but when he looked down, he met eight pairs of bright, large eyes, each filled with admiration and longing. This heartwarming scene, in Qin Chu's eyes, was no less gratifying than being watched by eight star beasts.

He hesitated for a moment, barely preparing to come up with an excuse, when Noah reminded him in his mind: "Sir, character design!"

Qin Chu sneered: "It would be a complete disaster if it were actually drawn."

Noah nodded, very pleased: "You're becoming more and more self-aware."

Qin Chu: "..."

Noah then offered advice: "Don't be afraid, I'll give you a simple picture, you can just copy it."

When Qin Chu looked at the scene Noah had provided, he saw that it was a common one: a tablecloth and a few apples.

That's all we can do.

Qin Chu held a paintbrush in his right hand, as if he were holding a sword.

He stared intently at the image in his mind, not as if he were copying a painting, but as if he were facing some extremely difficult star beast. Finally, under everyone's watchful eyes, Qin Chu raised his hand and drew a few circles on the canvas.

Noah breathed a sigh of relief; at least he had finished drawing it.

Just then, the butler standing behind Qin Chu clapped enthusiastically and surrounded Qin Chu's little vampire, saying, "Look, how perfectly His Highness drew the egg!"

Noah: "..."

Qin Chu couldn't resist and snapped the paintbrush in half.

The kids eagerly craned their necks to look at the canvas, and one of the bolder ones even grabbed Qin Chu's pants.

General Qin was in a tense combat state when he subconsciously kicked the little vampire that was holding him and flung it away.

A parabola-like arc shot upwards, and the little vampire flew straight towards the ceiling.

Everyone in the room was stunned.

Noah screamed, "Holy crap, we're going to join the Mainframe!"

In a flash, Qin Chu flew up and caught the little brat who was almost stuck to the ceiling as a mural in his arms.

So much happened in that instant that the butler was still in a state of shock, his jaw dropping to the floor, when Qin Chu landed on the ground.

Looking at the room full of puppets.

Qin Chu paused for two seconds, then asked Noah, "Should we run away?"

Noah burst into tears: "What else can we do but run away? Wait for the mainframe to come and arrest us?!"

Just as Noah was preparing to leave the world with a long face, the little vampire that Qin Chu was holding seemed to finally come to its senses.

He glanced at Qin Chu, then at the other little vampires, and stared at the ceiling, smugly declaring, "Fly!"

Qin Chu was stunned, thinking to himself, "Is this kid scared out of his wits? How can he even brag about something like this?"

The next second, Qin Chu felt a lot of hangers stuck to his legs. Looking down, he saw the remaining seven little vampires clinging to his legs like octopuses.

They pointed to the ceiling: "I want to fly too!"

Qin Chu: "..."

Noah: "..."

That's unbelievable.

The steward's expression finally returned to its kind tone: "Your Highness, you can't spoil these children too much."

Looking at the pendant on his leg, Qin Chu nodded: "That makes sense."

He had no interest in playing with these little monsters.

The butler added, "After all, they also have vocal lessons, dance lessons, history lessons..."

Qin Chu raised his hand and tossed a little vampire into the air to fly high. He tossed several in a row, then said to the butler with a serious face, "We need to balance work and rest. Today's classes will all be changed to flying classes."

Chapter 33, Second Story (8)

Qin Chu was oversimplifying things.

Finally slipping out of the classroom, Qin Chu headed towards his room. He took two steps, paused, glanced back twice out of the corner of his eye, and then gradually quickened his pace.

Unfortunately... a group of little vampires followed and sped up.

Thus, a bizarre scene unfolded in the Prince's castle:

The esteemed prince runs ahead, while a bunch of little rascals chase after him with their short legs, resembling a scene from the popular children's drama "Little Tadpoles Looking for Their Mother."

The scene became very tense.

In this situation, Qin Chu strangely recalled a mission he had once undertaken.

He piloted a spacecraft alone into the territory of the Star Beasts to rescue a child who had been thrown there by space pirates to distract them. When he returned, no fewer than ten high-level Star Beasts had crashed behind his spacecraft.

But Qin Chu remained calm and unhurried until they reached the warning line, at which point he ordered his subordinates to activate the planet's protective shield.

But with only eight children, Qin Chu was already sweating profusely from being chased.

Of course, General Qin firmly believed that it was not out of fear, but out of anger.

Although these little ones are vampires, they are just like human children of the same age, their steps are not very steady, and they will fall to the ground with a "thud" if they are not careful.

With eight children gathered together, who knows if a stampede might occur?

Qin Chu walked quickly ahead, while also keeping an eye on the group of little monsters behind him.

As he passed a staircase, Qin Chu realized that he could use the vampire's special abilities, after all, he was also a prince.

His figure vanished instantly, and the little vampires lagging behind looked left and right but couldn't find him, so they simply went down the stairs. However, they overestimated the length of their legs; one of the little ones lost his footing, and two others tumbled down the stairs ahead.

Having just escaped one disaster, Qin Chu had no choice but to reappear, picking them up one by one and placing them on the ground.

The group of kids found it quite interesting, and several of them lined up and stretched out their hands towards Qin Chu: "We want to play too."

What a joke.

Qin Chu's face completely lost its ability to express emotions.

Faced with a group of soft, helpless children, whom he couldn't hit or scold, General Qin had no choice but to condescend to Noah for help: "Is there any way to stop them from following me?"

Noah said in a serious tone, "Sir, this is the consequence of letting them skip class."

"Heh." Qin Chu sneered, "Is that teaching them or teaching me?"

Noah thought to himself, "That's true. If this class continues, they'll be kicked out sooner or later."

"Sir, although this prince likes children very much, he doesn't spoil them unconditionally. Why don't you scold them a little?"

"How fierce?" Qin Chu's mind went blank, and he even asked Noah, "Am I not fierce enough now?"

Noah then countered: "You usually treat me very harshly."

Then Noah thought of someone else: "You were also very fierce to that vampire hunter."

Qin Chu understood at this point.

He reached into his clothes and pulled out a gun.

“Actually, there’s no need to be so fierce!” Noah quickly stopped him, adding, “Of course, don’t do the kind of fighting that happens in kindergarten.”

No one was doing it, no one was doing it, Qin Chu was getting really annoyed.

The images of vampires in his mind, which used to be nothing but fleeing figures, now also included utmost respect. To say he was a fierce person...

Qin Chu could only think of the young master Alford, whom he had lifted up.

So... Noah saw Qin Chu turn around to face a group of little vampires, open his mouth to reveal his fangs, and hiss like a cat.

The little vampire being swatted: "..."

Qin Chu, who had never done anything so childish before: "..."

Noah covered his face and reminded him, "From a behavioral perspective, a cat's hiss is actually a manifestation of fear."

Qin Chu: "..." It seems a bit embarrassing.

That wasn't all. Qin Chu suddenly heard a very familiar low laugh coming from behind him.

He turned his head and saw K leaning against the stair railing, clapping at him: "So fierce."

Qin Chu: "..."

After a long silence, General Qin said, "Noah, let's discuss this..."

Noah sighed, "Forget about it, there's no way to change worlds... not even planets."

Okay, then the only way is to kill him to silence him.

Qin Chu stepped forward and grabbed the hunter by the collar: "What are you doing here?"

"Want to know?" The hunter leaned against the railing and smiled at Qin Chu. "Then you should give me a yelp, and I'll tell you."

Qin Chu frowned, grabbed the man by the collar, and threw him down the stairs.

To prevent the group of children behind them from getting interested in this "game," Qin Chu simply called out, "Let's go, let's go back."

A group of kids immediately followed Qin Chu closely.

Qin Chu checked the time. These little vampires eat four meals a night. Apart from the first dinner which they have at home, he is responsible for the remaining three dinners.

It was almost midnight, time for a late-night snack, but Qin Chu didn't take the child back to the classroom. Instead, he went straight to the restaurant downstairs.

A short while later, K, who had just been thrown down, climbed back up and leisurely slumped at the back of the line, disguising himself as an older child.

Having been chased for most of the castle, they inevitably passed by Qin Chu's bedroom on their way back.

The bedroom door remained open, and the two vampire servants were still working hard to put the door back in place.

Whether these vampires are too inefficient due to their long lifespans or are simply slow-witted, they haven't made any substantial progress despite fiddling around for most of the night since evening.

After staring at it for a while, Qin Chu couldn't stand it anymore.
