Chapter 139

Mulin opened the door of the aircraft and said only, "This is the responsibility of the Crown Prince of the Empire."

"Responsibility? You still talk about responsibility? Have you all forgotten how he was born!"

Dudley was already trembling.

He reached out and took off the badge representing the cabinet from his chest, stuck it on the aircraft door, and then jogged away from Roy Palace.

On the night the man in black left, Levy had another dream.

Unlike the previous dreams, this one didn't have any specific plot; it only had a vague scene.

He stood in front of an old-fashioned table, writing something, writing and writing, but he was never quite satisfied.

Waste paper was piled up all over the ground, but he was still writing repeatedly.

What I wrote down wasn't complicated; it was just a few short sentences, but it always revolved around one name.

He wrote dozens of pages of bright yellow paper, changing the content and wording along the way, but only that name remained unchanged.

Levy wanted to remember the name, but his memory faded quickly after waking up, and in the end, nothing remained.

Levi rolled over in bed, rubbed his temples, and walked to the foot of the bed to take out a board covered by a black cloth.

He picked up a pen and casually scribbled a few words on the board.

If the old steward were here, he would find that everything written on the board was a story told by the man in the black robe.

Levy noted down a few keywords for each story to help him recall them.

He remembered the previous stories smoothly, but the one he had just heard today seemed difficult to recall no matter how hard he tried. It seemed the man in black robes had indeed cut out too much.

Levy threw the pen aside and slammed it straight onto the bed.

He raised his wrist, which had been slapped earlier that day, and licked his canine teeth with the tip of his tongue, a playful smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

The next morning, Levy went out again.

As usual, the old butler inquired about Levy's whereabouts, but unexpectedly received a shocking answer.

Levy: "Go to the medical center and get your brain checked."

The old butler was so frightened that he dropped everything and followed Levy to the nearest medical center.

The entire capital city is unusually deserted these days, except for the medical center, which is always busy and understaffed, with some popular departments even requiring long queues.

"Your Highness, which department should we go to?" The old steward asked worriedly, wishing he could arrange a full physical examination for Levi.

Levy's goal, however, was very clear: "Psychiatry."

Hearing this answer, the old butler became even more worried.

The psychiatric ward was quiet and almost deserted.

Levy waited inside for a while, feeling bored, before a doctor who had been transferred from another department finally arrived.

"Psychiatry?"

"Seeing a psychiatrist at this time? That doesn't make sense. If someone had mental health issues, how could they have come out of the medical pod so quickly?"

The conversation slowly approached from the corridor, abruptly stopping as the door to the waiting room was opened.

Having finally managed to get a new job, Duds started trembling again when he saw the people waiting in the room.

"you……"

Dodd gripped the doorknob, wanting to slam the door shut and run away, but for the sake of his sparsely haired but still intelligent mind, he bravely remained upright.

"It's you?"

Levy looked on and laughed.

But no one knows whether the smile on his lips is simply happiness at seeing an acquaintance, or a malicious attempt to prank someone.

Dud quickly said, "How about I apply to change your doctor?"

Dudley's words were very sincere, but the Crown Prince, who was sitting casually in the waiting room, shook his head.

He leaned forward and tapped his head with his finger: "No need. Didn't you perform brain surgery on me before? You did a great job. You'll do it this time."

The steward was taken aback, not expecting that His Highness the Crown Prince had undergone brain surgery.

But Dr. Dodd outside the door reacted in an absurd way, collapsing to the ground with a thud. He frantically waved his hands, saying, "No, no, no, I was just a recorder!"

Ultimately, Dodd bravely got up and assisted Levy in undergoing a series of examinations.

The butler supervised from the side, because Dr. Dodd's hands were shaking the whole time, and he was afraid that the man might accidentally connect the wires to the wrong place.

This crown prince, who appeared out of nowhere, is very difficult to get along with; this is the consensus of everyone who knows Levi.

However, Dodd was the most afraid of Levy that the butler had ever seen, even though Mr. Dodd was already middle-aged and should not have been so afraid of a young man.

Camin was also afraid of Levi, but that fear was mixed with a bit of trust and admiration, which the butler could understand.

But Dodd's fear was clearly more profound than Cumming's.

Human fear stems either from the unknown or from a deep understanding of terrifying things, and Dr. Dodd clearly falls into the latter category.

The butler couldn't help but wonder what extra information Dud had learned.

"Your Highness, you are in good spirits."

After glancing at the readings on the instrument, Dudley spoke up.

The butler glanced at the instrument screen and saw that the indicators were either red or gray, jumping between the highest and lowest values.

Can this be called being in good mental condition?

Before the butler could ask, Dudley, clearly realizing something, added, "Compared to your previous data."

Levy sat up from the instrument and casually pulled off all the wires attached to his head.

He glanced at the screen, tapped his temple, and said, "I've lost a piece of my memory."

Seven more days later.

Qin Chu took over a new body, still wearing the same black robe as before.

The body had just undergone leg surgery before falling into a coma, and now it walks with a slightly pigeon-toed gait, which Qin Chu found very uncomfortable, fearing that he might accidentally break the body's leg again.

But that's not why he was hiding in the corner.

When I last came to see Levi, there were too many people, so there were some things I couldn't bring up.

This time, he completely lost interest in telling stories in public.

However, the cabinet is unlikely to be quiet for a while, and the young master of the Larousse family will probably be visiting often.

Qin Chu's stories are all based on his own experiences. It's fine for others to hear them once in a while, but if they hear them too often... he'll want to punch them.

Having already resigned himself to a wasted trip, Qin Chu considered that perhaps he should just climb in through the window at night next time.

But when he peeked into the main gate of the Royal Palace, he couldn't help but pause in surprise.

The huge Roy Palace was still deserted, with only Burke standing guard.

But today, Lieutenant General Burke was dressed rather unusually…

This deputy commander of the First Legion, Qin Chu's capable lieutenant, was wearing a large display board, making him look like a salesman on stage.

A short while later, the bright red aircraft stopped at the entrance of Roy Palace, and Camin stepped off.

Cumming walked up to Burke and said something.

With a blank expression, Bertholdt flipped open a page of the sign on his body, which read in large characters: "Roy Palace is closed today. All unauthorized personnel shall leave."

Kamin scratched his head and slunk away.

A short while later, the dark gray aircraft carrying cabinet officials landed in front of the Royal Palace.

The hatch opened, and this time only Mulin stepped out.

Mullin saw the sign on Burke's body, but probably thought he didn't belong to the "other people", so he simply walked into Roy Palace.

But Burke's broad body shifted, blocking his path.

Mulin glanced at him: "I want to see the Crown Prince."

Burke glanced at him and turned the page on the tag on his body.

A bold, unrestrained sign read: "Cabinet and dogs not allowed."

Mulin's face flushed red as he turned and left.

At the opposite street corner, Qin Chu stared at the sign in silence for a moment, then walked towards the gate of the Royal Palace.

Upon seeing him approach, Burke immediately turned over the sign on his person.

Both lines feature bold, unrestrained characters, yet the content is entirely different: "Welcome to Roy Palace."

Happy New Year!

Let's go for 2022!

Chapter 82, Fifth Story (1)

Qin Chu was wearing a hood, and Burke was wearing a sign.

The two looked at each other in bewilderment.

A few seconds later, Burke couldn't hold back any longer and raised his hand to wipe his face.

"Stop looking, bro."

That's so damn embarrassing.

Whether it's the act of hanging up the sign or the extremely hypocritical words on the sign, it's all wrong.

Qin Chu was also filled with mixed feelings and didn't know how to express them for a moment.

So he reached out and flipped the sign off Burke back to the "Do Not Disturb" page.

Burke paused for two seconds, then chased after him, ready to yell, "I thought you were going to just take it off for me!"
